EONS AGO, when the human race was relatively new and the people were just beginning to learn and develop, the Earth was place of balance and harmony. During that time, the world was a very different place where the Earth was greener, the wind was cleaner, and the waters were clearer. The inhabitants of the planet thrived off the Earth which in turn thrived off the energy that the people gave off. Centuries passed and the peopled found themselves developing powers associated with the Earth and its elements: air, fire, earth, water, and spirit.

People are naturally drawn to those similar to them and eventually, the people split themselves based on their respective abilities and five kingdoms emerged as a result. As time went on, the powers within the kingdoms only continued to grow stronger. Kingdoms grew suspicious of each other and sought to outdo the others and protect themselves. Lines were drawn and tensions began to rise as a fight for power between the kingdoms began to emerge. The powers intended for good were now being honed for a day when the kingdoms would fight.

The uneasy peace was soon broken. The Air Kingdom and the Fire Kingdom, notorious for their aggressive natures, formed an alliance with each other and attacked. The Air Kingdom surprised the Earth Kingdom with a vicious attack beginning the long war that would decimate almost everything. Battles broke out across the globe. The once prosperous lands were stained with the blood of not only soldiers, but civilians as well. There was no escape from the bloodshed and death that the war brought.

The harmony and unity that everyone thrived on was broken. When the war finally ended, even the Earth was severely damaged by the effects of the destruction. Crippled and weakened from the events, the Earth could no longer hold control over the entities that existed within it. The kingdoms no longer stood, leaving very few survivors who were unable to restore the world to what it once was. Death was everywhere and the times of energy and peace had ended.

THE EARTH HAD NOT FORGOTTEN, and even after so many centuries, the planet still suffered from the effects of the war. It still remembered the war and when death was widespread across its surface. Humans returned to Earth but they were no longer as powerful as they once were. Their affinities with the planet and their powers had been lost and they now relied on technology to survive. They started anew, creating new grand societies, and progress marched forward. The entities that had been released so long ago had been biding their time. Fate and Destiny have made decisive movements and history is beginning to repeat. What began in ancient kingdoms long ago has now come full circle, and is once again beginning in the great city of Los Angeles. While the humans of this time remain ignorant to the ancient past, they are slowly reawakening their past selves as Fate and Destiny begin to war for the future of the planet. Best be careful if you wish to survive.

The Fates watched, it was all they were ever suppose to do. They created human life, shaped it, and ended it. They controlled Fate. Every human was unaware of their existence and their influence. The three of them - Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos - took too much pride in their own work to admit their mistakes. Fate had grown too strong, mixed with the selfishness of humans, the war had triggered Fate to play an active role. They could not accept that such a powerful force had unleashed itself from their grasp. Combined they managed to subdue Fate, but Fate had already tempered with humanity beyond repair. The war was over but Fate had decimated thousands of lives.

Eons past and Fate has once again awoken. The Fates had continued on with their heavenly tasks but life is no longer in their control. Each Fate has been sent to earth in an attempt to subdue Fate once more. Fate is ready for them this time. The angels can never return home and sides are being drawn, not between kingdoms, but between the Fates. Between awakenings and such raw power, armies are starting to arise. Which side will you choose? The naive Clotho, the detached Lachesis, or the raging Atropos. Or perhaps, you might find yourself aligned with an entity. This battle is no longer about which kingdom shall reign supreme but which people remain alive. One last surprise still awaits the three Fates which will change everything they know. Will Fate be subdued once more by one of these armies or will Fate win and destroy the three fates once and for all.

Fate had not created war without Chaos. Once used to bring true chaos and destruction, the creature only known as Chaos was never discovered by the kingdoms until the nearing of the Great War. He had been both a messenger and tool for Fate. Created to be a physical tool to use on the humans, Chaos was known as "The Demon Dog of Death" First thought to be a weapon to one of the kingdoms, he killed many and only served to further turn the kingdoms against each other. He passed messages to those under the control of the Shadow Society, getting them to kill anyone who could be a threat to Fate's plans. Due to the Shadow Society being such a small group they were never noticed by the larger kingdoms as a threat. That had been a mistake.

Only near the end of the war was Chaos finally found. A ritual was performed by a member of the Spirit Kingdom to destroy Chaos. They used old magic and the sacrifice of two people to seal Chaos in a state that should have kept him quiet forever. What no one had expected was that with the awakening of people of the present, the seal on Chaos weakened. It finally broke when Destiny, a more silent side of Fate, awakened the beast and freed him.

Chaos is not the only problem, aside from the angels and Chaos there is another who knows the past very well. Now going by the name Lupus, this man seems to know more about the past than anyone else. Just who is he? And more importantly, which side is he on?

Then they gathered the ones who had been waiting. Generations of stories, ancient items and books had been passed down through the years. People going under the name of the Impedio Society made sure to always have the next generation ready and prepared for the awakening of the past into the present. Those that were a part of the sealing of Chaos decided that the powers they were born with needed to be watched, controlled, and maybe even destroyed. What started as a group to watch those with powers became a group out to destroy all with powers after only a few generations. The Impedio Society is the reason Fate had been having so much trouble bringing the past back. The order had made sure with wipe out whole families that had even one member be awakened. After so many years Fate went quiet and the Society relaxed.

Until now, with the rapid awakening of everyday people with no patterns of bloodlines, the newly reformed Impedio Society have their work cut out for them. They also have a slightly bigger problem, some no longer feel that they should have to kill just to stop Fate. Two out of the three leaders are convinced that just watching and stopping the out of control, awakened humans is enough. The group finds themselves low on supplies, members and knowledge.
