IT'S OUT TO GET ME AND IT'S ALL IN MY HEAD.
LIFE HAD BECOME STRANGE... or at least Viktor would like to have think so. After the hellish events at the museum the other day, the blonde spy couldn't shake the feeling that occurrences such as those would perhaps happen much more often. It left him feeling paranoid and somewhat jumpy, making it quite difficult for him to go anywhere without feeling like something bad was going to happen. He was beginning to think that all of these things were making him slowly insane, but that wasn't true, was it? Nevertheless, he had been feeling a bit drained as of lately; it didn't help that he stayed shut indoors with Gia as his only company now that Perestroika unexpectedly passed. As the Russian male paced around his condo, he couldn't help but feel as if the walls were closing in on him. He knew it was just his imagination, that there was no way the walls were doing that, but it just felt that way for the moment. Perhaps he had been cooped up in his condo a little too long... Hazel-green eyes glancing at the clock, he took into account that it was only a quarter til one in the afternoon. Groaning at the time, he began to regret waking up at four in the morning. Although, it's not like it was his fault; too many things were beginning to haunt him whenever he slept. So what if he was a little sleep deprived?
Viktor began rubbing his temples in attempt to soothe a nonexistent headache before it occurred to him that he perhaps needed some fresh air. A change of scenery would also do quite nicely when he thought about it. Sure, the view of the beach was beautiful and all, but after staring at it for the last few days, it no longer held the luster it once had. Yup, a walk sounded wonderful right about now.
Heading into his bedroom, he quickly went in there to retrieve his wallet. However, right before he stepped out of the room, the blonde man paused and took the gun he had next to his nightstand. After all the weirdness, he most certainly wasn't leaving without a gun. With his gun now hidden, he looked around the room once more to check if anything was out of place. Brushing it off, he muttered a quick "I'll be back" to the cube sitting at the foot of his bed before running out of his apartment.
After about an hour of walking around the city, the Russian male could say that he most definitely felt relaxed. Taking a walk had done wonders to him; he no longer felt all that drained and he wasn't jumping at every little noise. In fact, he felt quite a bit more energetic than he had in the last few days. Perhaps all this nonsense was all in his head. Yup, all this craziness was happening in his head that was brought on by stress and exhaustion. That made logical sense... But did that mean he had only pretended to see all those creatures? And what about Gia and that weird piece of the tablet? And what about... that weird dream that almost seemed like a memory?
Shoving away all those thoughts for the sake of not having a mental breakdown in the middle of the street, he spotted a cafe not too far ahead of him. Hmmm... Coffee or anything with caffeine sounds very tempting right about now, he mentally noted, changing the direction of his strides to the little cafe.
Upon opening the door, he moved to get in line while hazel eyes immediately went straight to the menu. After perusing through contents of the menu, he settled on a simple large cup of coffee. Walking right up to the cashier, he placed his order with the young teen and quickly paid before moving off to the side to allow the next customer to order.
Exhaling, Viktor let his thoughts begin to wander all over again as his gaze was set on the window. There was nothing more that life could unexpectedly throw at him, right?
