OOC Info Played By DraffleAlso Plays LISTOTHER CHARACTERS HERE Plot Preference MediumFace Claim Ouma Shu from Guilty Crown | 01. Living Situation Haruki Owns and Runs a Workshop in Los Angeles, making a living out of fixing, modifying and buying/selling cars. The workshop is small, but with the money he gets from his Father backing his workshop and the money he gets from his business, he lives a upper-middle class life above the workshop. 02. Appearance Haruki stands at 5 feet 11 inches, with a long slender body. His arms and feet looks weak and thin, but they are actually quite strong. He has a normal skin tone, not tan yet not pale. His hair is light brown/nearly black, and usually looks like bedhair. His left eye is colored yellow and the right is colored red. Nose and mouth a little smaller than average. He has some scars and burn marks on his hands. He usually wears a white T-Shirt with a black leather jacket, black jeans and black shoes made for running. He wears a pair of sunglasses to cover up his eyes, and a pair of fingerless gloves that covers his hands down to his elbow to cover up the scars. He also owns several black shirts and jeans to use when working. 03. Personality Friendly: Haruki is quite friendly to everyone. He does not care about who you are, what you work with, how much money you have nor who you are friends with. He only cares about how you act. If you are a douche, he will treat you like a douche. If you are a nice guy, he will treat you that way. He bases his opinion of you on what he sees you do. He won’t hate you if you do that stuff thou. He will just….maybe ignore you. Or greatly reduce the time he spends around you if he can. Calm: Haruki has quite the calm head, making him able to make quick decisions without losing his head. This also applies almost everywhere else. He does not get angry. His fuse is so long that everyone stops trying to tick him off out of impatience. This also leads many to believe that he hides his emotions, not letting them be shown on his forever calm face. This is not the case. He just does not let the emotions get in the way of his thinking. Confident/Determined: Haruki is unusually confident and determined. When he makes a choice, he stands by it, no matter how absurd or dangerous it might seem. His determination works in cooperation with his confidence, making it hard to trail him off his goal. Many vehicles have been made in an odd fashion due to this trait. Mysterious: Haruki does not like to talk about his past. Wether this is a positive or a negative trait is unknown. This trait is what lead him to wear gloves and sunglasses in the first place, as his eyes and the scars would make him way easier to pick out in a crowd. He does not like people prying into his past, and therefore almost always ends up giving people that he meets fake names and avoids talking about his past to throw them off his trail. This trait might have been caused by his wish to live an easy life. Risk-Taker: Although Haruki might be calm, he does often end up taking unnecessary risks. This is due to his life, althou being easy and safe, leads him to get bored when he is not tinkering, and this caused him to get a little hooked on the adrenaline that flows through him when he takes risks. Sadly, he slowly ends up taking bigger risks just to get the adrenaline pumping due to this negative trait. Untrusting: Due to his childhood Haruki does not trust people easily. It might seem that way because he is friendly and calm, but actually gaining his trust is a completely different matter. He is always cautious due to this trait, and often ends up surprising people who thought of him as a friend only to discover that he was ready for a betrayal at any time. Vengeful: Haruki is quite vengeful. This trait works as a triggered cold and silent rage, causing him to cast off his friendly face and hunt down the people responsible. The things that can trigger it would be betraying him, harming someone he considers a friend (anyone he Trusts] and intentionally damaging one of his personal vehicles. So yeah, you do now want to get on his bad side. Impatient: Haruki is really impatient. If he is somewhere, and he has nothing to do, he will begin to walk around and fiddle with things, restlessly. He needs something to occupy him, and it is quite hard for him to eat out on the city due to the time he has to wait for the food. This trait also makes him concerned about punctuality. If he has to be somewhere at a specific time, he will do everything he can to be there a minute or two before, or at most five minutes after. But if he does find something to occupy him, he can wait as long as the thing can keep his hands busy. Which more often than not, is not that long. 04. History When Haruki was born, he looked just like any other baby. Blue eyes, no hair, small body. A healthy young boy. Born in Norway with good healthcare and all that stuff. He gained his name from his mother, which at the time was a real nut about Japanese culture and anime, and his last name, Mithril, was his father’s family name, originating from the old days when his family was centered around smithing and metalworking, being named after a metal and all. But after a few months it was clear that he was not like everyone else. The Melanin, the stuff that determines eye color, changed. His left eye got all the Melanin, changing the eye from a Bright calming Blue to a Sharp, deep Yellow. His right eye, now without any Melanin whatsoever, had nothing to color it, and instead turned a deep red because of the blood vessels in the eye. His parents thought nothing off it, thinking it did not matter. But sadly that simple difference would change his life. During his childhood years, Haruki went from crawling to walking and from spouting baby gibberish to speak full sentences. He matured quite quickly and gained a lot of friends that he played with a lot. He lived in a small secluded place in Norway the most of his childhood, in a small town where the people were friendly and watched out for each other. The school was small, but it had nice teachers. He went there the first 4 years of school. But then he turned 10. And everything changed when his family moved to USA so that his father could have a better job. New country, new town, new school. Only thing Haruki knew was the language, since his father was from USA and Haru had asked him to teach him. Other than that, his mother and he had no idea what to expect. His father had assured him that he would get new friends and things would be just fine. He was 10 at the time, so of course he thought his father knew best. But sadly, it was not that simple. The new school was something Haruki had looked forward to. But the very instant he entered the school grounds he could feel their stares at him. It made him really uncomfortable. What was it about him that made them stare so intensely? He decided to ignore it, and slowly the days went by in this new school. Thanks to his father he could understand the Teachers, and he was about average in all the classes except Psychical Education. He performed the best in there. Later that year, he had gained a couple of friends, people he met outside of school and had fun with. They were a female his age that had approached him with a male that was one year older than him. After school they often ended going to the mall to hang out, among other things. And they had made him aware of his eyes making him stand out. At that time he had begun to wonder, but he never really cared about it. And so, the years passed. Four whole years later and Haruki still hung out with the two friends. The time they spent together had drastically decreased through the years, and more often than not Haruki ended up walking the streets alone with headphones on, listening to music. He had started going to one of the few arcades near where he lived, where everyone else would hang out to play games and have fun. His music trips usually lead him there, where he would do a few matches in a game for two or more players before continuing his trips. This lead to a few friendly rivals, and the few times he met his friends. His two friends were always there whenever he happened upon the place, but his male friend seemed to try avoiding being seen near him, as if he were too good to be in the presence of him. Haru had no idea why he began thinking of it like that, and dismissed it as speculations. He had no reason for this anyway. Then one day, after he had defeated one of his Rivals in a friendly game of DDR, his older male friend approached him. Something was different that day. There were a lot more of the older kids there that day. And they were watching Haru and his older friend. He wanted to play a fighting game with Haru. He seemed pretty confident for some reason; even thou Haru had never seen him actually play a game when he had been there at the arcade. It was a basic fighter game. Player versus Player. Only normal kicking and punching, with a few combos were able to be executed, and it was the type that could go on for ages due to the ability to block. It was two screens opposite each other, to prevent cheating by watching the other, and the machine played music according to how the match went. Haru had chosen a fighter that had high speed and technique, while his friend had chosen a buff guy that focused on strength and heavy blows. With the match starting, Haru had no idea how to play this game. But the controls seemed to be easy to learn. A few buttons and a joystick. Nothing too hard. The game was 2D, meaning it was impossible to dodge other than blocking and jumping/ducking. And that was exactly what Haru did when the game started. He ducked. He had done it as a precaution, but by doing so he avoided a heavy blow that his older friend had planned to start a combo with. Using this, Haru just clicked random buttons to the battle music that came out of the stereo, and his character used a move that made him slide under the opponent and punch him rapidly in the groin several times, sending him straight into the red zone of the health meter before finishing him off with an uppercut. This surprised both Haru and his friend. He seemed kinda ticked off, and some of the older guys started mumbling to each other. Some laughed even. But his older friend brushed it off and challenged him to DDR. And that way it kept going, with Haru beating him at the several games he was challenged to. Every time his older friend got more ticked off, and the older guys in the arcade was laughing openly at him at the last game. His older friend had gotten so pissed off now that he seemingly out of nowhere threw a punch at Haru. It connected, and sent Haru into the DDR machine. Haru began bleeding from his nose, and was really confused. Several others were holding down his friend, which had tried to go after Haru to punch him some more. His eyes were wild, and Haru’s eyes were filled with fear. The older guys had started to walk off the moment Haru was punched, and something was obviously going on between them and Haru’s older friend. Not much of a friend really, Haru was thinking as he walked home, still confused. A few days later, something happened. Out of nowhere someone grabbed him and pulled him into a side alley. They began beating him up for seemingly no reason, and stopped only when he was lying on the ground, crying. Then he heard a familiar voice. It was the male friend he had been punched by. He began yelling at Haruki, yelling about how he had humiliated him, how he had always disliked him, and that he was different and how he should be ashamed of himself. How he should just go home to Norway. That day, Haruki for the first time felt the bitter feeling of betrayal, a feeling he had denied a few day earlier. What he did not know was that his female friend actually liked him more than she liked his male friend, mostly due to his eyes, and that the incident a few days ago was his attempt to prove that he was better than Haru. But that feeling soon vanished. Haruki felt his blood rush, the feeling of being betrayed turning into anger. He had been hanging around him for four whole years, only to beat him up on a seemingly random day? That was not something he approved of. His ex-friend and his bullies were losing interest in him, and got ready to leave. Haruki slowly got up on his feet, blood running down the side of his head from a small wound, and several places on his body was in the same condition. Quite the harsh treatment on a 14 year old. But they had failed to realize that Haruki was one of the best in P.E. He just seemed so nice all the time, and no one would think of him as violent. Something they would now change their opinions about. Haruki took two steps forward and planted a punch in the chest of one of the brutes. He then spun around, using the force from the spin to plant another one in one of the other brutes in the chest. The chest punches made them fall on their butts, trying to regain their breaths. two down, three to go. But the two brutes and his ex-friend had turned around. But Haruki was too fast for them. Two more punches, one in each of the brutes chests. Then he spun around, avoiding a panicked punch by his ex-friend and planted a final punch in his chest. They were not trained at all. They had counted on their numbers and build. But now they were all sitting on the ground, trying to catch their breath from the punches while Haruki went home. Haruki never mentioned what happened that day to anyone. After that, he never really trusted anyone from the start. Getting his trust was almost impossible, and he distanced himself from everyone. He started wearing sunglasses to cover up his eyes, and they were what drew attention to him. As the time passed, he started toying around with mechanical parts, and found out that it really relaxed him. When he got old enough, he enrolled into a school for mechanics, hiding his eyes still, only taking them off to switch them out with the face protection for when he used the gas burner to cut off stuff. As he stayed at the school, he did a number of mistakes in the beginning, getting his hands burned and electrified, marked forever with scars that just stayed there as a painless reminder. He got his Father to special order a pair of fingerless gloves made out of fire retardant material for him to be able to work with protection from burning things. It did not help against electricity much thou, and he got shocked a lot during his years on the school. He also spent his free time either experimenting on a scrapped car or running around in the city. But he learned so much that by the time he graduated, he made himself a new car out of different parts and scrap, and set off to Los Angeles. It was quite huge, so he thought he could make a killing off repairing cars. And that was how he ended up as the owner of Harumech. Quite the weird name for a workshop, but his skills was impressive, and soon he was able to do quite well due to his reputation. He started doing home calls, got himself a Motorcycle that he tinkered on, got himself a tow truck, and earner himself money by buying cars, modifying them and then selling them for way more. He had no need to worry about money since his Father was backing Harumech with his reputation and money from home, making it possible for him to hire a crew and advertise while making money. |
