Dated: April 23, 2012, early noon-ish [/style] It would have occurred to any other person to visit family upon returning home after such a long time, but for the blonde violinist, this wasn't the case. Her family hadn't seen her for a few years, excluding holidays of course, so they could afford to wait a bit longer. She had some mandatory shopping to do, and as she'd already settled into a temporary apartment, it wasn't like she needed a place to stay either. Thus shopping was Alyssa's next priority.
Shopping for her brother, that is.
They had a scheduled meet up, you see, and it was just required that she purchase him the most beautiful, gorgeous, and glamorous dress to try on. He didn't have the title "duchess" for nothing, he had to look the part too. And it was only common courtesy to provide the honored guest with clothes to wear. How long had it been since they'd had a tea party? Much too long as far as Alyssa was concerned, and a new outfit was much too overdue. The only question then had been what to get - a dazzling ball gown? (a little too expensive... ) A simple sun dress? (much too plain) An elegant evening dress? (not really Kittim's style). In the end, obviously, none of her ideas seemed quite right for this type of meeting. It had to be special, but not overly flashy or fancy. Beautiful, gorgeous, glamorous, those were all in the eye of the beholder, and right now the beholder was Alyssa, and Alyssa was not seeing any perfect dresses.
Until she remembered there was a wondrous place called Chinatown, which had to have Asian clothing, which would be the most ideal outfit for Kittim to wear, in every sense of the word. It was unique, and she was sure her brother could work it like he did any other dress that was thrown on him. Maybe she could buy him some chopsticks for his hair too, and ornaments... oh but was his hair long enough for chopsticks? It should be a decent length for a clip of some sort, but full on sticks could be pushing it...
Tapping her chin thoughtfully as she strolled down the street, Chinatown was just coming up. The decorative lanterns were quite a sight, and rather hard to miss as well, even for one with focuses elsewhere. Dropping her arm to clasp her hands together though, Alyssa shoved her thinking aside as soon as she set foot in the festive "town". It was about time she "did" rather than "thought" now wasn't it? She could just browse the various clothing stores and stands, and use her masterful sense of taste to judge what would fit Kittim the best. Yes, that sounded like an incredibly promising plan, actually.
A content smile adorning her face, the blonde violinist began to browse as soon as she spotted a display of colorful, silky garments. "Let's have a look-see at these clothes now..."

He hadn't given it much thought, but she didn't really seem like the type that he would want to settle down with. Come to think of it, he had never really found that special type of girl he would like to date, so he kept romance out of the picture for any and all. It was much more simple to keep up with things that way; besides, Alec had his own things to worry about, like getting hours at work and preparing himself to start college in the fall.
But today, his stomach was growling his name.
Alec rubbed his now full stomach after enjoying some very delicious Asian food. He didn't know exactly what he had eaten because Mei decided to order for him (in Chinese, of course) and she refused to tell him. Later on he would have to hound her, but now he just walked peacefully around looking at everything. He hadn't been through this part of Los Angeles but a few times, and each time he visited it was like another world entirely. Different stalls lined the streets with aromas wafting from nearby restaurants. Vendors had set up their own stands with assorted goods here and there, trying to do business with civillians just passing along. Alec always found the Asian culture to be a unique one, but oddly enough it never made him think of his own heritage. He simply didn't mind not knowing.
Mei drug him around from one place to another, and eventually brought him to a shop that had some very exotic yet beautiful dresses. What were they called...kimonos? No Japanese people wore those. But...did Chinese people wear them too? Alec didn't know, but he saw that these weren't bad for the price. He began looking around out of curiosity, acquiring the shopkeeper's attention rather quickly. She eyed him carefully, probably wondering if he were looking for himself. He simply ignored her and continued his search of nothing in particular, bumping into a young blonde woman who was around his age. That familiar shade of rose adorned his face, making him stand out amongst the vivid colors. "Oh, I-I'm sorry miss. I wasn't paying any attention to you. I just looking at these fabulous dresses and..."
Alec stopped talking. Each time he had gotten into a conversation like this, he said or did something to really fluster him and cause the situation to become much more awkward. The young lady he bumped into was very beautiful, but he felt no romantic attraction to her whatsoever. The polite thing to do would be to introduce himself instead of blubbering along like some idiot. "Um I'm Alec. Again sorry about that." He smiled awkwardly and let a small laugh escape from his lips.

Dated: April 23, 2012, early noon-ish [/style] It had been so long since she'd seen her brother. What if his body had changed, maybe his shoulders got broader or didn't look so feminine anymore? Oh that would be positively disastrous, a catastrophe even. It was almost astounding what a few years could do to some boys, and it was entirely possible that... that her darling younger brother became more manly. If that happened, Kittim wouldn't fit many dresses, and if he didn't fit many dresses, then his role as Duchess was only half complete, and half complete was not enough; enough was complete complete. "Now is not the time to be working myself into a fuss though. I'm sure once I find the perfect dress it will chase all my worries away. Every single one, gone. Poof! Gone." Taking a curt breath, Alyssa focused her eyes and mind back onto the selection of outfits before her.
"Clothing has this thing about it..." she began murmuring to herself, "If the right one shows up it jumps right out an- oof!" Voice pitching higher as the blonde gave a squeak of surprise, tripping into the dresses before recovering her balance in the next instant. Steadying herself by grasping the nearest one, it was a miracle the fabric didn't tear. Behind her, however, came an apologetic voice accompanied by an equally as apologetic face. Her first thoughts were that he looked absolutely adorable.
"I was just looking at these fabulous dresses..."
Alyssa's face practically lit up at these words. A cute face, a positive opinion on these, she agreed, fabulous dresses, this boy was nothing but simply precious. Spinning around and fully facing him, the blonde clasped her hands together as she spoke.
"Oh it's okay, there's no need to-" pausing mid-sentence, she was about to say there was no need to apologize. But... there was a need to apologize honestly, so she shouldn't just pass it off as if that weren't true. "Well... it was an accident, so it's okay!" Flashing him one last smile, the violinist turned around and sifted through the clothes a bit before turning to look back at him.
"Oh, pardon my rudeness, really, but- uhm, Alec was it?" She only paused a moment before confirming that yes, he had said his name was Alec. "Yes, Alec, I wholeheartedly agree these dresses are fabulous. It's refreshing to hear a guy appreciate beauty, no matter what form. And..." Taking a quick peek at the dress closest to her hand, and taking a second to decide that that one too was not fit to be worn by Kittim, she extended a hand towards the other as her focus shifted back to him.
"I'm Alyssa, pleased to meet you Alec."

Seriously Alec? You've got to be the dumbest guy alive when it comes to social etiquette! Inwardly the teen scolded himself, wishing that he could, just once, choose the right wording in an awkward situation. But that would come another day...perhaps. Right now, though, he had to make up for his accident, but how? He had already apologized, and the young girl seemed very upbeat about the whole thing, so there wasn't much he could do. Alec knew he couldn't afford to treat her to anything, but he also felt like he could at least do something for her. After all, that could have been a huge accident!
Instead, he just watched her. This was the first girl he had ever met that could seemingly concentrate simultaneously on two tasks at once. While she spoke to him in a clear, concise thought, she rummaged through some more dresses. Alec honestly didn't know how she did it; sometimes he could multitask, but there was no way he could fully concentrate on both things at once. The crowd was still light so thankfully they weren't holding up a line or anything. She extended her hand out just as she let go of one of the dresses, letting it flow silently back to it's proper place. He greeted her hand with his own, offering a friendly smile. "It's nice to meet you. I see you've been looking through all of these dresses...got a hot date or something?"
And again it struck. Instead of waiting for a response, he quickly corrected himself. "Oh n-not like you...ugh you know what I mean! Why are you looking for a dress, if I may ask?" The flustered teenager turned to face the opposite direction, allowing the beautiful shade of crimson to take over and pass. He always got so flustered when talking to women but he never attributed it to anything more than a social phobia. Funny, though, because he always enjoyed being around people. You've always enjoyed being around people, but you act like a blubbering idiot and can't talk without embarrassing yourself. It's your curse, Alec, and you'll have to learn to live with it forever. Well, he was probably right, but it wasn't going to get him down today. He continued his awkward smile, hoping he hadn't scared the poor girl away with his oddities.
OoC: Sorry for the "meh" post - I'm trying to post while Mom has been talking nonstop and it's throwing me off xD

His speech and mannerisms hinted to that enough, and as she would consider herself quite the socialite, Alyssa couldn't help finding it endearingly cute. Giggling, it was both his words and the way he said them that caused her to do so. A date, just imagining herself going on one was a bit weird. Her past boyfriends were the usual flings in high school, and they never lasted very long. Most of them were scared off somehow too, whether it was because she kept wanting to do something different than they'd planned or she'd been too forward the blonde would never know. But Alec's attempts at recovering from his wording earned more focus than her romantic history.
"I'm flattered you'd think I'd have a hot date," she began, using his original words despite everything. Saying it out loud only brought forth some more giggles though. "But no, I'm not looking for a dress for me, silly! I'm looking for my brother." Asian clothes weren't really her style anyways. Actually, if she tried any of these on, Alyssa didn't see it working out too well. She just didn't have the looks for them, she supposed. But Kittim definitely did. Hair done up with ornaments, a silky, thin dress on, he'd look absolutely fabulous. Once she found the perfect one, seeing it on the real person would be something to definitely look forward too.
"He'd look gorgeous in one of these. It's only a matter of finding the one he'd look best in." Gesturing towards the dresses as they were mentioned, Alyssa was tempted to go back to browsing right away, but even she could see that was a bit rude. Alec was pleasant to talk to, so it wouldn't hurt focusing on conversing a bit longer with him. He even had enough sense to compliment "girls" clothing; that in itself was a rare quality amongst men. Yes, she would actually enjoy taking the time to converse with Alec a bit more. Still smiling as happily as ever, it would be good if he relaxed around her eventually too. Frowning and skulking couldn't possibly speed up that process now could it?

He was trying to ignore the fact that he completely and utterly humiliated himself, but it was hard to do whenever the girl was repeating it all. Instead of blushing, this time he simply turned to look in the other direction, listening to that mocking giggle that she was doing. It wasn't meant to be a mocking laugh, but simply all in good fun. After a second or two, he decided it was probably best to laugh, so he turned back and made eye contact with her, giving her the biggest grin that he could come up with.
But one thing struck him as...well, out of the ordinary. She was looking for a dress for her brother. Most men, as far as Alec knew, didn't wear dresses (that weird part of Los Angeles didn't count). The only feminine guy that Alec knew of was Kittim, and he even thought at first that he was actually a female. But he had to make sure he heard her properly, so what did he do? Ask, of course. "Your brother? He wears dresses? Is he gay or something?" What might've sounded slightly offensive was purely interrogatory to Alec, so he could have possibly portrayed himself as a homophobe. Then again, he couldn't let her think something like that, so he had to correct himself. And quickly, too! "I-I mean that's just not something you hear every day, you know?"
Still confused, he began to look through the dresses and picture the only guy he could think of in them. He had no idea what type of dress would look good on a guy, but he figured that since he was here he could help her out for a bit. "What does he look like? I can help you look if you tell me what size I should be looking for." It was an honest yet odd request, and he hoped that Alyssa wouldn't think him too weird for wanting to help her out. But if her brother was into dressing like a woman, he was pretty sure that an eager male friend wouldn't come across as that strange.
Just then, his phone vibrated with a text message. He checked it, noting that it was his friend. He read the text silently to himself, making a note to reply to it in a bit. She was going to go check out a sale at one of the local shops and she wanted to meet back in an hour or so. That would give Alec plenty of time to chat and make a new friend. Slowly he returned his phone to the front right pocket of his pants, tucking it in gently so that it wouldn't fall and break. OoC: Is he gay or something? /shot

Dated: April 23, 2012, early noon-ish [/style] Her brother's interests were always a bit of a question when other people were concerned. Everyone always acted as if it were some great anomaly and got that strange look in their face, but Alyssa had learned to ignore it by now. What her brother liked was what he liked, and technically it was partially her fault anyways. So it was also her duty to defend him and protect him from any degrading comments, right? Which was exactly what she usually did. There was a small hope in her that wished Alec would silently accept it, but she supposed it was a bit hard to just "accept", especially when it turned out he didn't.
At the very least though, Alec didn't sound convicting as he asked if her brother was gay. Nor did he feel the need to shout out how it was weird or strange. The slightly defensive stance the blonde was already starting to take, however, loosened as her dress buddy quickly tried to recover himself. Smiling, Alyssa was more than relieved. He'd asked, but it wasn't degrading in the slightest! Her character judgments weren't that bad after all, and her choice in potential friends was still top notch.
"You know, he might be," she replied, sounding a bit inquisitive herself. "I haven't seen Kittim- oh that's my brother's name you know, but yeah I haven't seen him for years. His preferences might have changed, but I don't think he was. This was when he was still in high school though, so obviously the real world must have changed him somehow." It only took a second for her to realize she must have rambled off. "Oh sorry about that! I got a little carried away there..." Scratching the back of her neck as she smiled apologetically, "That tends to happen when I talk about my brother."
As Alec moved to browse the dresses as well, the musician observed him curiously for awhile. She had an inkling of what he might be doing but it was best not to assume before told... which only left staring. Though there was only so much of that she could do before she outright spoke her mind. Luckily, it never had to come to that, because he spoke first.
"What Kittim looks like... well hm. I was going by what I thought looked best, and if it seemed too big or too small. But Alec's never seen him so... hm." Placing a finger on her chin, Alyssa's eyes drifted towards the ceiling.
"Actually... I'm not too sure of my brother's size. I think he's a pretty slim person though, so something in the small-medium range would work. He's blond though! But his hair is more yellow than mine, and obviously much shorter. Long enough for some kind of ornament, if you could picture that. I was thinking red would look stunning on him, but I've kind of been winging it. I've been waiting for the perfect one to jump out at me, but obviously so far... no luck." Vigor to find that perfect dress rather renewed, the violinist went right back into the search for a dress.
"And thank you for offering to help me, Alec! It was really nice," she commented idly as her eyes scanned the vibrant patterns sewn onto the clothes.

Just two days ago he had met someone named Kittim that, ironically enough, had been involved with the whole ordeal of the Anaheim Convention Center. His mind raced for a moment while his pulse quickened, trying to put all of this information together at one time. She also continued to explain that he was blonde, and just like the other boy that he met, they sounded like the same person. As a reflex, Alec dropped the current dress he was looking at and stared at Alyssa, completely oblivious to her words of gratitude.
"T-that's your brother!?!? Oh god I'm so sorry!" He wanted to apologize to her about what happened because he heard about a man getting severely hurt. In his mind, he assumed it to be Kittim since he ran into the blonde at the hospital after being all banaged up. He wanted to hug her and tell her that Kittim was going to be okay and that he seemed like a nice guy. He wanted to make sure she knew that everything was going to be alright. But then a thought struck him - did she even know what happened? Seeing as how she mentioned not seeing him in a whle, she probably didn't have a clue. It wasn't Alec's place to tell her, so when he felt the flush of red on his face appear, he tried to correct what he was saying only to stumble back over again.
"W-well you s-see what I meant w-w-was...Oh damnit h-here I go again!" Alec stopped for a minute, breathing and collecting himself. He knew that Alyssa was likely to think him a madman, or at least someone with double-digit IQ. A few seconds later and some fresh air seemed to make things much easier, and so he began speaking once more. "Sorry my mind is running at fifty miles per hour. I didn't mean for it to come out like that. I met him yesterday and we actually had coffee together. He seems like a really nice guy. And now that I have a visual, I can help picking out a dress with a better idea in mind!"
Well you managed to worm out of that one...maybe. Now let's just hope she doesn't catch on...
Alec bent down and picked up the dress he dropped, making sure that there were no dirt stains or anything on it. The young man brushed it off and returned it to a rack before making eye contact with Alyssa, smiling like nothing had ever happened. His face read "Whoops" but his smile meant "Don't tell anyone I did that please."

But if she did... "Im so sorry!" was not and never would be one of them. The dresses weren't of any interest anymore. Her golden eyes were fixed solely on Alec, and all the cheer left her face.
"I'm sorry... No one says that unless something's wrong. Which means something's wrong with Kittim and I didn't know. You say sorry when someone dies, don't you? Kittim isn't dead. He can't be dead. I swear I talked to him a few weeks ago...! B-But that's a long time, isn't it? A really, really long time..." Any other words were lost on her. She missed Alec's mention of having coffee and the dress slipping out of his hand. Any other thoughts had left her mind and everything escaped her notice.
Suddenly, she grasped the male's shoulders and looked him straight in the eyes. "Alec. Why did you say sorry? Something happened to Kittim, right? Something bad... he better not be dead. Tell me he's not dead or... or badly hurt..." If something happened she should have known! Someone should have called her or told her, then she wouldn't be wasting her time lounging around and buying dresses. She'd head straight to wherever her brother was! If just one hair on his head was touched, Alyssa didn't want to be the one kept in the dark!
"Please tell me what happened to my brother." Jaw tightening, the blonde didn't want to imagine what kind of answer she'd get.

Well, something did happen, but Alec didn't know how bad it was really. Kittim didn't talk much about what happened, but considering the number of casualties and the number of people that ended up at the hospital, he was likely to suffer from some at least psychological trauma. He couldn't let her assume the worst, though, so he was going to have to speak up and tell her what happened, or at least what little bit that he knew about.
"Oh...I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you worry. No he's fine really I think. Did you hear about the Anaheim Convention Center accident here recently?" Alec moved away from the dress rack and threw one hand in his pocket with the other against the wall to prop himself up, maintaining eye contact with Alyssa. "Well, basically they're saying it was some sort of terrorist attack or freak accident or something - I honestly don't know. I won't go into detail about some of the things that I saw because quite honestly I still have a hard time believing in them. I will tell you that Kittim was there, and I met him at the hospital the next day. Other than maybe some bruises here and there, he's probably just fine. We went to go grab something to eat and have some coffee but he wasn't very vocal about it. You may want to talk to him to make sure everything is okay."
He shifted his position for a moment, wiping the small bead of sweat from his forehead. The weight of everything left his shoulders, but now it was dumped on Alyssa. He didn't want her worrying over something that she probably couldn't do much about, but he wasn't one to tell a lie either. "It was definitely...traumatic. So just talk to him about it - everything should be alright. I'm sorry for dumping all of this on you at once because you probably should have heard it from Kittim himself." Now he was sure that there would be tears in her eyes. Alyssa might even turn and slap him for saying such horrible things. But he wasn't going to try and fool himself with false messages and secrets.

That was much easier said than done. All of Alyssa's thoughts were centered on how Alec's answer had to be a good one, one where Kittim was completely fine and she was just looking too deeply into the situation. That's what always happened in movies; someone overreacts and then soon finds out it was nothing at all. That had to be the case. Kittim was fine. Kittim was fine. Kittim had to be fine.
The moment the dark haired began speaking, the blonde's thoughts seemed to instantly clear. "See? He's fine. I had nothing to worry about. It really was just-" The concern had faded to relief, but soon it grew to stick, in a stiff and unpleasant way. Anaheim Covention Center accident? No, she hadn't heard anything. Terrorist? A possible terrorist attack was what her brother had been in? And he was fine? That didn't make sense! Was he okay or not?
Swallowing, her throat had gone completely dry. Her brother had been in the hospital, and she heard nothing. The conditions Alec described didn't seem bad at all though, and Alyssa found a bit of comfort in that. Furthermore, they went out to eat and for coffee... But despite all that, worry gnawed at the violinist's mind. Kittim had been hurt, maybe traumatized, and there was nothing that could quell her anxiety over those few facts.
She could even feel the tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "No... No y-you... I'm glad you told me it all. I don't think it would have helped me to drag it out for longer than it should. I haven't seen Kittim for years so..." Her voice trailed off for a moment, and her gaze scorched the ground. So what? She hadn't seen him for years but... she still should have known. Did no one think to tell her? The guilt that she hadn't actually bothered contacting her family yet, thinking of meeting Kittim first, became more prominent than ever. Maybe if she'd done that instead...
"Hearing it now is better than later. Maybe I would have preferred it from Kittim but... I'm not sure how I'd react if I heard this when he was right there where I could see him and make sure myself he was okay." More like she would never let him go. Even now, all Alyssa wanted to do was call Kittim and rush straight to where he was, but for once she controlled herself. She could stay here, buy a perfect dress, and, well, there was a certain amount of guilt involved regarding just leaving Alec here to run off too. "Think of it this way. When I see Kittim, no matter what state he's in, he'll love a new dress. It'll make him happy. And that's all I'd want, so I need to find one."
Turning her attention fully back the the rack of said clothes, the female began her search with more vigor than ever. "If you could help me Alec, please try and find the perfect dress. It'd make Kittim happy if I bought it, so when I see him... it'll be something I can do." Clothes were the only "something" available she could do, after all.

Alec knew all too well that he was treading on quicksand; one false mood and everything was going to suck him in. Rather than having a young, pretty girl knocking the daylights out of him through mounds of tears, Alec took a more cautious approach and stayed his distance. In fact, as they were discussing the important events, he continued his search for that "perfect" dress. Alec had no idea where to even start because, well, he had never picked out a dress for anyone (much less another guy). It was awkward in a sense, but he knew it fit Kittim well. After all, now things made a bit more sense, right?
All luck was gone once Alec knew he broke her. It took all he could do from letting the emotion to get to him as well. This was something he shouldn't have intruded on, but after the information had been leaked he knew Alyssa would never forgive him if he were to have backed out. Still, he couldn't help but to feel guilty for throwing her on an emotional roller coaster like that. It was always characteristic of him to say something inappropriate yet he continued to mentally scold himself for this mistake. Perhaps she wouldn't hold it against him for too long...
...but that was when he heard her cheer up a bit. With a newfound resolve, Alec looked back over and gave her a warm smile. "Let's do this!" Putting all his focus into the task at hand, the young man broadened his search to another rack on the adjacent wall. It wasn't long before he found three different dresses, all about the same size but in different colors. One was a lilac kimono-like dress with a beautiful sash. The next he found was an Egyptian blue that looked like it dazzled in the sunlight. The last he found was a deep ruby shade of red and it wasn't quite as low cut as the other two. Each had their own unique twist of Asian influence from the design of the fabric itself all the way to small jewels that adorned the dresses.
"Hey I found three over here that look really nice. Tell me what you think!" He secretly hoped she wasn't going to be upset at him, knowing fully well that wasn't going to hold a grudge. Sometimes he just overthought these things, but it would be much easier once they could decide on a dress, and it would mean even more if he was the one to find that perfect one.

[style=padding-top: 246px; color: #f7efd0; font-family: georgia; font-size: 11px; font-style: italic; text-transform: uppercase; text-align: center; line-height: 5px;]Words: 000 Tags: Alec Dated: April 23rd [/style] "This one doesn't look right. Kittim wouldn't look as fabulous in this one. Blond and yellow... I'm not sure that'd work with this case." Dress after dress was no no no. None of these seemed perfect. Maybe her mood was affecting her judgement. Nothing was right, there was nothing good to be seen in this, there were no perfect dresses. She moved on to the next one nonetheless.
A distraction? Maybe that was what this was. Alyssa didn't want to linger on her growing doubt regarding her brother's condition. Clothes seemed to be the handiest excuse, so she went for it. However it obviously wasn't working as well as hypothetical her had hoped.
The shing of hangers sliding across the metal bars that suspended them consistently sounded.
"Hey I found these three that look really nice!"
Turning her head at the call, Alyssa blinked as she was met with the delighted and excited face of her recently encountered friend. He seemed so upbeat... it was almost weird. She'd successfully managed to get herself down in the dumps, and looking at a happy person... what a contrast. "But that's usually me." It wasn't unknown to the blonde that her attitude was a bit more enthusiastic than others, but now seeing the opposite happening was just... well strange.
It forced her to smile though. The ironic switch in roles seemed so silly she couldn't keep feeling gloomy. Walking over to Alec to take a look at these "really nice" looking dresses, Alyssa found she didn't have to force the smile and excitement as much as she'd thought.
"Really? Oh you have to show me right away!" Glancing over the selections he'd made, the violinist was pleasantly surprised when one finally did pop out at her; made her think "This is it!" Without hesitation, Alyssa reached for the beautiful scarlet one (although honestly they were all beautiful, just not all suited for Kittim). "This one definitely. I can feel it." Hugging the dress to her person, somehow it relieved her that even though this wasn't exactly how she'd envisioned her shopping trip, a perfect dress still arose. It wasn't even found by her but- oh maybe that was for the best. Alec dampened her mood, she'd admit, however he'd cheered her up in the end anyways.
"Thank you so much. I'll be sure to credit this finding to you when I give it to Kittim." Shooting the dark haired male an appreciative smile, Alyssa headed straight for the store clerk. Paying, and getting her purchase boxed in a simple white cardboard one, she didn't think it was right to just walk out. She had to say goodbye to Alec, out of courtesy if anything.
"I hope we'll see each other again, and I suppose if not you could run into my brother sometime. I'll make sure he says a hello to you for me if that happens!" Maybe she'd leave again to put on concerts before she could see her new friend once more, but as she said, there was still Kittim. And swept by the mood of the moment, she'd somehow allowed her thoughts to take a U turn and assume everything was okay. Which wasn't too bad. Especially if she didn't fully notice.
And with that, Alyssa took her leave of the shop, and Chinatown too.

Words: xxx Tags: Alyssa Dated: 14th of April, around noon It wasn't much, but Alec forced himself to be positive. And it turned out extremely well! Alyssa was able to find that one perfect dress while Alec made a new friend. He secretly wanted to hug her and tell her that everything would be alright because Kittim would be happy to see her. He would definitely make sure that she knew he was alright and would brushmoff the entire event like it really wasn't a big deal. Deep down Alec felt kind of bad because while they both made it out alive and physically alright, there was likely to be some sort of emotiomal trauma. That was something the young boy couldn't fix because he had his own mental health issues to be concerned eith.
Seeing Alyssa really helped to brighten his day. She paid quickly and ran back over to thank Alec. He couldn't help but to feel his cheeks flush when she said her goodbyes, feeling slightly guilty about the news while unsure how to handle his successmin finding a dress for another male. Regardless he would take this as a sign of great things to come. Besides, how often was something like this going to happen anyway?
Alec spoke his goodbyes as well before pulling out his phone. He knew that it was unlikely he would reach his friend but he had to try. A guy like him standing im Chinatowm looking a dresses alone didn't exactly scream heterosexual. He was sure that he stood out so much, but so long as he could figure out where she was, he would be just fine. He exited the shop with phone in hand, searching for that familiar face through the mobs of people.
