Please post below with your character fully entering the mammals hall. You may use all/part of your last post of the other thread to do so. There is a wide open space in the room, almost looking warm and inviting if not for the lighting. The hall is mostly dark, although some light does shine from the windows and a few lights illuminate some exhibits, independent from the main power source.

Hanging from the ceiling are many models of well-known animals; dolphins, tigers, elephants, and the like. Below those are other life-size replications of animals in glass cases. In the middle of the main entrance is an introduction, stating how mammals are different from other animals.
The hall is split into six different sections. Upon entering, there is the main introductory hall with many different animals of all sorts. Right behind that is the African exhibit, which is by the far largest of them all. It includes a huge lion in the middle and more glass cases filled with other mammals found in that country. Behind it is the primate section, and to the sides are the Australian, South American, and North American animals. | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 500px; height: 35px;] |

After only a few steps, she was stopped, a warn hand clutching onto hers and pulling her back abruptly, and was met the warmth of another body. Her first thought was 'now isn't exactly the time' before she was met with Lyanne's tense breath against her ear “Don't say anything because – I don't know what they would do to it – but I think I may know what's causing this.” The nurse stilled, eyes narrowing slightly, but she made no motion otherwise, all thoughts that had dared to enter her head besides the potential danger scattering.
“There's something – that was brought here very recently – we need the go check it maybe-” she was cut off as their two companions came too close, and immediately Lyanne pushed Marielle back at a logical distance, though seemed entirely unwilling to let go of her hand. The dark-haired woman said nothing of it and allowed her that comfort – she could tell Lyanne, while not what you'd call lacking confidence, obviously was ill at ease. And Marielle, well, she was busy absorbing this bit of information. Now it really did feel like this was meant to be some Hollywood flop movie – something in the museum causing this? It was...ridiculous, really, but the voice of her younger self, somewhere deep in her mind, was keen to follow this tidbit of information. Apparently, danger or not, some part of her mind wanted to know if there was actually a logical explanation for this, or if...if the world wasn't quite as dull as she'd convinced herself of for so very many years now.

She reminded him somewhat of his house’s dame back at Eton – over-confident and forceful. Whether she was always like this, or was only acting out of stress, he couldn’t tell. Nonetheless, Emil decided to indulge her – follow her orders and look complacent up to the point where doing so would no longer be in his interests. So for now, he swallowed his pride and just rolled his eyes when she turned her back before following the two women into the next hall, holding his distance all the while. He was wary of the other man too, but at least he wasn’t showing off his attitude. Glancing at the blond man, Emil opened his mouth as though about to say something but quickly seemed to change his mind. Entering the hall proper, Emil’s gaze swept the exhibits, searching for anything unusual. However, everything was still, and aside from that purple haze blocking the windows, nothing seemed particularly out of the ordinary. Yet Emil still felt uneasy, and he couldn’t shake off the feeling that there was something foreboding afoot. Which was when he saw the two women whispering. They were whispering, and that was enough to immediately set Emil on edge. Were they orchestrating all of this? Was his prediction of something untoward correct all along? Were they luring the only non-panicked people here to kill them to stop them from being the voice of reason when something happens in the main lobby? Momentarily, Emil lamented not bringing a weapon of some sort with him. One of his first employers in Amsterdam taught him basic self-defense but that probably wouldn’t be enough if things were to suddenly turn sour. And it wasn’t like he would be particularly successful in fending off anyone with a pair of tweezers… Although he was prepared to sling his glass bottle at someone. The dark-haired woman, for example… Emil adjusted his pace so that he could walk beside the blond man. “I don’t like this,” he murmured, partially to himself but mostly for the benefit of the other man. “Something isn’t right here and I don’t trust them.” The possibility that the man was working with the two women crossed Emil’s now increasingly paranoid mind, but he pushed the thought away. It just didn’t seem that likely that he would be the sole target in all of this. For now, all Emil could do was vest a minimal amount of faith in the man and hope that he wasn’t making a dire mistake in the process. Reaching the two women as they pulled away from one another, Emil came to a stop, his gaze falling to their clasped hands and then sweeping right back up again. Cute. Keeping his face intentionally void of emotion, he waited for someone to break the silence, gritting his teeth. Something wasn’t right, and it went deeper than just an ordinary power failure. The strange purple haze and the faint thumping that Emil was struggling to ignore was enough evidence. He generally wasn’t one to jump to conclusions or make accusations with only circumstantial evidence, but those two were probably involved. He had to struggle to keep from scowling at them. Emil’s body became rigid with tension, his eyes narrowing into blue chips of ice. [/style] |

She was currently busy with a duo of guys, making him internally twitch. What the hell was she doing with them? They better not lay a finger on her, or they will sorely regret it, the Russian man snarled mentally before logic decided to step in. He had bigger things at hand to deal with, and if they could turn the power back on, everyone could probably be safe... meaning Yana would be safe and sound. He liked the sound of that.
The blonde male hardly registered that the two women who were looking for some help had gone on ahead of him and the dark-haired man. It was when he looked towards where the women had been that they noticed they were gone. As quickly as he could, he took quick strides over to them in order to catch up with them. It was best that they stayed close together to avoid getting themselves into a bad situation. There is power in numbers, no?
However, the dark-haired man had managed to capture his attention for a moment with his words. He couldn't help but feel the same way, but he could keep quiet on this and simply nodded at the other's words. It wouldn't do them much help if he managed to scare the daylights out of everyone by recounting what had happened to him at the concert.
Upon entering the mammals hall, Viktor couldn't help but feel like something bad was going to happen. But then, from his experience with that concert, it was probably a good idea that he kept his gun at the ready. Anything could probably be lurking in the darkness right now, and being caught off guard was not something he was currently willing to risk. However, he wasn't going to pull out his gun just yet.
"So what exactly are we planning on doing?" hazel-eyed male asked, taking a glance at the mammals on display. The place looked sort of... creepy in the dark. It was mainly the felines on display that slightly unnerved him, but he promptly squashed the feeling. There was no time for him to start being nervous. They had a job to do, whatever it was, and they had to get it done in order to keep people safe. That, and he was pretty sure many people wanted out of the damn place.
"We need to be careful," Viktor drawled out as he kept a safe distance from the women. They were acting a bit odd, but who was he to judge them; he hardly knew them. But he would brush it aside for right now. Hopefully nothing bad would happen... But then again, that's a stupid hope. But it didn't hurt to be hopeful, right? THE TABLET (LOCATION SECOND FLOOR) | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;]
Lub-dub, lub-dub, the sound of a heart beat rang even louder on the second floor, yet still no one could hear it. Or was that a lie? The tablet could feel as both Fate and Destiny hovered near by, but what felt weird was that there was one essence that was getting closer. Could this person hear it? Could they feel the vibrations the tablet gave off as it called to be saved.
If the tablet could feel fear it would have when it noticed just how close Fate and Destiny had gotten. This just would not do, they were not allowed to claim such power as their own. Wanting nothing more then to protect itself the tablet started to hum, but would that do anything useful? Because for as long as the tablet was away from the room its power was only half of what it could really do.

MAMMAL HALL | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;]
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse, as few of the more adventurous people ventured into the hallway. It was honestly a bit eerie was silence engulfed the hallway full of animals - animals of the feline family, to be exact. Murmurs were exchanged the Fate looked happily at the bunch it had chosen. All the others would be taken care of eventually, one by one. The object of this whole debacle would be responsible for that. Fate lingered around for a bit, wanting to watch the eventually chaos erupt around it. This was the calm before the storm. All was still.
And then everything started.
As predicted, slowly but surely, few of the cats on display started to stir, their stuffed insides turning from stuffing to real organs, blood running through their veins once more. In the entrance hall, there were many animals, but it seemed like only a few were being awakened in the first place. The dolphin hanging on the ceiling bore no changing signs. Perhaps the tablet realized that it would be useless in this situation, being a marine mammal?
There was a display of tigers, each and every one of them coming alive with the tablet's influence. A purple haze not unlike the ones that covered the windows engulfed them and disappeared. Although they were trapped inside a glass case, it was built for a display of animals that were taxidermy, not live tigers. Within moments the glass shattered, hitting a poor innocent soul that happened to be in the way. One of the tigers pounced on the body, but after finding it utterly lifeless left it in search of better prey. After being inanimate and dead for so long, it couldn't help but attempt to find food.
Nothing in this room seemed particularly appealing to the tigers. There was nothing. Although the buffalo tempted them some, as well as the deer, they found out soon enough that they were only stuffed, a sort of eye candy. They were definitely not pleased at the very least.
A little tiger cub, the child of the pack, waddled its way to one of the humans. A one Marielle Laroux. It was curious, and they smelled sort of good. Although the small cub was virtually harmless in this situation, it's claws not yet developed and its teeth more stubby than sharp. It walked and walked unsteadily, testing out its new found legs after being seemingly awoken from a deep sleep.
Its mother growled protectively from a distance. If her cub wanted to look at the humans, it could go right away, but if that human so much as looked at her little child in the wrong way they would be paying for it in hell.
But while the duo was busy with their section, the rest of their pack split off to find other prey. It stalked two men, Viktor and Emil, in an attempt to intimidate them.
Another feline had awoken, but it was pounding on the door, having been sealed out of the entrance room of the mammal hall. They did have to get through the door in order to progress, and that animal would finally be able to join in to the fun. But for the time being, all it did was intimidate those near the door, and signify impending doom. | [cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;]
FATE | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;]
This was rather delightful, actually, but Fate had to make sure that its humans would make it out alive. The chaos was alive and humming, and the entity picked out its first victim. Although yes, it needed to protect its three people, one person was to be made to distract Destiny. That wasn't to come yet. However, it looked like, from the scheme of things, they would not be progressing as Fate would like it to.
Did it have to summon up an elemental to order to keep them on task? It seemed like it did. And yet, what was it expecting to do? The day that Fate sat back and watched was the day world peace would overcome the world. and it was unlikely that it would let such a thing happen.
The elemental would do well to take care of the other humans, but it was a special elemental that succeeded more in imitation than real physical damage. Death would be nice, so long as the three human made it out alive. But it assumed that since the last event it had been in, death had permeated the area and it would sate itself on having them faint instead. So long as they didn't interfere with everything it had set out.
| [cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;]
ILLUSION ELEMENTAL | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;]
It had finally awoken. Once again, powerful as it once was, thanks to Fate. It breathed in deep, in and out, as it reveled in being alive once more. It thanked Fate, from the back of her mind, and realized that its presence was still in the room, watching, ever the commanding entity. It smiled to itself, as it tested its power on a nearby group of humans.
They started to scream as fear clouded their minds, from their distorted senses and the way they now perceived things. One of them even fainted - Fate seemed pleased with the progress. While the elemental had no control over the emotions and the feelings of these humans, she could control what they saw... so long as they didn't realize.
So she set her sights at one other target. And once the elemental saw him... well she was long gone. Viktor was in for one hell of a ride now that she had determined that he would be the one that she would be focusing on.

There was a fruitless hope that perhaps it was some of the others back in the main lobby managing to smash through something, followed by the inevitable thought of 'It's never that easy.' Her eyes swept the area, looking for the source of the noise, only to find some very much alive displays roaming into their vicinity. Well. That was new. She knew some museums strove for accuracy but this was ridiculous. Of course, she was aware this wasn't normal, but it didn't stop it from being ridiculous. Looked like Lyanne was right about the safety in numbers card.
“We have to get the people out of this building. Quickly.” she spoke low, hoping the other two heard her, but unwilling to speak louder for fear of drawing attention. She didn't fancy being mauled by a huge predator – it was such an inglorious end, not to mention that her concern was making sure to get through to get the doors opened, and figuring out how to get rid of that ethereal barrier. She wasn't sure how to achieve the latter, but the former had to be fixed by the power coming back on, right? It was a start. Then there was her date's sentiment about something in the building – some artifact – she knew Lyanne didn't want something priceless tampered with but, let's say, by some stretch of faith, she believed that was what was happening – it had to be stopped, somehow, or else everyone here would die.
She felt the other woman press close to her and make a distressed sound, and Marielle looked at her, then down to the floor where her gaze was fixated, to find a small tiger cub batting at her feet. She was smart enough to know not to even make any motion towards it, and the other woman accented this point with a “Where's there's a baby there's a mother...just, don't move very suddenly.” Yes, she was aware of that. In fact as soon as she'd seen what was at her heels, she looked away from it and attempted to back away very carefully, eyes darting to the two men accompanying them, again hissing towards them in the loudest tone she dared. “Whatever you do, don't run, or draw attention to yourself...or do anything stupid.” She couldn't trust them to not make this realization themselves – and for once, it wasn't even an issue of their gender, it was an issue of people tended to panic and think running was the best answer.

The tigers rounded on a taxidermy animal – still lifeless – fangs barred. Somewhere, Emil heard a snarl. And he suddenly felt very cold. Goosebumps rose on his skin, and Emil felt as though his heart had stopped beating. Breath catching in his throat, the remaining colour quickly draining from Emil’s already natural pale face. His lips parted, eyes wide, Emil was at loss. No logical explanation for this could come to mind, and for the first time (maybe ever) he felt a total loss of control. The taxidermy animals which had been dead for years and years were freed from their glass prison, and they were breathing. They could see them. Calm. He had to stay calm, no matter how close those creatures got. Taking a slow and deep – albeit shaky – breath, Emil sent a desperate glance at the two women. Who were they? Were they the responsible for… making these things come move? Come alive? But he didn’t dare speak, or otherwise do anything to attract the animals’ attention. His father once told him to never make direct eye contact with wild animals because that could be interpreted as a challenge… Whether or not that rule applied to dead animals that suddenly decided to come alive, Emil didn’t know, but he wasn’t going to take any risks. So instead, he stood totally still, his eyes fixed on nothing in particular, just avoiding looking at the tigers. Ever flexible, it took Emil maybe ten seconds to come to terms with that god damn fog and their new furry friends. Regaining his composure somewhat, Emil’s mind began whirring in a feeble attempt to find an escape. With the path back blocked by that godforsaken purple fog, they had no choice but go forward, avoiding the mouths of the hungry predators. It probably wasn’t fair to blame the two women for leading them in here, but Emil nonetheless felt some resentment towards them gnawing at his chest. He could feel the burn of eyes, those horrible hungry eyes, glaring at him and the blond man. Fighting a pack of tigers would be utterly useless. Maybe they should just sacrifice someone… Not that that would play out particularly well, either. When the woman spoke a second time – “Whatever you do, don't run, or draw attention to yourself... or do anything stupid” – Emil sent her a brief withering look, one eyebrow slightly raised momentarily. No shit. “Could we try distracting them?” he murmured. [/style] |

The very first thing that captured the Russian male's attention was the shattering of glass; that noise was enough for Viktor to pull out his gun. If it was someone or something trying to attack them, he'd shoot them down before they even got the chance. And one could count on him not missing; he was a sniper for a few organizations while he was undercover after all. However, there was something nagging at him at the back of his head.
Danger! said the little pestering voice.
Initially he had brushed it off as paranoia, but upon hearing the snarling of felines around him and the dark-haired man, it was probably was a good idea to just heed that voice from now on.
Glancing around at the vicious felines, Viktor wanted to laugh out in annoyance and disbelief at this whole situation. They had been stuffed pelts on display for all to see only moments ago, yet here they were, alive and growling at them like they were their next meal. It was like those singing holograms at the concert; they had very much come alive during the attack of that noise monster. Except, unlike that time, these felines weren't diminishing into nothingness. They were ready to pounce.
The cold Ivan-side of him wanted to scoff and roll his eyes at the woman's words; wasn't it obvious that you weren't supposed to make any sudden movements? Despite his line of work and his horrible luck in ending up in these situations, Viktor wanted very much live; especially now that his little sister was so close to him.
Pushing thoughts of his little Nana off to the side, the blonde man looked for a possible opening as he debated putting his gun away. Shooting them probably wouldn't help; you shoot one, all of them would pounce right afterwards. He didn't feel like being personally responsible for someone's death wasn't work-related.
The thought of commanding the tigers to leave them be came to him, but he quickly pushed that idea away. He had no damn clue how to clearly use this new... Ability of his. Sure it had gotten rid of that dreadful monster the last time, but would it be enough? Perhaps a little later, he noted mentally as he took a glance at the dark-haired male.
"What kind of distraction? As far as I know, they are about to attack us and get us," the blonde man replied monotonously, keeping as still as possible. "Unless any of you guys can think of an idea to get out of this?"

Tigers? No, they were lions right? They were... together? There was a state of confusion among the tigers for a moment before they decided, fuck it, they were hungry. The mother of her babe didn't care about anything but her little cub, and the cub was slowly inching its way towards the other woman, the one that was accompanying the one that so rudely ignored it.
The tiger cub was curious, and it latched onto her leg.
Probably not the best idea on its part, but what else could it do? The stubby little teeth attempted to bite her leg but it didn't seem like it was causing too much pain anyways.
The tigers, confused about being tigers rather than being lions, decided to keep acting like lions. Humans... didn't taste the most pleasant, but the most delicious looking animals didn't seem to be giving off much of a scent, or a sign of life. One tiger finally pounced on the human being closest to them, a poor man who had been caught unawares.

This was fun. With all the interfering done for the moment, it could sit back, relax, and enjoy all the chaos erupting just about everywhere. Of course, it was a bit worried with the progress of things, but enjoying this for just a little longer wouldn't hurt anyone, now would it. Well, Fate could say nothing about the humans, but when it came to its own self interests, it was safe to say that things were just fine and dandy for the entity.
However, Destiny would beat Fate if it wasn't careful, so there was always that to look out for. Things wouldn't fare so well for it if that inferior being would be the one to beat it. Fate was not pleased with how much influence it had at the moment. Its power... it had to persist. After all, it just wasn't fair. Where was the seniority in it?
But for the moment, it could not check and only went to enjoy all the destruction in the mammal hall. If they didn't get a move on soon, Fate would have to force it on them. With an elemental loose already, things would not be pleasant if that were to happen. But if Destiny was making more progress, than so help it so would Fate. It would withdraw itself for the moment until it was time to usher them to the next room of this exhibit.

Ah, what a wonderful man to be her main target! The illusion elemental was content, and went out of her way to get rid of the extra... humans. Or maybe she should just ignore them, since they weren't paying the most attention to her. Then again, those tigers were the more pressing matter in this room, seeing as they could actually cause some physical damage when it came to power and destruction.
While she really couldn't do much but drive a person insane, and that was only on special occasions. Whoever said she was a heartless bitch clearly didn't think to find out all of the people she spared from insanity. Clearly, she held some of her previous humanity in her. Killing was boring, driving a person mental was fun. Of course, there were consequences in doing so, and it didn't quite work out how she originally planned most of the times.
Ah, well she was determined to make it different this time. She didn't want to kill the man, oh no. It searched through his mind for some leverage. A woman of his dreams, or something, might be a good form to be in to catch him unawares.

[style=padding-top: 278px; color: #000000; font-family: georgia; font-size: 13px; font-style: italic; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: center; line-height: 5px;]Words: 653 Tags: Event Hoes [/style] She had to curse her ingrained need to help others at this point. While she felt a powerful distaste towards her companions due to their gender, she did not know them, did not know what they had done in their lives, and henceforth had to assume them worthy of living and felt a personal obligation to keep them safe. That being said, she made it her goal, right then, to get them through alive and fix all this nonsense before it could take many more lives. She took a few more steps into the room and away from the tiger cub, motions careful and face turned downward, hoping it reduced her threat level. After a few significant clacks of her heels she came to realize it was too damn loud, and she immediately carefully bent at the waist, lifting each foot in turn to slide the shoes off her feet. It was just as well – in the off chance they did have to run, heels did not assist her in that.
She released her date's hand and used her temporarily as a prop to lean on as she did it, holding shoes held aloft in her left hand she heard a distressed squeak from the other female, and she turned in time to see the baby tiger attached to her leg, which could look adorable and innocent enough, but baby claws or not those were claws, and to hold on it would use them. She saw Lyanne's face twice slightly at the pain caused by it gnawing on her a bit, and Marielle, knowing not to remove it forcefully, attempted to think of a distraction. While there was no attention directed at her she moved a few feet to press against one of the nearby displays, digging in her purse as quickly as she could. Sadly all she could dig up in a timely manner was her pepper spray, which would only make matters worse in this fix, and a few tissues. Oh, joy.
There was a small, frustrated noise as she looked at her flimsy weapons of choice, then let her eyes scan around the room. If there were predators awake, surely there could be a few of the prey 'alive' and moving, right? If they could find some of them perhaps they could send them running about...but she saw nothing in her immediate line of sight. So, they needed a noise, something for the overly sensitive ears of the animals to follow, even if only for a split second. The brunette stared mournfully at the pair of hoes in her hand, the only objects she had heavy enough to throw and make a considerable noise unless she threw her whole damn purse and...no, her taser was in there somewhere, as well, and she planned to find that when she got the chance.
Biting her lip with a pained expression, Marielle swapped one shoe over to her right hand, and heaved the lone heeled shoe over her head and launched it over the display she was crouched behind, and was met with the sound of shattering glass a few seconds later as it hit a display that apparently wasn't well supported. With her distraction louder (and hence better) than she had hoped, she immediately moved back near her date, while motioning behind her to the two men to move while they had the split second, making a split second creative decision to use one of the tissues she'd grabbed to flutter over the head of the mall tiger. Cats and fluttery objects – it was always a good way to distract them. If it worked, and he let go of her date, she would grab Lyanne and book it at the fastest pace she dared – there were enough displays in the middle of the room to duck behind while they moved – it put objects between them and the predators.

Perhaps it was just him, but the tigers looked... Well, confused. It was as if they didn't know what to do next or what was even going on. The thing that got to him though was what the felines could possibly be puzzled about. He and the dark-haired male were basically sitting ducks and yet, they hadn't necessarily attacked them yet. But why? Did it have to do with this confusion?
Groaning in mild frustration, Viktor attempted to make a move to get out of the line of fire, but when a tiger jumped onto an innocent victim nearby, he stood stock still again. Great, this was just perfect. The two of them were never going to get out of this circle. And with the initiation of that attack on the poor bystander that wasn't too far off, they were probably going to start pouncing too. There was no room to run right now.
They were trapped.
And they were probably going to become tiger food sometime soon.
This was not the way I intended on dying, the blond Russian internally complained, a frown marring his face as he eyed the felines. Just then, the loud clattering of glass caught not only his attention, but the cats as well. Sneaking a glance in the noise's direction, he couldn't help but feel a mild sense of relief when he saw one of the women waving them over. Now was their chance.
Not even bothering to ask the other male, Viktor latched onto his arm and basically dragged him out of the circle of felines. Sure, it probably wasn't the nicest thing to just grab the guy out of nowhere, but they needed to get out of the circle before they became tiger food! Well... Not that they were safe yet. But at least they were no longer surrounded by the wild cats.
Taking with the dark-haired man with him, the blonde male followed after the females. It was probably a good idea if they stuck together right now; separating from the group could spell death with hungry predators lurking around.
"Thank you for the distraction," he drawled out, sending a grateful look at the long-haired female before his eyes landed on the baby tiger that was currently latched onto the other woman. It seems that they weren't going to escape the cats anytime soon. "After you lose the tiger cub, it would be a great idea to get out of this hall. The tigers just killed a man, so I am sure that they will be after us next."

MAMMAL HALL | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;]
They heard the shattering of glass first, as something collided into the display. The tigers turned their attention towards that, momentarily breaking their focus on the two men, successfully letting them escape. They were just about to chase after them, until...
What exactly was it that stopped them? The loud roar from the other room seemed to be silenced as well. It was peaceful and serene for just a moment - but that was all the time that the group needed to make their way to the next room. There was nothing left in this room that they needed, and the tigers were constrained in it. Although the mammal hall was large as it was, there was nothing but chaos and destruction in this particular area of the mammal hall.
Of course, the tiger cub just wouldn't let go of the leg, clinging onto it for dear life. One of the other tigers called out for it, and with a noise of discontent it released said leg and went over to its mother. Why did she have to take all the fun away? Although, perhaps it was getting a bit carried away.
The next room was dark, unlit, only some of the displays had lights. It was a tab bit ominous, though nothing seemed to be the matter with the room. Some animals were missing, but nothing was out in plain sight. | [cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;]

It was to say that the elemental was displeased. She didn't like how things were turning out. No, not at all. Those tigers... she had to do something about them before they made away with her prey. That man was hers to torment, not the tigers. In fact, if she just left them to chase after the man and his companion, they'd probably kill him before the fun even started. That would be such a sad way to go, the elemental though. No, she would save him from this. Even if they were animals that had once been stuffed and on display, surely she could still manipulate their senses to her benefit. The tigers were no fun if they didn't do things the slow way. Sure, they were only a piece of meat to them, but what happened to all the stalking the prey and then pouncing? Then again... they had been stuffed. That might've done something to their mentality.
She was about to do something potentially scarring to the mentality to add onto that before their attention diverted from the two men, as well as hers. Shattered glass from a display? Oh... that woman was more resourceful than she gave credit for. In fact, the elemental hadn't even been paying attention and was caught off guard.
But she had to stay on task, she reminded herself. Being the illusion elemental was, to say, not the easiest job on the planet. Although she had fun, there were certain things she needed to do. Like now. The tigers were just about ready to pursue him again. What did humans do, dilly-dally all day? Because that's what it seemed like to the illusion elemental. Still, she got her act together and manipulated each of the tiger's minds. Effecting them until they were too distracted to pursue. After all, this man belonged to her. | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 500px; height: 35px;] |

The idea of leaving her wasn't even an option – Marielle wasn't the type of person, she wouldn't even consider leaving the men behind to that sort of fate...though it would have been more tempting. She pulled her date along at as fast a pace she dared, ignoring the chill of the floor against her now unprotected feet, keeping her back pressed against the display case as she darted through the danger of the first section – though she was now well aware of the fact that nothing was safe anymore, and she kept her wits about her as best she could. Her dark eyes moved back to the men that were meant to be following her, expression hard as she made sure they were close behind.
She was meat with another whisper in her ear as her date pressed close again and gave her more information that she hadn't asked for, but was getting anyway. “Keep following this hall up. Second floor, it's - up there – if we can find something to disable it-” and once again it fell silent. This time, her eyes betrayed her vague annoyance as she looked at the other woman with this. So, say she believed this two-bit movie-styled bullshit, why couldn't they just destroy what was causing it? What was it with people and not taking the simplest solutions? The look on Lyanne's face told her how desperately she didn't want the thing destroyed, and the dark-hired woman growled a little. No point debating this now anyway, they had bigger problems. They'd debate it later – hell for the moment, Marielle was still rather keen on the idea of getting the power on, so she'd have to see when they got to the stairs.
'We should tell the others. Well if we get a chance to breathe. It'd be nice to get a 'that's crazy' from someone else so I can't be pinned the bad guy when we tell her not to go to the second floor.' She wanted to not believe it – because she was twenty-eight and silly things like this didn't exist – but logically, little else was making sense, as well. She wanted to say 'why would we go to the second floor that's crazy there's not an artifact causing this'. She wanted to but the war of logical options was running thin in her mind. She instead focused on her new surroundings for the momentary distraction. What she gleaned from her eyes scanning the dim area was no better than the last. Quieter, yes, but in this case the quiet was...dangerous.

It seems as if he wasn't the only one that felt the same because the two women started moving forward quickly. Getting out of the room was probably for the very best right now considering the fact that the tigers were still around. If they lingered around for too long, that could possibly spell death for them as they would be at the mercy of the reanimated felines.
Dragging the dark-haired male along with him, the Russian blonde followed the two women as closely as possible. He made sure to be quiet with his steps; it would be horrible to capture the tigers' attention now when they were trying to escape. However, when he stepped on a piece of glass, it tinkled throughout the room and caused him to have a moment of panic. Viktor was more than aware that tigers had sensitive ears, so the sound of glass being broken would surely catch their attention. However, when he looked in the direction the tigers were in, they looked as if they were in a daze.
Since when do tigers look so absolutely distracted when they are looking for their prey?
It is perhaps for the best. This is something to take advantage of, Viktor noted, moving forward once again while pulling the dark-haired man along with him.
Once the four of them reached the new room, the only thing there for the moment was absolute silence. This would mark one of the times that Viktor found silence to be absolutely unnerving. For all they knew, something could pop out of nowhere any second now. In fact, right now, he wasn't going to take any chances so he pulled out his gun. If anything tried attacking, he could shoot it straight away. But would bullets really work against something that had once been stuffed or dead for hundreds of years? Probably not. But it is best to always be prepared, the blonde male reminded himself, his hazel green eyes darting around in the darkness.

The room was dark, not much was to be seen. Sometimes the lights flickered on and off on the displays, but nothing ever permanent. It might be the backup generator acting up, or some supernatural presence messing with the lights once more. But the point was. It was dark. It was scary. And it was watching. Waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The landscaping in the room was, for the most part, quite accurate towards the African Savannah. Although the feline found itself perched on a branch as opposed to hiding in the tall grass. Not that it minded much - the only grass to be found in this area was that in the display, and it didn't quite fancy being trapped in a glass case.
Plus, this spot was perfect. Although it's vision was a bit impaired from the lack of light, it could still survey the scene. But it stayed still, waiting for that perfect opportunity to strike. The four people that entered seemed to be tense and prepared. Anything but relaxed, really. But prey was prey - hopefully they could not outrun it. Hopefully they did not have the wits to escape it's claws. But it miscalculated.
It was not the only thing alive in this room. While the cat had found the gazelle that had been on the branch it was currently sitting on to be full of stuffing, it's eyes found other movement - other movement aside from the humans. And even if that, there was that distinct sound, as though something was wading out of water. That was the only sound for a while, the room engulfed in silence once more. It would be damned if that creature got to it's prey first, but still it was not the right time to strike. And yet the crocodile stalked closer and closer to the group of humans, it's stubby and short legs carrying the some five hundred pounds that the animal weighed. | [cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;]

The plan was to change into that human in his mind. That plan was quickly dispelled when she realized that the room she had herded the four into was even more dangerous. Perhaps she should stop interfering, but time was nearly up. She had to do something to capture his attention, aside from just stopping the animals from attacking him. The tigers were officially gone, but with that came those other deadly animals.
And she really didn't feel like fucking with minds right now. She'd leave the others alone so long as she got her prize. Viktor. Conjuring up a rather shadowy image of that woman she saw, the elemental attempted to draw Viktor's attention towards it, sending it fleeing towards a door. She needed to get him out of harm's way, and if this was the way to do it then so be it. But this blonde, who was she to him and why was she so important?

[style=padding-top: 278px; color: #000000; font-family: georgia; font-size: 13px; font-style: italic; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: center; line-height: 5px;]Words: 426 Tags: Event Hoes [/style] A part of her mind betrayed her and bagged for there to be a noise – because even if there was a high likelihood of it being nothing than more trouble, she'd rather know where the problems is coming from than to be left in the dark – literally and figuratively. She didn't have enough optimist in her to try and tell herself 'maybe it was over – it was never that simple. This was only enhanced by the tense expressions of those who followed her – they were smart enough to know better, as well. Small blessings, she guessed – at least she wasn't surrounded by total idiots. Men, yeah, and while she was inclined to believe all of them were idiots, reality had proven her wrong before – she wasn’t about to look a competent gift horse in the mouth, gender notwithstanding.
It stretched longer than she liked, but it was almost a relief when, after about a minute of mind-numbing quiet, there was a quiet sloshing that signaled water being disturbed. She was unsure what it meant, but she didn't let it stop her steady, careful movement across the room, but her eyes immediately went to work, attempting to find the source (while still keeping a careful eye on the archway that led to the next section of displays). She decided she wasn't about to wait around to see what the sound was related to – so carefully, cautiously, she started to weave between more display cases, moving as fast as she dared. It was when she came around a particular one that she was met with a sigh of leathery hide and hungry eyes and almost as quickly as she came around the corner she'd backed around it again.
She ignored the squeak beside her and instantly attempted to find a place to get high ground. Unfortunately, none of the displays were high enough to get away – three feet off the ground was definitely not going to get them away. She wasted no time moving towards the wall of large, glass caged areas opposite the one where she'd eyed the crocodile, assuming the best plan right now was to make a beeline out of the hall before the thing caught her. She picked up her pace just a bit more, giving her date a bit of a yank to pull her along, not even pausing to check the other two – she left it on good faith for them to follow, which was a complaint in and of itself from her.

Viktor practically wanted to fidget around just because of how quiet it was; but he had better self control than that, so he calmed himself down.
With the sound of splashing occurring, the blonde Russian quickly looked around to find where the source of sound was coming from. Of course, in total darkness, there was only so much they could see with their human eyes. If only I had brought some more of equipment, he uttered mentally, taking notice that the two women suddenly vanished. When had that happened? However, a fairly faint squeak disturbed the quiet darkness, giving Viktor a very vague idea of where the women were... Well, if that noise did come from one of the women of course.
Viktor was going to chase (well, walk) after them, but something at the corner of his eye caught his attention. He quickly turned around and caught a flash of blonde running towards a door. For a moment, he thought he was looking at Yana running away. It was because of this that his brain was screaming at him to go after her, but he took pause in this. What would Yana be doing in this particular hall anyways? The last time I saw her, she was a ways back... So what would she be doing here?
The Russian man snapped out of his thoughts for a brief moment then, and pursued after the Yana-like figure until he noticed it led to a door. Could it be a way out? he wondered to himself, staring at the door. If he left now and it was a way out, then he would be leaving the rest of the group behind to dangerous creatures that lurked in the darkness. But perhaps if he told the rest of the group, they could all escape the room together and figure out another way to get to the second floor.
Making his decision right then and there, Viktor returned back to the last place the group had been all together. However, he deviated from the spot when he saw a crocodile chasing after the two women. Instinctively, the blonde man pulled out his gun and shot at the scaly creature twice for good measure. Of course, his aim was probably a little bit off due to him tripping over something in the dark, but at least it would deter the crocodile from biting at the women.

Waiting... waiting. For them to take the first move. To make the catch much, much easier. But they were frozen solid, scared to move, maybe? No... not even that. They were moving, but they weren't coming anywhere knew it. The cheetah was dismayed as this - the crocodile didn't make it any easier, either. Really, it could have done without it. Picked these humans off, one by one, until there were none left. But that stubby, leathery nuisance would make all of that more of a challenge than it already was. It should have stayed in the water where it belonged and let the capable one handle this situation.
Of course, it couldn't be lucky all the time. Perhaps it could serve useful. Although getting a person to walk into them, and then turn around immediately was anything but useful. The Nile Crocodile was deadly and dangerous in some ways, yes, but the speed it took up on land made all of that effort go to vain. It'd be better off if it just stayed in the water and waited for the people to come close. Though, that probably wouldn't have been too easy seeing the glass display it was in.
Speaking of which, how exactly had it gotten out of that? Lucky little shite was able to get out of it's glass case magically, and it was stuck on a tree branch waiting for the humans to come closer? What a stroke of luck, or rather just the opposite in the cheetah's case. It was chasing after the two, and one of the people deviating.
Well, that escalated quickly. Two shots rang out, the crocodile gave a deafening roar, and the cheetah took this time to hop from the branch hanging above the door towards the group of humans, on of a tree on display in one of the glass cases.
Amazingly enough, the stupid animal on the floor was still alive! Oh joy, was it angry now. That man had really done it, hurting the animal. It was charging now, it's stubby legs carrying it in speeds the feline could have never imagined that the imbecile was capable of. Anger really did wonders when it came to athletics. It's tail was flailing around crazily, in process breaking some of the displays with the powerful organ. Its jaws snapped open and shut, desperate for something, anything to chew straight through. | [cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;]

He didn't follow. That was just... just great. The elemental had tried as best as she could, but this man was just difficult. She had to admit, there certainly were many woman in his head. He seemed to attract them in all sizes and forms. Perhaps the woman she chose was not as important as she original thought it would be. Well, that was to be expected, since she was chosen at random. The elemental conjured up yet another illusion, more tangible and solid and right in the path of that alligator.
Maybe he liked big breasts a lot more than the previous girl? Or maybe she had been interpreting it all wrong? Digging deeper in his memories, this girl (was that Rayna, she heard? She couldn't be sure) at the very least needed to give out an appearance of being strong. So the illusion elemental set to fix that with a gun and a knife in her hands, although since she was only an illusion, she couldn't quite reach those in time to avoid the path of the crocodile.

As it dashed at him, the blonde Russian turned right on his heel and took off. However, just as he began to run, he caught sight of someone from the corner of his eye that made him stop right in his tracks. It can't be, he thought in disbelief, staring at the very familiar blonde. What in the living hell would Rayna be doing here of places? How the hell did she even find him? How was it even possible she wasn't screaming at him yet if she had indeed just found him now? She had so much to yell at him for, but she was silent… and in the way of the crocodile.
Not even giving it a second thought, he grabbed onto her and dragged her along with him. However, holding onto her was proving to be difficult; it was almost like she wasn't completely solid enough to touch and although he found it odd, he wasn't going to question it right now. Shooting another two rounds at the crocodile, he slipped between every place he could to reach the other women that had been in his group and in order to avoid being attacked.
In the darkness, he literally grabbed onto the one of the women's hands once he managed to find them, dragging them quite literally along with him and Rayna. He knew it was rude of him to just latch onto someone and then drag them all over the place, but he really had no choice. Besides, he knew that if he just grabbed onto one of the women, the other was surely being dragged along with her. It was time to get to safety.
Dragging the three women through the doorway that Yana apparently went through, leading to the Africa room. But instead of stopping to rest, he kept on trudging through, avoiding anything that could possibly hurt the four of them. The Russian man didn't stop until he reached the Human Origins room, tired and his heart erratic. That had been close, but it felt calmer her in this room.
At least nothing could get them in this room right?

They dare do that? The cheetah found it hard to control itself, it's muscles twitching as that stupid crocodile went up and ruined everything. Though it wasn't sure what it was seeing and what it wasn't seeing, because things appeared and disappeared before its eyes. First that woman that came in this direction (it happened to be right underneath of the feline, but strangely it hadn't heard it approach until it was looking straight at it). But it was disoriented, maybe that was why?
Ah, but the man and the ladies were moving, moving every quicker, and the crocodile was confused for just a second as it charged - had that woman always been there to start? No, no, it couldn't stop itself now, and besides the more destruction the better, in the long run, anyways. Yet that man came in, swooping, messing up everything. Did it really have to take action now? The carefully thought out plan had relied on a less-than-speedy approach on their part, but now that they were progressing through it seemed like effort had to be exerted.
But they were going to fast and... screw it. Just screw it. The feline had somehow maneuvered it's way behind them and was chasing them towards the exit, though suffice to say the door closed right in it's face. How lovely... It ran right into it. | [cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;]
HUman origins room | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;]
Dark. Silent. Nothing to see here really. As one would expect the human origins room was boring as can be. The history of humankind was detailed here. But there was one thing that was interesting - at least, it was interesting for a certain elemental. It was something she could work with to her advantage. The tablet had nothing here - well, if it did it was doing nothing. It was all up to her now.
And that was nice. Bringing those skulls to life... well, that would definitely prove interesting. | [cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;]
ILLUSION ELEMENTAL | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;]
She was pleased with herself for the turn of events. Of course, it wasn't to say that perhaps she could have pulled it off a bit better. This man... the object of her desires was doing just as she wanted him to do. Though... there was that little nagging feeling at the back of her mind. Why did it have to summon up an illusion of her in order to do it? Wasn't she... enough? Of course, he hadn't actually seen her, and he probably wouldn't see her (or welcome the sight of her). But by gods, if she had her way with it, the elemental would have killed her.
Even with his efforts of saving that girl, she was but an illusion, something that could be cast away simple with a snap of her fingers (well, without that the theatrics). He might be going insane. He could be going insane. It wasn't her problem, was it? She just wanted him to like her - as hard as it was. Admiring from a distance didn't really give her many points to get noticed.
The Rayna illusion disappeared - and with it the rattling of bones could be heard, teeth chattering and whispers as the human skulls were brought to life. | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 500px; height: 35px;] |
