Living Situation Chamber works as an exotic animal veterinarian, taking care of not only cats and dogs, but snakes, lizards, birds, big cats, apes, horses, fish, you name it! The local zoo tends to use the veterinary office she works at for their animals needs. She is in the upper class averaging between 90-100k per year. She lives in a modular three bedroom two bath home on two acres that she is paying off, owing only 24,000 left and paying 500 a month for it. The house was more than halfway paid for by her grandfather as a gift to her for getting a 3.8 average graduating from college. If she had made a 4.0 it would have been entirely paid off. As for a vehicle she owns a black 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 that she uses to haul around feed, trash, and trailers for her job as well as her own personal two horse trailer. She shares her home with her pets, a flock of 15 chickens, 2 horses, multiple fish, and a dog. She currently has her spare rooms up for rent. 02. Appearance Chamber only stands five foot five inches weighing a decent one-hundred and thirty pounds. She is very lean, having a decent amount of muscle due to her job; she has to lift animals more than half her weight quite often. She has a heart shaped face with high cheek bones and a narrow button nose. She has short blonde hair that is just slightly wavy. Her eyes are a rounded almond shape and are a gorgeous amber color that often can look red or gold hued in the sunlight. She has a very small bust being a AA cup. Most of the time she just wears a sports bra if she really even needs it. She has multiple piercings in both of her ears, three on her lower lip, as well as a belly button piercing. She has a tattoo on her back of two wolf heads howling atop a dream catcher, and another on her left hip of a Siamese fighting fish. As for attire she tends to dress rather plainly. As shoes go she tends to favor converse sneakers, sandals, or being barefoot to wearing nice dress shoes or high heels. On her days off you can find her wearing a pair of jeans or shorts with a tank top or t-shirt, and holes don't matter all that much to her. When the weather gets cooler you can find her wearing a hoodie or light sweater. When at work she is always wearing scrubs, often in reds and black, though she has a few animal printed ones, with a white doctors coat. 03. Personality
04. History Chamber was born at approximately 11:56 pm, almost January 14th, though not under ideal circumstances. Her mother was rushing herself to the hospital after her water breaking two months early from the due date. She was in the middle of the grocery store parking lot when it happened, and since the hospital was closer she chose that instead of going home or waiting.. Her father was also speeding to the hospital to meet her after she said she wouldn't wait for him but that she would meet him there since she didn't think the baby would wait. After having a particularly strong contraction her mother's vision blurred for a moment and that was all it took. She didn't see the red light, nor did she see the semi truck, at least till it was too late. In the emergency room her father stood there holding her hand speaking to her softly telling her mother to hang in there. She was just barely holding onto life. She smiled at him and squeezed his hand. The doctors rushed her away leaving her father to sit in the waiting room. All he could do was break down to tears. After an hour passed they brought out a little bundle and handed it to him. There in his arms was his little daughter, she did not cry or stir, she simply looked up at him, blinking her little eyes as if the light was bothering her. He held her close to his chest and wept as they told him that his wife did not survive the ordeal though she did name the child if he desired to keep the name. Chamber Vixen Hawthorn was stamped onto the birth certificate. Chamber was a name the two had both agreed on a long time ago, hawthorn of course was her fathers last name. As for Vixen, her grandfathers name was Fox, and they wanted to feminize it, thus vixen as in a female fox. A bit strange yes, but it had meaning within the family. It was difficult for her father raising her. He had no idea how to take care of babies, luckily that is where his mother stepped in and helped him. No that doesn't mean his mom did all the work. She just simply showed him the tricks of things and how to manage it all with work. It was a single parent home, and stressful most of the time, but it was worth it, for those little smiles his daughter would give him, or the giggles as they came along. From an early age she was spoken to in all three of the languages her family spoke. When her grandparents were over they often spoke in russian or german, but spoke to her directly in English when teaching her things. Funny thing was though, even though they taught her "dad" when they were speaking to her, she would hear them say vati or папа, and her first word ended up being vati. After that they just started talking to her like they would each other, crossing between the two languages sometimes. Granted it was often confusing but she got the hang of it. Once she was about two years old she was already potty trained and she was being babysat by her grandpa while her dad went to work. Her grandmother still worked at her flower shop, so her grandpa was the best choice as he was already retired from a profitable job of welding and pipe fitting. She was pretty much raised by her grandfather. He taught her how to fish, how to hunt, how to garden, how to fix your block house when it fell down... you get the picture. When she turned five years old her father was hit by a drunk driver while walking Chamber across the street to her grandfathers house. His parents had already crossed and were looking back smiling waiting for them to catch up as Chamber had stopped to pick a dandelion when her father saw the car coming. Knowing he couldn't get them both across fast enough he yanked her up and tossed her over to his parents just in the nick of time. His father caught chamber and that was it. He was pronounced dead on the spot. She cried constantly for him for two months. Her grandparents took care of her after that. She was raised in a home that was very loving and warm, but at the same time they were very strict on what they wanted. She always did her best in school, never getting below a B in class. She learned from her grandmother how to cook and clean, and from her grandfather she learned how to save her money, nature survival, and how to fix a car. When she turned 14 she found a stray dog on the side of the road with a broken leg, she brought the poor thing home but the first thing her grandmother said was no. She said it was a filthy mutt and not fit to live inside. Her grandfather shushed her and knelt down to his granddaughter and smiled. Telling her that they would take it to the vet and get it cleaned up and that she could keep it. After that she knew she was an animal person. It was her responsibility to take care of the dog. She learned to clean his wounds by herself, she picked up his poop, gave him baths, taught him tricks, the works. She got him well trained enough that her grandmother finally took a slight liking to the dog. After that she decided she wanted to go to school for veterinary medicine. She worked diligently to go school to be a vet and got into the school of her choice, after graduating early from higschool, in California and never strayed far from her studies, though to her grandparents dismay she did lurch out a little getting tattoo's an piercings, but at least their granddaughter kept her grades up. While she was at school she signed up for the equestrian club and got her hands onto two horses one was a 2 year old filly the other was a 4 month old colt. Her grandfather told her she could keep them and payed to have her moved to one of the dorms with a stable. It was at that time that he told her if she would graduate with 3.0 or better he would help her pay for a house, and that if she got a 4.0 he would flat out buy her one. She ended up graduating with a 3.8 average and he put down a down payment on a house for her on two acres with a small four stall barn in California were she just finished school. She didn't want to move back to Illinois with the horses as it would be a terribly long drive for them. She settled down, landed herself a job, and made a home for herself. Later buying herself a german shepherd puppy to keep her company indoors as she missed her old dog back home who had passed on while she was in college. She has since graduated and been in the working field for two years now, and her hard work has indeed payed off. Thanks to her grades she does not have much of a school loan, having applied for many grants, as well as her grandparents helping out. |
