Please note this event takes place within and around the hollywood sign. It is around 4:30AM and it is an overcast night. Lachesis will post once you three have posted. I know it is an odd place to be at such an hour but please note the area seems to be high in some kind of supernatural energy that your character can kinda feel. Your character could have been drawn to the sign or it could be due to personal reasons. [/style] |

NOTES |D i'm here this time.
TIMESTAMP 04/10/12 [/classy][classy=realicon]hover [/classy]❝ She closed her eyes gently, tuning her ears to the soft sound of the coffee being poured into her thermos. Taking a deep breath her shoulders drooped slightly, her eyes opening only halfway to watch the steam drift up from the dark, bitter drink. Hot coffee at four in the morning? Yes, please.
After sweetening her morning, or, perhaps, late night drink with flavoring and cream, she screwed on the lid, rubbing sleepily at her eyes with her fist. She glanced drearily to the door, mind wandering. What was she even doing up so early? And oddly enough, she felt the odd sort of lethargy that cursed her after oversleeping. She hadn't gone to bed early, though. She just knew she needed to get outside. She needed some fresh air, a change of scenery, to go for a drive... In her pajamas.
For modesty's sake, she reached to do an extra button on her top, wanting to keep the corner of her sleeping bra from showing. Idly she had to wonder if she was the only girl who had deemed a specific bra for sleeping in, but the thought quickly left her as she brushed her hair away from her eyes and wandered in the direction of the keys.
The air was frigid outside. Her nose turned pink quickly, and she shivered a bit as she tried, and missed a few times, to jam the keys into the car door to get it open. Mumbling softly to herself, she opened the door wide and tossed her thermos into the passenger's seat, rolling in gracelessly and pulling her bare legs up out of the biting cold. Her bare feet ached, but just slightly, and a few good, harsh pats to her face had her blinking herself awake. She trembled a bit, positioning herself in her seat. Short shorts maybe weren't the best choice for this kind of weather, even if it was for a drive.
She sipped at her coffee, bored, glancing around with the wind whipping up her hair as she drove along. It was dreary out. The clouds seemed to hang low in the sky, the moon was barely visible, most of the time it was obscured, leaving the world in a dull haze. Or, perhaps it would if the blinding city lights weren't flooding the streets in a stark white. She twitched her nose and furrowed her brows, sinking into her shoulders some. The fresh, cool air wasn't having its desired effect, her muscles still felt locked, and her gears in the mind seemed to turn slowly. She just wanted to be awake at this point, since going back to sleep would be impossible now that she'd had coffee. She felt as if she were only half there, like she was drifting in and out of consciousness. Perhaps it wasn't the best time for her to be driving.
She'd wandered far enough in her driving some decorative lights caught her attention. "Hollywood." She'd head that way, she supposed. As stupid as it sounded to be attracted by "the pretty lights," she was. She could just sit there and stare at them while zoning out with her coffee. There were worse ways to waste your morning.
As she pulled up and got out however, she held her coffee to her chest with one hand, glancing around, uncertain. Something felt off. Taking a cautious half step back and narrowing her eyes, she moved to prepare to get back inside her car. She didn't like this, whatever it was. Even if it was just a feeling.❞ | | [newclass=box]opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); width: 100px; height: 120px; float: left; position: absolute; margin-left: 25%; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=box:hover]opacity: 0.7; filter:alpha(opacity=70); width: 260px; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=hiddenicon]background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; [/newclass][newclass=realicon]float: right; background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; margin-left: 5px;[/newclass] |

The drive home from school was always an interesting one. Today she'd actually decided to take her car, a small honda SUV she'd gotten for high school graduation. She'd just finished one of her three hour night classes about her graduation thesis - something she still hadn't decided on. She had a few weeks, but right now? All she wanted to do was unwind. That's how she'd found herself on this little drive. Wearing jeans and sneakers with a tshirt, Ana had decided to take the long way home. So many times she didn't stop to smell the roses, or look at the scenery. Los Angeles was asleep around her and for once she just wanted to look around.
She didn't know what drew her there, but she started driving up the side road that led to the Hollywood sign itself. She'd park her car, sip what was left of her coffee, and look at the city still sleeping beneath her. Apparently she wasn't alone with the sentiment, because her headlights flashed across a girl with her own cup next to her car. Ana slowed to a stop and parked, flicking her lights off. Absently she adjusted the purse she had that was a cross body model. It was a bitch for some robber to yank off without taking her with her, but it served it's purposes. Lukas had convinced her to get a purse gun, now that she was wanted, and it sat in the bottom of her purse. Her keys had a hot pink tube of mace, but judging by the girl in her pajamas, Ana was pretty sure it wasn't warrented. Still... something felt off about this place. One quick look, then back in the car and back home. Getting out of her car, Ana shut the door with a soft push behind her and immediately felt her hair go on end.
"Well... rockin' view but creepy atmosphere." Her voice cut through the silence as she looked at the other girl and then looked around to see if there were any other cars parked. "You break down?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]She couldn't sleep. Four in the morning, and the curse of insomnia was keeping her up. Great, just great. There was a project for school that she should be working on, and since she was up... No, there were better things to do than work on school things. Greater things to worry about. Most notably how much stronger she had gotten. This wasn't her doing - she wasn't exactly known to be the most athletic in her school, nor the stronger (in reality, she was very, very far from being strong). And tomorrow (technically, today) she had school. But it wasn't just the fact that she couldn't sleep that was keeping her up (nor her sudden increase in strength). Something was bothering her. Something was off tonight. Something was different and wrong, and Joze just felt so uneasy. Her sister was sleeping well too. Maybe if she just went outside and got some fresh air, she'd be able to clear her thoughts and pinpoint where exactly this uneasiness was coming from.
Her instincts were telling her to do so, anyways. And since they had never gotten her into trouble before, she decided to trust them. Though, Joze will admit they've been going a bit haywire these days. She looked over at her sister to check that she wouldn't wake up should she leave. Her sister was a deep sleeper, so she should be find wandering out.
She felt the uneasiness still, and decided to just follow her instincts, via bike. She wrapped a warm jacket around her, took her bike and started to ride. It was dark, and entirely not safe for someone of her age to be out and about, but what else would she do? There was no way she was sleeping, and the usual safety and comfort she felt at her house had deserted her. And screw school - she'd probably just ditch because she'd be so tired from staying up late. Not that it was her fault, but there was no way she'd be able to focus. As long as nothing important was happening, she didn't need to go.
Twenty minutes of riding in the cold, Joze stopped at a familiar place. She never visited the place personally, but it was iconic to the area. The Hollywood Sign. Who'd have thought she'd be here at this ungodly hour? At first she thought it was deserted, but apparently not. Two other figures were there. Did they feel the uneasiness too, or was it just a coincidence? It couldn't be, this place was too eerie. Much too eerie for her tastes. But she didn't particularly fancy being alone, so she ran up to the two. "So what brings you here this fine night?" The weather wasn't looking all that good either. Maybe it was a sign? No... coincidence. Just coincidence. That was all it was, she kept telling herself. Logic was on her side. Her instincts? Well, not so much.
Maybe she was thinking too much about her instincts. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] [style= height: 34px; margin-bottom: 7px; width: 245px; float: right; border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] Pain.
It was the first humanly sensation Lachesis got to experience. Lachesis grimaced in pain, her initial reaction before quickly putting on her straight face. She could not show weakness, mere mortals could not see her in any weakened form, it was simply not how Lachesis would be viewed. Her vision was too blurry to make anything around her out but she held her gaze forward in assertion of her dominance. It took her a moment to realize how to control her motor skills, her arm twitching first before slowly bringing her hand upward to her mouth, were she wiped away away the inside of her lip with her fist, the blood staining her pale skin. She had bit her lip in the decent to earth, it was always harder than it looked, Clotho made it almost seem easy though. Lachesis mentally scolded herself for thinking with such freedom, the appointer would never compare herself with her sisters. She carrier the most work and therefore was the most accomplished and the most successful with humanity.
Her vision still remained blurry, black dots dancing along her vision. The sky was darker then she expected it to be, she had expected blinding light. Her senses were far more advanced than any mortals, the fact that she had little pain in trying to view the world made her clue in that this dimmed light meant it was what humans called "night time." This section of the earth currently faced away from the sun, therefore not getting as many ultraviolet rays which caused the abrasion of light to be less severe. Hence why Lachesis did not suffer from a very intense sensory overload. Although her vision danced in and out of focus from what she could make out she was very high up.
She could see the skyline of Los Angeles with little effort, the world slowly getting into focus. Her eyes keenly scanned the horizon, she was very heigh up. She could see the city lights that seemed to flicker as if her presence was unknown. Lies. She could hear the commotion on the streets even at this late hour. Lachesis slowly looked downward, she appeared to be standing on a giant white platform, based on some quick calculations she could hypothesize that she was around 45 feet up. She could also make out some form of energy haze on the ground from where she stood. It was a light grey in colour, easily mistakable for mist or fog. Lachesis knew better, fate was at work.
Clotho apparently wasn't doing her job, it was obvious to Lachesis that she should have been sent down first to purge humanity of fate herself. It was unrealistic of Atropos to have sent Clotho first, she was clearly the most fragile and therefore the weakest of the three of them. Fate was destroying their creations, it was manipulating what their fates should have been. Fate was actively unraveling the threads attached to all living things, it was foolish of fate but it was happening none the less. Lachesis would put an end to fate, she would feel the entity wither and die in her own hands.
Lachesis let her wings flutter slightly, the pale grey colour of her wings seemed to be the colour of the beginning of a storm cloud. They were larger than Clothos but more bulky then Atropos'. Lachesis allowed her nude body to embrace the slight breeze, she shut her eyes to truly feel the planet's screams of pain. Humanity was not what it used to be. The temperature was much colder atop the letter Y in the hollywood sign but Lachesis' body was resistant to many challenges mortals had to face. She watched, almost amused by the mortals that were flocking to the dark energy force. It was only a matter of time before fate would strike. Lachesis took a step forward to the ledge of the letter she roosted atop. SHe crouched to get into a better position. She perched herself with her right hand gripping the letter while her left hand slowly moved a stray hair out of her face.
The warriors of the planet would strike down whatever was to come, what else were they to do. Lachesis let her wings sway delicately in the breeze, she would strike down fate herself when the opportunity arrived, it was her heavenly duty while she was on the planet in her mortal body. With that though she scanned the three mortals who had congregated to this place of dark magic. They seemed weak, it was a possibility that they would not met her expectations but it was unquestionable. There was no choice but to meet her standards. Fate would kill them if they did not, but again who was she to judge three mortals. She could care less about three mortals, she needed to start her mission.

TIMESTAMP 04/10/12 [/classy][classy=realicon]hover [/classy]❝ Something wasn't quite registering. Knitting her brows further she lowered her head slightly, slowly becoming a bit more wary, more and more alert of her surroundings despite her previous grogginess. Still, it seemed her mind was just about in as much a haze as the area around here. A thick mist hovered and rolled over the ground, blurring the sign's glow. She glanced down to her feet, standing right in it, hands kept warm by the thermos in their grip as her legs trembled slightly in the cold. The grass under her feet felt wet and cold, fresh with dew, and the dampness of the fog wasn't helping much with her freezing situation. Frowning slightly, just as she was about to tilt her chin upward to stare up at the sign, a voice caught her attention.
She stiffened a bit, but turned her head slowly, cautious. Hopefully she didn't look as startled as she had felt. Her gaze had hardened some, and her grip on her coffee had tightened, however upon seeing the woman she relaxed a little, looking back to the sign, completely distracted. She wasn't kidding about the creepy atmosphere. Lifting the thermos up to her mouth she took a small sip. At the question she shook her head, lowering it again to stare down at her drink. "Just needed some air." Actually, that brought about a good question. What, exactly, was the other woman doing here?
"..." Her brows knit closer over her eyes in suspicion as she turned halfway in her place to watch the stranger. Why was she here? Olivie at least, in her mind, had reason to be. And she felt this heavy weight looming over the area as well? That wasn't right. She was quick to shrug it off for the most part, but she couldn't help but wonder in the back of her mind if this was all some sort of weird dream. Or possibly the beginning of a bad horror flick. "Fog always seems to give things a creepy atmosphere... I don't think the clouds are helping, much."
Another voice, a familiar one this time, and she blinked, more confused than startled this time. She recognized her. "Um... air," came her lame reply to the question. Even to her it was beginning to sound stupid. She was here too?
She frowned lightly, shivering a bit in the cold as she moved further to slink back into her car, one hand on the door and putting one leg inside. "Maybe I'll come back when it's not so dark though," she murmured to herself, watching the sign again.
She didn't want to stay, that was for sure. She didn't like the feeling she was getting here. It was dark and she was alone. With the place being in a tourist trap, it really wasn't safe for her to be here by her lonesome anyway. What if some strange man came and tried to snatch her up? Or take the car? Or grab at her purse again? Convincing herself that was good enough reason to get the hell out of this place, she shifted her weight to get into the car. With one leg still out the door and her hand still resting up above the window, she set her coffee in the cupholder and pressed her foot to the brake.
The angelic being resting atop the sign had escaped her notice thanks to the unusual fog, cool weather, new arrivals, and bright lights of the sign. Confused as she was as to why the others were here, it mattered little. What was more important at the moment was getting out of there. Turning the keys, she kept her eyes to the ignition, subtly listening quietly to the other two. ❞ | | [newclass=box]opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); width: 100px; height: 120px; float: left; position: absolute; margin-left: 25%; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=box:hover]opacity: 0.7; filter:alpha(opacity=70); width: 260px; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=hiddenicon]background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; [/newclass][newclass=realicon]float: right; background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; margin-left: 5px;[/newclass] |

What had she stumbled upon, a secret girl meeting? Ana looked at Olivie and then Joze as she dismounted from a bike. Sheesh, the girl had ridden her bike all the way up the mountain? "Fun place to catch some air." Ana's voice wasn't quite sarcastic, but it had lowered decidedly with the atmosphere. The fog snaked around her ankles and absently Ana kicked at it and watched the mist swirl about her feet.
"L.A. tends to get some creepy fog every so often, it rolls off the bay. I've never seen it this high though." Ana looked around and then up at the sign itself. She saw the dark strands of power lines and the glow before something else caught her attention. There was a flutter on top of the 'Y' symbol and her eyebrows lowered as she set her coffee on the roof of her car. What the hell was that, a giant pigeon? The pigeon lifted an arm - not a wing - and brushed at long strands of hair. Since when did pigeons have hair? And human faces? And... "Holy shit, she's naked. Hey lady!"
Ana pointed up towards the Y for Joze and Olivie to see. "Lady, what're you doing up there?!" Please don't let it be a crazy suicide jumper. Please don't let it be an escaped furry from a furry convention. And please don't let it be a crazy figment of her imagination. The giant signs glowed the closer she got and Ana paused halfway there, squinting against the light. Nope, she still saw it. "Ma'am, you need to come down! It's too dangerous up there!" She looked towards Joze and then at Olivie who had started her car.
"Don't just stand there! We've gotta get her down!" Because naked women with wings shouldn't be crouched on top of the Hollywood Sign at four in the morning on a Tuesday night.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]Ah... that girl was familiar. Not a lot of people had violet eyes in the world. It was a little dark so she couldn't tell completely, but the features looked the same. What a coincidence, right? She wasn't betting on it. Something was telling her that this was no accident. After all, why would someone come here just for 'air', especially at some time like this? She knew why she was here, but... them too? Sure, she did some less than normal feats tonight (riding a bike all the way from her house to the Sign, and up the hill too. But it hadn't been particularly difficult for her, for some reason). But it wasn't like it was without reason. The air was filled with mystery. That wasn't quite the word she was aiming for, but it was close enough.
When Joze was about the speak, the blond one (the one with violet eyes that she had met at the beach that one day) left, due to it being too dark. Honestly. It was four thirty. It was going to be dark. And then more confusion added into the mix when that other woman started shouting crazy things, pointing at something on the sign. "What are you going on ab- Oh my gosh." She was right. There was a naked lady up there - well, naked from what she could see. Joze blinked a couple of times to make sure her eyes weren't fooling her. They weren't. Maybe it was just a hallucination. She was tired, after all. No sleep does that to you, after all. But the woman saw it too, so it was real? No, that wasn't possible, not at all. Naked woman up at that altitude in this weather would be freezing... no one in their right mind would be up there at this time!
"Is it just me, or does she have wings?!" Since Olivie was, for lack of a better term, chickening out, she turned towards the other, grabbing her hand and running up towards the path of Sign. "You said we have to go, so let's go!" Joze honestly thought that pulling a grown woman up the mountain would be harder, but apparently not. Ah, she still had to get used to her new found strength. "We're not going crazy, right?"
Getting closer did prove that the woman on the 'Y' was indeed, naked. Well, they were all woman here, and the anatomy looked about the same. The fact that she was naked wasn't as shocking as the fact that she had wings to add onto it. She had her fair share of unusual things in her life, but not this. Were they real, or something? Goodness, LA was just filled with surprises, wasn't it? |

Although originally it had been nothing more than a few wisps, it didn't take long for the fog to slowly accumulate. The fog churned in unease, fate having awakened the fog from its deep slumber. Although the fog did not have any interest in being awakened, it could feel it's link to the past. It was a shame that the fog would have to only grow stronger as time passed.
The first soul seemed to finally materialize. The fog contained many souls, but it just so happened that the first material body was nothing more than an animated rotting corpse. The pungent smell was foul as the white, decayed skin reached out to pull itself out from the fog. It stumbled into the night, being reborn for the first time since the soul had died eons ago. The undead warrior slowly rose to its full height (around six feet) as it turned to a women in a car. He was once a warrior, and a warrior never backed down. The girl would either join the ranks of the undead army or he would die and another would take his place. Simple as that.
A decomposing arm reached out to the two girls. It did not take a miracle worker to see that the undead warrior had been under ground for a long time. It's skin was mostly gone, eaten away by time leaving mostly bone with ratted pieces of skin that hung from the skeletal frame. It quickly locked onto his target, the little blonde girl would be his. He would devour her soul so she could join the army and fight alongside his brethren. The undead army was rising and mortals were powerless to stop them.
A freshly dead woman seemed to literally appear out of no where behind Ana. The fog was too dense to really see much of anything, the whole army was easily concealed by the fog. The woman appeared to still have most of her skin intact, although a grey tinted colour. There were large gash marks across her chest, the wounds had not fully healed as they were the cause of her death. The lady would rip Ana to shreds, the army was rising for the rebellion, more souls were required to be harvested before the army could be unleashed for the uprising. The women slowly approached Ana, she would enjoy killing her.[/style] |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] [style= height: 34px; margin-bottom: 7px; width: 245px; float: right; border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] Her lips curled back into a scowl, she had identified the fog. She did not like where this situation was headed. She could tell that some of the mortals had spotted her but she was not on some secret mission. It was eminent that her presence would be spotted eventually but she figured that the dense mortals would take longer in clueing into her godly power. Lachesis shifted her thought process to be more practical, who cared if she was spotted, she already knew it didn't matter.
The mortals would either prove themselves and last more than twenty minutes before dying or they would die now. Either way Lachesis was not interfering with their fates or their futures. She had measured each one of their threads, personally chose a fate for each of them. If she had wanted them to survive then they would survive, if she would have to fight them because they joined the undead army then so be it. The army seemed to advance rather quickly, catching the girls by surprise by the looks of it.
Lachesis could see the fog was growing and becoming denser, the undead were among them. She had no real idea what they were up to but it was never normal to see an army trying to recruit new soldiers. Lachesis instantly knew where the dark energy was coming from, her feathers quivered. The army was obviously not natural but it was also very clear that fate had taken this task upon itself. Armies do not simply spring to life, these souls were once at rest before being summoned to do such horrific tasks.
She wasted no more time, she would have to take down the army herself. Her muscles rippled as she sprang from her perch. Her body seemed to embrace the cool breeze as she started to plummet towards the earth. It might have seemed like suicide but as Lachesis fell towards the earth her powers started to kick in. It was about time.
Instinctively, a couple meters away from the ground Lachesis allowed her wings to unfurl in their full wingspan causing her to swoop and eventually even out with the ground. Her wings flapped slow and steady, each grey feather seeming to be glisten from stray rays of moonlight. She flew gracefully above the density of the fog, slightly grazing the tendrils that reached out to grab her pale skin. Lachesis could tell the mortals were close by somewhere but they were not her concern. She should probably have felt more towards the mortals but they were not a priority at the current moment. Lachesis closed her eyes for a moment before her power pulsed through the air. She knew it would make her a target but she guessed that it would help the mortals prolong their short life spans.
The surge of power was almighty, her once nude form now incased in what appeared to be a long white slip, simple but elegant. The dress went down to about her ankles, the material shimmered as she moved. The colour matched the exact shade of white in her hair which made her grey wings look heavenly. Of course Lachesis also bore her trademark frown. Her wings tucked close to her body as she dived into the dense fog.
She could easily pinpoint each soul, she had determined the lives they lived. The very mass of the fog was sickening to Lacheesis. The gore around her would drive the normal mortal insane within seconds but she retained her graceful poise. A soldier from the war of 1812 lunged towards her, although the decayed flew was peeling off of him Lachesis merely gazed at him before he combusted into dust. People said her gaze was deadly but she didn't realize that it could be taken literally. She knew it was because she was channeling some very strong energies but it still mad her giddy at the though that she was killing zombies with her eyes.
Lachesis spun in a slow circle, her wings extending fully partway through a rotation which caused a nearby zombie to crumble into dust upon contact. As long as Lachesis' body remain untouched she would be fine. Another zombie reached out for her but not before a grey ribbon extended from the hem of her dress, empaling the zombie before it crumbled to dust. The undead were weak but their sheer numbers made them lethal. Lachesis absently reached out with her right hand and crushed the skull of a zombie in front of her. It was bound to be a long night.

TIMESTAMP 04/10/12 [/classy][classy=realicon]hover [/classy]❝ Her car started up just fine, thank goodness. For a second her heart was pounding with worry, she was afraid it might stall. She had to stop and sigh at herself, she was really being ridiculous. This was all a coincidence, clearly. Her imagination was simply getting the best of her.
The dark-haired woman's exclamation of "holy shit" didn't earn so much as a glance from Olivie. She simply pulled her arm and leg into the car and pulled the door shut. No, it was the other words that caught her attention. She's naked? Who's naked? A faint pink blush spread across her cheeks, causing her already reddening nose to almost glow in the intensity of its color. Lady? Foot still on the break, she looked to Ana, following the pointing hand to... the roof of her car. She couldn't really see the woman from this angle. Was this some sort of joke? If so, it wasn't very funny. Twisting her lips she rest her hand on the gearshift to set the car into reverse.
But Ana, for some reason seemed serious. She stopped in pulling out to watch her run toward the sign yelling. Was there seriously a woman sitting up on top of the sign? Joze seemed to be yelling something about wings, looking just as astonished as the other woman. And both were looking in the same spot. It must have all been a dream, really. But at the same time, it seemed like such a thought wouldn't occur to her if she truly were dreaming. She sat there, hands on the wheel, uncertain what to do, just watching and waiting for something to happen.
And something certainly seemed to happen. She crinkled her nose at the smell that seemed to creep over the area all too suddenly. It smelled rotten, heavy, it smelled of death. Was the woman on the sign perhaps dead? Her stomach felt sick. She watched nervously as Joze reached for the lady's hand and rushed toward the sign, worried now. "Be careful!" she called out the the pair instinctively. First the eerie feeling, now this smell?
...Something was moving. Something pale and white. Something to the side of her. She turned her head slightly to look at it and froze, absolutely horrified by what she saw. A man, a tall man, with sickly flesh and what looked to be a rotted body was moving. He was moving to stand straight. His pale figure against the darkness of the grass, with the glow of the lights and the haze of the fog, it seemed unreal. But that smell, it couldn't possibly be. Her hands tightened on the wheel as her heart skipped a beat, immediately pumping faster. Like a deer caught in the headlights she sat in place, staring blankly at it, struggling to comprehend just what was going on. She couldn't think, she couldn't speak. She could only sit there and watch.
Good God it was looking at her. As it turned to face her she she watched it for only a second before turning her head quickly to check around her, her paranoia leading her to believe an entire army would be popping up out of this fog soon. She checked her mirrors, her windows. No, this wasn't the only one, there were others.
She couldn't talk still, and her breathing had quickened considerably. Hasty, shallow breaths caused her chest to rise and fall quickly, wild eyes locked on the wheel as she did the only thing she could think to. She slammed her hand hard into the horn, the sound blaring and echoing through the dark, she had to alert the others somehow, and, hopefully, it would give that zombie a splitting headache. Though she knew that was one hell of a slim chance. Just as the noise came screaming out from her car, she caught the faint glistening of silver in her headlights, seeing the angelic being's hair fan around her as she opened her wings to keep herself from hitting the ground.
Nope, nope, nope. "Cái guà i!" Yanking her foot back from the brake she slammed it on the gas and peeled out in reverse, lights flashing over the angel's figure as she seemed to destroy all she touched. It was possible she was helping, but Olivie didn't want to stay to find out. She could easily come for them after disposing of the undead. But damn, the fog made it hard to see. Even with her lights piercing through it, it seemed to reflect some with how thick it was. Her hand reached for the gearshift again as she set it into drive.
Was he human? Was there any remote chance she was just confused? She was apprehensive about running him over now, settling instead for revving her engine and waiting, hoping the would be enough to scare him away. ❞ | | [newclass=box]opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); width: 100px; height: 120px; float: left; position: absolute; margin-left: 25%; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=box:hover]opacity: 0.7; filter:alpha(opacity=70); width: 260px; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=hiddenicon]background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; [/newclass][newclass=realicon]float: right; background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; margin-left: 5px;[/newclass] |

Ana couldn't help but yelp when the pint sized blond grabbed her arm and started pulling her forward. Ana nearly tripped as she caught herself on the hood of her car. "Easy easy! You break it you pay for it!" But the urgency to see the lady, to make sure she was okay was more powerful than face planting.
The fog, however, was a different story. Ana heard something moan behind her and a hand reached out and grabbed her by the shoulder. Ana turned and came face to face with the feminine corpse. She was groaning, her hand digging harder into her shoulder, and for one brief moment all Ana could do was panic. "Holy shit, zombies!" Her voice was a high pitched screech and she threw her hand back and punched it forward. The zombie let out a quick screech as her fist connected with her chest and she turned to ash. Immediate panic shot through Ana and she grabbed Joze and yanked her around as Lachesis jumped down from the sign. "Focus! Zombies! Shit!" Ana saw another figure come towards her in the fog and she zipped up her purse and then swung it like a baseball bat. The zombie's skeletal head went flying and the body collapsed, dust covering her shoes and her pant legs.
Olivie's engine revved and Ana saw the headlights flash over them as her car spun out in reverse and hit something. Or was that the angel? The blaring of the car and the revving engine gave Ana the perfect idea. "Blondie, we're about to play bumper cars. Hurry up, to my car! Hit them, kick them, but don't stop fighting!" Ana started to wade her way through the fog, swinging her purse around her in an arch. She had the straps wrapped around her wrist and one zombie caught onto the purse and yanked. Ana kicked out as hard as she could and took out it's leg, which made the zombie crumple and then slowly dissolve into dust. Thank God these things went down, but there were so many! She could hear their moaning and groaning even as she continued to hack her way. She tried to keep an eye on Joze, but honestly? The fog was so dense it was hard to know where she was going, much less where Joze was. Ana tried to move slow, just in case Joze needed her, or Ana became a meat shield.
The angel above them was dipping this way and that, zombies exploding left and right in ash and dust. Was she that Holy that they couldn't even touch her?? Ana would have felt awe at any other moment, but she was so terrified that all she knew to do was to get the blond girl into her car. Ana continued swinging the rock hard purse. It had things like her calculator, mirrors, a few pens, some candy bars, and a water bottle -- enough weight to cause someone a dent if she hit them in the head at least. "Is there no end to these things?!" There! Her car! She could see the dense outline of it now! And... more zombies. Ana started stomping down the fear and panic that rose in her and started to think analytically. If she could make it through the first zombie, she could make it through more. There was no way she was going to allow herself or this stranger to fall. She wouldn't stand for it! The fear was replaced with determination and Ana let out a loud battle cry as she swung her purse with even more force, pegging a teenage corpse right in the ribs. The ribcage shattered and went flying as it's hands greedily reached for her, clawing at her sleeves before it fell away. Her hands were shaking as she held onto the long straps of her purse. Despite pushing down the fear, it was still there.
There was one large zombie sitting on the hood of her car, a mammoth of a skeletal man with dripping flesh from what she could tell... He rose as they got closer and Ana tightened her grip on her purse. "Blondie, big one at twelve o'clock. Can you tag team with me?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]To be honest, Joze wasn't really concerned with the well-being of that woman. She was more concerned about how it was humanly possible that this woman had wings. How was she standing there naked, no less at such an early time. Maybe, this wasn't a coincidence. Honestly all these people here and stuff. How could she even think otherwise? There was no way that they were here by chance. Why, she couldn't tell, but whatever.
Was it just her or was the fog not as thick as it was before? It was probably just her. Then again, she swore just a second ago she could see the sign clearly, shining in all it's glory in the darkness. But now, she could barely navigate. Then again, it was LA, and who knew about the smog levels in this city? Still, it was too sudden of a change, to be honest. She glanced at the girl whom she was pulling, stopped for a second. It would not be too good of an idea for the two of them to sprint in such bad conditions. Plus, despite the fact that it was easy to pull her towards the sign, it wasn't like she was superhuman and could continue dragging her all the way up the hill (she hated going uphill, because it always tired her faster). Although the woman (what was her name? Joze didn't think she ever caught it), seemed to be following her now. And then her scream drew her attention to be more... immediate interest at hand.
A very scary, very frightening situation, at the very least. Angel be damned, there was no way that she was going up there now, not when there were these rotting corpses blocking her path. No, she'd best be trying to run away, because the sheer number of them drove fear deep into her soul. But before she could stop herself, a panic-driven scream welled up in her chest, attracting yet another wave of zombies to come after her. A skeletal figure was the first one to reach her. He was met with another scream and a particularly powerful kick, where it's skeleton broke into several pieces, then dissolved to dust. Another came, and another, and Joze was feeling tired. They weren't too difficult to defeat, but there was just so damn many that she wasn't sure how much longer she could keep it up before she suffocated from the rotting fumes.
She followed Ana, kicking and punching and trying to clear a path towards the lady's car. It was for the most part succeeded, but for each zombie that disintegrated, two more seemed to file in it's place. They would probably be at this for a while before they reached her car. Ah, why did they have to stray so far? Oh right, it had been her idea to go up in the first place. This just proved that she really shouldn't be acting on impulse all the time. In fact, if she had just a bit more restraint concerning her 'impulse' (and her 'instinct') she wouldn't be in this mess right now! Zombies and undead things that could very well kill her was not something she would prefer doing at the dead of night. In fact, she would prefer not doing it at all. The sound was not pleasant, neither the stench nor the atmosphere. God, didn't she have great taste in locations?
"I'm coming!" Silly as it was, Joze was scared that Ana would leave her to fend for herself. Joze facing zombies alone was not a very good idea and could only end up in one conclusion: death. And she didn't even have a car yet, despite being able to drive (curse her poor family!). And then there was that angel too. Looking a bit closer she didn't seem naked (but Joze could have sworn she saw boobies on her when she was on the sign), and she most definitely had wings, or else how in the world was she flying over them? It seemed like zombies were exploding from thin air, whenever the angel passed them, flesh and dust flowing pretty much everywhere. So was she helping them or something? Well at the moment she couldn't care less, because she spotted Ana's car. Sweet sanctuary! Only a not so pleasant surprise was on the car. Oh good god.
A zombie with dripping flesh. Just what she wanted on the thing that could very well save her from certain death. There was no way she was touching that thing, at all. But there was nothing that could prevent that from happening. Only... her discarded bike, forgotten in the dirt. Ah... that was such a good bike too, but it was light and she should be able to throw and aim at the big hulking, rather menacing zombie on the hood. She would not be responsible for any damages she caused the car. Because honestly this was her favorite bike (not to mention the only transportation she owned), and she was not willing to part with it. Then again, she did not wish to part with her life via zombie attack.
She picked up the ten pound bike. It wasn't really that heavy, not that she thought of it. It might not get rid of the zombie completely, but it was worth a shot. Throwing that thing for all it was worth, it landed on the zombie, which then did dissolve into a big pile of dust. As for her bike, well... there was nothing she could say for that, looking at it's bent frame. "C'mon, let's get in. I would rather not like another zombie to climb on your car."
don't mind the sudden icon change. |

The fog knew it was witnessing the first war - the first rebellion. A zombie cried out in pain as it was knocked aside by a stray purse, moments later the soul was freed with the release of the ashes. Death to the undead was a saviour. It was a losing battle, every soldier prayed for defeat. Every battle was a losing battle. A zombie collapsed against the ground as Joze's foot collided with it's rib cage. The ashes sprung free, the soldiers soul finally moving onward. These warriors would decimate the army if something was not done to contain them, force them to tire out and become sloppy. Fatigue would win them this battle, a battle where the great legend of Lachesis would die before her influence could be felt by the globe.
The world would be oblivious to the angel as well as her death. This losing battle only needed to last long enough for fatigue to win the battle. The fog darkened slightly as it summoned more souls to overtake these warriors. They were only mortal so they posed no threat to the fog. It was Lachesis' death that still needed to be secured. The fog slowly started to intensify, the darkening fog quickly spreading out over the mountainside that contained the hollywood sign. The fog stopped spreading all at once, the battle field had been marked.
The dark fog made a complete circle around Lachesis. Although this circle was about 150 meters in diameter it appeared to be a huge dome, the fog was an impassible boundary. Nothing would be able to pass the edges of the fog boundary, the warriors were trapped with the undead army. Any entity that were to pass the fog barrier would instantly lose their soul in an eruption of ash and dust.
The zombies continued their reckless attack on the warriors. The rebellion could lose a huge faction if the army was defeated but it was highly unlikely that anything of that sort could ever happen. The zombies were slowly starting to become newer and newer as more and more died. The older the soul the longer the body had to decay and decompose. The walking corpses were slowly starting to become more recent, therefore they were starting to grow stronger and more resilient. The zombies tried to attack the windows of the cars to no real avail. The fog would have to fix that.
With a rumble coming from the fog barrier that now incased them in a permanent night a single flash of light released enough power to override weak mortal technology. The glass on the vehicles shattered, raining glass into the once safe havens. Olivie's car died instantly, the headlights blacking out and the engine dying all at once. Ana's car wouldn't even unlock let alone be useable. They were trapped and they were not united. They would all fall. [/style] |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] [style= height: 34px; margin-bottom: 7px; width: 245px; float: right; border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] Ashes seemed to rain down around the angel. Each undead soldier she came across was reduced to nothing more than ash. She elbowed a soldier from the civil war in the jaw before punching a red jacket in the chest. She was fearless as she seemed to gracefully exterminate any soldier that was within her proximity. Based on the ashes she could see further away from her, she could tell her mortals were putting up a respectable fight. There wasn't even that much screaming which was kind of nice.
As she lethally danced through the ashes, she could tell something was changing. The fog was thickening and starting to darken. It was never a good sign when battle conditions changed when the other side starts to realize they are losing. Lachesis battled onward, her wings colliding with what appeared to be a skeleton, and she was rewarded with another pile of ashes. Her bare feet skimmed the ground she battled on. It was when she could feel the fog almost solidify that she clued into what was happening. In a moment Lachesis sprung from her battle to fly into the night air. The breeze was gone; she could only see darkness surrounding her. They were incased in a dome. Her wings flapped with sheer power, the ash cascading from every feather making it appear that it was snowing under her. She looked downward at her mortal warriors. They could still get away if they hurried. It was when the flash of light ruptured the dome that Lachesis understood that she could not have been farther than wrong.
Their machines broke down before her eyes, their only possible route for escape vanished. Their fates were sealed; they would die if she did not intervene. She knew it was wrong, she was the appointer; once a fate was determined it should not be adjusted. She bit her lip as gazed upon the battle. The ashes spring from the corpses of the fallen undead. Their fates had not involved meeting this army of undead soldiers; it was already adjusted because of the entity known as fate. If she adjusted their fates she would only be settling things back to being more fair. She would tweak their destinies, she could already feel their links to the past, and she would just have to jolt them. Just slightly, she would only adjust things to make them fair; she would not force them to throw away their futures. Awakenings were to be taken seriously, once awakened someone would never be able to go back. Their destiny would be in their own hands to mould and shape, no one could help them with that.
Her wings still flapped in a rhythmic fashion as she closed her eyes and focused on the mortals around her. Ana, Olivie, and Joze. The three ladies who would unlock their potentials. She slowly started to pry information from them, stray thoughts that she could pick up. They were good hearted people, she could tell. Lachesis paused when she felt Joze's mental presence. It was not just Joze, there was her past within her as well. She had been identified as a knight, if Lachesis wanted to take this one step further she would need to get close to Joze. Lachesis slowly drew her hands upward, ashes still raining down from her body. Her hands started to glow a pulsating white, the pure light radiating pure power. Her hands slowly reaching heavenly bound. The white light caused a couple of the undead creatures to poof into ashes, the sheer power overwhelming. Lachesis slowly started to glow white all over, like the light emitted from the sun she was celestial in beauty.
The light stopped all at once, the light instead glowed ever so faintly from chest cavity in both Olivie and Ana. They have been awakened; they might just survive this battle after all. Lachesis wasted no time in flying over to Joze's overall location. She could clearly see Ana but she easily ignored her. She felt her feet touch the ground, she gazed a zombie who quickly turned to ashes, her power still rippling around her in torrents of unconfined power. Zombies within a 10 foot radius were being turned to ashes, the power to much for such a weak life form.
Lachesis gaze scanned over the mortal girl. She could easily read her, her proximity increasing the bond between the two. She could feel her history, every moment Lachesis viewed in a blink of an eye. Joze would make a lovely knight. There was no questions asked from Lachesis, she just bowed her head slightly in honour of the soon to be awakened knight. With inhuman speed Lachesis scooped Joze up in her arms and took flight, her wings flapping against the stale air within the fog dome. It was only when they were at the peak of the dome that Lachesis knew how wrong this was. She was ripping the freedom from this girl. She could feel her future slowly starting to dissolve as her power was starting to take effect. With a small whisper Lachesis expressed her only emotion. "Apologies." The words were filled with such sadness; Lachesis had broken her code of silence for the girl. With that Lachesis allowed her grey wings to encase Joze, the feathers slowly starting to turn a glowing white colour.
Each feather displayed some kind of image of her past life. Although she had no clue what she was witnessing, Lachesis knew on some level she would understand. They were the images of a handsome farm boy trying to prove himself to his family. He easily wielded fire as images of him defending some unknown kingdom. The image of a bow made entirely of flame, the honour and determination that the knight displayed was overwhelming even to Lachesis. In a flash of red light the feathers slowly started to display only the reflection of Joze. Lachesis released Joze, causing her to begin the fall to the earth. The fire knight has been awoken. A rune burned red on the girls left forearm. Lachesis knew the fall would not harm Joze, she was a knight now.

TIMESTAMP 04/10/12 [/classy][classy=realicon]hover [/classy]❝ Was this fog... alive? It seemed to crawl back away from them a moment. A cry and her gaze darted to the side to see its source, a corpse shrieking as it was shattered by one of the others. Were they really so fragile? The sound didn't seem to be human, she could assume it would be safe to bowl these guys over.
But, the mist seemed to darken. It grew thicker, swirling about in front of her headlights, and at that she forced her foot hard on the gas. The undead, more and more seemed to come crawling out of the fog, making their way toward her and pounding at her windows. "Tch!" She clenched her jaw, eyes narrow as she spun the wheel to skid in the grass, smacking her car into the fragile bodies. Her eyes kept forward as they fell as a powder back to the ground, unable to take the impact. She was keeping track of Ana and Joze, as well as the strange winged woman. They were the last ones she needed to be hitting.
The sound though of the bodies hitting up against the car, the soft thuds, loud thunks, and the disgusting splatters against the windows, she grimaced. She turned her head slightly, one eye half closed. She just wanted this to be over with. Why wouldn't it end?
Just as the thought had entered into her mind, there was a sound. A rumble and a flash of light. Her windows shattered, causing her to flinch, her arms rising to shield her face. Glancing back to her car she noticed something. Her engine had died. Her eyes went wide as she glanced down at her car in the darkness, her headlights having gone out as well. Her mouth opened wide in shock as she jiggled the keys, twisting them. It wouldn't turn back on. And she was still moving.
She looked up quickly, staring out into the darkness. If she tried to skid to a stop, the zombies would certainly get ahold of her. So, she did the very first thing she could think to do. She pulled her legs up onto the seat, leaned out of the window, and launched herself right out of the car.
Rolling and tumbling gracelessly through the mist she grit her teeth again, gripping at the earth and trying to pull herself up, hoping to use her momentum to get a running start. She could see a glint of light, a glow. The bodies of more dead coming up out of the mist. A sharp bite of her tongue as the ground caught her chin confirmed it wasn't just a dream.
She nearly stumbled as she tried to regain her footing, noticing the dim light in her chest. She felt... she felt different. Something about her wasn't the same. It hit her suddenly and she looked up in search of Lachesis, she needed her. She wasn't quite sure why, but she was certain she did.
"You!" She shouted, peering through the darkness to track the angel's movements. Damn it. She watched as she opened her wings to drop Joze, tense. She'd been distracted too long, and she felt a hand grab at her arm. Glaring behind her, she reached to grab the undead by its wrist and flip them onto the ground and stomping a foot down hard onto its chest. She was changing, she could feel it.
"How is she?!" she shouted to Ana, hoping she was in a better position to check on Joze than she was. Already preparing herself for another attack Olivie waited patiently, she sure as hell wasn't going down without a fight. She wanted to keep Lachesis in her line of sight, but the angel seemed stronger than the three of them combined, and with her ability to fly she should be able to hold out longer. Or so she hoped. ❞ | | [newclass=box]opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); width: 100px; height: 120px; float: left; position: absolute; margin-left: 25%; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=box:hover]opacity: 0.7; filter:alpha(opacity=70); width: 260px; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=hiddenicon]background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; [/newclass][newclass=realicon]float: right; background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; margin-left: 5px;[/newclass] |

Ana eyed the zombie on the hood of her car and then out of nowhere, a black metal contraption flew threw the air and landed on the zombie, and her car. The zombie died back into dust, but the bike bounced on her car. She'd worry about the marks later, right now safety was the main issue! Ana ran towards her car as the fog recoiled and then swept back in. Her car wouldn't unlock. Ana yanked on the door even more but the locks held fast. "What the hell!?" Her keys were in her hands! She tried unlocking it, but nothing happened. The mist around them was only becoming worse. Her windows started to splinter and Ana took a few steps back and then threw her hands up when the windows shattered.
What in the world was going on!?
"Shit!" She shook glass off of her and felt something grab her ankle and looked down to see a zombie pulling itself up and out of the ground, moaning loudly in pain. Ana jerked her knee up and started stomping on the head of the zombie, a panicked yell ripping from her mouth. "Get off get off get off!" The zombie didn't stand much of a chance once she crushed it, but the older corpses were down.
Newer ones would be coming soon enough.
The HollyWood sign gave the fighting ground plenty of light, but a new eerie light began. Ana paused for a moment as the chaos ensued around her and looked towards the angel that was brilliantly glowing. A few of the zombies around her ashed and Ana managed a quick look before she felt something warm start to spread through her body. "What...." The angel landed in front of her and Joze and the zombies in the area merely melted away. Ana stared in awe and almost wanted to bow or something, to show some sort of respect for an angel, but Lachesis had no interest in her -- she was interested in Joze. In a few seconds Lachesis had Joze in her arms and was flying up and into the air. The light left Lachesis, but it didn't stop there. Ana looked around in that brief moment and saw the glow was coming from within... herself?
The panting woman put a hand over her chest where the glow was coming from. Her skin was tingling, her adrenalin pumping even faster. Words whispered across her subconscious, brief flickers of sounds, tastes, and smells that she couldn't pinpoint. And then reality came crashing back to her as Olivie's car spun out and the woman jumped out of her car and rolled onto the grass. "Blondie!" Ana started running for Olivie as Lachesis soared up high into the air with Joze. That was when the zombies started to come back. They were newer, some in clothing Ana recognised now. A zombie approached her just as she was about to reach Olivie and Ana backhanded it with her purse. The zombie didn't ash, much to her surprise, but turned it's head with the blow before turning it's rotting face back towards her. "Oh... shit."
How is she?! She? She who? Ana wrestled with the zombie as it grabbed her by her braid and yanked her closer. The smell of the corpse made her vision blur for a moment as her senses realed before she kicked it as hard as she could in the shins. The femur popped out of socket and the zombie went down to one knee, releasing it's grip on her enough for Ana to beat it again with her purse. She swung her purse like a bat and the head went flying, making the body spasm. Great, now the monsters had evolved from one hit wonders to three strikes and you're outters. Ana turned and looked and saw Joze plummeting to the ground a second before she hit. "What the hell, the angel just dropped her?!" Ana tried to see over the zombies that were starting to buffer around them, but it wasn't much. "I can't see! We need to get to her before they do!" Olivie karate flipped a zombie over one shoulder and stomped it into the ground, creating an opening for Ana to get to her side.
Ana started forward only to have two large arms grab her around the middle and derail her off her path. "Dammit!" Ana knew she'd be saying Hail Mary's for at least a month after this ordeal, but surely fighting the undead would score her points with the church? She wasn't sure, but it was something to think about at least.... but probably not right now. Ana struggled to get free, using elbows and fists as another zombie moved to help his friend to rip her apart. He grabbed Ana by the leg and yanked, causing a yell of pain. Bah Bump. Her heart frantically raced. Ana started struggling even more, digging in her purse. Her hands found a pen and she pulled it out, stabbing the zombie that held her. It let out an inhuman screech as she kicked, trying to get free. Bah bump bah bump bah bum--- A shudder ran up her spine as she kicked the leg zombie off of her. "That's ENOUGH. Stop attacking you forsaken cretins!!!" Her voice screeched the command even as she took that same pencil and started jamming it repeatedly in the corrupted body behind her as it tried to restrain her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]While Ana was struggling with her keys, Joze was trying to very best to shoo away the zombies that were approaching ever so fast towards their little safe haven. Of course, without getting her hands dirty, because that would be a complete bitch to wash. They did eventually turn to ash, but it's not like it was pleasant to feel rotting flesh on her hands. But, when there was life versus filth, she had to do what she had to do. But eventually she could barely see two feet in front of her. She thought the fog had been thick before, but this? This was just ridiculous. And as the zombies approached, Joze found to her disgust that they were more intact than the previously skin and bones of the zombies that were what they were fighting. God they were new, weren't they? She fought a shiver at the prospect. The dead shouldn't rise after they've been killed. It's just unpleasant.
Busy was she about her little zombie problem that she was unprepared for the sudden shattering of glass of Ana's car. Oh great... She swore it wasn't her fault this time. She had nothing to do with the windows shattering. So Ana had better not be thinking of charging her, because she could not afford bills like those. But she had to focus on the zombies coming her way. Her vision somewhat adjusted - she could see farther than two feet, at the very least. Their faces were not pleasant looking, either.
The new and improved zombies never did make it her way, thank goodness. A light illuminated suddenly, opening Joze's vision just a bit more to reveal an angel. The naked woman angel that wasn't so naked anymore. The light seemed to be powerful enough for the closest zombies to burst into ash. Was this angel that powerful? Then why had she left them to their own devices for this long, when she could have saved them from the zombies before? Ah, screw these questions. The important thing was that this angel just bought them a little time before the zombies approached them. To form a new game plan of some sort, because they looked a bunch more powerful than the feeble old ones they had fought before. How many hits did it take this time? Really, Joze should have brought gloves or some sort of protective gear. She had the feeling that she would be washing her hands obsessively when she got home - if she could survive and make her way back home.
Nope, a miscalculation in her scheme (not that it was much of a scheme in the first place) popped up. The light faded, and she could faintly see it emanating from Ana. Ah, she was beyond confused now. Maybe the angel game her some sort of power to help with this? That explained the glowing light coming from her direction, because it definitely wasn't natural. And the angel... as she was moving zombies turned to ash. And might her eyes be deceiving her, but was this angel coming towards Joze? No, maybe there was a zombie behind her that was particularly dangerous. The blonde whipped around, but there was nothing there. Then what...? Before she could comprehend what was happening, the angel bowed before her and then took her in her arms. "Hey wait..." Heights didn't settle well with the short blonde.
Joze tried to calm herself as she went higher and higher, but the no avail. No amount of deep breathes could help her now. Zombies? She could handle them disintegrating into dust. But this? Being carried to what seemed like the top of a world by an angel that she wasn't sure was actually real (though she certainly felt real) wasn't doing wonders to her mind. She barely registered the word the angel spoke. Apologies? Apologies for what? And she sounded so sad, that Joze wanted to comfort her, for some reason. She was filled with questions when her great gray wings wrapped around her, glowing. Images of a handsome boy, using fire as though it were an extension of himself, flashed through her eyes from the wings. She was confused, but at the same time, she understood. A whirlwind of emotions engulfed her as she watched as more and more images appear. Then a flash, and then nothing.
She felt different as she plummeted to earth. Joze would have been kicking and screaming for dear life, but it was not the case. The fall barely hurt her, for some reason. It was the angel's doing, she knew it was. "Thank you." A glowing red rune found it's way to her forearm. She struggled her way towards the other two women, pushing away any zombies in her path. They were easy to deflect, but then they started following her. It was true - they were stronger. A good, hard shove no longer took care of them. They were more durable. Which somewhat dismayed her. "I'm fine, just fight!"
The boy with fire. He had been controlling the fire. There had to be a reason the angel showed this to her. Maybe she could try mimicking his actions, from what she remembered. She looked at the glowing red rune on her forearm. "Please work." To her surprised, it did work. To have such power in her hands was odd, and she tried remembering what that boy did. He sort of did some motions and the fire sort of... followed. But then reality clawed it's grip into her, and she realized how this was completely wrong and that it couldn't be real. Terror seized her and in a panic and freaked out. Or more like, had a complete mental breakdown that caused the fire flying in different directions. It managed to burn a good number of zombies (well, at least those that were around her), but at the same time she managed to burn herself. Great, just great. Just how was she going to explain this to her sister? No, not even that. How was she going to explain to her boss that she couldn't wait tables because she managed to burn herself for playing with fire?!
And then she remembered the zombies and the two woman, the angel and the boy in the visions. It was just all so confusing, it defied the very rules that reality had set for her. There had been no such things as zombies or angels, people couldn't survive a fall as high as she did, and there was no way in hell that people could control fire. Joze needed some time to think. Sit down and try to find a logical solution to this situation. Only she didn't have time to think of a logical solution, or a logical possibility that this was all real. There were other people and a huge wave of zombies to take care of. So she continued to claw her way through the mass of zombies, using just her strength. After burning her arm, she couldn't trust herself with fire enough to try again. The prospect scared her, to be truthful. She was still strong, though. She could still fight zombies without the power of fire. After all, the two other ladies seemed to be doing just fine with that.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] [style= height: 34px; margin-bottom: 7px; width: 245px; float: right; border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] Lachesis watched as one of her grey feathers slowly sailed down towards the mess of undead. The fog was rather dense, although her heightened vision helped she did not know what the fog contained nor how powerful it was. The warriors could not be stopped forever, they were growing stronger and her rag time team of mortals could not last forever. The fog had to be stopped, not just the warriors. The feather continued to swirl down until the fog enveloped the feather. Lachesis could not leave her own warriors to die without assisting them, she had just ripped their futures away from them. Nothing was certain anymore, they could die tonight for all she knew, although it was probable at this point. She allowed her wings to fold in around her, plummeting towards the ground. Joze had already begun playing with her new found power, the flash of red flame making a smile dance across Lachesis' pale face. It was always nice to see them adapt, it was a shame she couldn't control it yet. Lachesis wasn't surprised, they were only mortals.
The wind rushed by the angel, she could see the ground getting closer and closer, she remained unfazed as she continued to drop towards the earth. She was dropping at an alarming rate, although the ash trail she left behind was not encouraging she continued to accelerate. The undead were only approaching faster, their flesh a greyish tint, as she approached she could start to feel their severed fates. Every single soul around her was once a person that she had shaped the fate of. She quickly unfurled her wings about a meter away from the ground. The wing rushed up to greet her feathers as she slowed down. She still ended up crashing against the earth but her wings had slowed her down enough that she felt no pain. The mortals clearly didn't know what they were doing since they were to busy basking in her glory.
The earth bucked around Lachesis, her knees bending to help absorb the impact of landing from such a high altitude. She wasted no time as she grabbed the skull of one warrior and tightened her grasp causing it to scream out in pain before crumbling to ash by her very hands. She slowly regained her composure. Standing tall, her wings slowly retracting to stand near her body. She would not take her frustrations out so publicly. She had a job to do and she would not let this sad excuse of a battle slow her down. Her ferocity could never get in the way of her heavenly duty. Earth was not somewhere she wanted to make a mistake nor was it anywhere she wanted to be for that matter. The faster she fixed her sisters mistakes the faster she could get out of this hell hole.
Lachesis didn't take a moments pause as a zombie charged towards her. Lachesis simply touched it's back as it ran by, her hand print glowing white on the dead mans back before he combusted into ash. She would have to do this humanly, she had to pretend she cared about them. They had lived their lives, made their difference on earth. They needed to move on, even purgatory would be better than this. Lachesis continued to gracefully destroy the zombies, she could feel her power depleting. She knew she should not have altered the mortals' fates but it was her only option at the time. Her imprints were slowly becoming more and more faint. Although still effective she knew the fog would win if she carried on like this.
She looked through the fog towards Joze. Without speaking to her she knew she would understand. She had heard her voice, she would never hear it again. Her words would be known to Joze. "If you don't get a handle on your powers now you will probably be worse off then the zombie attacking you on your left flank" Her thoughts echo'd within the girls head. With the Lachesis sprung back into the air. She hovered a couple feet off of the ground causing gusts of wind to bombard all surrounding zombies, some turned to dust while others simply stumbled backwards. She would weed out the weaklings while she took time to recover. She had to be careful or she would over exert herself like her sister had when she first visited earth. She would be smart about her technique.
It also gave her time to think which was nice. Lachesis cast her gaze over to where Olivie was. Her expression was quizzical to say the least but it did not stop Lachesis from raising a hand which glowed a soft white. Several nearby zombies started to glow a soft white. Their eye sockets glowing ever so slightly. The Zombies quickly started to attack each other. Although their attacks were weak and mindless it still gave Olivie a chance to do something. The pupils were always the slow ones. She sighed slightly letting her hand slowly move towards Ana. Lachesis smiled as she watched the girl exert her power for the first time. The zombies that held her released her from their grasp. The simply held a blank expression on their faces as they looked at her for direction. She had potential, she would make a good noble. Lachesis smiled ever so slightly, she was almost feeling proud of Ana, almost. Lachesis knew she was just a mortal but maybe she could make a difference. Lachesis drove the thought out of her head. She could not awaken anyone else. Her power was going to run out eventually. Hopefully they all managed to escape before then.

TIMESTAMP 04/10/12 [/classy][classy=realicon]hover [/classy]❝ There was a beat of silence. She found herself unable to drive off the concerned frown that saddened her expression. She had clearly heard Ana call out to her, and even through the thick fog and inky darkness she could make out her shape. She was definitely still alive. She just must have been too busy in her own fight to answer. While she was rather absorbed in her battle as well, she wasn't nearly in such a panicked state as she had been beforehand.
Her reactions seemed to come easily to her, she felt focused. She could think clearly. She felt completely in control, despite the difficult situation. She remained quiet at the question shouted to her, figuring it to be rhetorical. It was pretty clear the angel had indeed dropped the girl. She was thankful she wasn't the only one seeing all of this though. Even if no one else believed her, she could at least know she wasn't going insane. Provided Joze and this stranger both remembered this when the sun came up.
As she pulled her leg back up from the undead she had flipped onto the ground it reached to try and catch it; old, rotten nails cutting through her skin to anchor themselves in her flesh. It seemed all that warranted though was a soft snort and another aimed blow of her foot to its rib cage. Her heel collided with the creature with a sickening crack, and a hollow, wheezed squeal of pain was pushed from its throat as it buckled and froze beneath her before disappearing in the mist as a cloud of dust.
The sting in her leg was hardly enough to warrant her attention. With Ana having managed to work her way to her side they just needed to get to Joze now, who, thankfully, had called out to tell them she was alright. The three would hold out a lot longer as a group than they would separately, she was sure. Taking a quick look at her surroundings it was clear there were still a number of zombies to fight off. She coughed lightly just at the smell of them, the smell seemed a hell of a lot stronger than it was when they'd first started appearing. It was to be expected though, she could tell clearly that her senses were enhanced. No doubt thanks to the glowing light given by the angel.
As Ana started forward Olivie's eyes narrowed, her voice lowering as it gained a sharper edge to it. "Stop...!" It was too late though, the undead man came barreling out of the mist to wrap his arms around Ana and hold her still. She couldn't help but mentally curse, how could the girl just run off into the mist and horde of zombies? She darted forward to get at the other creature already pulling at the woman's leg. Despite her calm expression, her eyes were hard, her frown deep-set in her face.
A soft glow from her side hinted that the angel was yet again at work, and though in being focused on the zombies attacking Ana she couldn't see what exactly was happening, she had was certain that any zombie caught in the glow would be destroyed. She grabbed the zombie's arm near the wrist, dropping her heel on its arm to try and shake its grip on Ana. The zombie screeched scrambling to grab hold again as she pulled back and attempted to wrench it away, throwing it toward the group of confused zombies to, with any luck, be pulled apart by them. As long as it was off of Ana though, she could focus on the beast of a man restraining her.
With the undead once focused on mauling on her now occupied with clawing at each other, she grabbed the zombie holding back Ana by the arm and stepped around to kick him in the back of his shin. "Stay-" she grimaced a bit as she heard his arm pop, frowning further and reaching her free hand to grab him by the back of the head and yank at his hair, not wanting him to try and bite at the woman. His hair fell in clumps into her hand before falling as dust to the ground, and the feeling only made her tighten her grip on what stubborn hair remained. "...close," she finished, not wanting either of the other women to stray too far.
"Can you get free?" Her tone softened a bit as she listened for Ana's voice. The hand keeping his head held back moved quickly to catch him by the jaw and rip his head to one side, if she could break his head off that would definitely be more effective in keeping him from biting. ❞ | | [newclass=box]opacity: 0; filter:alpha(opacity=0); width: 100px; height: 120px; float: left; position: absolute; margin-left: 25%; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=box:hover]opacity: 0.7; filter:alpha(opacity=70); width: 260px; transition: 0.7s; -moz-transition: 0.7s; -webkit-transition: 0.7s; -o-transition: 0.7s;[/newclass][newclass=hiddenicon]background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; [/newclass][newclass=realicon]float: right; background: url(http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh443/dbkarma/Tsukumo/24.png); width: 100px; height: 100px; border-radius: 5px; border: 2px #ad687d solid; margin-left: 5px;[/newclass] |
