Bartender: For about 15 hours each week, Marcos is a bartender at the local club 4Play. His best friend Naomi also works there as an erotic dancer. His customers know him as The Don for some strange reason unknown to him. He is also responsible for helping clean up at the end of his shift.

• Marcos is half Mexican and half Puerto Rican, which means that his skin tone is naturally a coffee-like tone. He often gets compliments on his skin tone as well, but he tries not to let it go to his head. After all, in LA many other caucasians have a better tan than he does. He's never been one to stay outside and absorb the sun a lot.

• Marcos isn't the tallest guy, standing at about 5 foot eight inches. He weighs about 147 lbs last he checked, but it was all muscle. The man isn't afraid to show off his body, especially not after the years of work he's put into making it absolutely perfect. His shoulders are a bit broad for his body type and he bares a tattoo on his right shoulder that reads "A Lo Hecho - Pecho ". It's a famous saying that basically means to stand courageous and strong when facing one's own consequences of their actions. Accept what has been done and move along.

• Marcos doesn't have a particular style of dress, but he prefers light colored jeans that are semi-tight fitting. He wears a lot of t-shirts and hoodies when the weather permits as they are comfortable. He isn't opposed to dressing in a coat and tie for whatever job he's holding at the time or for a particular event, but more than likely he'll be dressed simply. He prefers Sketchers tennis shoes over the other brands for some reason. Sometimes he'll occasionally wear a beat-up watch he "received" or a hat to go along with his outfit.

• Marcos keeps his hair short-medium length at all times. He had never grown it out nor does he care to. His eyes, just like his hair, are black. At one point Marcos acquired some blue contacts, and he will wear them on occasion just because he can. They are not prescription contacts so he assumed they would probably ruin his eyes some day, but he didn't care - it was a change.

Cuddly: Marcos has always been a pretty affectionate guy. He's never had any problems with making friends, and they've always come to him when they needed a good pick me up. Many of his female friends have always seen him as the "big brother" type; therefore he has never been in an intimate relationship with anyone. For the most part, though, it hasn't bothered him all that much. Besides, he was a free man and was able to do what he wanted without someone holding him back. He loves getting and giving hugs especially, and he is the go-to man during cold weather.

Social: No matter where he is, Marcos will find someone to talk to. He thrives in social settings and loves to be around people that he cares for. Occasionally he will be the center of attention at parties, chatting away and telling wild stories that tend to not be so true. This will be the only time that he drinks as well - he must be with friends or family. Besides, drinking alone just meant that you were an alcoholic, and he learned years ago how dangerous the relationship with alcohol could be.

Dependent: While Marcos has no problem with doing things on his own, he feels the constant need to be with someone. That was probably the reason he and Naomi hooked up many times in their teenage years - he just wanted to fee close to someone. He wanted someone he could love and rely on because it made things...better. He doesn't like staying alone so he is frequently over visiting either Tequila or Naomi. This is the side of him he isn't very keen about.

Loyal: Though they've been in many adventures together throughout the years, Marcos has never betrayed Tequila nor Naomi. This was something he picked up from his father's drunken promiscuity, and he vowed to never end up like that sorry man. They were his best friends and he would always keep his word to the best of his ability. If anyone needed something, Marcos was one of the first people to call. He didn't have much money but he'd give it anyway if it meant helping a friend.

Indecisive: When it comes to choosing what type of clothes to wear, what restaurant to go to, and many other different things, Marcos is highly indecisive. It's not that he can't make a decision properly, but rather that he tends to think too much about his options in an attempt to choose the best. So whenever his friends call him out to hang out or something, the worst thing Marcos can do is to be in charge of choosing what to do or where to go.

Hard-Working: As evidenced by his moral codes being broken semi frequently, Marcos is determined to do whatever it takes for his loved ones. When he was younger he took to stealing things from others, but now he will perform sexual acts in videos just to get by financially. He's worked in various jobs at all times of the hour just to make a buck. It's not like he goes out and blows it on weed, but he probably could be using his money more responsibly. When he's at home, he's also picked up the art of cooking and cleaning, and Naomi jokes on occasion about him making the perfect housewife someday.

Mature: When living in the streets and working in the shadows, one tends to grow up rather quickly and learn that the terrors of the world are lurking everywhere. He has grown wise beyond his years and tends to give advice on occasion, but for the most part he allows Naomi to do such. Tequila, on the other hand, he worries about sometimes with her massive sassy attitude. Marcos isn't afraid to take responsibility for his actions, and sometimes even takes the blame for his friends' messes as well.

Distracted: At times Marcos tends to drift into another world, allowing his eyes to focus on one particular spot (which has gotten in him trouble a few times). He enjoys daydreaming and visiting alternate realities inside of his own head. If he were to have gone to college and majored in English, he could have written the best damned stories out there. His thoughts usually pertained to a better world with more love and less violence, but it was something he knew would likely never happen. Still, in his head, he had another reality he could visit whenever he pleased. It also acted as a defense mechanism when his father would yell and cuss at him in his teenage years.

Pessimistic: In general, Marcos has a tainted view of the world. He has lived in rather unfavorable conditions and couldn't understand why people were so happy all the time with the murder, rape, and chaos aplenty. For the most part Marcos was pretty hopeful, but he always expected a negative outcome so that he could prepare himself for the very worst. Naomi tended to be a bit more positive than himself, but Tequila was still a mystery. He had yet to figure her out.

Polite: Though never taught as a child, Marcos picked up the art of using manners a few years ago. When meeting someone, he tended to bow before shaking their hand (as he learned from Naomi). In this day and age people never held doors open or offered to carry heavy bags to an elderly lady's car, but Marcos was the very exception. If he saw someone in need, he would respectfully offer his assistance in any way that he could. However, that generally depended on his mood.

Marcos grew up near the border between Texas and Mexico with his father. When Marcos was five years old, his mother was deported back to Mexico because she was an illegal immigrant. His father Guillermo (the equivalent of William) had been legalized a few years prior to Marcos's birth when he came to the United States for work. At the time, things were well because his mother would take care of little Marcos while his father would make money and send it back to Mexico. Their goal was to move to the United States so that they could live what they believed to be a happy and free life in "The Land of the Free". This wasn't exactly what happened, though.

Esmeralda Palmero was lonely while Guillermo was gone, so she began visiting friends and going out places. She met another man at a bar one night, Roberto, and immediately knew that she had made a mistake by getting married earlier. They began meeting rather frequently and doing more things together, like going to see a movie and going out dancing. Eventually their relationship became physical, which led to Esmerelda getting pregnant with a little boy named Marcos Palmero. It wouldn't be long before Guillermo found out, and as soon as he did he stopped sending money to Esmerelda.

Nine months later, Marcos was born! She managed to sneak across the border and went to live with her husband Guillermo in Arizona. There, they made amends and lived for the better part of two years whenever she was discovered as an alien and deported back to Mexico. Since Marcos was born in the United States he was left with his father where they would eventually move to Texas, near the border. The first few years of his life flew by quickly, learning that his mother would not be coming back due to some issues with the United States and their rules about citizenship. So he would grow up without a mother, but that was okay because he had a great father with a nice job!

Wrong.

When Marcos turned five years old, he was admitted to a public school where he had to learn and become fluent in English. He began teaching his father English, and together they grew closer and bonded even more. There was no financial strain and they had no problems getting Marcos the education that he needed, so they were all set. His father was a pretty kind and gentle guy, but he did have this thing about alcohol that made Marcos kind of nervous. Marcos had his first taste of a cerveza around age eight because his father told him that in order to be a man he had to drink beer. The young boy didn't really like the taste of beer (but then again what kid in their right mind would?) but he insisted on drinking it because of his dad. That was probably a bad idea.

When Marcos turned thirteen, they moved to Los Angeles because his dad's job moved. There they lived in a small house with only two bedrooms. It was a cozy home, but it still wasn't the same as when they lived in Texas. Now that Marcos was entering the funny stage of puberty, his father started going out to party and meet women. It was easy to find other Hispanics in LA, and sometimes he would bring the women home with him for the night on the weekends. This wasn't like the father that he used to know, and so Marcos began asking questions. That was when his father yelled at him for the first time, telling him to go back to his room and not to come out until he said so. Marcos did as he was told, but his dad forgot him about. So Marcos stayed in his room for two full days, knowing that if his father was this mad there was no telling what the repercussions could be. Thankfully, he had some junk food leftover from his trip to the store, and there was a bathroom connected to his room that he and his dad shared.

At age 14, Marcos walked in on his father having sex with both a man and a woman. He froze where he was, unable to speak or to move. The sight was definitely not something he was used to seeing, but something about it was mesmerizing. None of the three noticed his presence thankfully, so he was able to recover and sneak out before being detected. His father, such a good role model and loving guy, was now getting caught up in his own string of woman after woman. He was turning into something that he didn't like, so Marcos began distancing himself from the man. Soon Guillermo got involved with drugs and started using and abusing at home, eventually trying to tempt Marcos into trying them. He refused and began spending more and more time away from home.

That was when he met José.

Carlos was a handsome Cuban guy with the attitude of that one nice kid everyone got along with. He was well-built for someone of his stature and he didn't mind showing it either. They began hanging out together and getting into small mischief here and there, but nothing too serious. One night he stayed over at Carlos home while his parents were gone and they talked all night. Marcos wasn't sure what happened but at one point he realized that José's hands were all over Marcos and they were liplocked. He didn't necessarily feel sexually attracted to this boy; instead, Carlos was taking time with him and showing him that Marcos meant a lot to him. In some strange reality that made him give in to such a thing, and so Marcos's first time in bed was with another man. Afterwards the two became best friends oddly enough.

Two weeks later he met Naomi through his Carlos (well, technically Carlos knew her through his older brother) and immediatly thought she was a bombshell. She was gorgeous for such a young girl and so well-endowed. But for some reason, he never really viewed her in a sexual manner; instead they became very close friends. They would stay up during the night and talk to each other since they happened to live close by, and occasionally Marcos would try and sneak her into his room so they could just hang out. He knew that she had grown up in a rough household as well so he could empathize with her. They grew closer and eventually became friends with benefits to satiate their own sexual needs. He was seventeen and she was sixteen, but their relationship never grew past sexual for Marcos. It was the same for he and Carlos - there were no advances for either of them minus once or twice on a rare occasion.

By now, Marcos was getting heavily into alcohol and going out to parties and making a fool of himself. He slept with several different woman and he didn't care too much either; that is until he caught gonorrhea. It was very embarrassing and the only person he told was Naomi, but that small event woke him up to reality. He had to steal to get the money to pay for his medical bill since he had no insurance, but he managed to get what he needed and cure it. That was the starting point of him slowing down on his wild life and he began trying to make changes slowly. He still got into some trouble here and there, but nothing very serious. He took on odd jobs to help pay for the home that his dad was not paying for anymore. Guillermo was constantly cussing Marcos for not working harder and making more money to support them when in reality the teen was doing the best he could. He made decent grades and graduated in the top twenty percent of his class, but he still couldn't do enough to please his father.

At age nineteen he got a letter from a friend with a number to call for some "extra cash". It turned out to be a major pornographic studio and they were looking for fit, Hispanic men and were willing to pay "top dollar". Marcos swallowed his pride and applied, pleasing the directors and he landed the job. He appeared in two videos at first and they paid him well; however, each subsequent video he was getting paid less and less. He continued doing these videos under a fake name because he didn't want anyone knowing what he was doing. The only people that knew about this were Naomi, Tequila, José, and the IRS when he had to report that as income on his taxes.

Now, at age 25, he works at a bartender for a nightclub called 4Play. Both Naomi and Tequila are working there as well, Naomi an erotic dancer and Tequila a stripper. They have both backed him up and helped him through the years, so it was ironic that he was now working with them in such a dirty place. The pay was decent and it allowed him to keep up with rent on his dad's house, but by now he was hardly even there. He mostly roamed around and lived out of his car, and he spent a lot of his time at UCLA because of Naomi. In fact, he told many people that he was her ride (knowing fully well that she could drive her own car) but it allowed him to hang around on campus and bum off their internet. It gave him something to do when he was bored after all because he worked late nights. Carlos and he don't talk as much because he is now working in Vegas, but the man will take trips over to visit with Marcos and they'll stay up like old times and talk all night long.

• Marcos drives a Mazda 3 bright blue in color. His friends have made fun of his car before, but he loves it with a passion. He's had the same model for two years now and it making payments on it. He's very attached to his car (as most men are with their cars).

• Marcos is great at making people laugh. He can tell some wild stories and will occasionally do something out of the ordinary to elicit a response out of someone.

• He hates cats. They are of the devil and can rot in hell for eternity. It also doesn't help that he is allergic to them, so please if you value your feline do not share it with Marcos.

• He keeps a pet Golden Poodle named Sam. He's currently two years old and lives at home with Marcos's dad. He can frequently be seen in the park with his dog playing and running with him. The two are quite attached.

• Marcos attempted to get into the "underground" fight scene, but he found out he was no match for those other guys. Since then, he took up lessons with some friends of his who had been taking lessons from a professional. He has gotten fairly proficient with close quarters fighting, but he remains in the dark when it comes to using firearms.
