“...Did we just transport into the land where Disney movies are made?”
That was the only question she could think of when the animals appeared and then spoke, and no amount of self restraint could stop the comment. However, she managed to keep all others to herself as Lupus spoke to them, absently noting to herself that if she was expected to start singing with the forest next, Lupus had another thing coming. 'No, he's probably more likely to do it, he's pretty enough to pass as the princess of the movie.' She did make a mental not of his explanation as to why they were doing what they were doing, schooling her features to remain perfectly neutral through the whole thing. 'Well, lets hope these things can't read minds as well, because I'm pretty sure I'd be the one to ruin that lie by accident.' There was no risk of Naos or Mirach – they had no idea what their purpose was here, and for all they knew, what Lupus said was the truth.
The actual truth was far less benevolent than that.
She eyed the three deer as they were assigned to each of them, and made no comment for a minute, but flipped her knife idly, before putting it away again at her belt, not willing to risk a bumpy ride over and accidentally slicing open her ride...especially since relations seemed tenuous at best. Her own mount had eyed her silently when she did it, and she suddenly wished she could read their expressions, so she could make a properly deduced quip at him, but as it was she had no idea what the look was. 'You're losing it Dia, you want to sass a deer. If this isn't some bizarre dream of what I thought was Lupus taking me to do my job, I'll be amazed.'
It was a little surreal...well, very surreal, she was used to the grit and noise of a city and the entities that lurked among the back alleys attacking her, not offering to give her a ride. The serenity of the valley disrupted only by the deep rumble of the steps of the corrupt walking mountain coupled with talking deer who were there to help...she was definitely out of her element, and was a bit at a loss, which left her far more quiet than normal. Luckily, if asked she had the easy excuse of 'staying focused', but that was a big fat lie. She was just...completely astounded, honestly. Perhaps that wasn't quite the word, but it was close.
'Lupus you're killing my preconceptions here. Way to make me feel more morally ambiguous.' ...Not that it would stop her from doing her job with a fervor that would terrify others, but it did give her something to think about.
'Later.' she added to herself. She double-checked her gear, made sure her earpiece was working, before moving towards her mount...Filyon? Yeah that was right. They stared each other down briefly – they hadn't even spoke to one another yet, while she faintly heard the buzz in the background of her cousins speaking to theirs...though admittedly, she was wary of speaking to hers...mostly because it felt like she was being insane, talking to an animal. 'You don't blink at a tree that almost took off your arm with a root and ripped up a whole parking lot, but a talking deer intimidates you.' she thought sardonically, and luckily in that moment, she was spared from speaking first and falling into her own definition of 'nuts'.
“I believe the others are ready to leave, or are close to. I suggest you do the same.” Its tone was flat, droning, and grated on her, reminding her of the family reps who would call her and politely, tonelessly, tell her 'do this, your family obligates you to it.' As such, she reacted in a similar way. “Since you're new, I'll let that go. No one's ready before I am, considering I always am.” she responded, her tone equally as dry as his, with enough of a chill to give a hint towards her defensiveness. To make her point, she reached over and swung herself up to settle on his back in one swift movement, and she could tell by how quickly he shifted under her for a moment that he hadn't expected it. She smirked, and turned to her cousins, pulling herself out of her own little world of disbelief finally.
'Well, if it is a dream, butter to just roll with it so we can get it over with.'
“Come on slackers, we got shit to do.” she called out, and was surprised when her mount immediately set off at a smooth trot away from the group and towards the goddamn walking mountain. She decided to give a point in his favor at that moment for helping her dramatic effect, at least. She set her eyes on the slowly lumbering figure in the distance, before adding in a low tone “Pick up the pace a bit, lots of ground to cover.” 'And I just want this to be done with.'

Everyone seemed to be getting along well with their paired deer, well everyone except Lupus. Although he respected the species greatly, he was not feeling so safe with the glares he was receiving from Isuth. She seemed upset with him, and in Lupus defence he felt that he had not done any wrong to them, at least not yet. In the back of his mind he couldn’t help but hope that Arc would get this over quickly without causing too much trouble for the moving mountain.
Then again this was Arc, she had a habit of making things harder for Lupus then things had to be. He tapped the ear piece that Arc had give him earlier, he had never used one until today, and he could remember Arc’s earlier remarks. Something about if he worked with her, that he needed to be a quick learner. Luckily Lupus was a quicker learner and knew the concept behind the device. He side eyed the deer that appointed herself to stand guard, she was nothing like her father and Lupus hoped that she was not in charge of her herd just yet. ”We should follow the boy, better to get a higher few of the others.”
Isuth moved to stand beside Lupus, she stayed quiet as she just glared at him, was she trying to scare him off? After a moment she huffed some air at him and then spoke. “Yes very well, you will ride with me, but do I you ruin any of the fur on my hide or pull on my antlers I will toss you off the mountain.” Lupus only nodded, feeling that anything he said would be taken wrong by the uptight deer.
“Naos.” He caught the attention of the youngest of the group. ”We will be following you, it is probably a good idea if we get a higher look as well.” Really Lupus only wanted to follow the boy so that he would have someone nearby to speak with if he needed to ignore Isuth’s attention, Naos was his best excuse.
----
Meanwhile, Humus Movendis moved on with it’s slow path, not paying any mind to the creatures that were near. It did not fear them, so tiny so weak.
Status: You are like ants, Humus Movendis has no care to what the group is up to, and will not till they are about half way up it’s body.

Erran was the first to huff his relief as Arcturus ordered them into action. From the way the deer tossed his head and snorted loudly, he was tired of waiting. Even Mirach had since finished her introductions, the sass bouncing between her and him severed by the sudden seriousness of their purpose. They both glanced up on cue, one swiveling his ears forward on full alert, gaze dark, and the other losing her smirk, an unfathomable solemnity passing over her face. Work was work, after all. Mirach’s sense of duty to the Impedio Society still seemed to be as strong as ever. “Hold tight,” Erran barked as she entangled her fingers in the fur at the nape of his neck; it was more of a scolding remark than an order, “I want this done quickly. No one should disturb the Great One. At least not for long,” he grumbled.
“Save it Bambi and worry about your footwork. That’s a lot of ground to cov—whoa!” Erran shot forward from underneath her, an impetuous gleam in his eye as she swallowed the rest of her remark and ducked close to his body just to prevent herself from falling off. The little shit. Her eyes narrowed at first, but a smile quickly carved its way across her face. After that, both she and Erran fell quiet and focused only on the trip; he might have rocketed out of the gates in the beginning, but he quickly slowed to keep pace with Arcturus and her mount, too aware that the other human female seemed to be the head of Mirach’s herd, and therefore the one to follow. He followed her instructions to the letter, and Mirach more or less kept her mouth shut, too absorbed with the Humus Movendis looming ahead; the closer they came the harder the ground shook underneath them. She felt the tremor of that mobile mountain’s footsteps quiver through Erran’s body.
Eventually, Erran ducked his head and bulleted forward with more speed and grace. “Be ready,” he barked over his shoulder at his rider as the wind blustered by; Mirach was already far ahead of him. She tightened the strap of the pack thrown over her back and braced her arm against the base of Erran’s powerful shoulders in preparation for a leap. The sound of crackling rock, stone and dirt pressed upon her ears as they neared one of the creature’s forelegs. “Watch yourself, human,” was the only consolation Erran offered her; he did not even hop up onto the cragged foot of the Humus Movendis to make it easier. To his credit, the deer dared to close the distance to within a few inches and tolerated her as she swung one leg over and planted a boot on his back to leap off.
To say it wasn’t a head rush to make that jump would be a lie.
Her blood was hammering in her ears as her hands snagged on a patch of thick, green vines and she quickly hauled herself into an upright position before she fell, grumbling under her breath about giant, moving colossi. The wind whipped at her back and she squinted up at the massive wall she had to scale just to reach the bottom of the beast’s shoulder. She sighed.
It was time to climb.

words | 385 | That was their cue to move. Naos watched his cousins depart, offering one last salute before finally hopping on the deer he had been paired with. She seemed just as ready as he was to get a move on, even if his pseudo-naive excitement wasn't quite matched. However, she did wait long enough for the boy to get settled. He really hadn't ever ridden anything before so this adventure was a handful of new experiences on multiple levels. Of course, he had read about riding before, but putting the facts into practice was a completely different matter. Especially when the deer did not come equipped with convenient saddles.
Would sentient deer even be willingly saddled? He'd have to ask that question when they made their way to their destination, assuming that his companion wasn't sensitive or annoyed by such questions. For now, he was staring at where they would be heading, scoping out what he figured would be the best path. He was banking on the idea that Tela knew her limits and had some idea of the area. "Alright, let's go ahead and go up that way. That seems the least steep way to go about it, yeah?"
"That's fine. It matters not, so long as we move quickly." Fair enough. Naos decided to trust in her confidence for as long as it served his purposes. Or rather, his cousin's purposes.
Just as they were about to depart, he caught Lupus talking from behind. He looked back at the white-haired man. He hadn't thought that he'd have a chaperone, if Lupus counted as something like that. However, he didn't respond to it in a negative way. After seeing what Lupus could already do, it didn't make logical sense to try and get on his bad side or the bad side of the deer that were accompanying them.
The teenager gave a warm grin and nodded. "Sure, just don't drag your feet! We have work to do. Now…" He took hold of the deer, careful not to pull at her while finding a way to secure himself. "Hi ho, silver! Away!" Tela looked back at him questionably, but his smile didn't falter. He returned her confusion with a shrug. "It just means 'let's go'."
And that was all she needed to hear to get moving. |

As a rule, she didn't trust anything that wasn't blatantly human. Hell, even then, you had to hit a certain criteria of thought processes (she dare not say sanity or stability, as she was fairly sure no one here had it) or critical thinking power, so to say she was wary to entrust her safe transport and help onto the best from another beast was an understatement at best. With no options, however, she was forced to make a grim face and keep her hands steadied on Filyon's neck and her posture poised to roll off at the slightest sign of discontent. He carried her to her destination with little trouble, however, which led her problems from mistrust to just how to transfer from one mount to the next. She was plunged into the darkness of its shadow, forced to take a moment for her eyes to adjust before eyed its feet as it moved, knowing she had to grab the one that was closest to leading her to her goal.
“It's not wise to stay under here.” the voice of her mouth came, and she silently bid it to shut up. She was working on it, okay. She set her eyes on her goal, and called over the rush of wind and crunch of the moving earth as best she could. “I hope you don't scare easy. Take me as close to that as you can. And I mean close” She received no answer, but her mount did as she bid, and she pushed herself up as they veered toward the foot that was slowly descending towards them, supporting most her weight on where her hands gripped the deer's neck, her legs only lightly gripping at the knees and far more poised to left herself off. She had to admit, Filyon's interpretation of close was definitely close, and the fact they hadn't been waylaid by the crumbling earth as the foot hit was a miracle. Arcturus saw her opportunity as the deer moved to leap over one of said pieces of debris, and as soon as she felt his body bunch to prepare itself, she pulled her feet up, planted her boots square on his back, and used whatever momentum she could from the deer's leap to hurl herself at the thing's leg.
There was that moment that seemed to be filled with a deathly silence, when all the air was sucked out of existence as she hung in the air, that one brief moment of doubt, of 'what an awful way to die if I miss', followed by her body slamming full force into the creature, a grunt from the impact, and scrabbling hands to get her grip. Luckily, she found it. She didn't bother to check on anyone else, for the moment, tilting her head back as far as she could to peer up the long leg. The immensely long leg. Oh, yeah. This was gonna be fun. She took a deep, slow breath, and began to push herself up, allowing herself a good two minutes to realign herself, before she spoke aloud, as a way to nonchalantly check on the others and their progress.
“I'm having traumatic flashbacks of boot camp and Lieutenant Hensen thinking it was funny to cut our support lines halfway up a sixty foot wall climb.” she complained lightly, attempting to deflect a bit of the serious atmosphere, as well as distract herself from what they were doing. She wasn't scared of heights, but scaling a moving, living object wasn't exactly what she'd call her comfort zone. It was between inane comments or singing, and she suspected her backup wouldn't appreciate her singing through the earpieces. “Though I'm banking on Mirach not freezing up and crying until someone gets her down like those kids. I'm nothing if not optimistic.” Despite the anecdote, she kept moving, hand over hand, boot treads digging in to each footing they found, grip sure and face set and she scaled deftly.

Lupus took Noas lead and mounted Isuth, and although he did not want to he knew his choices were limited. He was powerful with portals, but those took time to prepare, so taking this mode of transportation was the best choice of action. Yet to ride Isuth was no easy matter, her threads were tricky and with nothing to really hold on to he had to hope that she would at least move slow. Which to his luck she did. It was just like the daughter of a powerful stag to be so full up in her own little world. She moved slow not to be careful, but because she didn’t feel that there was a rush. She moved at her own pace and would not be convinced differently. Lupus couldn’t do anything the change the pace and just gave him, he knew that at some point they would get to where they needed to be.
It took a bit, the rock walls were high and the path was tricky but in time they got to the perfect ledge where Lupus could see the grand space of the canyon. He dismounted Isuth pleased to finally be off the thing, he had respect for these deer, but worried about their future. Lupus smirked at Arc’s comment in his ear, at least it sounded like she was having a good time. He responded, still hoping this earpiece thing was working like it should. ”Well mattering on how things go, boot camp might start to feel like a walk in the park. Be careful you two.” He took to leaning against the cliff’s wall and looked over at Naos. He decided that a little conversation couldn’t hurt. ”Such a young man, you must be talented to be trusted with such a mission.”

According to Dominic, Mirach was part blood-sucking leech and therefore couldn’t cry. So really her cousin had nothing to worry about. The only problems that Mirach seemed to be encountering on her trek up were the naked, cutting edges of rock and dry, dusty earth. The latter crumbled under the weight of her hands and sometimes made her heart drop into her stomach when she lost her grip. It was tiring work, but she mostly grumbled to herself and continued on as quickly as possible. There wasn’t much in the way of points of interest on this behemoth anyway; the plant material that clung to these old crevices was dry and sometimes even dead. Mirach imagined the corruption had poisoned the very heart of the colossus and withered what once must have been a beautiful, natural tapestry draping its body. Some things still twitched or wriggled with life, but the spark was faint and helpless. Humus was either oblivious to what was going on or didn’t care.
It was likely the latter.
Compared to him, they were mere fleas. Yet, Mirach braced herself. It seemed odd—or stupid—to assume he was completely helpless or unaware. Hell, every time he lifted the leg she was on it felt as if she had a hurricane whipping at her back. She kept climbing during the breaks, keeping an eye out for trouble. By now she was high enough that the deer racing and leaping their way across the meadow looked like beetles scuttling out of the way of a shoe as they danced around the behemoth’s footsteps. “I keep waiting for something nasty to pop up,” she grouched into her earpiece. “This seems almost too easy and—hello.” Mirach paused, planting her boot flat against a rock face and smirking. There was a royal violet flower blossoming a few inches to the right; it could fit in the size of her palm easily enough. “Heh. Naos, you want a souvenir while up I’m up here? What'll it be, cousin? Dead vines? Clod of dirt? A pet rock? Or a purple flower?”

words | 395 | Making their way up to their perch was not at all as difficult as he thought it would be. He still didn’t quite have the hang of riding his deer, but he managed to hold on to her without any complaints from her. So far so good. The way she walked it seemed like nothing could bother her anyway, though they weren’t getting too far ahead of the more regal leader Lupus was riding.
Arcturus’s attempt to deflect some of the situation’s seriousness was met warmly by Naos, who was already still in that weird mix of giddiness and uncertainty. “If either of you start crying, I think it would mean the end of the world, yeah?” He was young and inexperienced. Being highly self-aware of this, the weird mix came from the fact he knew that he should have been more on edge than excited, especially given his duty to be ready and on the look out. However, even Lupus’s cautious reminder to his cousins couldn’t take the grin from his face.
He glanced back at the strange man. Human? Maybe? All he could do was nod as if the kindly worded statement was nothing. “Oh, I’m very talented,” he said, not at all ashamed of his lack of humility. “Not sure this is quite my area yet, though. I have a feeling the invitation list to this was just based on who could be threatened into silence the easiest. And you, since I’m not really sure about your relationship with my cousin.” While he would have liked to think that his cousin also found his skillets potentially useful for something, he had a feeling there were a number of other reasons. He couldn’t really explain his obligation to his family, but he knew that he wouldn’t have been who he was without it. And since he really wanted the opportunity to spend more time with his cousins anyway, it was all fine with him.
Naos’s attention was then turned when he heard Mirach’s through his earpiece. “I’ve always wanted a pet rock!” Always as in just now that the idea was mentioned. “Maybe a flower would be more useful, but I’d be careful. You don’t want a poisonous plant to be that first nasty thing to pop up. Or maybe even carnivorous! What’s the smell like over there?” |

She snorted at Lupus' comment, taking a large gulp of air as she grasped a particular questionable handhold before she dared to respond. “Obviously you've never seen Marine trainin', pretty boy.” Another steadying intake of air, swing upwards, grab – she scrambled as her foot slid a bit with this one, however, causing her to fall silent on concentrate more as she gathered herself. He was, of course, right – you couldn't really compare her current job to her old one, but that didn't mean that shit hadn't been stressful at the time. Ah, to be young, naïve, and entitled. If only she'd known then what she knew then – boot camp would have been a cakewalk.
Arcturus fell silent for a few moments as she hit a particularly, irritatingly sparse area, searching and scrabbling for footholds that her wide boots could get a grip on, resisting her urge to pull her knife out and start digging it in to leverage herself up. She may have to do that at some point, however – she was sure it would be met with a rather displeased host, so she'd rather avoid it if she could, but working purely on what they had may eventually dry up their sources...she just had to hope not. She heard her cousins through her ear and shook her head at them, rolling her eyes a bit. She wanted to gauge how far up they'd gotten, but talking herself into looking down was proving rather, well, difficult. She wasn't scared of heights, but she also wasn't stupid – when all that was keeping you toeing the line of life was your own strength, the cold shock of how far away the ground wasn't good for your grip.
When she was finally sur4e she was at a secure...well, as secure as you could get – spot, she finally spoke up, unable to resist a mocking comment. “I'm over here focused on not becoming a stain on the grass and you guys are picking flowers. Why am I not surprised?” 'Granted if what I heard was right they were contemplating cannibal flowers, or whatever, but flowers nonetheless.' Well, she supposed there was always one comment (compliment?) she could make about her family – they always kept you guessing, and more often than not, mildly amused. Though...that depended on your definition of 'amused' she guessed. Hers was, admittedly, atypical. “Next thing I know one of ya'll will be making potpourri out of pieces of this thing's body and spreadin' it around the office.”

Lupus had that old man air about him, while everyone was busy making jokes Lupus was keeping an eye on the action from a distance. So far arc and Mirach seem to be doing well with no trouble bot at anytime things could become difficult. Lupus had kept a few things to himself, but hoped that all would good well and he would have to admit that he may or may have not put the trio is more danger they they expected. No harm in staying quiet unless something happen, then, maybe then he would reveal that he had expected as much. For now silence seemed like the better idea, plus he knew that at least Arc would be able to handle herself, after all this had been her idea. Well partly, she may have had the drive, but Lupus was the one that had suggest how to accomplish her goal. Still he had faith that all will go well, and if not.. well he was there to seal the best away if things got too dangerous.
So far everything was going well, but he still needed to stress the caution that Mirach and Arc needed to obey. "Even so, be careful, and do watch out for those flowers.. everything that grows and lives on Humus is a part of him." Well that was to put it in a nice way, with out explaining what was really up there, Lupus only hoped that the residents of the moving earth were fast asleep. "Arcturus, when you make it up, head to the back of the creature's neck, that is where the best sample will come from. Then I would suggest that you make haste and return.. Humus will become angered." Lupus then looked at the boy next to him, the only one speaking in their small group, the two deer near by seemed to be at attention and very quiet. He did find it interesting how confident the boy was, or maybe that was his conceitedness talking. Either way he did make a point, there were many reasons why Arc would have picked him, but being easily controlled was surely one of them.
"I have a long standing agreement with your cousin, I help the IS and in return and I can continue my life in the way I see fit, without the IS causing me any troubles." He was not ready to give a history lesson, but hoped that the brief explanation would be enough for the young man.

Mirach smirked. “Potpourri, bouquets—I’ll slap a patent on it and call it, eau de…how do you say ‘smelly ass rock’ in French?” She debated nicking the stem of the blossom with a knife and slicing it free of the damp cliff face, but Lupus’ warning, though subtle, gave her good reason not to. At least until she had a better grip of what might happen. Perhaps on the descent she could snag a personal research souvenir, but it would be unwise to test her luck now. In the meantime, she’d continue to climb and await further instruction. Lupus might not be very forthcoming with the information, but as a Dia and a well-trained Impedio Society agent, trust in one’s commanding officer had been ingrained into her mind since childhood. She might make sarcastic jabs, but Arc was calling the shots here, and unless otherwise ordered, Mirach would keep going.
“Yee-haw,” she grumbled as she finally hauled herself up onto the shoulder haunch of the great behemoth. Loose pebbles and rock skittered away from her boots as she stood, stretching out one arm to snake her fingers around the strong vines slithering over the creature’s back. Mirach was uncertain if she should hold her position at this point or keep going. From the sound of things, Arc would be tackling the situation from a point on the animal, rock—whatever’s—neck. She snorted in the meantime and glanced down into the valley below.
“I’m in position on the shoulder. What now?” she asked into her earpiece.

words | 283 | For the moment, Naos spared Arcturus a list of carnivorous flower scents. Some were sweet or citrusy, others smelled like cat urine or rotting meat. He did imagine that it would have made for a really unique line of potpourri scents, but he wasn’t really into making that sort of thing. Maybe. Well, the more he thought about it he wasn’t really sure why not. It’d be something to explore the next time he felt bored enough to do so.
“Cul puant richer?” Naos suggested to Mirach with a smile, answering a question that didn’t really need answering without the slightest bit of irony in his tone. Then came a return to focus as his cousins continued scaling the beast. All he could do was keep watching. He was still in his perch on the cliff, as was his deer. He wasn’t sure what he was feeling and hardly registered that as mattering for a creature who was obviously willing to move whenever they needed to. For himself, however, there was a sort of antsiness flitting about in his core. Keeping an eye on everything seemed like an easy job, and it was one he could do well. However, the excitement of the matter was hard to contain.
Between the monster and the strange white-haired man, there was a lot going on. The teenager was keeping his eyes trained on what was going on in front of them, so he didn’t look over as Lupus spoke. Even if it did just raise more questions than were perhaps welcomed. “I understand,” he responded simply at first. Though there was the slightest tilt of the head. “How long standing would that be?” |

She resisting sighing loudly at Lupus continually chiding her to take this more seriously – just because she didn't sound serious didn't mean she wasn't, hell if Giovanni went ahead without her he was going to bring down an angel's wrath on her society, she damn well knew the stakes. She may not have a couple thousand years of experience, but goddamn she wasn't a child, and she didn't let Lupus deter her airy tone. “There's this thing called a bait 'n switch, and believe it or not I'm a damn fantastic distraction if I need to be.” Honestly anyone who didn't think she could be a good distraction was delusional, even if she didn't have an arsenal on her. “Why did you think I brought the crazier half of my family up with me? She's not just here to look pretty.” She briefly found her path blocked by an outcropping that jutted weirdly from the beast's leg, and was silent for a moment as she concentrated on shuffling to the side before continuing up. “Besides, big angry monsters are something of a specialty of mine.”
It just wouldn't do to spread the weight Giovanni had put on her around, after all she was a leader, she was supposed to shoulder this sorta shit in silence and keep a smile on her face to keep morale up, or something like that. Besides, she's shifted her mindset into work mode, which came with complimentary sarcasm as a side dish no matter what she did, just like petty insults came with her instructor mode. So she pushed aside all the pointless solemnity and carried on, pulling herself up one hand over another, and was exceptionally glad when she noticed it was becoming less of a straight up ascent and was starting to level – very gradually – into the neck and back area of the creature. She sped up, more than excited to rest her whining muscles from holding all her own weight up, and after a few moments was glad she was able to move into a crouch along the thing's neck, keeping her hands close to the thing in case it lurched – she didn't think tuck and roll would spare her from this fall.
“Right. So we're gonna try this sans distraction first, but if worse comes to worse, Mirach may have to run about and get the samples while I piss it off. Walk me through what I'm doin', pretty boy, because delicate operations ain't my style.” she called over the earpiece, moving carefully and with the lightest feet she could manage in combat boots along its neck, one hand always out in case she had to catch herself, or worse, defend herself.

The boy asked a very good qustion, but Lupus was not about to try and explain how long he had been working with the IS, or bettter yet how old he really was. Some things were better left unsaid, but since there was no contract on what he could or could not say he did decide to say something. "Long enough, before you were born. Though the years do seem to just fly by." He was being truthful enough without give numbers, plus he needed someone to talk to, Mirach and Arc were busy with their task, and Lupus was almost desperate to keep from speaking with the deer that stood only a few feet away from him. At least Isuth was distracted and doing little to be a part of the group, she was more interested in watching the people on the back of her god, after all, if they caused the great one any harm then it was her duty to protect him. Arc's comment was expected, well the tone at least. Lupus had been working with the women ever since she became a leader, and since then he had always been at the receiving end of her sarcasm. Unlike most people Lupus only took her comments in stride, rolling with them and not really showing any care to how snarky she could be. Lupus understood that it was just the way Arc was, and he knew just how to deal with it. "Yes well, if she was here to do so, then she would be whispering sweet nothings into the the beast ear, but yes I d understand you see yourself as an expert. Still there are some creatures that are more powerful or unpredictable then you have ever met."No matter how much Arc acted like she was unstoppable, Lupus would still give her a word of warning, on any and all creatures and creations that Arc dared to face. Still even though Lupus was helping her now, he worried a fair a bit on what could happen, after all, Humus was no something that could easily be killed, a reason why it was always sealed away. He did not need the titan to go on a rampage. "If you remember I gave to a jar, the seal on the cap will keep the.. substance from escaping and causing harm. On Humus the infection looks like a tar pit on his neck, you'll need to find a way to get some of the liquid mass into the jar and close it. Problem is, the infection is a part of Humus, once to tamper with it.." Lupus paused for a moment to think of how to work his next sentence carefully. "The substance will force Humus to protect itself, that is where Naos eyes will come in handy, we'll need him to keep an eye out for anything odd. I honestly can't explain how Humus might try to protect itself, except, he is a God to certain creatures, which reminds me." Lupus reached into his pocket and pulled out a small item, which looked to be a small pinecone. He walked over to Isuth and then placed the pinecone under her nose, in seconds the deer dropped to the group and was knocked out. Tela of course started to panic, but quickly quieted when Lupus threatened to do the same to her. "I have placed the deer's leader Isuth into a deep sleep, as long as she is like so, the others will not react to Humus anger or cause us any trouble, since only Isuth or her father can issue orders from afar. So please be quick, once you get back down, we'll need to direct Humus back to where we released him from."MIRACH DIA NAOS DIA ARCTURUS DIA
