tagged: knight. time: May 19th, approx. 4 p.m. speech: colin. notes: \m/ "I told you, you could go ahead and enter whatever relationship you wanted. But I refuse to be the person to facilitate that," Colin shrugged, a smirk returning to his lips. He was kidding, of course. Though you wondered why most people thought that they couldn't stand one another? No, their relationship was completely held together by sarcasm and banter.
"And please. I just started walking faster for your sake, and I decided not to introduce you to anyone who might hurt you in a relationship. Sounds like things a good boyfriend would do, really." She could keep telling herself that he was a terrible boyfriend, yes. But he knew that she knew otherwise. They'd just agreed to get married, after all-- even if it was unofficial, and they were still too young. But at least he had her word, which was more than enough for him.
Before that, food. The scent of freshly baked bread wafted into his nose as they approached the bakery. The blonde pulled out his phone, giving his girlfriend a small smile. "We're here," Colin announced as he showed her the screen. "It's the right one." Not that he really needed to check his cell to tell him that, but it was a force of habit. It didn't hurt to be safe.
"Come on, let's go get you some food. Maybe you'll stop complaining and stop threatening to leave me if I feed you."
Implying, of course, that he was going to pay for her. Which would probably drive her crazy once more, but it would be totally worth it.

Oh please, it was all for her sake? He was so full of shit. She grinned as she replied, "Nope, you still suck. And your opinion of yourself is invalid." Well, it only made sense, right? Of course he was going to paint himself in the best light- his credibility as a boyfriend was coming under fire, after all. To be fair though, his credibility as a boyfriend was almost always under fire. Like, at least 90% of the time.
And then they turned a corner, and the smell of fresh bread filled the air around them. Julie's stomach immediately began growling at the heavenly aroma- she inhaled deeply, sighing at the beauty of it all. Food. But before that- Colin took out his phone and held it up for her to see, sounding oh so smug with himself. It took every fiber of self control for her not to roll her eyes. "Oh, so this is it? This is the right one? Oh thank god, otherwise we might have gone to the other bakery." The joke being that Julie didn't give a shit where they went to eat, as long as it had food and it tasted good.
"Thank you for navigating us, oh enlightened leader." Now she rolled her eyes, though she had a grin on her face and she bumped her hip against his. This had been a fun little adventure, minus the part where she almost got hit by a car. Otherwise, yeah, this had been the bees' knees. She suddenly glared up at him, anger flashing in her eyes. "And if you think you can buy my love and affection with food..."
"Then you're 100% correct."
She beamed at him, then led the way into the shop.
