the number one princess in the world you should know by now how to please me, okay? He had an unforgettable face - that was good enough for Leon. So, for the meanwhile, he was fairly happy with himself and didn't pursue the subject much farther. The answer was good enough for him, at least. He liked to think his face was unforgettable in a good way - not many people could be as charming as he was, right?
"No problem, really!" Paying for her food was the least he could do for bothering her, and the price wasn't even that bad. Even better if he wasn't bothering her, but he still felt bad if he had distracted her from something she was doing. They had sort of somewhat quasi-bonded with each other over sharks, but she had seemed a bit bored with it, and Leon had been the one who insisted on tagging along.
Although Lyn said that she didn't mind it, Leon still thought he was being just a little troublesome keeping her company. But he just knew that he would be lonely if he didn't have anyone to join him to eat. Actually he was hoping for someone to come along and do just that, and Lyn had just been the unlucky (or lucky) person that had done so.
Speaking of which. "I came alone. I don't really like going alone to things, but no one really wanted to accompany. So that's why I'm really glad you came along! But I can't really imagine you being lame and friendless, though." Leon did think of Lyn sort of as a friend, much as a stranger could become a friend in the course of less than an hour. And he didn't think they'd meet again by chance.
Close enough, really.

| I’m coming undone Keep holding on When my brain's ticking like a bomb Guess the black thoughts Have come again to get me Sweet bitter words Unlike nothing I have heard Sing along, mockingbird You don't affect me That's right Deliver it to my heart Please strike Be deliberate Choke, choke again I find my demons were my friends Getting me in the end They're out to get me Since I was young I tasted sorrow on my tongue And this sweet sugar gun Does not protect me That's right Trigger between my eyes Please strike make it ------- Lyn just smiled at him and busied herself with a bite of burger. After swallowing, she said “Yeah, maybe not quite lame, but I do work a lot. Not much time for friends,” she pointed out. Of course, she actually didn’t have any friends. Not because she was lame, but because she didn’t want them and was too strange to have friends. Anti-social wasn’t even the beginning of her problems.
Naturally she didn’t think she had problems.
But society would if they knew what she did.
“I can’t imagine someone not wanting to go to an aquarium. Do they like, hate fish or something?” she asked. As far as Lynette knew, people loved coming to these types of places to look at all of the novelty animals they’d never get to see otherwise. All of the pretty jellyfish, the dangerous sharks—wasn’t this supposed to be fun? Like a zoo? Oggling at captive animals?
She took a sip of her soda. Her stomach was absolutely ecstatic that it was getting food finally, and the burger tasted like absolute heaven as she chewed on it. Everything always tasted fantastic when she starved herself most days. She wasn’t doing it for her figure or anything shallow like that, she just didn’t have time to make fancy meals all the time and didn’t feel the need to gorge herself every few hours. Really she just had better things to do.
After a second, she checked her watch. Her lunch break was almost over.

the number one princess in the world you should know by now how to please me, okay? "No time for friends?!" What kind of barbaric job did she have?! Leon couldn't imagine not having time for friends. He supposed he could somewhat understand how work could get in the way of friends, but at the same time he couldn't imagine... not having time for friends! It was atrocious, absolutely heartbreaking! Leon was lucky to have a job that included friends and work (which, to be fair, work was like play to him). "That's... that's horrible! No time for friends... that's the worst torture ever."
Though changing towards how his friends (and stupid idiot brothers) left him to his own devices towards the aquarium, well... Leon did know sort of why they wouldn't want to come. And it wasn't even because they didn't want to go to the aquarium, now that he thought of it. It wasn't even that they hated fish. "Well, I guess I could be a little bit... overwhelming at times."
That was a lie. And by that he mean... he could be a lot overwhelming at all times. "I'm not being too overwhelming now, am I?"
Leon didn't intend to be, it was just how he usually was. Which he supposed could be a little unfortunate for anyone who had the misfortune to spend time with him.

| I’m coming undone Keep holding on When my brain's ticking like a bomb Guess the black thoughts Have come again to get me Sweet bitter words Unlike nothing I have heard Sing along, mockingbird You don't affect me That's right Deliver it to my heart Please strike Be deliberate Choke, choke again I find my demons were my friends Getting me in the end They're out to get me Since I was young I tasted sorrow on my tongue And this sweet sugar gun Does not protect me That's right Trigger between my eyes Please strike make it ------- Lynette keeped her facade going even though she couldn't understand his sentiments. What were friends for, anyway? What was with the human fixation on constant companionship? She couldn't understand it at all. She had never had felt the need to be surrounded by other people. Sometimes the thought even appalled her. But she understood that other people needed it, and that she should need it, too.
She just shrugged and swallowed her current bite of processed cheese and fake meat. “It's never really bothered me much, I guess. Probably because I meet so many nasty people I just need a break from them time to time,” she explained before taking a long draw from her straw.
It seemed like a fair excuse to her, anyway.
He brought up the fact that he was overwhelming and Lynette lifted a single brow, dropping her pleasant demeanor for just a few seconds. Oh, there was no way she could imagine that. Not at all.
However she shook her head and offered him a reassuring smile. “I can see where they'd think that but it's not that unpleasant. I'll admit I at first thought you prit-ty weird,” she commented with a slightly smile, hopefully indicating that she was teasing him. Usually she was pretty good at getting the right tone and phrasing. “But it's sort of endearing after a while.”

the number one princess in the world you should know by now how to please me, okay? Oh. That was a bummer, the fact that Lynette met a lot of nasty people. Had Leon met a lot of nasty people? Sure, perhaps he did, he just didn't remember. Or they weren't nasty to him. Leon did think himself a nice enough guy. Maybe a bit eccentric at times (at inappropriate times, even), self-centered, egoistic, and attention seeking. But lovable, right? "Ah, that's a shame, nasty people are such a bummer."
He could understand where she was coming from. Well, it was sort of like this. A lot of people wanted to take breaks from him, and they've expressed this many times, so he supposed it was kinda like second-hand experience of the sort. Of course, it was always his brothers that were like to this him, and the rest of the band, but mostly Theo complained about him (was he really that annoying? Maybe it was because he was the baby brother of the three).
"Ehhh? Weird? Was I really?" Leon was a bit self conscious about this, but he supposed she seemed a bit joking in her manner of speaking. "What did I do that was weird? Oh wait-" Oh yeah, Leon did do some pretty stupid things. In general, that is, not just today. "Oh. Oh good. Endearing. Am I really? Oh that's great, so I'm not annoying you or anything, right?"

You know, people don't really like getting parking tickets. I think I'm doing god's work, though. You've seen the way some people park. It's atrocious,” she snickered.
Lynette really thought that but more in the way of needing to purge all of them from the face of the earth.
Well she felt the need to purge most humans from the face of the earth, but baby steps.
“I promise. You're really not all that annoying. You're just—enthusiastic,” she said around what she thought was a polite amount of fries still in her mouth. They were pretty good, for fried potato strips. They definitely had a bit too much salt, but that was counteracted by a ton of ketchup and a follow up drink every time she ate a few fries.
Swallowing, she followed up. “I mean yeah at first I thought you were weird, I mean you jumped that rope and were looking at those sharks kinda funny but like I said—just enthusiastic. I'm glad I had someone to hang out with on my lunch break.”
Not really but whatever made him happy.
