HELLO FRIENDS I'M ROGUE AND I'M REALLY OBSESSED WITH HARRY POTTER AHAHA sobs. SO I WAS WONDERING-- what houses would your characters have been in?? And what year would you stick them in in the case of a Harry Potter AU? Or would they be old enough to be professors, maybe? Or working somewhere else? IDK let's just talk about a Harry Potter AU because I love HP AUs so much.

Okay so this is way harder then expected UHHHH..
Mikhail is almost certainly a Ravenclaw. This one I'm pretty clear on, and it's one I didn't really have to test. He values knowledge, and while he has a few things holding him back (regrets over the past and his cowardice), he does seek to learn more about the world around him.
Moose I was iffy on, but the pottermore test makes it pretty clear he's a gryfindor. It fits him really--he's the kind who would stupidly rush into battle to help a friend.
Keijiro is another pretty clear one to me. I always see him as a slytherin with a bit of hufflepuff. He wants recognition. He wants to be seen as someone good at what he does, and he seeks that out even at the cost of others at times.
Lucien is flat out syltherin. Even if he doesn't act it so much anymore, he's a slytherin at heart.
Eilia is all hufflepuff. She's more in the 'we'll take the rest'. She's not power hungry or brave or knowledged focused--she wants to be accepted and little else.
Anastasia I had to test for. She's actually a gryffindor as well, which makes sense.

RHIANNON CHOU → SLYTHERIN - She seeks fame and has grand ambitions -- her big thing is to become a famous fashion designer, after all. While she isn't necessarily cunning or sly in the traditional sense, she can be rather underhanded and will play the part of sweet and polite and defenseless if she feels that it will benefit her. In short, she can be rather manipulative, and chances are that if she does something that seems extremely generous of her, there's an ulterior motive behind it. She is truly caring to those that she is close to, and does treat most people nicely, but unless you've really wormed your way into her heart to where she would rather die than be without you, remember this -- she wants you to remember her as a good and perfectly sweet girl, so that you will feel at least reluctantly obligated to help her when she asks.
GABRIEL KINGSTON → HUFFLEPUFF - Had to test on this one because I wasn't sure, but my initial guess was right. You see, Gabriel's entire being is more or less centered around looking for his estranged and missing twin brother, and is completely devoted to that so much that he would do anything to make it happen -- which may or may not be a good thing.
We all know how that goes. But overall, he's a warm, supportive sort of guy who is honestly quite content with being encouraging to those around him. Honestly, if there's anyone out there who just wants to live in a house with a white-picket fence with the people he loves and cares about and have a pet dog, its Gabriel. The return to happiness, really, is the bottom line as to what he wants. BAILEY WHELAN → HUFFLEPUFF I'm not really surprised, I get a lot of Hufflepuffs. It's fairly clear to me that Bailey would be a Hufflepuff. After all, he does value his friends beyond all else, and in essence, they really are the most important to him when it comes down to everything. He is extremely loyal to them, going so far as to go against his own common sense to accompany them on their crazy shenanigans. Loyalty, really, is where it's at. He would never betray his friends, and if he were to find himself in position where he has to choose between two people that he really cares about, he wouldn't know what to do. You know that question about only being able to save one out of two people hanging off of a cliff? He'd rather fall off the cliff himself than choose who gets to survive if they were both people who are really close to him. KONSTANTIN LENHOFF → RAVENCLAW - Ugh, okay, this one was actually really hard. I tested for Konstantin and he got Ravenclaw, but he seems so Hufflepuff to me. Then I realized that he would likely be a Hatstall between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. I had pegged Konstantin for a Hufflepuff because of his kind nature and silent compassion for others, but then, if I really think about it, had he not been bound by the Impedio Society and been allowed to grow up as he wanted, he could potentially have grown to be a Ravenclaw. As a child, he was very curious, and wanted to how to do many different things. I think that given the chance, Konstantin would have dabbled in a little bit of this and that and everything in between, essentially becoming a jack-of-all-trades sort of person. I suppose Ravenclaw is also applicable in that he is attempting to seek his own truth and where he stands on things -- though the conclusions have very Hufflepuff-sounding leanings. Hence him being Hatstall between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff -- which I guess makes quite a bit of sense for someone who wants to be a preschool teacher if he had the chance. Because he can satisfy both sides that way -- imparting his knowledge for Ravenclaw, and taking care of children for Hufflepuff. Though I suppose that in a Harry Potter AU, the Sorting Hat would have put him in Ravenclaw because Konstantin at age eleven would have cringed at what his father and grandfather (as well as most of his family) would have said if he ended up in Hufflepuff.
That was fucking long.
ALSO HI I'M SYLPH AND I REALLY SUCK AT MAKING GRYFFINDOR CHARACTERS OTL;;

Post by NAOS DIA on Oct 1, 2013 5:56:53 GMT -8
WOW I SPENT TOO MUCH TIME ON THIS. I wasn't going to go through Pottermore, but then I did because I wanted to know their wands and actually test for their houses, oops. Naos Dia | (FelicisQuill441) House: Ravenclaw Wand: Black Walnut with Phoenix Feather Core, Eleven Inches, Hard Pet: Western Green Toad
OKAY, for me his house was actually between Ravenclaw and Slytherin because he's a Dia. I feel like they would be some overly large pureblood wizarding family, because lol the Dia family. However, he is quirky, intelligent, and ceaselessly curious enough to end up in Ravenclaw. He'd also make a really awful leader and doesn't particularly care about what people think of him, so that helps rule the other house out. Plus, those riddles at the common room door? PFT, NO PROBLEM GUYS, HE'S THE FIRST IN. His pet would have been the Western Green Toad, but it would have been likely dissected in a moment of boredom not long into his first year. He would have liked all of his classes and been one of those overachievers who took everything they let him. However, his favorite classes would have been Potions and Alchemy. Kyu-Sik Moon | (RuneYew2944) House: Slytherin Wand: Beech with Unicorn Core, Fourteen and a Half Inches, Unbending Pet: Tawny Owl (shared with Mi-Ho)
I was really on the fence about where to put Kyu-Sik, because I could've been terrible and made him a loyal and hardworking Hufflepuff. However, I do like Slytherin for him, it works! Up until a year ago, he was hardworking because he wanted to succeed and be the best at what he did. He was happy with that and deep down he still has an ambitious spirit. He becomes obsessive, even when he has a more bleak outlook than usual. Though he takes failure quietly, he also takes failure really poorly. So, yes, subtle and introverted Slytherin~ I imagine the twins would be half-blood. His pet would have been a Tawny Owl that he shared with his sister. He would have sat around as a first year mimicking its call with his flute because he's a dork. His favorite classes would have been Music and maybe Astronomy. And Study of Ancient Runes? Looool. Mi-Ho Moon | (AccioYew3227) House: Slytherin Wand: Larch with Phoenix Feather Core, Thirteen and a Quarter Inches, Supple Pet: Tawny Owl (shared with Kyu-Sik)
Not quite sure if I would've put Mi-Ho in Slytherin, because she doesn't care about what people think of her and she is lacking in ambition. However, Mi-Ho doesn't really fit any of the other major house qualities, and I suppose Slytherin fits her attitude more than any other house. Aaand Slytherin works for Hermit arcana somewhat, too, because Merlin? /shot She would have been half-blood obviously. She also would have shared her pet with her brother, but likely would have considered it noisy more often than not. Her favorite classes would have definitely been Charms and Transfiguration, because I imagine her being good at things that require some precise movement. Edith Herschel | (BludgerGhost31257) House: Gryffindor Wand: Holly with Unicorn Core, Twelve Inches, Unbending Pet: Tabby Cat
Edith is exactly where I would have put her. Which is pretty predictable, looool. She would have been that rowdy muggle-born Gryffindor chick who knew a fascinating amount about muggle technology because mechanic parents. She would have gotten into fights during and about quidditch, been really terrible at the more subtle arts, and then she would have dated nerdy Ravenclaw Harold in her final three years of school. <3 Her pet would've been an mangy old tabby cat that likely passed away during her fifth year or so. Her favorite classes would have beeeeeen Defense Against the Dark Arts and Muggle Studies. Muggle Studies = Easy A CONSIDERING HER AGE, she would now obvs be out of school, lolol. If she ever became a teacher anywhere, she'd ttly teach Muggle Studies, because she's ttly got that covered.

I was supposed to be doing homework but I got distracted whoops.
Alexus Lovell Gryffindor
Alexus was very difficult, very, very tricky. She doesn’t have any defining traits that would push her into any of the four houses. I had to take a test of her and she got put into Gryffindor but I’m still really skeptical. I can see why she was placed there though. She’s much to considerate to be Slytherin and she’s not patient enough to be Hufflepuff. She’s definitely not as smart as Ravenclaw either. Then again, at the moment, she’s not particularly brave or courageous. It’d probably show through more once she actually meets Rhiannon and has some more plot development. Best class would definitely be Herbology. She’s like a ninja and makes a fantastic stalker thanks to her training so she may or may not be tempted to go plant hunting in the Forbidden Forest.
Amanda Smith Ravenclaw
This one was a no brainer, really. She's incredibly intelligent to the point that she is bored and starts coming up with her own spells. The problem is that she sees people less intelligent than her to be beneath her. She'd be somewhere in middle, possibly fourth year so she can begin preparing for her O.W.L.s. She's incredibly proud and can be kind of a bitch to people she doesn't like so she'll probably solve the riddles to the Ravenclaw Common room and enter herself but not let anyone else in since they didn't solve it themselves. A lot of classes will come really easily to her but Flying in particular will be incredibly difficult only because that's more of a physical than intellectual class.
Eric Kobayashi Hufflepuff
Say hello to the Hogwarts Music professor. Yes there is a Music class at Hogwarts, look it up. Eric is pretty laid back as a teacher and incredibly patient with students. His brothers will have it easier than everyone else even if he tries not to show it. How could he resist their puppy dog eyes? As they're guardian, he's more or less responsible for them for the entire school year. He shouldn't be abusing his powers but does so inadvertently in order to keep his brothers out of trouble. And if we pull even more from TF, Eric would probably get swarmed by female students since he's one of the younger professors and why not? He has a way with women but not his brothers unfortunately.
Jean Chang Slytherin
Dude, we've talked about this. Extensively. To the point where we're tired of the topic and still we bring it up again. Jean would quite obviously be in Slytherin though. He's intelligent in that he can calculate and manipulate people rather well. He's good at reading people and uses it to his advantage to get ahead in life. Of course he doesn't actually use his observational skills for the good of the world and only for personal gain. He doesn't care who he has to get rid of in order to advance his goals, he trusts that they'll figure out how to dig themselves out of his mess somehow. Best class would be Potions hands down. I suspect that if there was a Harry Potter AU I'd have tossed him in the upper years. He'd also be a pureblood because his grandparents are hella traditional and would never marry their child off to someone they deem unworthy. Here, have an obligatory room of requirement joke.
Keiko Takahashi Gryffindor
She's a cop so courage and bravery seem to go hand and hand. Keiko could have easily been a Hufflepuff as well thanks to her patience and all. She'd be a prefect and would have her hands full trying to keep everyone from her house in order (read: Kyoko). She'd have a really good idea of the entire layout of the school within the first couple years just because she has to hunt down Kyo before nighttime otherwise they'd be in so much trouble. Has a serious dislike of Libertine and all the other troublemakers since she's a goody two shoes and does everything by the book. I expect that she'd be pretty good at Defense Against the Dark Arts and Astronomy cuz you can tell directions using the stars.
Terebellum Dia Hufflepuff
He lacks ambition and is a weird one. I had no idea what to with him so here you go, I stuffed him in Hufflepuff. He’d be in the lower years, possibly first or second. His best class would be Care of Magical Creatures for obvious reasons. He doesn’t mind the Hogwarts weather that much only because it’s a temperate climate and there’s still the possibility of snow. His grades are average, his life is average, and the only thing preventing him from being something special is the fact that he’s not allowed to have a taste of any of the magical creatures. There is more than enough food in the dining hall but he does get curious. If all the Dias ever get together he’s stick to Naos since they’re close enough in age and he can help him with his homework and he’d also be close to Saiph for obvious reasons.
Tsuyu Shields Gryffindor
He’s reckless, absolutely reckless. He just goes ahead and does stupid shit without thinking which more or less fits the description of Gryffindor. (According to the Slytherins anyway.) He’s one of the troublemakers only because of his lack of a filter and his penchant for getting into fights all the time. He’d be pretty good at Arithmancy and Defense Against the Dark Arts but would more or less fail any other courses he gets thrown into.
Venedict Chaplin Slytherin
Venedict was difficult, man. He could have easily been put into Ravenclaw because of how much of a science nerd he is but his personality ultimately won out. He's an assassin for goodness sake. He cares about himself and no one else. Best classes are definitely Arithmancy and probably Muggle Studies. He'd most likely be a half blood except he probably grew up more in the muggle world and therefore still has an affinity with computers and electronics. He hates Care of Magical Creatures class only because he sees no use in learning about creatures that he cares little to none apart. He's got a vendetta against animals, particularly furry ones. If anything Venedict will definitely be in the upper years as an established man whore.
