[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=style, width:500px;,bTable]drown my will to fly words 449tags Kittim&Lucas&Naos notes It's ooooooover Things were slowly resolving themselves. It was wonderful to see that the bugs were now moving away from their group, off to find some more sweets no doubt. Alec hadn't really considered their craving for the desserts as a weakness, but now that Lucas had made his attempts to distract them, it was time to leave. And good thing, too, because as soon as Lucas picked up Alec, he felt his entire body go limp. Exhaustion was now replacing the adrenaline, and his blood loss had stained the solid black pants he wore. He was doing better than last time! He hadn't been piercing inches away from his heart and hadn't gone unconscious, but he was still weak from losing so much of his blood. His face went pale and he began to sweat, but that was fine. His jacket had holes everywhere and his pants were torn in so many places.
But it was all over now. He could feel Lucas's strong body hoisting him up into his arms, carrying him softly. Alec mumbled something that was probably too soft for Lucas to hear. "Not my house...going with you...not telling Dad..." He took this time to look back at Kittim and the other boy. He wanted to tell Kittim to come on because they had all come together, but somehow he felt that he would be interrupting something. It might have been Kittim's date, or just someone that he had just met, but Alec didn't want to intrude. Instead, he called out to Kittim before they could make it out of the nearest exit. "Kittim! Thanks..." He squirmed around and gave a thumbs up, showing that he would be alright. Later, he would make it a point to contact Kittim and really thank him.
The urge to fall asleep was creeping ever so closely, but Alec managed to keep his eyes open. The red eyes appearing all around - they didn't phase him. Not tonight. He hadn't the strength to care. They hadn't eaten him alive just yet, so he figured one more night shouldn't hurt. He focused on Lucas, watching his hardened face walk into the night. Though he was acting so tough, Alec knew he had a soft spot for him. It was sweet but probably innocent. The teen realized at that moment that there was something special about this man, and whatever it was it made Alec want him. But the fatigue was settling and he hadn't the energy to think, so he watched Lucas and held onto the man closely. For the first time in a long time, Alec would sleep very well. And it was well deserved.

I'M YOUR LITTLE HARLOT, STARLET queen of coney island, raising hell all over town. sorry about it The floor was a mess of wriggling bugs and smashed desserts, but Kittim’s thought of how disgusting the scene he was watching didn’t occur to him. He was focused on the task at hand, awaiting the perfect moment to strike. Reid understood what Kittim’s brief utterance before had meant and had moved in to position, yet their moment would never come. The bugs simply left. Kittim watched with shock widened eyes as they whisked away the remaining bodies and just left. Every last one of them.
It took the blond had to take a second to process what had happened, but he found he was disappointed once he had. That was it? His big moment, his final stand—it was all just to get a front row seat to the bugs retreat? He sighed, pushing back his disappointment to let the relief push through. Although it was a bit anticlimactic, he was glad to see the nightmare over. The cross dresser spared a glance to Reid then to the retreating pair. “Well, this was not the way I imagined my night would go.”
Kittim looked down at his tattered dress and his bare feet. He could hardly find it in him to find his discarded shoes or bring himself to care about his ruined dress. The blonde could only sigh, releasing the tension from his body. He was alive. Alec was alive. The hulking idiot too. And Reid. He didn’t want to think about those who died, just focus on those who lived on with him. His gaze lingered on Reid, debating whether he should stay in contact. But, before he made his decision, he heard Alec’s voice.
Golden eyes turned towards its source, catching a glimpse of the raised thumbs. “Call me later,” said the blonde though he doubted he was heard. Then he turned to look at Reid. “You owe me new shoes.” A smile blossomed on his lips nonetheless. The shoes weren’t as important as his life. “Do you need a ride home?” He didn’t wait for a response as he picked his way across the banquet door, making to leave behind one more hell. This time, he wasn’t being carried away in an ambulance.

[atrb=cellpadding, 0, true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style,width: 450px; background-color: #121212;]words: 450 tag(s): Stage 2 date: May 2nd There's a gap where we meet, where I end and you begin. They were ready to flip tables and smash a lot of the bugs. Just a few more seconds. Maybe five? Yes. Five, four, three, two… and nope. No. Neither of the two ready to strike had a chance to make their move before the bugs suddenly started leaving the banquet hall. They seemed to no longer be in attack mode. They were just leaving with the bodies they had 'gathered'. For a moment, Naos had stopped paying attention to the other people in the room, his eyes focused on only the weird creatures that were now crawling away. His first initial reaction was a desire to follow after them despite what a hassle dealing with them had been in the first place. Curiosity was his motivator. He had a feeling that they would lead him to the root of the incident, though he had a hunch that was based on what he had seen on the monitor earlier that night. That monster had to have been at least connected. However, going in unprepared or in his uncertain condition was not wise. He knew that, especially after the sudden attack. He could've died and he didn't. He didn't want risk it any more for the day. For a moment he had bitten his lip and let out a noisy sigh that was somewhere between exasperated and disappointed. Rather than be defeated though, he quickly dug his phone out of his jacket to snap a picture of the bugs before they were all gone. He was only brought back to attention when he saw Lucas and Alec making their leave. That was when he was reminded that even if he was letting an enemy get away now, there was something he could still do. Quick snapshot number two, then the phone went back into his pocket. While Naos knew that he should probably be calling someone, he still liked to think he wasn't the only IS member that had been around the mansion. His new priority was the offer of a ride. He was tired, yes, but his eyes still lit up as he returned the smile Kittim had given him. " Fair enough," he replied, finding the idea of having to buy someone shoes not so bad in the context. What most considered a tragedy, Naos considered an opportunity after opportunity. He wanted to know more about this elemental, and this wasn't necessarily a bad way to start an investigation. A few hurried steps were made to catch up to the blond. " A ride would be fantastic." And a phone number or some other sort of contact information, but that would could wait until they were out and on their way home. |
