Personality Basics EXTROVERTED – Komau is guilty of being that social guy. He has grown up with a strong circle of friends, keeping contact with each of them still today. There are times when he is required to "disappear" for a while, but there's always a cover for it. Despite his charm and warm smile, he remains single with no real interest in settling down with a wife. He much prefers having the company of friends and his fellow team as opposed to a romantic partner. PENSIVE – Oftentimes Komau finds himself lost deep in thought, wondering about possible scenarios or upcoming events. Reflections on the past are also very common as his mind never stops working. It was said that he had Attention Defecit Disorder when he was young, but that was merely because he showed an interest in multiple objects at the same time. It took a while, but he finally mastered his ability to multitask rather efficiently. This helps him to come up with strategies and tactics, though he generally leaves that to Arc considering that she trumps him in nearly aspect of planning. AFFECTIONATE – If there's one thing that Komau likes to do, it's hug. He enjoys the close bond a pair of arms wrapped around his waist brings him, and returning that love with a bear hug of his own completes the package. Oddly enough, he has never been involved in a physical relationship with a woman, but instead remained a snuggler until separation. When around his co workers, he tends to give pats on the back and occasionally rubs up against them as this is his way of showing affection. It doesn't always say "I love you" and the majority of the time he's yelled at, but all in all he doesn't mind as he knows they don't quite understand his motives. HESITANT – Before following up on strict orders, Komau has the tendency to hang around and make sure he's doing the right thing. As of now, he has never lost a single person he was assigned to "take care of" because he followed through only by his own judgment. Generally when given an order, he'll poke around the person and watch them for a day or two just to be sure that Giovanni isn't being too directive. After all, death was a serious thing to the African man, and so he believed strongly in only killing if need be. When it came to decision-making, Komau was the exact same way; he would only finalize his decision after careful calculations and logical assertions. LOUD – When stealth is a requirement of the mission, Komau is the last person to investigate. He has a terrible habit of trampling through grass instead of walking, knocking things over when not paying attention, and definitely using his voice a bit too much. Many attempts have been made to teach him how to shut up and move quietly, but all have ended in vain. Since he is such a giant, it's difficult for him to really get around without people noticing him anyway, so he doesn't try very hard to cover himself. VINDICTIVE – Being that he's such a nice guy, if for some reason a person were dumb enough to take advantage of him or cross him in the wrong way, hell would seem like paradise. This also goes for his two comrades - he doesn't stand by while seeing them get hurt. His memory is fantastic, which also means that he'll remember how you treated him for the rest of your life. So don't say you weren't warned! 03. Vital History Notes EARLY CHILDHOOD – Komau was raised by a well-to-do family in South Africa, just south of Botswana. They lived in a surprisingly remote location that was somehow able to keep up with technology. He made lots of friends and was a very curious boy, always asking his parents questions about different things. AGES 08-14 – At the ripe young age of 8, Komau started experiencing vivid dreams of people dying. His parents took him to a doctor only to find that he was diagnosed with an unknown condition that caused him to have these crazy dreams. Within a year's time, he began practicing his own religion, and somehow was able to project those vivid dreams into a false deity and rid himself of the nightmares. The mind was a powerful thing, granted, but after a while he began to actually believe that this deity was real. AGES 16-17 – Komau took up the art of fighting, participating in different after-school brawls. He learned that because of his size, he was able to intimidate many of his opponents, and that gave him the advantage. The teenager learned how to move swiftly to dodge while countering with a solid blow. These skills would later come in handy as he progressed into a territory previously unknown to him. He also began fiddling around with different chemicals in his class, quickly learning how to project a festive miniature explosion that was perfectly safe. This was a fervent interest of his, but would have to wait until later in life to perfect it. AGES 19-22 – Komau graduated in the top 15% of his class, making his parents proud. At this point, he was abruptly ripped from his home life and sent halfway across the world to begin what his parents called his destiny. Thinking that they had gone off the deep end, he attempted to reason with them only to find that they locked him down and shipped him away. He was sent to live with a relative, or so his parents had told him, and he was to learn how to fight. Putting those good skills to use, Komau learned the art of close quarter combat in several different disciplines, making him a force to be reckoned with up close. AGES 24-26 – Finally he was told all about the Impedio Society and how the previous Consuls had been watching him for years. Since they had taken an interest, they had noted he contained particular traits about him that could have been deemed useful. The "relative" explained who his family really was and how everything was taking place. Komau was visited by FATE one night as well while outside practicing a new combat move. An awful beast came after him, bearing multiple heads and other ambiguous details that seemed to shift constantly. Komau managed to thwart it with his brute strength, scaring the hell out of the poor guy. Also during this time, he was assigned to work on the task of bringing about a way to neutralize some of the powers given to people by FATE. After over a year of dedicated work, Komau (while leading other researchers) finally made the breakthrough and created the first liquid to ever successfully nullify any powers that were considered elemental. AGES 27-29 – Komau had encountered FATE many times since, each time learning how to hone in on his fighting skills and managing to overcome any obstacle thrown at him. This is the time where he was promoted to Consul and charged with keeping track of all bloodline descendents as well as handling all artifacts. His studies through the past several years gave him an idea of how these artifacts worked, and he began memorizing each and every detail that he could. While he was still young, he was far more mature than others his age, and that was only one of the many reasons he was chosen to take this position. Contact with his parents was re-established, but only long enough for him to disown them for keeping such a dark secret for him. AGES 30-presentCurrently Komau had moved from Africa to a large city called Los Angeles. He and the other two Consuls, of whom he had only met in person a few times, were there because of FATE's strong presence. Something was going on here and they had to find out what it was so that it could be stopped. Those who got in the way were very unfortunate souls, but FATE would not rise again. 04. Inventory OMNIS NEUTRALIZER – Contained in a compartment on his wristwatch, Komau wears one of the most versatile neutralizers the society has at the moment. It can neutralize any of the elements for a short period of time, rendering awakened individuals or even fate monsters temporarily without powers. This does not, however, effect any of their other cognitive or combat abilities, simply removing any elemental prowess for a short period of time. However, due to its powerful effect, it is saved for emergencies only, being as it has to be recharged after only a couple uses in any given fight. PAPYRUS of the SCRIBES – Inside of an ancient, leather-bound book lies information that Komau keeps close. It's small and able to fit into his pocket and it gives him valuable information on someone who has been identified, claimed, or awakened. When he opens it, the first page will give him information on anyone nearby that has any abilitity or has come into contact with Fate, Destiny, or anyone else of importance. The second page lists any type of elemental properties that the person may have, giving him the upper-hand when confronted with a possible fight. On the third page information about the kingdom that the individual is from appears as well as some basic information about that kingdom. This isn't always 100% accurate, but it greatly assists Komau when collecting information about his opponent. RÁPIDO GARRA – As part of Komau's "promotion" to Consul, the young adult received a rather vicious weapon. These enchanted claw-like weapons were known to cut through metal and concrete like butter, which came in handy during certain missions. Due to the nature of these claws, Komau doesn't flail them around as he walks; typically these claws are covered in reinforced studded leather pouches to prevent himself from bumping into someone and accidentally impaling them. |
