Her normal body guard had to do business at this establishment. Being carted to her next commercial would come a little later. Julianna had caught wind that someone needed to go down to the coffee shop Daddy helped pay for—discreetly—and she always wanted to see where Daddy’s goons did their business. It was a café after all, and she did like coffee.
The little bell rang over the door as her bodyguard led the way in and Julianna followed afterwards, looking around. She was a little disappointed that it was a pretty normal-looking café. It was full of businessman and teens ditching school to get some coffee. Totally legit-looking. Damn. She’d wanted shady people and ruffians and maybe a bunch of Russian people sitting in the corner giving them the stink eye.
Well. Not that they would give her the stink eye: Daddy’s little girl.
And there was at least one creepy Russian person. Her big body guard, ol’ what’s-his-face.
Julianna walked up to the counter when it was her turn to get her coffee (What’s-His-Face had wondered off to do business) and leaned on the counter, chin resting in both of her hands. She’d never been here before. Why hadn’t she ever come to visit? She smiled and batted her eyelashes at the person behind the counter. “How is business?” she asked in the sweetest Russian accent she could muster.
She didn’t exactly know what business was, just that she wasn’t supposed to talk about it, but she did like to pry occasionally.

| A sigh broke away from her as she listen to the same question for the third time that day "what is in.." or "how does this taste..." Rayna did not mind the quiet life of the coffee shop. Yet there were some days where she wished she could shoot a few of these people. Just when she thought she was about to give up on the women she was helping she finally made a choice. A decaf latte.. really lady? It took you this long to pick a fucking decaf latte. "Right away." By now Rayna could probably make a cup of coffee in her sleep but making a decaf latte she could do while in her sleep and with one hand behind her back. With her back to the waiting line Rayna could hear that the lady had killed everyone's patience. Once that woman was taken care of she helped two other customers before the shop started to calm down, and even though Rayna liked working on the shop, she also liked the slow times.
Once things finally slowed down she switched spots with one of her part time workers and placed the girl at the counter while Rayna pulled out a clipboard and started making a checklist on everything they had and what needed to be ordered. Just then some large Russian came in with some woman following him. As the women went to order her coffee the man came over to Rayna wanting to talk over some business with her. She didn’t know what he watched to talk about, though she guessed maybe he was going to pass over a new job from the boss. She opened the door to the back room and took him back there so they could talk.
The young women at the counter smiled. “Everything is going just fine, is there anything else I can get you?”

That was a genuine enough smile. Maybe this wasn't the place after all. Julianna pouted slightly and tapped the counter with her hand. Well fine. So this wasn't the place. At least it still had coffee. Hopefully good coffee. But it had to be the place. After all, her goon bodyguard had been the one to decide to come here! He'd taken a detour from her very important work! She had an appointment to get her split ends trimmed! She couldn't miss that!
"Just a regular coffee, dear. Black. And. . . no, no that's it. Spasibo," she murmured, turning her back to the counter and leaning against it. She was told her total and she handed over that magical plastic card that paid for everything with just a little swipe. She signed the sheet then stuffed her card back into the dark recesses of her over-sized purse. She was going to just stand there and wait for her coffee, but she was ushered to the "pick up" part of the line and begrudgingly moved over there. At least it was served up in a timely manner.
Now, where had Goon of the Day gone?
She glanced around, knowing well enough he would be quite easy to spot, and he was. He was over in a corner talking to one of the workers, it looked like. Ah! So she'd just spoken to the wrong cashier! The real business was happening over here! It didn't look too important, though. . . . He was just talking with her and handing over an envelope. Puh! She could do that! Well, not that Daddy wanted her involved in this kind of stuff anyway.
Coffee in hand, she strode over to the table and then just stood behind Goon of the Day, leaning forward and listening, a smile on her face. She'd always wanted to see business happen! She wasn't involved with the inner workings of Daddy's "business" but she definitely knew it wasn't stuff he wanted people to find out about. That just made her want to know more though.
"Psst. What's in there?" she asked quietly. Yup. She was totally not suspicious.

| Rayna took the envelope and opened it to check what was inside, ah yes she knew what this was. Not really a job, but information on a past job that she had helped Lukas with. Basically the envelope had some documents that were being used as blackmail on a target of theirs. She would have to pass this information to Lukas later, but since he was not home she would just have to keep it safe herself. When a question was directed at her by an unknown voice she lifter her head and looked at the blond woman. Rayna had no clue who she was but had seen her walk in with the big Russian so she at least know that the girl was connected in some way.
Rayna looked at the bodyguard and raised an eyebrow. ”So whats with the lost kitten?”
She was talking about Julianna, wondering what made the chick think that she had the right to wander over and talk to her. Now Rayna had no clue that she was the boss’s daughter, but even so, she still had no right to get in her business.
”She’s cute and all, but really shouldn’t be bothering us while we talk.” Yes Rayna would admit it, she thought the girl was cute and if it was a different place and time she probably would have hit on her.

Julianna lifted her brow, a little curious as to why he was so jumpy—well no she knew why—but largely ignored him. At least this woman knew beauty when she saw it. Cute wasn’t really what she had been going for, but Julianna loved a good compliment all the same.
“It is okay. Daddy won’t mind if I sit and watch,” she said dismissively, loudly dragging a chair up and sitting down by the table. Oh yeah she knew she was probably being obnoxious, but she didn’t care. “I am just here to watch and drink coffee! Though it looks like it is over already!”
She took a sip of her coffee and leaned back in her chair. “Excuse my manners—I am Julianna. You are?” she asked, at least wise enough not to throw out her last name in this middle of this establishment. Or crime front. She didn’t really know which one it was. Maybe it was both. She didn’t mind throwing her full name around usually, but she knew she had to be more careful when in places of business. Daddy wouldn’t like it if she went around giving stuff away.
Her bodyguard gave her a sidelong glance, then sat back down. “Are we good?” he asked the girl across the table. Julianna took another sip of her coffee and just. . . watched. Smiling.

| Daddy? Well then since the bodyguard did not make much movement to remove the girl and she mentioned something about her father Rayna had to guess that this girl had some, family connection to the business. What was she now a babysitter? Why had this guy thought that bringing his charge to the coffee shop was such a good idea when there was business to be taken care of. Whoever her father was it seemed that he wasn’t giving enough attention to his little girl for her to be here bothering Rayna and getting in her way. Rayna stood from the table she had been sharing with the bodyguard and took the envelope and put it in a temporary safe keeping. She pulled out a key that had it’s hope in a small pocket of her bra, Rayna used the key to open a near by safe, placed the envelope inside and locked it tight. She returned the key back in her bra, like someone try to take it from her, she’d destroy them.
”Rayna.” She was not the type to get to know someone or pretend to be friendly. The women asked for her name so she gave it, not that it changed much between then. All that Rayna knew was the when she found the time she would be asking Lukas about who in the world this Julianna chick was and if she should care about who the pretty princess’ father was. Rayna crossed her arms over her chest and nodded, “Yes we’re done, but step out for a moment so I have have a talk with princess here.” No matter who this chick’s father was, it should be easy enough to order the goon away for a few minutes, if anything within the Mafia she was seen as “important” to anyone that was considered just a member or grunt. If he didn’t step out willingly then Rayna would just make him.

Julianna wasn’t used to people not knowing who she was. Did Daddy not talk about her all the time? Did he not have one of a bajillion pictures of her on his work desk? Or maybe she was just too lowly a stooge for her to know who she was, or at least have her name be familiar. However, Julianna kept her smile on her face and just cocked her head to the side.
So. It was a power game.
She remained seated and just tipped her coffee cup onto its edge, rotating it around. While Rayna was off doing whatever it was she was doing, she stared at the table-top with that sickly-sweet smile on her face. She was used to things working a certain way, and she was going to make sure it happened. She got it from Daddy.
Rayna attempted to shoo away her bodyguard. Julianna’s smile turned venomous and she looked expectantly at her goon. He had already stood up, but he’d been expecting to leave with Julianna, not sent off without her. Already he looked extremely uncomfortable and looked back and forth from Julianna to Rayna. Well, maybe she wasn’t just some lowly stooge after all, since Goon of the Day couldn’t decide if he wanted to follow her or keep to his word to Daddy to keep her in sight.
Julianna made the decision for him. “Go go, I will be fine,” she crooned. He hesitated one second more, then nodded curtly and stepped outside as if to have a smoke—and he did pull out a cigarette—but Julianna could see him watching just outside.
Taking a sip of her coffee, she leaned back in her seat and turned to Rayna. She was confident whatever this was about, she was going to win. She was, fortunately, the boss’ daughter.

| Rayna never really talked to the main boss face to face, in fact she probably met him only once. Back when she was still new to the whole Mafia thing and doing her best to just stay alive. Rayna hardly dealt with any of the family heads to be honest, she got her orders from them, but in the end, they never wanted to see her in person. I probably had something to do with Rayna being a wild child, and dangerous. Although she hasn’t tried to kill any of the leaders yet, it was well known that she was crazy enough to do it. Rayna watched the reaction of this woman’s bodyguard. His actions were very telling and left Rayna know that whoever this girl’s father was he was pretty important. Names started rolling around in her head, whose child could she be? It wasn’t Vasha, the only one he considered his kid was Lukas, so he was out. What about the second in command, what was his name? Albert was the nicer of some of the leaders so maybe he had himself a kid or two, but Rayna would expect his kids to be younger than the woman before her. That only left two people.
Rayna walked past miss pretty princess and closed the door so no one in the shop would hear them talking. ”First, I don’t care whose daughter you are sweetheart, you walk in through that door, you respect me. That means more then anything, you do not get in my way or ask stupid question. You could be Lipinskii's kid or Kravec's, it doesn’t matter to me. They have say, they have power, you are just around by blood and thats it. Until you take a role of a family head you have no say or power over me.” Rayna had a mouth and attitude to go with it. She’d had it for years and most of the leaders knew how to work around it. Even though Rayna was normally just seen as some high ranking lackey, she was more than just that. Libertine members were elite, they only took orders from the family heads and all the members of the Mafia were considered below them. Rayna, Lukas and the other were special, like a prized show dog.
Now that she got that out of the way, Rayna smirked and stepped closer to Julianna. ”Next, Princess, if you are going to walk in her all pretty for attention, only do that if you are willing to grab my attention.” Rayna smiles and touched Julianna’s hair lightly, playing with it as she spoke. What was Rayna’s goal? She didn’t really have one anymore, she just wanted to put this woman in her place and this was the way Rayna did it.

Julianna was going to have ask Daddy about that one. But she smiled broadly and lifted a hand, pointing at nothing in particular. "Yes! I am Julianna Kravec! You do know Daddy!" she said, smart enough to at least keep her voice down, even if the door was now closed. That would definitely make her bodyguard uncomfortable, but whatever. He could sweat for a while. Julianna liked it when they got a little nervous.
She leaned back again and opened her arms wide, welcoming. "I am not here to assert my dominance!" she assured Rayna, keeping that sickly sweet smile on her face at all times. "I do apologize if I got in the way. Daddy doesn't keep me in the loop all the time, you see! I merely wanted to see how the inner workings of his business happened. I insisted to come along, so my bodyguard let me. If he was out place then I shall get after him for it. They spoil me too much, dear."
Not like she didn't love being spoiled.
Julianna took another sip of her coffee and coughed lightly--she'd taken too much and burned her tongue. She touched her fingers to her lips, trying to stay composed, and largely ignored having her hair played with. Julianna wasn't one for personal space anyway. Her bodyguards knew that all too well
"Who said I was not willing to gain your attention? I did not even know who you were until this very moment! Perhaps it is good I got your attention. Tell me, what do you do for Daddy?" she asked, head cocked slightly. "If I am not being too forward."
What was with everyone calling her princess?

All Rayna wanted to say was that if this was a dominance war she would have no problem playing, but it seemed that she had already won. The woman just seemed too curious in her father’s work, which told Rayna that the woman really knew nothing about what her father controlled. Of course she probably had a basic idea, from whatever her guards told her, to what she read in the papers. Still Rayna was not here to play teacher, why should she tell Julianna anything about her father’s work? If she really wanted to know she needed to learn how to get the information from her father, but since she couldn’t, that showed that Julianna was not trusted. The fact that Rayna did not even know that the old man had a daughter should have said something, Rayna knew a fair bit, but when it came to the Boss she really knew nothing. Not that it mattered, she’d just talk to Lukas later about it.
Rayna smirked, the fact that Julianna basically just admitted to being fine with gaining Rayna’s attention. Did the girl really know what that could entail? Probably not, but Rayna was more than happy to play with the new kitten. She was already in Julianna’s personal space and was not about to move away anytime soon. It had been a while since Rayna had anyone to play with so it was just Julianna’s bad luck that she caught Rayna’s attention.
”I do what is needed to be done, I am the best at what I do and if you want to know more you can ask your father directly.” Rayna would not be sharing much information, after all daughter or not, this woman had no power over her. She leaned in close and with a wicked smile asked. ”Oh did you burn your tongue?” Rayna was close now and touched Julianna’s chin ever so lightly to tilt her head up just right. If Julianna did not move now, then she was about to receive a kiss from Rayna, which would be both forceful and exciting.

She could only imagine that “what needs to be done” meant sending someone to sleep with the fishes. Wait did anyone use that term anymore? Whatever she was going to make it popular again. If it was the last thing she did.
“I would and I do but I chose to be an actress! Daddy can’t have me in the lime-light and knowing all there is to know about his business,” she explained errantly, as if the notion was annoying. It kind of was for her. “I’m sure one day he’ll tell me all I need to know since I am his only child. I know he would prefer business continues and I will do what I can I suppose. . . .”
That wasn’t a particularly interesting notion for her. Taking over the mafia business. She hadn’t been raised to run the business. Wasn’t that something you had to be raised to do? Or maybe he secretly had been and she just didn’t know.
Maybe she was a sleeper agent. . . nah.
“I do get curious sometimes, though,” Julianna shrugged, unaware of how that might come off to this woman dripping with the Julianna lust. She lifted her free hand and pushed two fingers against Rayna’s chest, between her two collar bones, and pushed gently but forcefully to make her go away. Julianna might have had a small bubble, but Rayna was now in it. Had her bodyguard been there, he never would have let her that close. She had half a mind to call him back in.
He’d come, that was for sure. But that was a little too petty, even though Julianna was pretty petty.
She smiled courteously. “My tongue is perfectly fine, thank you” she assured her. If there was one thing Julianna knew she liked, it was men. Big burly, muscle-heads. Yes. Muscles.

| Rayna found it funny that the girl thought that she could just push her away. What Julianna didn’t know was that Rayna was not the time that too rejection well, and instead of backing off like she should have she fought instead. First Rayna grabbed Julianna’s hand with her own and held it tight, keeping her from pushing Rayna any farther. Rayna was not about to back down, Julianna had been the one to walk in and start the trouble and even though she said she didn’t want to fight for dominance, Rayna could feel otherwise.
She came in close and took a nip at Julianna’s ear, and whispered into it. ”I may not be able to first that curiosity you have, but I can add more to it.” She knew that Julianna meant that she was curious about the job, but Rayna was tired of business and wanted something else. She used her free hand to grip onto Julianna’s shoulder, applying force so that she could keep the woman in her seat. This time she forced a kiss with Julianna, let her fight back, let her call her guard. Rayna was stronger than Julianna and not scared of her guard.

It didn’t bother her terribly, but it was a little. . . obnoxious. And irritating. A kiss was a kiss—she knew one day she would have a roll where she would have to kiss another woman and probably mean it, so she looked at this as practice and just—well let it happen. This girl seemed adamant about it, so why not let her have her fun. Then just leave.
And probably not come back.
No she liked coffee. She probably would come back anyway.
But she didn’t want to let it go on much longer, so she pushed away when she thought Rayna had had her fun and then stood up. “Well, that was something. But I have a hair appointment to keep! Must keep looking fabulous! You’ll see me again, I’m sure,” she said, getting up to leava.

| Rayna finally backed off this time, she got what she had wanted and that was to show miss princess that once she stepped into this shop, Rayna was in charge. Whether if be for business or for pleasure, Rayna did what she wanted. She stood there with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face.
”Yes you do that sweetheart, stay beautiful and come see me again, we’ll pick up where we left off.”
With that Rayna let the woman leave, after all she still had a shop to run and couldn’t be distracted all day by a pretty thing. It was nice but money needed to be made and Rayna needed to show Lukas the new info they got. There ended another day of excitement for Rayna.
