Bailey asked what would help them wake up, but the girl gave no real response. Instead, she scoffed at the group, calling them all stupid. "Hey, I told you! We aren't stupid--" Hayden began, but that was when the other man interrupted, seemingly irritated, actually losing his cool. The boy gulped as he glanced back at the older man, then glanced back at Bailey. "But they say if you die in a dream, you die in real life!" Hayden exclaimed. That didn't sound very appealing, not at all.
"This isn't the time to be arguing," he began. "Can we-- can we please work together? Maybe we'll find a solution. Maybe there will be some sort of way to wake Bailey up. It sounds crazy, but it's the only thing that I can think of," he said, eyes darting back and forth. Nothing else was going to jump at them, right? Who knew what a nightmare could do? The thought that he could pinch Bailey as well cropped up. Hayden opened his mouth, about to ask permission, but then...
No, maybe the element of surprise would help. Maybe that was what was missing, some sort of physical shock, some pain to wake you up. All Bailey needed was a little push, right? With that, Hayden nipped over to where the other male was, taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry..." he began, before grabbing hold of the other man's ear in a swift motion. With that, he gave Bailey's ear a sharp, angry tug.

tagged: fate, mikhail, hayden. time: may 12, 2012 - 1:30AM. speech: bailey. notes: i gave up halfway through it. Right, because waking up was as easy as one, two, three. If it was, then dragging himself out of bed every morning wouldn't be the chore that it was. The lady who could actually make sense of all of this had disappeared, and if there was every a person that Bailey could apply the term "crochety old man" to, it would be the pale man. Alright, so maybe that one math teacher back in Bolivia had been the most crochety old man of them all, but this man still definitely rated on the scale somewhere. Well, at least he was trying to help. A little bit. Sort of.
With a sigh, Bailey crossed his arms and... well, attempted to wake up. He really had no idea how, so he tried everything he could think of. Closing his eyes and telling himself it was all just a dream, biting down hard on the inside of his mouth (since he couldn't exactly pinch himself with gloved fingers), that sort of thing. But none of it was actually helping, which was, honestly, frustrating now that all he wanted was to be out of this dream. He looked over at Hayden when the other started to speak, and while Hayden was trying to get everyone to work together to help and Bailey hated to have to break it to him, Bailey felt inclined to tel the other that the pale man was, at least from the looks of it, either only able to help this much or was only willing to help this much. Either or.
Not that it mattered, because the next thing he knew, Hayden had barely said sorry and suddenly he felt like his ear was going to be pulled right off out of nowhere. "Oww...!" Bailey exclaimed out loud, jolting upright. "Hayden, what the -- oh." Rubbing at his ear (that was somehow smarting even now), he realized that he was now in his room, having somehow managed to kick his blankets onto the floor. Huh. Weird. That had been a weird dream, regardless. However, there was residual concern over the events of the dream, and Bailey groggily shuffled out of bed over to Callum's room to check on him. Just to make sure he was okay and all. It was a decision that he would regret well into the next week. So much for concern. "Callum Frederick Snow, what the fuck are you doing?!"

She left. They woke up. Life proceeded as normal, except for maybe Hayden (though he's probably still as unlucky as before). No, the dream eater would probably not haunt their dreams for a while, not actively anyways.
Everyone gets 3 residue for participation.
