Skid Row
Skid Row is an area of Downtown Los Angeles that holds one of the largest population of homeless in the United States. There are no defined boundaries but it is generally used to refer to the area east of San Pedro Street, south of Third Street, west of Central Avenue, and north of Seventh Street. As you pass through these streets, people live covering themselves with only cardboard or in tents, if they're lucky. In 2011, the estimated population was over 4,000 people inhabiting Skid Row.
