Ana was no fighter, she was a scrapper. With siblings in her household, she'd been the oldest, and more than once she'd had to put them into submissive holds until they behaved or paid attention. Zombies didn't exactly react to submissive holds very well. Her scream, however, did something she wasn't quite expecting.
The zombie put her down.
In the background Lachesis made zombies go mad and attack each other, and Joze threw fire and ashed other bodies too slow to leave the cross fire. Olivie came to her rescue and pulled the zombie away that was trying to gnaw her leg earlier. In a few secure movies, Olivie looked like a bad ass ninja from a Jackie Chan movie, snapping the zombie away from her and effectively began to put it out of commission.
Ana panted as she got air back into her lungs and eyed the zombies that were just staring at her, almost hanging onto her every word. Ana wasn't sure what came over her, but her next order blurted out of her mouth as she heard more groaning from the other zombies around her. "Protect us." Her voice was hard as steel as she issued the command, praying that the zombies around her would listen and this wasn't just some fluke. In the meantime, they needed to get closer together and help each other. Ana backed away from the zombie and closer to Olivie, stepping over an arm that had been ripped off a zombie. No amount of therapy would ever make what she saw okay, but she knew in her heart of hearts that if she didn't over come this battle, that her life would be in vain. Cowards fled from the field of battle, but she wasn't about to leave Olivie and Joze. Or the angel flying above that was helping them. No, she would stay, and she would fight. With that new resolve bubbling up inside of her, Ana reached into her torn purse and pulled out the gun and the belt clip that went with it.
Her hands were steady as she loaded the small purse gun and clipped it onto her belt. The purse was zipped and her make shift bludgeon was wrapped around her hand again as she got ready. Olivie's question got a quick nod as she moved to the girl's side. In the midst of all this chaos, Ana's determination had given her a small amount of peace. If she died today, she'd go down swinging, and take as many of these rotting corpses as she could into the ground with her. Ana grabbed the zombie that Olivie was wrestling with by the shoulders and shoved it as hard as she could to the left while Olivie twisted right. It's arms gripped Ana for some sort of leverage, but she threw her body weight into it. The head popped off and the body fell to the ground, flailing for a moment before it started to turn into ash. The smell burnt at her nose as she rubbed at her sore arms, making sure there wasn't something like a severed hand still attached to her.
Did she mention that no amount of therapy would ever make this okay? She did? Good. "When this is all over, I'm dubbing you Zombie Killer Extraordinaire. Hell, I'll even get you a certificate you can hang on your wall." Now... back to business. "How many of these sap suckers do we have left to kill?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]She tried clawing her way towards the other two. It seemed that more zombies were blocking her path from there. One zombie taken care of, the fog spit out two more. At this rate, she would never make to them alive. No, they'd suffocate her by their sheer numbers. What could she do? Nothing. She didn't particularly want to try incinerating some more zombies, not with a risk of being burned again. It was too... well, she was scared. And injury meant that she couldn't work, which wasn't exactly the best thing for her.
Ah, but she had no choice, did she? There was nothing else to do besides succumb, and there was no way she was doing that. If she did, how in the world was she going to win another argument with her brother? He had won the last one, so she had to pay him back. How was Joze going to be able to do that when she was a dead, rotting corpse? In fact, she was pretty sure her family wouldn't even know she was dead until maybe... a week later. They barely paid much attention to her these days. Maybe her sister would be worried, but her parents were much too busy and Len, she honestly didn't know about him anymore.
Yeah, she wasn't going to be dead without first making a name for herself. Joze shoved the zombies away from her, trying to, once again, claw her way towards the other two. She did send some zombies flying, but most of them just pushed in front of her. She looked towards the angel for some sort of guidance, but she barely got any. Thoughts echoed in her head and she screamed as she found a zombie just where the thought said it would be - on her left flank. She screamed and ran the other way, which was farther away from her destination. She needed to master her power, but it was too scary. She didn't want to hurt herself again.
But it was either that or die, the angel was saying. So she tried again. How was it that boy did it again? The rune, drawing fire, shaping it in his hands... fire was uncontrollable. It was the reality of it. And it was unthinkable for her to be able to. But she had to do something about the surplus of zombies here. Otherwise they'd all die here. That stupid fog... Fire drawn from her rune, she attempted a better control. Burning flesh didn't smell very pleasant.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] [style= height: 34px; margin-bottom: 7px; width: 245px; float: right; border-bottom: 1px #bdbdbd solid;] Lachesis effortless jumped into the air and drop kick a zombie, the resulting burst of ash was not as satisfying as she thought it would be. This was a dying battle. There was no possible way they could win. She was stuck with a useless Fire Knight who was incapable of using her powers properly, a Noble who was greatly under powered but was trying her best and a Pupil who clearly was too interested in the life of another mortal to realize that there was a rather large zombie coming up behind her. What kind of welcoming was this? Fate was expecting her, she knew it was but yet she came unprepared. She grimaced as she grabbed the skull of a zombie and squeezed until the dust fell between her fingers. She would not allow herself to die in such a disgrace.
To die amongst the dead was similar to just like everyone else. She was inhuman and powerful. She had to figure out a way where she could either break the forcefield or maybe kill all the zombies. She turned towards Joze, the girl who was suppose to be her saviour in such a situation and buy her time. The fire springing from her rune was burning her flesh. She rolled her eyes slightly before trying to teach the mentally retarded. She figured the only way her small mind would understand was to show her. A display of her past life was clearly not enough. With a huff Lachesis took a couple steps forward so she was within a closer range to Joze. She stomped her foot which caused the zombies around her to cease their movements. Although the zombies around Joze were still enclosing her in an attempt to kill her fragile body.
Lachesis drew out white dazzling light, although she could summon from her hands she drew it out of her fore arm, just like Joze. She pulled the light out of her skin like a long rope, she swiftly moved both hands to control it as it hovered a couple inches away from her skin. The Fire Knight used long range attacks, her body would not be used to such close proximity of the flame. Lachesis controlled the light as if it was an extension of her hands. The light dancing across the air, easily jumping from one zombie to the next as her arms were in continuous movement. The ashes that clouded Lachesis' vision proved to herself that Joze had enough of a lesson. The fire needs to be away from your skin. Her mental tone was needless to say... sarcastic to say the least. The dazzling light that she had been manipulating danced about the zombies without Lachesis' influence. It would burn out rather soon but she was starting to feel the drain of her power use.
She turned on her heel before she walked towards the other two civilians. Any zombie that came to close to her burst into ash either from Lachesis' wing's lashing out to cut them or an occasional fist to the face. She stopped before the two civilians. Although it was clear some zombies were fighting other zombies Lachesis couldn't help but smirk. Smart girl. Lachesis gave Anna a small smile. She liked the girl, she hoped she didn't die in this fiasco. Her voice echoed in Joze's head If you are done being a flailing imbecile I have a plan. The fog should decimate if exposed to sunlight which should be coming up within the next two hours or so. Even the slightest ray of light will kill them like my light has. The angel could not communicate to the two civilians as she could not speak without destroying them. The next two hours should be filled with fun.

Ana glanced at the watch on her wrist as the zombies she had commanded started to tear into other zombies. A sag of relief crossed her shoulders as the head strong zombies plowed into their brothers, ripping apart what they could. She was impressed and more than pleased, but she knew that it was only a small drop in the bucket. They still had a ways to go, and but her watch told her that the ungodly hour was becoming more holy as the sun made it's way towards them. It was only five something, but the sun came up in a few hours.
A few hours... they could make it.
Steeling herself, Ana looked for the strongest looking zombie and raised her pistol. Her small group of zombies were making a neat meat shield, but without help, they'd fall. "Blondie!" Her voice was a yell over the moaning and screeches as she shouted for Jose. Lachesis landed next to her, light erupting from her hands. Fire soon joined it and zombies ashed left and right. Ana grinned a bit to herself as her confidence boosted. Aiming carefully she targeted the larger zombie as it clung to one of her 'soldiers'. Not tonight asshole. She pulled the trigger and the recoil traveled up her arm as the zombie jerked backwards, a bullet going through it and into the zombie behind it. The big one didn't fall, but the shorter one behind it caught the bullet to the forehead and crumpled to the ground. Well... that wasn't exactly what she had planned, but it was better than missing completely, right?
Lukas, Thank God you made me take shooting lessons with you. Memo to self; don't kick his ass next time you see him. Hell, treat yourself, buy him food. He likes food, right? Ana concentrated on what she'd do after this was all over as she aimed for another zombie with the pistol, carefully aiming so she didn't waste a shot. "Blondie! Get your ass over here when you've got the time!" Ana's yell was almost singsong as she fired her gun again. The zombie fell, clutching it's collarbone where the bullet had gone through, and Ana rushed over and jumped on top of it and started stomping. The zombie's skull crushed after a couple of stomps and she hopped off, keeping herself close to her group of people.
The sudden light and fire made a small idea bloom in the back of her mind. "Angel! Blondie! Can't you combine powers and blind everything and just ash it instantly?!" She yelled her idea over the zombies as she pressed closer to where Joze was. Although she didn't get too close.... fire burnt after all.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]Mayday. Mayday. She was definitely going to die. Joze came to this realization a bit too soon. What with her arm burned and the never ending pile of zombies coming towards her, one would only draw the logical conclusion that they would die in such a circumstance. Sure, the very existence of the zombies defied logic (so how was it even possible to draw up a logical conclusion without risk of her brain spontaneously combusting), but taking that out of the equation pretty much left her with the grim consequences of her decision to come here. She could have been in her bed. And then she thought for a fleeting moment that she hadn't slept the whole night. It was four thirty something last time she checked, and this could very much be her sleep deprived brain telling her to go to sleep and that this was all a hallucination. The searing pain of the burn on her arm was just her imagination, and the zombies a figment of her imagination. Because they couldn't possibly exist. The angel that carried her was unreal, and neither were her new found powers.
Then again, the searing pain on her arm should have been enough to shock her awake and not get her to be seeing these things again. If they were fake then why was she still seeing them? They were real. They stunk, they were slimy and rotten and unpleasant. They serenaded all her senses like imagination could not. And she remembered the bike (and how she would never be using it again, the poor thing. how was she going to get to school for free now?), the embrace of the angel, and the visions she had not been accurately following. Sue her if she wasn't able to think with all the panic and doubt in her mind. Was this real or was this fake? If it was a dream it can't hurt for her to fight back. If it was real, it definitely wouldn't hurt for her to fight back (after all, she wasn't going to let herself just die, no matter what the bad chances of surviving were).
The fire drawn from her hand was difficult to control in the first place. The second time around wasn't so bad as she weaved the first around, timid and careful not to let any of the flames lick her skin. Being burnt was not on her agenda, but she could live with that. What she couldn't live with was if she messed up twice. A few zombies had been incinerated before - she was more than determined than ever to burn a lot more this time around. If this was any time to be stubborn, it would be now on the aspect of her life. It would not be claimed by a bunch of slow-moving bags of rotting flesh. They had their chance to live, and it was her turn now.
Lachesis flew near her, and somehow things came to a standstill. The zombies were no longer attacking her, and Lachesis was trying to show her something. A brightish light was brawn from her arm - not unlike that which she drew her own fire. Step one was already done as Joze was currently trying to manipulate the bright, burning flameball that somehow defied reality and came from her rune. But how the angel shaped the glowing light, flowing so gracefully that even Joze couldn't have imagined from the destructive element. How was she able to do what the Fire Knight could not? Still she mimicked the angel's movements, and to her relief didn't burn herself in the process. As for that sarcastic tone the angel took up with her... The blond grit her teeth and tried not to let her thoughts reveal her annoyance at that. Well, of course she wouldn't have known after being burned that fire wasn't supposed to be so close to her. No, she was going to repeat her actions and make the fire come in close contact with her and burn herself yet again. Totally. Just incapacitate her hands like that and make survival impossible.
It was odd feeling anger at such an important person, someone who probably held her fate in their hands, but that was how she felt. Control of the fire was somewhat easier and the flame bounded from zombie to zombie, resulting in a huge amount of ash to erupt from her vision and render her temporarily blind to her far surroundings. Though with zombies still in sight she was able to render them helpless for at least a few moments as she herself backed away from them. Her instinct was to run, but she wouldn't get very far. Plus, she didn't quite want to desert the others trapped in the same situation. So she retained her original plan, to get closer to them. Power in numbers, right? Not a moment after she decided this she heard Ana call out for her to get over there.
"Working on it!" Even with the roaring fire and the low moans of the zombie, on top of the blinding light and ash everywhere, she could still hear the gunshots firing. It seemed like someone had the good sense to bring a gun with them, for whatever reason. Joze felt like she got a better sense of the fire that she possessed, though it seemed to be getting all that much harder to control over time. Well, that was only to be expected, seeing as it wasn't as though she could control it forever. The wild element it was. But she had to hold out for as long as possible - and hey, maybe even the fire going out of control would wipe out a good amount of zombies. But if it went out too soon, she had no idea if she could muster enough energy to generate more fire from her arm.
Sun. In two hours. How could she fend off the zombies for that long with her diminishing power? Sure, she had only been manipulating the flame for what, five minutes? But it felt like a thousand with how hard it was to control and what not. It took a lot of focus - perhaps too much for so early in the morning. And to keep at it for that much longer? She needed to rest soon. "I... I don't know, I'm running out of energy." Damn this... she was only human, and she hated that little downfall.

An old football player stumbled towards the women surrounded by zombies but was taken down by a group of zombies under her influence. Another Zombie recoiled as it was struck with the fire that seemed to be coiling around the zombies and incinerating them upon impact. They were getting too comfortable with their powers. The ash was starting to make the air more hazy, the very air quality was dropping faster and faster. Although the zombies could not actually breath the effects of the air quality was going to quickly become a problem for the valiant opponents trying to beat the odds. After a volcano eruption, the most deaths associated with the eruption are from ash intake and not from the actual lava flow. As another undead soldier burst into ashes from a gun shot wound it was becoming very obvious they were going to have to be careful about their strategy. They might only have an hour and thirty seven minutes before the sun came up but they would choke to death before they had the privilege to see the sunlight.
The fog was continuously getting thicker, although more undead warriors awaited their turn for battle it seemed almost like there was no way of escape. The fog churned slightly around the feet of the civilians. If they could figure it out they would not have to wait for sunlight to evaporate the shielding that held them within the armies grasp. The black dome seemed to shimmer slightly as the fog made sure it was still intact. It would hold, the fog was nervous since the were still fighting harder than they should have been. They were suppose to be losing steam by now but yet they fought onward. The fog around the closest civilian thickened immensely. The grey haze physically wrapped around Olivie's ankle, it had enough form to take an actual hold on the girls ankle. It was as the girl lunged towards a zombie that the fog held her in place, preventing her from attacking the oncoming corpse stumbling towards her. The Zombie was upon her in a moment, causing her to topple backward as he had attempted to lash out with his decaying arms. The fog released it's grasp just in time as she stumbled backward.
The loud crack as her skull collided with the ground contained so much contrast from the usual puff of ash. The girl laid on the ground motionless, although her chest continued to rise and fall rhythmically her eyes did not flutter open nor was she capable of moving. The zombie that had knocked her unconscious quickly erupted into ashes as it was attacked by another zombie under the Noble's control. One down, three more left. With that notion the fog quickly started to thin, the waves of zombies were quickly becoming more visible. The fog had over exerted itself as well, taking a physical form had taken a lot of energy from the haze. The air was cleared than it had been but it appeared to be raining ashes slightly, the air quality permanently deserted within the dome. The radius of the dome was not very large but it appeared that there was maybe three hundred more zombies left. The group had put a real dent into their numbers but there was still soldiers prying themselves from the ground. If they were going to make a move now would be the time.
OOC . I strongly recommend you guys make your big move now, be creative. Use your knowledge you have gained from the past couple posts and base your strategy from that. Good luck! Lachesis shall not be posting next, you may assume that she is continuing to destroy Zombies. Feel free to NPC her for now within reason. [/style] |

Finally, finally Ana made it to Joze's side - or her back, whichever way fire wasn't spreading. Her small group of zombie soldiers went with her, growling and groaning as they attacked their brethren. The dome was getting thicker, sicker, and Ana felt the ash start to constrict at her. As far as she was concerned? She'd worked too damn hard to be smothered to death now.
Ana eyed the ash and the dome around them. Olivie had fallen, but the zombies paid her no mind. She was within reach if she needed to grab her, though Ana was more worried about the fact that their numbers had just dropped. Quickly her eyes sought an escape route, anything that would help. Joze was frying zombies and Lachesis's magical white whip was making them burst on impact. The fog cleared a little as it retracted and the dome shimmered.
The shimmer caught her eye and Ana looked. Lachesis's glow wasn't the only thing lighting up the dome. The dome barrier wasn't that large, but it was large enough that it halfway included one of the iconic letters inside - the O. She could see the barrier touching the sides like a film, with the precious outside waiting just out of reach. The zombies would tire them out, but maybe... maybe they could blow a way out. If that shimmer meant the fog was checking it's boundaries, maybe it was tiring out too? Instinct told her that that was right, even if she had no idea what was truly going on, or what this fog was. All she knew was that it was ridiculous and she was tired of it.
"Lachesis, Blondie, I've got an idea. These zombies are going to over run us, we need to escape. I think we should attack the barrier while we've got some form of a chance, all forces combined. We can blow up the Hollywood sign and maybe the force of it will create enough of a gap for us to escape!" They could outrun zombies, right? They were slow! That or the angel could fly one of them out of there while the other ran. Ana was up for anything at this point, but blowing up the barrier sounded like the best idea. The O would explode, adding to the beating they would punish the barrier with. She had enough bullets, Joze had fire, and Lachesis, dammit, she was an angel - surely she could do SOMETHING! The zombies already had them backed up right next to the wall, it would be all too easy to begin their attack.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]Oh no no no no no. This was just getting worse by the minute, wasn't it? More zombies. And now a fallen warrior. Just great. Just how were they going to get out of this mess? But the tides looked like they were turning now. The fog was getting thinner, she could see the waves of zombies much clearer. Joze wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, the fog was the source of the zombies. So if it cleared up then that surely meant there would be less zombies for them to deal with. But at the same time, she could see more zombies. So she really didn't know. It was still a little comforting to know that there was another person by her side, suffering from the same things as her. To not be alone in this was just oddly comforting, for some reason. Especially since she didn't want to die alone. In fact, dying with a stranger seemed a lot better than dying alone.
Well, it was in her case, anyways. But still, she didn't really want to die, with all those zombies and all. And what exactly were they going to do when they kill her, anyways? Eat her brains out? Eat her flesh or something? Or leave her there to be identified easily? Just kill her and be happy with it? Because... they were zombies and all. They ate brains, right? They were scary, walking pieces of dead flesh. It was like they were the monster in Frankenstein in the flesh and blood. It sent shivers down her spine. But what could she do, the fire was slowly dying out before her eyes. She didn't have enough fire power... It was dying, she was losing control of her little flame. She could draw things from her rune, but she was getting really exhausted. And the thing is, she really didn't want to.
What kind of thing would she be doing to help, anyways? Fire was what she was excelling at right now, if she let the flame die out then it would be impossible for her to fight. There was one last thing she could try, and that was to imitate the fire bow and arrow that the young man in the vision had been welding. She could try that, and hopefully it would work, but if it didn't. She couldn't imagine the consequences. She was really tired of trying to wield this flame, anyways. Maybe... if she found some kindle and let the fire burn, she could rest, and not have to draw the flame from her rune, and regain some of her energy, hopefully. There were a few bushes, she hovered the fire over there and took a bit of a break. Not a good time, but the leaves and branches were burning. Maybe if there were a big enough fire the zombies would just burn on their own.
She took a bit of a break, resting her arms, which fell limp to her site. It was exhausted from all the fluid moments it took to control the fire. Joze hadn't rested her hands since she picked up the flame. It felt nice, but they were going numb. Which was not good, she only needed a few seconds rest, or so she was planning. Numb limbs was not what she was going for. She was tired and exhausted. It was dark and she hated it. Sunlight wouldn't be here for another hour (or maybe two? She honestly couldn't keep track anymore).
With hands that almost refused to listen to her brain, Joze brought them and tried to make the burning flames on the bushes obey her command via hands. A bit more work than she had thought - perhaps she shouldn't have taken the break? It just made her hands feel more and more like jelly than she had originally thought. She was burning zombies, yes. But there seemed to be a million more, and she was unsure of how much longer it would take to get rid of it, if indeed they could (it seemed as though they were fighting a losing battle). She was fresh out of ideas, and if she did have one, she was too exhausted to even say it. In fact, it was more like I don't want to do this anymore just kill me now type of mindset she had. Which was not very good for her, and her stakes for trying to escape this with her life.
Plus, trying to think while fighting probably wouldn't do her wonders - she ought to just focus on fighting since she didn't want a repeat performance of her first attempt at fire, which was burning herself. No, that wouldn't help anyone in this situation, least of all herself and Ana. And hopefully Ana had a few good ideas up her sleeves, because Joze was left with none. No, she was saying something. A new idea? That sounded awfully tempting to do. Since they couldn't do anything about summoning the sun and all (unless that was one of her powers she just didn't know how to do, but she doubted that anyone would rise the sun).
"I'm good for anything, really. Just so long as I'm able to do it. I'm desperate for anything to get us out of this situation." It nearly took the breath out of her to say that, but no matter. As long as the point got across to her. She looked at the barrier. With the fog diminishing ever so slightly, she could see it a bit more clearly. So perhaps the thinning fog was a good thing, after all. And blowing things up seemed like a pretty good idea - if their plan didn't work, a big explosion was sure to get a lot of zombies out of the way. Of course, there was always the chance they'd get caught up in the crossfire, but that was a chance she was willing to take, because being killed by zombies was a lot less pleasant than being killed by exploding Hollywood sign. But they needed more fuel than just her fire and Ana's bullets and whatever the heck Lachesis would bring in.
What could they use? There could always be some firewood gathered, but that would take much too long. There was nothing else that she could think of. Absolutely nothing. Unless... Well, there was the gasoline. It seemed like a pretty good idea considering gasoline was fuel for fire, and fire could bring along the destruction of the big O on the Hollywood sign. The problem was... how in the world was she going to be able to pay for the damages of such a prestigious monument?! That would be impossible, her family was so poor... To be at the scene was a bad thing for her and her wallet.
Now how was she going to do this? She needed to get the gasoline up there, and she couldn't manipulate that. It was liquid - she could only do firepower. Ah, this was disappointing. She was strong now... she could push Ana's car up. With Ana's help. But it would be slow going... zombies would probably get to them before they were able to get it to desirable reaches. Ugh. Maybe if she just concentrated all her firepower there, it might just blow up to the sheer amount of fire being propelled at it. No. That would only tire her out more. What else was there? She had to think. What else, what else? Her mind flipped through the images that Lachesis had showed her. The bow! She was just thinking about attempting it earlier. It would make sense. Hollywood sign was a way's from where she was standing, and a bow and arrow would surely make the distance better than a throw would. With the amount of fire she had burning on the bush, she thought that could suffice enough to be a bow that she could handle. The only problem was her aim.
Ah well, there was nothing else to be done, and she was running out of time either way. With her hands she molded a bow shaped thing, and an arrow. Joze was a bit more confident now with her fire skills, but even then she was surprised that the bow and arrow was happening. But she was getting fatigued now. No, she had to focus on her target. She let one arrow go in the direction of the O, and then another. And then another. Hopefully both Ana and Lachesis could fend off the zombies, because she honestly wasn't paying much attention to them. "I'm on it, can you cover the zombies!?" She had to keep doing this until she ran out of ammo, or ran out of energy.

The fog recoiled in shock as the knight seemed to use her powers with a mastery that could almost be compared to her past life. Her instincts stronger than on would have thought. The flame zoomed towards the large letter, their power arching through the ash filled air. The collision with the large letter O causing embers to rain down towards the ground. The smouldering letter quickly caught fire, it's heat radiating in almost unmanageable amounts. The zombies, although initially uninterested continued to swarm the group, the light not strong enough to repel them away from the group of mortals. Most of the undead warriors did not make it even close to the mortals as Lachesis continued her attacks on the Zombies, some meeting their end by other zombies under the influence of Ana. The fog twisted and turned not liking where this was going, nothing good could come from such a large amount of fire let alone one of the three fates standing before itself. The day the three fates arrived was suppose to be the day of redemption. The prophecy had lied, redemption for who? A zombie cried out as it collided with Lachesis' light, resulting in ash being scattered into the air. The fog was not going to run out of soldiers, it was going to suffocate them, it took one false move to be hindered by a warrior. The fog still needed time to regenerate, it was powerless as it could only watch the events occurring before it's eyes.
Lachesis turned towards the flame, it was all it took. The red flame licking at the Hollywood letter instantly started to burn brighter, the heat increasing drastically. The smoke that was produced only added to the smog that the ash had created. Lachesis was doing something that the fog had not anticipated. The flame started to turn a brighter shade of red, it was not getting hotter, it would turn blue if it was intensifying. Instead the fire was producing more light, the chemical reaction for such a thing was impossible. The fire was too bright to physically look at, the Zombies in the surrounding area burst into ashes, the light to pure for such creations. The closet zombies crumbled to ash, the zombies stopped approaching but instead watched. The letter O was highly unstable as the now white fire burned away at the letter. The creaking was unmistakable as the supports are starting to break, the letter was going to fall. The letter slowly started to tip, as if a scene from the titanic it slowly started to capsize. The large letter leaned and leaned until he creaking was a clear and defined crack. As if in slow motion the burning letter crashed into the barrier that had contained the battle, the white fire quickly starting to make the forcefield dissipate. It was only where ever the fire was close the the forcefield that the night sky could be seen beyond the dome. They were free.
The fire was still spreading at an alarming pace, the letter would be completely consumed in the next five minutes. The forcefield was trying to regrow but the light from the fire prevented it from regenerating. The fog had lost, the army was still present but it was meaningless if Lachesis got away. Even worse three mortals had been reconnected wight heir past life. The coming rebellion was imminent, no one could leave the future battle unscathed. Blood would be shed once more, families torn apart, lovers thrown against each other. The past was colliding with the present. It was suppose to be the past resurfacing and whipping out the present but the present was continuously getting more warriors. This battle might be a loss but the fog would not lose twice tot he same enemy. The past would fight harder than ever, the outcome would be different this time. Fate's rebellion would not be compromised by the three fates, the three fates would die at the hands of each other. Everything would come to a close and Fate would be free to walk in a physical body. | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 500px; height: 35px;] |

This was her fault, she could have rescued these mortals if she had ignored them. By trying to save their lives she ruined their futures. None of them would ever get the same future that had been lined up for them. She shook her head ever so slightly, her silver hair cascading around her, the ash that had caught in her hair shook loose. She could feel the plans forming in their heads, the smiled slightly. The mortals might actually make it out of here alive. The though brushed against her thoughts, the moment of compassion unknown to her. She quickly returned to a scowl, it suited her more. She brought back her arm only to bring it forward again, her liquid light shimmering as it followed her hands movements. The whip like weapon cracked through a zombie, the ash replacing the decaying flesh in moments.
Lachesis could hear the Fire Knight sending arrows towards the large letter. Joze. The girl might not be as powerless as she first thought. It was nothing compared to what the past fire knight was capable of but it was still impressive that she was capable of using such a ancient battle technique. Lachesis wasted no more time, she turned towards the fire, her whip still in hand. The fire was bright, sure damage was being down to the structure but that fire would do nothing against the dome that entrapped them. Lachesis stared at the fire for a moment, allowing the battle to rage on around her. She blinked for a moment before she acted. She could physically see every combustion reaction that occurred to create the flame that continued to grow. She bowed her head slightly, the reaction slowly changing. It was becoming more... efficient. More energy was going back into the reaction, literally enforcing her will on the flame. It started to grow brighter.
The flame was not producing as much smoke, the reaction literally driving towards 100% efficiency. The flame was not getting too much hotter, instead the produced energy was going towards the light radiating from the flame. The fire started to turn a bright white color, the closest zombies turning to ash as the light was too intense for such a weak species. If the mortals touched it they would probably die as well but she figured they would avoid contact. She turned to the two mortals, the look in her eye clearly yelling at them to go. The forcefield would not have a hole in it forever, it was already trying to repair itself. Lachesis continued to monitor the flame, at such a stage it was highly reactive as it was unnatural for such a reaction to be so perfect. Humans strived to create such reactions and yet Lachesis wanted nothing more than allow it to return to normal. The zombies around her froze, to scared to move. Lachesis would finish this battle once the mortals were safe. She could not destroy them by accident.

It worked. Ana couldn't believe her eyes as Joze attacked the Hollywood 'O'. The barrier shimmered and Lachesis aided in the battle to break what the fog had created. The fire bow and arrow worked wonders and the zombies began to ash. Speaking of which...
While Lachesis and Joze worked on breaking the barrier, Ana went back for Olivie's body. Her host of zombies had cut down by two, leaving three to defend. Ana pulled her gun out and aimed, shooting a zombie in the back of the head that was too close to Olivie for her liking. Ana went to her and hauled her up, pulling her over her shoulders in a fireman carry before staggering to her feet. She looked light weight, but not enough! Ana gritted her teeth through the weight and started forward towards Joze and the sign as a fissure appeared in the barrier. There, she saw it; an opening. Ana looked away from the light and shot at another zombie even as more of them burst into ash. "Let's go! The angel will be fine!" She was an angel, for goodness sakes. All she had to do was stay airborn and she'd be okay.
Ana headed for the barrier's crack, her eyes solely focusing on that. It was just large enough for two people and Ana turned sideways with her cargo, carefully ducking through the fissure.
Clear air never looked so beautiful.
Her breath came out in soft pants as she immediately started to get as far away from the forcefield and zombies as possible. She only waited a moment for Joze, waiting until the blond emerged from the forcefield before sighing in relief. "Hurry up! We need to leave NOW!" Her shout was strong even as she adjusted the weight on her shoulders. She wouldn't leave the girl behind, not when she'd worked so hard to keep Ana safe. Bravery deserved courage in return - that she was certain of. Once Joze was heading her direction, she started down the road. She could call for a cab in a minute, but not until they were a safe distance away - safe enough to rest, to catch their breath. Already her mind was formulating what to do about her car - she'd call it in as a car jacking and go from there. Collect the insurance, get a new car. Or maybe she'd just drop the whole thing... she'd decide when she had the mental capacity to do so.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true] [/style][style=font: normal 10px arial; text-align: justify]It was working? It was really... really working. The 'O' Joze aimed at was catching fire rapidly - and she let herself stop from her temporary insanity of raining fire arrows onto the letter. It was insanity. She would get sued for all that money... she was broke already... oh no. No this was bad. At first she was concerned for her life, but now. Her parents... they could not pay for that big 'O'! That wasn't good. The consequences, she was not looking forward to. But she was glad for her life, but her cynical pessimistic side was criticizing her for not thinking this completely through.
It was surprising how easy it was to control the bow and arrow - it had been like a second nature as soon as it was formed. It was as though the near-death situation had enhanced her will to fight - or something like that. But now that the crisis was somewhat averted and she was absolutely drained of energy. Her head was pounding, and the letter was burning brighter and brighter. In the process the fog shield was degenerating - or at least it was in that one specific place. Gathering the last of her energy she charged herself towards that opening, where Ana was. The angel would be fine... right? Joze really didn't want to leave her there, after all she had done but... her life. She felt oddly protective over the angel for some reason.
But the angel was telling her to go anyways... so she had to obey. The sinking feeling in heart didn't go away though, as she followed the other two. Ana had the good sense to bring Olivie with her. Joze hadn't even given the woman a second thought, but at least the other did. Honestly she wouldn't have been able to get her out either way with her depleting strength and energy.
Upon getting out of the barrier, she breathed in the air, which wasn't covered in ash. She hadn't even noticed the huge change until she stepped out. Joze reveled in it for a while until Ana started taking charge. She had a point - it would be best to move away from the barrier full of zombies while they could. Her thoughts flickered onto how she would get home. She came on her bike, but she remembered she threw it on a zombie and it was permanently damaged. Now how was she going to go from place to place efficiently? Walking around with a heavy backpack on her commute from work to school wasn't exactly going to be the best thing ever. Well, she could live with it if she did double shifts to regain the money lost by the bike, she supposed.
As long as she was alive.

[/style] Lachesis frowned slightly, her silver hair moving slightly as a breeze rolled through the whole in the forcefield. She stood tall as she watched Josephine and Ana escape through the gap along with Olivie. She was almost sad to let them go, she knew she had altered their lives forever but she knew she would be seeing them again one day soon. Their fates had been altered, she had manipulated them herself and now their future was unknown even to her. Any minute they could die from some unknown cause or even outlive their past future. The humans escaped through the hole, the flames licking at the glimmering forcefield that threatened to reseal at any moment. Lachesis watched until the forms of the humans could no longer be seen, they were safe from the immediate dangers around them. She hoped they would be a danger to themselves but she had a feeling that things would work out for now at least.
Lachesis rose her hand towards the bright flames, the zombie still waiting at bay to achieve some sort of attack strategy. She closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the fresh breeze that the gap allowed to enter. Her silver hair cascading around her as the ash swirled in the air. The fire cast a warm glow upon the angel which was reflected in her grey wings. The feathers quivered slightly before Lachesis opened her eyes once more. Her extended hand quickly closed into a fist, the flames instantly burning out. The gap quickly started to heal itself as Lachesis remained inside the bubble. Nothing could exit this dome without man kind being put into danger that was too dangerous. Lachesis turned to face away from the dome, her suffering would be necessary for mankind. The zombies did not hesitate to start their approach on the lone angel, their decaying bodies staggering forward in an attempt to destroy the angel.
Her golden eyes blazed brightly as she started to truly end this battle, escaping was no longer a victory by her standards. She opened her palm slightly and grasped a whip like weapon that had materialized. The white whip was made of chains that quickly started to burn a blazing white. She would do what she had to do, even if it meant over exerting herself. Her wings beat strongly to get her into the air, Lachesis would end this tonight. She wasted no time in exerting her magics into the whip, lashing out at any zombie who got in her way. The fog would die if every zombie was killed. She only had to kill a couple hundred zombies and she had more than enough time. The ash sprung from the decaying corpses quickly as Lachesis attacked with a super human amount of grace. The glimmering forcefield could not contain such intense light, the rays of Lachesis' power sometimes snaking out of the forcefield. It was simply seen as maybe a ray of sunshine breaking through a dome. Lachesis would not stop until every zombie was dead.

Both of you have been rewarded with ONE RESIDUE as this thread is now complete. It has been placed in the archives under the 'events' sub-board. Additionally, fate would like to acknowledge bubbles for really staying in character as I really felt Joze did a great job in accepting who she was as well as going with her instincts. Bubbles has earned an extra TWO RESIDUE. Katie has also done an amazing job, it was wonderful to see Ana really grasp her role as a noble. She is going to be a wonderful noble, her powers are clearly going to be strong as nobles do tend to be stronger than the other roles but I really think her compassion for others is overwhelming which is nice to see. I really understand Ana when you role play with her and it is really nice to see such a well rounded well played character. Katie has earned an extra TWO RESIDUE. This being said, Kov has also done an amazing job but due to absences which have been explained it is unfortunate that Olivie shall be in a coma until Kov comes back. Olivie really stays in character no matter how much stress is put upon her, Kov has earned an extra ONE RESIDUE. | [cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 500px; height: 35px;] |
