Living Situation Rayna lives in a small apartment above the Java Cafe found in Downtown L.A. When not working as an assassin for the Russian Mafia, Rayna spends her time serving coffee to the local morning crowd. Due to her work she makes a large amount of money but never truly sees all of it, most of which goes into her housing, temporary phones, advance sniper rifles and three motorcycles. 02. Appearance Just by looks alone Rayna can be mistaken as your everyday average blonde, she's tallish reaching 5'7" without heels, she has a very alluring body, slim, large breast, and shocking green eyes. Her skin is fair, but easily tans and has a good chance of not burning. Yet if Rayna were to stay too long in the sun her fair skin does become something of dry unwelcome skin. The girl does love her looks after all, not that she hasn't been covered in dirt before. Her fashion sense on the other hand could be left up to chance, since most of the time she sports the same red leather jacket. She is not much for dresses even though she would look lovely in them, in fact Rayna is a bit of an outcast of fashion. She would rather wear a t-shit and some jeans then a mini skirt and a name brand halter top. Rayna also has a thing for leather jackets, maybe it is due to her riding habits or maybe she has a thing for the leather kink, whichever the reason she likes leather. She also likes tying her hair back, and keeping her bangs, why? Well to Rayna the style is pretty and practical. Due to her line of work she must always be ready, never knowing when she might have to drop everything. Having a bunch of hair in your fact just doesn't do well for a marksman, she's good but shooting blind is only for the movies. So Rayna seems all beautiful at first glance, but is that all that can be seen? Her eyes hold a hate for the world inside them, while her body is mapped by old scars and some new ones. Under her shirt you can find the slash marks on her back, the dark scars from bullet holes and her least favorite, the scar on her right side. Found right under her rips is a scar that has a story all to itself. Her legs are smooth and have only one or two very light scars here and there. One from when she broke her leg as a child. Her face is safe from losing its beauty, but her hands are dry, lost of life from the many times she has pulled the trigger. 03. Personality Rayna can be described with one world wild, she's reckless when she can get away with it. She has a bad habit of saying no to the wrong people and is feared even by her bosses. Though Rayna does have a strong sense of loyalty, though this is due to it being beaten into her. She isn't the trusting type, so she will keep most things about herself close at hand. Such as her reading habit, the girl loves to read, but not fiction. No Rayna has a thing for facts, history being one of her main topics. Rayna also have a deep love for coffee, Pizza and motorcycles. Rayna is a loaded gun just waiting for her trigger to be pulled. She has mood swings just like any girl, only hers can get a little out of hand. Rayna enjoys killing, it is her job after all, though she follows a set of rules for herself, one she will only kill when she has to. Two no one is spared from an order, and three if you can't kill them, torture them. Rayna likes to take matters into her own hands, she dislikes being told what to do. As a top sniper Rayna does have another self to her, a more steady, calm killer that only shows herself when a gun is in her hand. Rayna takes her title of Russia's unofficial top sniper to heart and takes welding a gun seriously. She has the best shot out of her fellow peers and does well to remind them of this. Once she is given the right to kill her instincts take over and she will remain calm and patient. When it comes to meeting people Rayna is not too bad at making friends, in fact she can be pretty friendly at times. The girl just likes to keep her past out of reach, if anyone was to try and dig up her pass Rayna might do anything to silence them. Her mood swings does mean that Rayna is just as likely to make enemies as well, she can snap at any moment. Normally it takes some sort of trigger to get Rayna mad enough to snap, which might be a good thing for her partner, since he knows most of her triggers. Rayna dislikes a lot of things, but not many of them can make her angry, only annoyed. Her sense of humor is pretty dull, and a bit dark, but it is there. There also aren't many things that can make Rayna happy, but she does have a few fears and triggers. Her fears are things like being unneeded, buried alive, and being made a target by the people she is loyal to. Her triggers, which bring up her bad memories are the cracks of whips, dogs barking, and storms during the night. Otherwise Rayna is nothing more than a big mess of mood swings, a free will and a hard headed female. Yet not a single boss would want to change her. Her skills out weight her faults way more than anyone could've imagined. 04. History Rayna would be lying if she said that she had a good childhood, in fact she would be lying if she ever spoke of said childhood. The reason for this is because she has little memory of it. That does not mean that the story can not be told, Rayna herself just found it easier to give up that part of her. Her past started with the pairing of two normal everyday people. The names are unimportant, the only thing that was really important was that Rayna's father has a brother in the Russian mafia. The go to guy for imports and exports both in the United States and in mother Russia herself. If asked about her parents Rayna would only be able to explain her mothers soft calming voice that she used to sing Rayna to sleep every night. She knows nothing else, not a name, or even a face. She does however remember the name and face of Vladimir Keller, the man who would be the one to raise her. The man, who to this day has kept the secret of in fact being her father's blood brother. Rayna remembers nothing of her parents untimely end, or that it was her uncle who was the reason of the deaths. Though as a child Rayna was plagued with nightmares of blood everywhere, in a dark empty room. These nightmares did not last long, but with the end of her nightmares came the end of her memories and childhood. The story is only known by Vladimir and a few other members of the Mafia at the time. Rayna's father was a good man, he loved his wife and child. He had a honest job and made a good living. His brother Vlad was a cheat and a liar, but was always honest with his brother. So honest that it had cost the family a heavy price. Vladimir had shared too much with his brother, enough to get him and his wife killed. It was only a kill of symbol, the murderer wanted to make a statement, and since he couldn't get Vlad he just went after the brother instead. Rayna had been lucky, only a small child at the time she knew enough to be scared and to hide under the kitchen table. If you asked her now she would tell you that she knows nothing about her parent's deaths. Yet her dreams are a different story, there she will see flashes of blood stained walls. Two bodies (her mother and father) dropping to the floor. The sound of gunshots and the voices of two men who spoke in German. At least she was taken in and given something of a home. It was not the best life, but she was alive. Even at a young age Rayna was not treated as well as some other children of the mafia, but why should she? After all she wasn't special like them, she was nothing, dirt, trash. That was until Vladimir made a deal with the higher ups. The man had something that kept him from letting Rayna die, or in better terms killed. As if he had some kind of promise that he had to keep. Whatever the case may be he took her under his wing. Taught her how to read, write, anything that would be needed. She was never allowed to go to school, instead she was home schooled by tutors that were paid off by Vlad. Rayna spent a lot of time inside, only allow to go outside if Vald needed to travel, which gave her a chance to see the outside world. By the time she was eleven she had showed a skill in reading people, making timed guesses on what a person might do before they acted. She kept up with her schooling, only learning what might be of help, reading, writing, basic math, and a few different languages including but not limited to Russian, English, broken German, and very little French, and Spanish. When she was 13 she was given training in more specialized subjects, such as hacking computers, staying calm under pressure and acting like other people. She started to learn to fight hand to hand combat and gun training, this was when her talents really showed. By the time she was fourteen she had grown wild, her moods would suffer if left unchecked. Rayna had three main events to affect the way she acts to this day. Number one was when she had thought that running away would be a good idea. She had gotten too used to stepping out on her own, she was a young teen and too street smart for her own good. She had been stupid enough to use her training against Vladimir's men when everyone was distracted. There was a gathering to make deals, Rayna had slipped out, right into the woods on the property. The man Vladimir had been dealing with was named Gavriil Shostakovich, an important man, he was cold, rude and had a sick sense of humor. When Shostakovich heard of the runaway child he offered, or more like, forced his help onto Vladimir. With his own men and attack dogs he sent them to track and capture the child. He did this as a test, the man wanted to see how well the child had been trained so far. If she died during the test then that would just be the end of wasted money. Otherwise, if she lived then at least she would be useful to the families. Rayna had the scariest run for her life she would ever remember. Every second just got worse and worse, first it was the rain, then the darkness of the night, to top it off the falling snow made it hard to see. The howls and barks of the dogs were madding, even now a days there are times Rayna can be found siting in a room, blankly staring at a wall, as she remembers the worst of that night. She lost her shoes quickly, the snow was slick and caused her to slip and fall many times. She only lasted six hours on the run, but it felt like a lifetime. By the time it was over Rayna had personally injured three men, and killed one Caucasian Ovtcharka. Which just so happened to be a prized dog of Shostakovich. Rayna herself had even been injured by the dog, which had crushed one of her legs in it's powerful jaws before she had stabbed it to death. Shostakovich had convinced Vladimir to allow him to punish the child. Even with a broken leg that just wasn't enough. She was tied and hanged by her arms, left to be beaten and whipped for three days. When she was returned to Vladimir she was quiet, calmer, and had promised both to Vlad and herself that she would never run again. Her second event was when she was sixteen, the first kill she ever willingly enjoyed. She had started killing for the Mafia earlier but this was the first one she enjoyed herself. Her target was Shostakovich's family. It was meant to be only a sign, Rayna was ordered to only injure Shostakovich's wife. Instead she killed the women and her two children, only moments before Shostakovich had made it home to stop her. Rayna had laughed as she pulled the trigger, this was when it was decided that Rayna was to be retrained. She spent the next four years treated as an animal, re-taught, beaten, locked, and made into a mindless slave. That was until the third event, she was twenty at the time, she was forced to work with another of the mafia's dogs. His name was Ivan Valeev, at the time he was the best sniper known in Russia. An assassin just like her, yet different. He had willingly took to the job, he was a more cheerful man, a few years older than her. He was kind, yet firm, and he had his own way of doing things. He taught Rayna how to once again think for herself, how to make the perfect shot and most importantly, how to love. He gave her the one thing she was missing, a reason to live. They worked well together, yet their seven months together was short lived. Ivan had died while on a mission, but he had left Rayna with a new self, she took her impatient, reckless child self, mixed it with her undying loyalty and added her own free will, to make the women that is seen today. What troubles Rayna to this day is that the man she loved so dearly died so suddenly. To this day she plays that day over and over in her head trying to see if there was something she could have done. Years later it was decided that she was no longer just useful in Russia but anywhere that the Russian mafia had taken as their own. She spent the next four years traveling and spending a great deal of time in the U.S. where she was paired up with a new partner Lukas Madeleine. Now she spends her days making coffee, killing people and doing whatever else may be needed, but this time with her free will in tact. IC Updates... After the whole move from New York to L.A. Rayna found the life of a coffee shop owner to be nice, though she still had to do her job whenever called. Even ones that put her in such danger that 10 rounds from her sniper rifle was not enough to save her from some broken bones. It also lead Rayna to her first encounter with something no human, or at least not anymore. Needless to say, even with Lukas there, Rayna was sent to the hospital and then was trapped taking time off while she healed. What made things worse for rayna was the fact that Lukas wanted to forget the whole thing, leaving Rayna to look into things by herself. Between healing lukas’ uncle thought it was a good idea to give the two partners a job that would hopefully involve no combat, off to a party they went to gather information. Speaking of parties, once again another easy job came up and all Rayna had to do was play back up. It was at a rather large mansion which happened to have a very large bug in it. Rayna did not have to deal with the inner problems herself, but was left wondering how Lukas and Nolan felt about the situation... 05.
