| [bg=454545] Saturday was busy. It was always busy. How could it not be busy? It was always the weekends that everyone has time to do things. So it wasn't a stretch to think that literally the place was packed with people. But really, what happened to relaxing on weekends? Nonexistent, not to Joze anyways. Where had her youth gone, again? Right into working, much to her chagrin. It wasn't to say she didn't like it, but it wasn't as though she enjoyed parading around in this costume of sorts. Still, she smiled and pretended to be happy serving these customers. There was something else about it too - she needed to do something today as well. Wasn't there supposed to be a new person to be hired today, or something? And for goodness sake, why had her boss put her in charge of it? It made no sense at all.
Though, nearing mid-afternoon, around four in the afternoon, there was a lull in activity. After all, it was a rather cloudy and overcast day, not the best weather to be venturing out into this somewhat modest cafe. Less people meant less work, which granted her a little more time to think. Namely about what had happened only four days before.
The week had been busy, enough for her not to even think about that... unpleasant event. But it was almost surreal, though not in a good way. It had been dark, and it was very likely she could have dreamed up the whole sequence, but then she remembered the fire and the strength. That couldn't have been thought up by her mind. Plus, it was so real... No best think of that when she got home.
She had no idea what kind of person person she was supposed to 'interview', but if they wanted a job here they were either desperate or attracted to cute things. Or perhaps really stupid, as she could say about a couple of people who worked in this cafe. After all... this was a maid cafe. Or perhaps they had a cosplay fetish? People did dress up as maids here, so that wasn't completely unlikely. |

When Valoel declared to both Marielle and her parents about getting a job she was met with mixed feelings. Her parents of course worried, yet talking over the phone could only help them so much. They had tried to convince their daughter that she should only worry about school, and leaving and money problems to them. The thing was that Valoel met them with a form of stubbornness that she did not harbor often. Still she had made up her mind, an as an adult she felt that the more adult things she did the better prepared for the world she would be. So when she first spoke with Marielle she made sure to have a notebook of reasons on why she wanted a job. Her main reason was the experience of course and the feeling of being independent from her parent's money. Needless to say after the short talk with Marielle she was able to get the older women to agree with her. The hard part had been her parents, who tried to get Val to understand that school was the only thing she had to worry able. He parents were very loving and thought that paying for everything Valoel would want would be enough. Still Valoel was starting to really think about her future, after all, she was still uninformed about the fact that she had a inheritance waiting for her. After all she had been seven years old when the will had been read.
Her adopted parents were keeping track, waiting to tell Valoel about the money after she turned 21 and was in her last year of college. They knew she would continue her schooling, but they were not sure on how much she remember about her real parents. After what was a three hour talk Valoel did convince her parents that this idea of hers was a good one. They agreed under one condition, she was only allowed to have a day job, and Marielle would have to approve of then work. In her job search she how found the cutest place, and they were hiring. She had her first interview with the owner, who she was sure liked her. Today she was going to meet one of the managers, a miss Josephine. Valoel had made sure to do the first interview under Marielle's radar, but not that she was this close to getting the job she needed Marielle's a approval. She hoped she would get it, after all the place was so cute. Though she was sure her parents was hoping she would look into getting a job at a flower shop or a shelter, sadly nether place was hiring.
She walked into the shop, with Marielle following close behind her. "See I told you, it is a lovely little place. Oh and look at the cute outfits." She caught the attention of one of the workers and spoke to the young women in the maid outfit. "I am here to see a miss Josephine please." The other girl nodded and told Val to wait right there so she could get Joze. While they waited Valoel turned to Marielle. "So what do you think?"

Probably a waitress, or maybe working in retail as one of those overly-friendly floor workers who always asked if you wanted help. She could picture it, oh so perfectly. At least Val had one of those faces that people hesitated to crush under their hate-spewing arguments...well, majority of the time. There were still those occasional douchebags, they were always there, and that was about her only worry for the girl – whatever job she got, eventually, Val would run into one of those customers, and Marielle did not look forward to a bitter talk explaining how some human beings were better off not being allowed to have social interactions for the rest of their lives simply by being a terrible human being.
Besides that, though, the girl's caretaker didn't have a whole lot of qualms with the idea. So long as it didn't interfere with her schoolwork or cause Marielle herself to have to go too far out of her way, she didn't see that many problems with it. She was, however, fairly surprised how quickly the girl managed to find somewhere to catch an interview, but nevertheless agreed to drive her there when it was on one of her days off, figuring it was a good idea to oversee the exchange, anyway, in case she needed to...keep anyone in line. A part of her wanted to think people would remain professional when in their workplace, but the larger part of her knew better – she had personal experience with that kind of crap, too. Better safe than sorry, when it dealt with Val.
When Val mentioned something about it being a cafe, she figured her initial guess of waitress was right. When they got there, though, she was proven very sadly wrong. She wasn't...entirely sure what was going on, and if she should be offended or intrigued. She stood a bit behind the blonde girl, expression reserved and lips pressed thin as she sized up the situation, torn between the disgust of a nearly middle-aged man eyeballing one of the young woman who was serving him, and the undeniable entertainment of the fact that all the servers were young woman gussied up in what was untroubled the fantasy of a personal house maid – with the servant personalities to match, though she suspected that was part of the job. She wouldn't deny she personally wouldn't mind being a customer, but when it came to the idea of Val working here under the scrutinizing eyes of...
She clenched the handles of her bag tightly for a moment and pinched her lips together before she did something she'd regret, took a deep breath, and looked over at her blonde charge, her eyes holding a million arguments why she shouldn't be here, but her mouth managed to force out something a little more neutral. “Are you sure about this? I mean it's a bit...unorthodox.” 'To say the least' her brain added as a tittering brunette passed them in one of the frilly skirts that threatened to give away all her secrets if there was even a small gust of wind. Her brain had yet to decide if that was a bad or good thing.

| [bg=454545] New people to interview! Great, just great. Joze swore if she got another one of those perky, overly happy girls she'd kill someone. She really would. Now that she had the means... No, she could get arrested for something like that. No, she had her future ahead of her. She couldn't murder someone, she couldn't get mixed up in the law like that. No, but she could strangle them in her head if need be. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but knowing the job and the people it attracted Joze could only wish for the best and watch as that wish was far from granted.
And so she was speaking to this... ditzy blond looking person. Because this cafe wasn't already filled with them. Oh no, absolutely not. Of course, she couldn't very well judge, seeing as she probably gave off that feel too, but really? The headaches that would start from this. Joze didn't need another cheerful person. But her boss said that these were the kind of people that they wanted, so there was no doubt that she'd probably be getting the job. She inwardly cringed at the thought. Or maybe this girl wasn't so bad. Never judge a person by their cover, no matter how tempting it was. Nope, she couldn't get anything from the fact that she seemed to be excited. Though she seemed to be nice, so Joze put on her best smile and introduced herself.
It came easier than she thought it would, though. "Hi~ It's nice to meet you. I'm Joze, welcome to the cafe. You're... Val, right?" She brought... really scary company with her. "And it's nice to meet you too!" She really hated being happy, sometimes. So troublesome. Val practically had the job in the bag, the way things were going. "If you'll just follow me, we can do the interview." Which mostly consisted of experience, and how well they suited the uniform of this cafe. |

Valoel watched Marielle carefully, trying her best to judge on what her reaction would be. By now Valoel was sure that she was getting closer to knowing what Marielle was like, but she still worried that she might be doing something wrong in the older women's eyes. "Unorthodox yes, but I really do thing its a sweet cafe, very cute and other then a few extra lines, its like any other cafe or diner."
At least that was how Valoel saw it. The place was cute and the idea of wearing the outfit and pretending to be a maid, was more entertaining then anything. For now Val would say that Marielle's reaction was good, at least she hadn't said no and made Valoel leave. Oh no, they couldn't leave now, she a had and interview after all and leaving would just be rude.
She had her attention stolen away when Joze came over and greeted them. She smiled and nodded, she guessed the girl called her Val since in a all fairness, Valoel was not always easy to get on the first try. "Yes I am, it is a pleasure to meet you." She watched Joze move over to where they would sit and talk. Though before following the younger girl she turned to Marielle.
"Since this shouldn't take long, how about we stay and eat after my interview? If you wouldn't mind grabbing a table, I'll be rght over when it's all done, I'll take a iced tea by the way." She smiled at Mari and left the older women to wander off and do her own thing, probably even spy on the interview.
She went to where Joze was sitting and took a seat from the other women. "Thank you for seeing me."

Like any other cafe...that wasn't exactly how she'd describe it but, to each their own...she guessed. She said nothing against it, and when the two of them were approached by another blonde young woman, Marielle managed to force a smile at her briefly. She wasn't sure how convincing it looked, but hey, she tried. She kept her mouth wisely shut while the two younger women spoke, not missing the irony in the fact that she likely looked very much like a parent right now. She wasn't sure if this was amusing or disturbing. To be fair, it was the least she could do for Val's real parents – scope out the job and relay her thoughts back to them after all this was over...though her 'thoughts' would be carefully tailored to make sure her own opinion didn't filter in, as it was oft in danger of doing.
There was a split second where she debated following her charge into her interview, and it probably reflected in her expression in that brief second, but instead she nodded and suddenly her expression eased into something bit more of a natural smile. It had occurred to her in that second that this was actually a decent opportunity – rather than hover over Val like the parent she properly wasn't, she could take the opportunity to size the place up by herself, without the young woman at her shoulder trying so very hard to sell it to her, and she'd be able to size it up for herself.
So, she waved them off with a more relaxed posture than before and a slight smile, figuring this was the better way to handle it – even if she only had five minutes or so to size the place up. She headed for a free table in the back, feeling no regret when she 'accidentally' stepped on the foot of a young man whose hand had started to wander towards his waitress as she passed his table and smiling at him wickedly so he got the point. The brunette suspected the kid wouldn't have had the balls to follow through with the movement anyway and was just showing off for his table of friends, but that didn't stop her from correcting his mistake.

| [bg=454545] Joze wondered briefly for a moment why anyone would be willing to have this job... it only paid just about as much as a regular waitress, and there was so much more work involved in this job. Then again, this place was always hiring, so maybe she was just desperate? But... this was not the face of a desperate person, it was almost as though she were going to enjoy working here. Well, she shouldn't judge (she shouldn't, but she was going to anyways), all to their own tastes. She had best be starting to accept this person as one of the workers she had to work with, seeing as she fit the bill perfectly as it is.
"It's no problem, as that's my job. We're sort of tight on workers, too." Which begged the question, since when the hell was she in charge of the job interviews? Joze never remembered having anything to do with this when she first started this job, nor had she really been informed that this would be a change. But it just sort of... fell into her lap. She blamed her boss. The boss wasn't exactly... the best person for this sort of thing. "Shall we start?"
Joze sat down as well, facing Val, although from most of the interviews it only took about two or three minutes to answer questions and they were already up and trying on the outfits. She didn't really know why she even bothered, then again she had been working for a good amount of time. The weekdays were always fairly busy and she had been on her feet the whole time. "Do you have any experience with waitressing?" What was that other question she was going to ask? "Oh, and what makes you want to work here?"
Few more questions came off the top of Joze's head, though none too impacting on the interview as a whole. "I also need your size for the uniform - or we can get you fitted right now, if you'd like." |

Words: 000 ● Tag: Mari & Joze ● Notes: Good job Val.
With Marielle off to do her own thing Valoel's fully attention was on the girl before her. They walked over to a free table and took a seat, Joze sitting across from her and asking if they should start, which Valoel answered with a nod and, "Yes, of course." Then the questions came, they were quick and simple, Valoel answered with a smile and honesty.
"No I have not, but I have done a collection of volunteer work at a few places which had some form of serving or customer service. I have the list right here in fact." Valoel opened her pocket book, which was a dull pink, and pulled out a folder that had the information. She placed the folder on the table for Joze, then continued answering the other questions.
"Well first i would have to say that I find this Cafe beautiful, a reasonable distance from my home and I just find it endearing and a lovely place to work. I was also told that the scheduling is done very well if your have a worker that goes to school, which I do. I attend classes at UCLA." She really hoped that the fact that she was going to school would not break her chances of getting the job. After all, the place was cute, Marielle seemed to like it, and Valoel herself liked it a fair amount. She tilted her head at the next question, her size? Why would they need to know this, unless she was getting the job.
Valoel decided to not question the question and answered, smiling like always. "Oh, well sometimes it matters on the brand, but a women's small should work just find. Maybe a medium, mattering if the brand runs small."

| [bg=454545] "Well, volunteer work is a lot better than no work at all." Joze felt the very pressing need to not tell Val about how she was practically guaranteed a job, save if she messed up something bad, like set the place to fire so that there would be no cafe to actually hire her. And she looked at the pink book. Everything about her screams bubbly and cheerful... oh god, and I have to work with her! She'd hope that the interviewee did indeed burn the cafe down, though that would also cost her the job, and she sort of needed this job. The younger girl took the papers, looking at it for a brief moment before taking it into her arms. When she went to the back later she'll file it away somewhere.
Maybe Joze should have expected her to be older than herself, but just the way that she composed herself made that really dubious in itself. And the woman she brought along with her (scary as she may be, which was incredibly scary), seemed sort of like a parent than anything. So someone please explain to Joze how exactly she was older and in college? The blonde maid mentally glared at her. But she proceeded with the steps nonetheless. Man, I still can't believe I'm gonna work with her... can I just say no? Please... Of course, her boss wasn't going to have any of that, at least not the boss that she envisioned.
"A small, hmm?" Looking at her build now, Joze wasn't exactly sure if she could actually fit a small. "If you'll come to the back with me, I think we have some spares. The most important part of the interview is to make sure you can fit the uniform when you start working here." She led Val to the back, where most of the lockers were. She looked through the closet of spare uniforms, digging out one small and one medium. There were some little areas for people who were shy to change, though Joze always found it easier to just take it off - after all, they were all girls and she wanted to get home as fast as she could. She didn't know about Val, though, so she just motioned to one of the stall thingys and handed her the two uniforms. "There aren't any mirrors in there, though, so you'll have to come out if you want to see."

Words: 000 ● Tag: Mari & Joze ● Notes: Joze no like Val?
The interview was going well and Valoel never stopped giving over her excited vibe. The fact that things were going so well only added to her excitement. A job meant she would be seen more as an adult by her friends and family, something she needed to happen. She was twenty years old as still had a caretaker, friends who were very over protective, what about Val? She was sure she could could do this, first step school, second step a job and then the next would be moving out on her own. She could do this, she knew she could, the girl might be bubbly, but she had determination.
She followed Joze to the back changing area, where joze showed her the uniform. Something Joze said confused her just slightly and agaist her better judgement she just had to ask. "When I start working here, so does that mean I got the job?" Valoel left the question open ended as she looked at the uniform. Oh it was so cute, just the right ruffle to it, to make it stand out as cute, but not overly so. After all, they were dressing as maids, not magical fluffy maids from some anime. She took both the small and medium and stood in front of the mirror, trying her best to get an idea of which would fit better. She then looked between Joze and the changing room. Was this some sort of test for shyness? Valoel almost felt that if she when to the spare room to change that she wold be failing some sort of test. So she decided to strip right there.
They were both girls right? What was the harm of changing in front of another girl. Valoel did it with her friends, but that never felt strange, maybe that was because they were friends. With Joze this felt odd, Valoel couldn't help but blush from embarrassment as she removed her top. She was wearing a nice white button down, that had be covered by a small pick jacket that matched her handbag. She placed her shirt on the nearest bench, keeping her eyes from looking back at Joze. She then slipped out of her skirt and folded that over her shirt. She then stood there for a moment in her matching white underwear and looked into the mirror. She held the uniform one more time in front of herself and smiled, she wold look so cute in it. She changed quickly into the uniform, but found that she needed a little help. She looked at Joze and smiled. "Would you mind?" She turned her back to Joze and pulled her hair out of the way so that Joze could help her with the back of the uniform.

| [bg=454545] "You can get the job if I determine you can both fit and pull off the uniform." In all honestly with a face and personality like her's, Joze was pretty sure Val could definitely pull off being a waitress here. She couldn't determine anything until she actually saw Val in the uniform, and in all actually couldn't wait to get this over with. So if she could just hurry up and change, Joze would be happy to go back to her old job, which was not accepting new applicants, but working for tips and her pay. Yes, that would be really nice, so if Val would be so kind as to go to the back room and -
That was really one thing she hadn't quite expected and that was for Val to actually change right in front of her. Nope. Caught off guard, she took a few moments to tear her eyes away from the girl as fast as she could, but by that time she already got a rather nice view of her pale, silky skin. Why... why did that... have to happen. Even when Joze first started working here, it had taken her a couple of days to work up to courage to actually change in front of people. "I'm sorry... I'll just look away now." A bit embarrassed and flustered, Joze doubted that Val had even heard her at all. She shook the thoughts from her mind and tried to think of this from a professional standpoint. At this rate she was going to be working with her, and how in the world could she find someone so stupidly annoying to be so damn attractive?
No, not attractive. Just pretty. Just like her little sister was pretty, or her mom was pretty. Not straining to the eyes. Still, why couldn't the blond resist looking at the older woman as she striped down only to the bare undergarments of her outfit and tantalizingly slid on the uniform. This... this is even better than Katie's that other day. There was a great deal more skin where this was involved. Because the skin on her legs too... she was just in lingerie for Christ's sake, and the brief peek that she did get from that was never going to get out of her head now. Why, why did she do this to herself?! This was just a co-worker, Joze never looked at a co-worker like this. Then again, she herself was always so focused on changing and leaving as fast as she could.
When Val asked for help, Joze was debating whether or not to go help her or not. But... but in order for the woman to not think anything was up (but who the hell couldn't tell with how much she was blushing right now?), she walked up and helped her tie the back of the uniform. But... such skin that was showing on her backside. She had to wipe these thoughts out of her head, maybe she'd go drown herself in schoolwork, that would definitely kill any sort of romantic or lustful thought in her mind. Criss-crossing the uniform once more, she tied the remaining string together. "There. All set." Yep. New hire. Most definitely. The boss would be absolutely crazy to turn her down. Then again... maybe she was a bit biased. |

Valoel was pleased that Joze was so kind to help her out with tying up the back of the uniform. To be honest Val could have managed by herself, but it was better to get help this first time. She would have been crushed if she had taken the time to put on the uniform and then messed something up. That was why she asked for help, at lease now she knew how the back should be tied and how tight it should feel. She admired the outfit in the mirror for a moment. She looked good, she turned around to get a look at the back.
Anyone else would have noticed Joze's new shade of red, but not Valoel, instead she was too distracted by the new outfit she was wearing. She smiled at Joze and gave a little spun around so that Joze could investigate the uniform on Valoel. It took a moment, Val really had no clue what was going on in Joze's mind, but there was a point where Joze agreed that Valoel fit the outfit and now had to take it off.
Valoel only had a small pang of sadness in her chest, she was just starting to love the uniform and now she had to take it back off. Due to Joze being in change Val could do nothing but follow the other girl's direction. She turned to face the mirror, aiming her back at Joze. "It's very lovely, would you mind helping me out? I'd hate to wrinkle it." She stood still and waiting for Joze's help, not knowing what torture she was putting the other women through.

[bg=454545][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,475,true][cs=2] until my heartbeat completely stops | [bg=454545][atrb=style,width: 140px;][atrb=valign,top] april 14th 2012 saturday cloudy and overcast
joze has love/hate relationship | [bg=454545] "You fit it, so I guess you can get out of it now." Okay, time to be more professional. Although her heart was still pounding like crazy, Joze was sure she could handle this little internal conflict of her's. She'd have to if she was going to work with her. And at this rate she was. "I'll contact you if you get the job, okay?" Well, all she had to do was wait for her to get out of the uniform now and put it back. Though - couldn't Val do that by herself? Joze could just step out now and wait for her to finish - that way she wouldn't have to look at her again. Maybe get her breathing a bit more even, compose herself... Yeah, maybe she could do that. "You know how to - oh."
Joze was about to go, nearly turning her body and then Val stopped her with a tempting offer. She narrowed her eyes - was she trying to make her life miserable? No, all assumptions about Val were erased in the younger girl's mind. She was a temptress. A demon sent to torture her. She was malicious, and evil, and had the guise of a sweet, innocent girl. That was what she was, there was no way she was as stupid as she was pretending to be. Just like there was no way she could have not seen her blush that badly, or the shaking of her hands when she had tied up her strings. That was the end of it, this girl was minx. Joze eyed her somewhat suspiciously, though Val's back was already turned to her so that she couldn't see the searing glare she was throwing her way.
But still, she sought to entertain her. Might as well enjoy herself in the process. "Okay." Deep breaths. "I'll help you." There was no way she was just being innocent now. There was no way Joze could keep herself in check either. She started by untying the string, still a bit unsure of all of... this debacle. Joze was keeping up a slow pace, probably painfully slow to Val. "Sorry, it's sometimes a bit of a hassle to do this." She wasn't even all that sure why she wanted to take so much care with the uniform - Joze herself usually just flung it off and went on her way most days. She was running out of string to untie, and began to slip off the shoulders of the maid outfit, her own hands grazing the older girl's skin in the process. It was as soft and silky as she imagined. She silently sighed to herself. It was great, but at the same time, she was not supposed to be doing this.
She got the sleeves out of Val's arms, and the outfit moved downward... and more downward... as did Joze's body as she moved the uniform. She sneaked as many touches as she could, the skin smooth and the feel almost addictive. Not the time to be thinking non-platonic thoughts. Though, it was a bit difficult, seeing as she was touching her body, and when one was touched they could usually feel it. Oops. Joze tried to pass most of them as accidents, muttering a 'sorry' here and there. Until finally, the uniform was off. "Uh." And Val was in her lingerie. "Y-you can put on clothes now, I'm just gonna put this away now and you can go back to the person you came with." She hurried away - surely her face was even redder now? |

Innocent, that was the key word to describe Valoel. Sometimes it took no time to notice but others seemed to be put off but the fact that the girl was just as air headed as she looked. Valoel never noticed it herself, in fact she was considered smart when it came to books, but when it came to dealing with street smarts the girl was sorely lacking. This was why she had such good friends, friends that looked out and protected her. Then there was her parents who made sure that she had Marielle as her caretaker. The older women was interesting, blunt, strong-willed, Valoel was sure that there was a lot she could learn from Marielle, though even Val was sure that the man hating part was something she would personally never understand.
When it came to noticing Joze's reaction that was another thing that Valoel was missing out on. The blushing she did not notice, or the fact that the younger women seem to be ready to run away. All in all Valoel seemed to be oblivious to the whole situation. Maybe it was because of the uniform, or maybe it was because she felt rather safe around Joze. Either way she had no problem with Joze coming over to help her undress, Valoel really was just thinking forward to the safety of the uniform. No need to get it messy if someone else might still need to try it on. Time moved slowly as Joze untied the string, Valoel didn't seem to mind at first but with each light grazing of her skin she started to feel a bit uncomfortable. She shifted under Joze's touch and did her best to not make it too obvious that she had the feeling of wanting to run away.
Once undress Joze finally took her leave, but not before Valoel offered her thanks. The blonde got dressed quickly and then went to find Marielle who she found sitting alone towards the far wall. She walked over and grabbed a seat across from Marielle. "I hope the wait wasn't bad, did you have anything to eat yet?" She sat her bag underneath her seat and took one of the menu's to look at. The two had agreed to eat her after the interview, but now Val was are a list, should she get a cake slice or a parfait.

The time was spend idly eyeballing the place and how it functioned, regular behaviors, the like. She chatted with the waitress that came to get her order, asking her tidbits about the place before sending her off to get her drink. Generally, just a lot of quiet, subtle detective work to see exactly where she was sending Valoel off to, which at first had began at a hovering state of unsure, to slowly ticking down a bit closer to 'disapproval' as time went by. She was fairly certain Val only picked this place by the sheer intellectual reason of 'cute outfits!', which said a lot about her experience with jobs and...well, real life in general. And the girl wondered why she frowned at so many things she did sometimes. However, despite her assumed disapproval, she had to admit it could be worse job – it could have been fast food. She had to agree with Val on one thing there – she did not know if she could handle seeing the girl come home in one of those monstrosities they called uniforms in fast food.
She thanked the waitress when she came back with her espresso, simmering in the same circle of thoughts for most of the time the blonde girl was in for her interview. She didn't approve, she did, neutral, disapprove, she guessed it could be okay...all in all, she was too caught up in it to even realize the girl that was the subject matter heading her way, so when Val spoke she looked up quickly, expression mildly surprised. However, it leveled out to neutrality a moment later, the safest expression she could manage so Val couldn't read her thoughts reflected in her face. She made no comment about the wait time (because honestly she couldn't tell how long it had been, though her drink was still decently arm, so not too long), but otherwise responded to the other question “No, I haven't. Went well I assume?” she inquired, partly out of polite curiosity, partly in a morbid hope that it hasn't so she could stop waffling about it.
'Maybe you should stop worrying over something that, technically, isn't allowed to be your concern' her mind scolded her. Which was a legitimate enough logic, but Val was so oblivious to the world that she didn't feel right sitting back and letting the world take advantage of her.

Joze took a deep breath. In, and out. In, and out. Well, now that she was a little bit more calm and relaxed, she made her way out towards the tables, away from the interior and... And they were still there. Scary lady and oblivious airhead both. The last thing she wanted, but maybe it was for the best. She really ought to have thanked Val for taking her time to try on the uniform and apply for the job, scary lady present or not. And plus, now that she was collected it should be more than a breeze. Or so, that was how it was supposed to be. She felt a little silly in the uniform, but there was no way she could take it off. She was still working, she still had a bit left of her shift and there was no leaving until she was done with it. It must have looked odd, forcing herself to walk over towards their table, where another person already served. She reverted back to what her training told her to do to her customers. Bow down and give the utmost respect. Of course, it was hardly necessary right now. Joze turned towards Val. "T-thanks for coming here and applying, we really appreciate it." Oh god, now was the perfect time to run for it, so she was already slowly inching away from the scene. _______________ Sorry if it's a little short I'm kind of tired. JESS¿
