Considering how much she loved overworking herself and having absolutely no free time during the day, it was really no surprise at all that Julie had joined the Undergrad Mathematics Students Association. It was a good way to meet other math majors and get to know professors, after all, what wasn't to like about it? Besides, it was nice knowing other people were just as hopeless as she was when trying to figure out what to do with themselves after graduation; no one had any real clue how to apply their major to the real world, other than accounting or any number of other desk jobs. They were the obvious choices, but she had long since decided she wasn't interested in any of them. She was not going to be trapped behind a desk, doing other people's taxes for them, thank you very much. And she definitely wasn't going to become a teacher, so...
She was essentially screwed.
Just kidding! She wasn't particularly worried; she still had time to figure things out. Not a lot of time, but enough. It was just nice knowing that she wasn't the only one. She was probably going to end up in a job that had nothing to do with her major anyway, which she didn't mind in the slightest. So long as she wasn't a paper pusher or working minimum wage, she'd be happy.
Getting back to UMSA, at the moment Julie was alone in the meeting room. And what important mathematical, algebraic work was she doing while everyone was out? Why, waiting for her nails to dry after painting them a lovely shade of blue, of course! What else would she be doing? Seriously though, she didn't have anything better to do; she was only waiting there to assist anyone looking for last minute help. And since it was the end of the semester and things were winding down and wrapping up, she hadn't seen a single person pass through since she got there. The most exciting thing that had happened so far was when she smudged the paint on her thumb.
She was frowning at it now, trying to see if it still needed fixing. She came prepared for the waiting- she had nail polish and some book Colin had recommended for her. To be honest, she probably wasn't going to hang around much longer; this was about as exciting as the literature class she had had to take in her freshman year. She'd wait, like, 10 more minutes, then she was out of there. It was a beautiful day out, after all, and she really didn't have to be stuck inside, watching paint dry and thinking about all the other things she could be doing instead of waiting around. If anyone needed someone to hold their hand while they added 2 plus 2, they were going to be royally screwed, and she didn't care in the slightest.

Tsuyu walked down the hallway in the direction of the math rooms and offices all the while berating himself. He was a failure, a loser to the Nth degree. How the hell had he gone through so many months of his college career without realizing that UCLA had an Undergraduate Mathematics Students Association? He was a math major for goodness sake. He should be a part of this club and advancing his math skills. Then again, that might explain why he hadn’t heard of it before. Unlike some people, didn’t need help with mathematics and therefore was not recommended for tutoring. It was only last week when his professor off handedly mentioned the association that he even knew it existed.
So that day, he went home and looked up this mysterious Math Students Association to discover that it was basically a math club. And that not only did it offer tutoring but that anyone who even wanted a future after graduating should be a part of the association to get to know the professors, alumni, and employers that kept an eye on them. Needless to say, Tsuyu made it his goal to join this association no matter what the cost.
When he finally reached the room that the meetings were held in, he opened the door to come face to face with a petite blonde and the smell of nail polish. It was rather obvious that the source of the nail polish came from the blonde because one, she was the only person in the room. And two, she was inspecting her polished, blue nails.
”This is the math association right? Are you here because you need tutoring?” The words were out his mouth before he even really thought about what he had said. Oh well. It was probably true anyway. The girl looked to be the type if she was painting her nails in the middle of a classroom.
”Oh and is that Aruba blue nail polish. My roommate mentioned that she wanted a bottle of that.” Tsuyu continued off handedly as he walked into the room. ”So do you know where the members of the UMSA might be, miss?”

She was screwing the top of the nail polish bottle back on when the door opened, nearly causing her to spill nail polish over the place in surprise. So much for taking off early; Julie managed to stop herself from sighing out loud, before glancing up at the boy with pale hair who had entered the room. Oh well, at least she wouldn't be bored anymore, right? Flashing him a smile, Julie began to get to her feet, saying, "Hi there! Sorry about the polish, I know it reeks-"
Wait.
What did he just say?
The blonde paused, quirking an eyebrow at the young man. Wasn't that a bit presumptuous to assume she was there for tutoring, rather than think she might be a club member herself? Then again, she was fairly used to this by now. Girls majoring in math were a rare occurence in and of itself, and it didn't help that she was blonde and pretty and just screamed 'STEREOTYPE.' She was a little sick of being used to this, though. Blatant rudeness was just uncalled for, and she had half a mind to give him a snarky comment in reply.
Sadly, she was supposed to be polite, so she'd just have to grit her teeth and bear with it. This shouldn't take too long, right? She'd just help him with his algebra homework or whatever it was he had come in here for, then she'd be out of there and on her way to do better things. So she let out a breath, smiled again, and began to reply, an angry twitch in her cheek, "Not exactly-"
She paused, distracted by his comment about her nails. "Err, yeah. It's one of my favorites." She was pretty sure it was Aruba, anyway. She hadn't actually paid too much attention to the name when she bought it, woops. She'd just take his word for it. Getting back on topic so she could get this over with and get the heck out of there, she answered his question, a slightly smug tone leaking into her voice as she replied, "Right, about that- I'm a member of UMSA. My name's Julie, can I help you with anything?"
Here for tutoring YEAH, RIGHT.

Tsuyu really needed to learn to get a verbal filter because asking about someone’s nail polish color was not necessary at the moment. Well at least he was right. The nail polish was Aruba blue and he was supposed to pick up a bottle for Eve today. It was serendipitous that this girl had a bottle of the same shade otherwise the white haired male would have most likely forgotten. He should probably ask her where she got it. He didn’t see any at Walgreens which means he might actually have to go to a specialty store.
Tsuyu was a bit taken aback when he looked at the girl’s face but he was not going to stand down. He wasn’t sure what he did to deserve the raised eyebrow. He didn’t say or do anything so why was he on the receiving end of a sassy attitude? Tsuyu could only match her questionable (and was it just him or did she look angry?) with a raised eyebrow of his own before continuing into the room.
”You’re a member of the UMSA?” Tsuyu asked, a bit surprised. So she wasn’t here for tutoring. ”Well that was unexpected,” he said under his breath. ”Nice to meet you Julie,” He smiled and held out a hand. ”I’m Tsuyu. I’m a math major and I was looking to join the UMSA.”

"That's right~" Oh, she enjoyed the surprised expression on his face a little too much. He muttered something under his breath, but she chose to ignore it, instead busying herself with slipping the bottle of nail polish back into her bag. It probably wasn't anything she should worry about- at least, she certainly hoped not. So she got to knock the guy down a peg, there was absolutley no reason for her to lose her temper. (Yet.)
She rose slightly out of her seat to shake his hand, though for an instant she considered using her nails as an excuse not to. But that would just make her an awful person. Then again, she was an awful person. "Nice to meet you too." I'm sure. She flashed him a grin before sitting back down again. "Ah, you were looking to join?" So late in the year? Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. That was unexpected. Still, it was never too late to join; they didn't have meetings over the summer, but there were get-togethers when school was out. All he'd have to do was fill out a form and he'd be an official UMSA member!
An evil glimmer entered her eyes.
Still, she could mess around with him a little, right?
Julie took her time answering him, folding her hands on the desk. "Hmm, well Yuyu, there's a couple of things to consider before joining the League of Math Nerds." She gave him an entirely innocent smile as she looked up at him, before launching into an Explanation On How to Join UMSA™.
"You have to have a 4.0 GPA and at least 2 professor recommendations, as well as a 2 page essay about what math means to you. And that's just to get past the screening process! You then have to undergo an interview with one of the UMSA officers, which will involve a timed math test that can have questions from trigonometry to probability. If your interviewer feels like you did well, they'll pass you and you'll be granted membership!"
You could practically smell the bullshit from a mile away.
"If you're still interested in joining, I can answer any questions you might have!" She had an all too mischevious look on her face, but the smile never wavered as she waited for his reply. She probably could have been out of there by now if she just told him how to join, but that would be no fun. If she couldn't have fun at other's expense, what was the point of even interacting with other people? She might as well hole herself inside with Colin all day and marathon Doctor Who, like she'd been meaning to for a while now.

Tsuyu eyed the bottle of nail polish as she slipped it back into the bag. He had forgotten until this moment that his roommate had asked him to pick up that exact shade for her. He would have to pick it up at the store on his way home. Perhaps he could ask Julie where she bought it. It would certainly make his life a lot easier. He really didn’t feel like having to go to the mall or the makeup store for one bottle of nail polish.
The white haired male eyed the blonde warily. He may not be as smart as some people but he could certainly figure out the most basic of human actions. There was something in Julie’s voice and demeanor that bothered him. It was almost like she had it out for him. What did he ever do. This was their first meeting. Had he really pissed her off in the span of a few seconds? Well in that case, she needed to get over it because Tsuyu did not feel like having to deal with attitude today.
”Yuyu?” Tsuyu asked with a concerned expression on his face. Oh yes, she definitely had it out for him. He only hoped that she never realizes that his name is actually a woman’s name and not a man’s name. Although he doubted she would find out since it was unlikely that she spoke Japanese. ”What kind of nickname is that?”
After listening to Julie’s explanation of exactly how to get into the USMA, Tsuyu could feel himself getting a little irritated. Just a little bit. He doubted that those were really the requirements to get into the club. What kind of bullshit was that? But it was not like him to ever turn down a challenge. If this was how she wanted to play then he accepted.
”That’s it? I could have all the required materials by tomorrow,” Tsuyu said with a smile. He could get his professors’ recommendations tomorrow morning during class and the paper he could bullshit tonight. The GPA, well…. He would manage that somehow (Damn humanities requirements messing up his 4.0). ”In fact,” Tsuyu continued. ”I’ll bet I could pass that test right now easily.” He really did not know when to shut up did he?

She met his question with a beaming smile, a Cheshire cat's grin as she replied, in a lilting tone, "The best kind of nickname, Yuyu!" In the world of emoticons, Julie was currently a colon capital d. She was having a little too much fun messing with the poor boy; he really hadn't done anything to deserve her tormenting him. He was just in the right place at the right time- or the right place at the wrong time, depending on who you asked. A bored Julie was a dangerous one, and now that she had someone to play with she wasn't going to stop any time soon. Which was a shame for Tsuyu, really. He should have made a run for it when he had the chance, but how was he supposed to know?
Her eyebrows practically skyrocketed off her face, however, when he mentioned that he could have everything by the next day. Oh really now? "On such short notice? Wow, that's something." She remarked dryly, her chin in the palm of her hand as she tilted her head to one side. That was something alright. Something fishy. She'd be the first to admit a 2 page essay was nothing to a college student with a 5 hour energy drink and a few hours before the deadline, but most professors didn't appreciate being given such short notice about reccs. Especially with it being near the end of the semester now. Either he had extremely benevolent professors, or just so happened to have a few recommendation letters lying around.
A downright evil grin spread across her face. He had to have realized by now that she was purposefully fucking with him, there was no way he couldn't. And he was practically asking for it at this point, so he really couldn't complain if she--- "Oh, well in that case, you surely wouldn't mind doing a few problems for me."
The blonde got up out of her seat without waiting for his answer, walking across the tile to the front of the classroom where the whiteboard was. She found a marker and uncapped it, but before she wrote down a single number she paused. Why not make this fun, right? It wasn't like this was a serious test or anything anyway- this was all completely fabricated off the top of her head. After all, all he needed to do was fill out a form and he'd be done, there was no need for any of this- so there was no reason she couldn't make a bet, right?
Julie turned back towards Tsuyu, smiling as she asked, "How about we make this more interesting? If you can't solve every problem I give you, you have to do whatever I say for a day." It was the oldest trick in the book, but it was effective, and hey, just think of all the possibilities! A whole day where she could just goof off and let someone else do all her work for her, what a dream. And with the added bonus of making an underclassman miserable? How could she possibly resist? She frowned however; she had to make this fair, after all. "And if you can... I don't know, what do you want if you solve all of them?"

Was there any point to this charade? Well obviously yes. Tsuyu’s pride was on the line and he would be damned if he backed down from this challenge. Okay so there was no real point to this other than making a total ass out of himself but who knows. Perhaps if he impressed her enough, she would let him in. Or at the very least tell him the real requirements to joining the USMA. Now that he thought about it, Julie was also in the USMA. If he joined then that would mean he would have to deal with her on a regular basis. The thought made him wince a bit but if the rumors about the USMA were true, it would be worth it. In a few years he’ll be out of here and making a fortune somewhere thanks to the clubs connections.
Tsuyu watched Julie carefully. She was clearly enjoying this. He still wondered what he had done to deserve her scorn. Let’s see he had met her today. He introduced himself. And then Tsuyu had noticed the slight annoyance in her voice as they continued speaking. Maybe she was just a bitch. He couldn’t say that to her face though. He needed to be in her good graces even if it killed him.
"Oh, well in that case, you surely wouldn't mind doing a few problems for me."
”Of course not,” Tsuyu replied mirroring the blonde’s smile. He was great at math. Anything that he did not know could be figured out. That was what proofs are for. ”I would be happy to do show you what I can do.”
He was not expecting her to turn around and offer him a bet. Really though? Do what she wanted for a day? That was a bit uncreative but if that was what she wanted, he’d be hard pressed to deny her. Tsuyu had no expectation of losing anyway. He was confident that he would win this easily. If someone like her could get in, why couldn’t he?
”I accept. As for what I want in return…? I want your nail polish - the bottle that you were using before.” He didn’t care if it was weird or if he could have asked for more. Getting the nail polish would save him time and money. ”So what kind of problems will I be doing today?” he asked with a smug smile. ”Calculus? Trigonometry? Statistics? Perhaps a combination of them?”

Her nail polish? Really? To her credit, Julie didn't even wrinkle her nose at his request; he could have asked for a lot worse. She supposed she should be lucky he wasn't asking her to do something absolutely awful, like lick his cat or whatever. Now the thought of that really did almost make her wrinkle her nose, but she resisted. Instead, she nodded rather solemnly, before shooting him a cheerful grin.
Really, this was going to be too easy.
"Great, you've got a deal!" Turning back to the whiteboard, she paused, her lips pursed as she thought this over carefully. Now what would be a good question to get him stumped on right at the get go? Julie chewed on the inside of her cheek for a moment, before a light bulb went off and she smiled a little too deviously. Oh yes, this would be good.
Neatly writing out the problem on the board, she hummed before replying to his question, airily, "Stats." Julie had always found the story behind this particular story fascinating. She had happened to stumble across it while doing some homework for another class, and could never really get it out of her mind since. Long story short, a Berkeley student in 1939 accidently solved two unsolvable problems. She smirked slightly to herself as she read over the problem, making sure she wasn't leaving anything out. If he could solve this, he could have all the nail polish he wanted.
Turning back to face Tsuyu, she flashed him a grin, taking a step away from the board so he could see what she had written on the board. "There you go, first one's up! Take your time~" Was that an evil glint in her eyes, or was that just the lighting? Either way, she strode back across the tile floor, and handed him the marker with a flourish and a sunny smile. And with that, she plopped herself down on a desk and waited for the show to begin. And may the best man win!

Julie, to her credit, did not even bat an eyelash at his bluff. He had hoped that perhaps his words might sway her, even if only a little bit, and she would tell him how to really join the club. Oh well. He could settle for impressing her with his fantastic math skills. Then they could all continue on with their lives and he was sure to have a career in the future. Tsuyu just made sure to keep his smile on his face. He had to wonder what would happen if the two ever got together to play poker together. The world would probably implode.
Tsuyu stood behind the blonde and watched her write out the problem with perfect handwriting. He wanted to point out that 'it is said smarter people have messier handwriting because they think faster' just to spite her but was somehow able to hold his tongue. He had the feeling that saying that would push her off the deep end which could spell trouble for him.
Tsuyu only matched Julie's flourish with his own flamboyant actions. He took the whiteboard marker from her and began to write out the necessary steps to solve the problem. The problem did not look that difficult. It was definitely stats and looked to be a proof. Tsuyu did like math but proofs were never really his thing. He would never tell her that though. So long as he could solve this problem, he would be free and save himself a trip to the make up store.
As he wrote out his notes and began to work his way through the proof, he realized that he had a problem on his hands. It looked simple but then the numbers became a mess and all work just stopped. No matter how he thought of it, nothing seemed to work. Every math problem had an answer, even if the answer was 0. So how was it that this problem just stopped?
Tsuyu frowned and stared at the question some more, hoping that something might stick out to him. Maybe he'd have an epiphany if he stared hard enough. He would do anything at this point as long as he showed no fear. He would not let Julie, of all people, win. His pride wouldn't let him. Sadly the more he stared, the more confused he became. What now?

Okay, to be fair, it was cute how he thought he could solve the problem right away. Julie sat perched on top of a desk, chin in her hands as she watched him write out the steps to solve the problem on the board. It was taking a lot of self control not to so much as snicker, but she managed to keep a straight face. After all, it'd give her away if she started laughing now- then he'd definitely know something was up.
Patience, patience, it was only a matter of time...
But she couldn't help but crack a grin when he finally realized he was working in circles. Ah, yes, there we go. Tsuyu paused, staring at his work and the problem on the board, as if waiting to be struck by inspiration. She bit her lip to stop herself from laughing; really, this was too easy. She half-wondered if she should feel bad- maybe she should tell him all he had to do was fill out a form? Nah, this was more fun.
Besides, he really shouldn't have trusted her to begin with. Sliding off the desk, the blonde walked with a skip in her step up to the board, pausing next to him as she asked, a little too innocently, "Problem, Yuyu~?" A little mocking never hurt anyone. There was no way you could tell just by looking at her, between her smile and her tone, but there was just something about the look in her eyes that screamed she was laughing at him. Turning her gaze on the board, she shook her head, as if disappointed in what she saw. "Oh, woopsies, that's no good!"
Shout out to Tsuyu for not throwing in the towel yet. Although, if he was already stuck at this point, then he had to be close to 50 shades of done by now. He was going to call it quits soon, and when he did Julie would be more than happy to reveal that she had been making shit up the whole time. The best part of all though was that he couldn't even get mad about the problem she picked; it was a legitimate math question with an actual solution, and just because she made up everything else about how to join the club didn't mean their bet was invalid.
Julie spun around without another word and plopped back down on her desk, a shark's grin on her lips. "Let me know when you give up~" She remarked cheerily, swinging her legs back and forth underneath her as she waited. It wouldn't be much longer now!

Tsuyu stared. He stared and he stared and, as he looked his straight at his enemy, he was reviewing his work and trying to figure out where he went wrong. His work up until this point did not have any errors that he could see. Perhaps there was some sort of trick to it? Even then, problems are straightforward. The manipulation of numbers partners creativity and logic. With this, even problems with no solutions should yield some sort of answer. Unfortunately, no matter how he flipped the equation or how he changed it, every move he made led to a dead end. What was worse was that he was stuck in the middle of the equation. The MIDDLE. When was the last time something like this had happened to him? It had to have been years. At this age and experience level, he could usually get to the end of the problem whether or not the answer was wrong or right was left to be determined. But to be stuck halfway without a clue how to proceed! This was way worse then getting a wrong answer.
Tsuyu was getting nervous now. But not because he might not get into the math club. Oh no, he had forgotten all about Julie and the club and that stupid bet he made. This was much more serious than that. He could not solve or even begin to fathom what he needed to prove this and honestly, it was driving him insane. The question in front of him was burning his brain and causing him to rethink every step, every theorem, and every method he could try. Where had he gone wrong?
The sound of Julie's taunting voice made him jump slightly when he realized that she was still there and that he had not moved the whiteboard marker in a while. He grimaced as her voice and her words grated his ears. "There's no problem," he muttered in response. His words did not sound convincing even to himself. Shit, he was screwed.
Tsuyu stared at the problem for just a bit longer, his irritation gradually rising the more he tried. He took a deep breathe before unleashing a string of Japanese insults at the problem. He turned back to Julie, a frown on his face. "Dammit, fine." He capped the marker and replaced it on the whiteboard. "I- I give up. I lose. Don't worry, I keep my promises. I won't join the club and I'll do what you say for a day. Just tell me how to solve this proof. I've never seen this in my life and I'll be damned if I don't solve it the next time I see it."

Patience, patience... okay, she was tired of waiting. She let out a frustrated huff. Hurry up and give up already, please. She wanted to leave already. She took out her phone and flicked through her Twitter feed, idly favoriting a few of Zac Efron's latest comments. He was so cute, god. How could anyone hate him? Colin made fun of her for liking him, but honestly he wasn't really one to talk, all things considered-
A sudden litany of foreign words exploded from her buddy Tsuyu, and Julie glanced up with a cocked eyebrow. Oh, had he finally reached his breaking point? A vicious smirk spread across her lips as, at long last, he admitted defeat. About time, too! She was pretty sure her butt had fallen asleep, with all the sitting she had been doing.
"There there Yuyu, better luck next time." She said oh so sympathetically, hopping down off her seat and slipping her phone back into her bag. "And I'd be happy to solve the problem for you~" She gave him a perfectly sunny smile as she stepped up next to him at the front of the room, taking the marker out of his hand and moving up to the board. Oh, don't get her wrong- ordinarily, she'd never know how to solve a problem like this! Thankfully she had memorized the solution a while ago- just in case she ever wanted to impress someone for whatever reason. It was a fun trick to play on other people.
With that in mind, she carelessly used her hand to erase his work, not seeming to mind the black marker stains left on her palm. Tsuyu had actually gotten most of the work right- up to a point. It was there that she started, writing out the rest of the steps and pausing only momentarily to recall what came next. Finally, she recapped the marker and placed it back on the board, turning to grin at Tsuyu. "Simple, no?" she asked sweetly, her face a mask of pure innocence.
Stretching her arms over her head, she continued to say with a lilt, "Seriously, don't worry about it too much." For half a second, she seriously considered revealing the truth- that the problem had been nearly impossible to solve until 70 years ago, but decided against it in the end. Maybe she'd tell him later. Maybe. But for now... she stepped behind the desk at the front of the room, and opened a drawer to grab a sheet of paper off the top. Bouncing back up to the boy, she handed it to him, a genuine grin on her face now.
"Fill this out and hand it to whoever's in here tomorrow." She shrugged, twirling a blonde curl around her finger. "Or you can fill it out and give it to me now if you want, I don't really care either way." Another wolfish smile. "I was messing with you at the beginning, you know, all you have to do is fill out that form."

Tsuyu swore under his breath again when he caught sight of the blonde's shit eating grin. Why was this happening to him? What cruel entity in this world decided that he had to suffer at the hands of this evil woman who's one goal seemed to be to make his life as difficult and miserable as possible. If only he had come at a different time. Perhaps he could have met someone who actually seemed more like a human and less like the devil herself.
Even more humiliating, however, was how easily she solved the problem. It looked as if she didn't even need to think about how to do it and instead just wrote the answer directly onto the board. And that- that answer! It was so deceptively simple but at the same time he never would have thought of that solution. He had failed this time. And badly.
And now he owed her. Great... Just wonderful...
"Yeah, simple," Tsuyu replied in his most enthusiastic voice - which probably sounded just a bit more excited than a deadpanned tone at the moment.
What happened next surprised him. Once done gloating in his face, Julie turned around and handed Tsuyu a registration form. Correction: the registration form; the registration form that had caused him all this pain and misery in the first place; the registration form that he had more or less given up on ever seeing after he realized there was no way he was going to be able to solve this problem. Tsuyu stared at Julie with his mouth agape. "You're just going to give this to me? What's the catch? What do I have to do to earn this?"
"What do you mean you were just messing with me?!" He was frustrated and pleasantly surprised and he may have wanted to punch something in order to get rid of his frustration but at least he kept his promises. He was the one that had boasted about his math prowess in the first place. And he had lost fair and square so did not have the right to say anything.
"Whatever. I'll hand this in tomorrow," Tsuyu mumbled. But before I go, since I lost, when and where should I meet you for my punishment?"

Her only regret was that she couldn't get a picture of the expression on his face when she handed over the registration form. Oh my god, it was so flawlessly perfect she could cry. "No catch, it's all your's. It's the least I can do after yanking your chain all this time." She replied with a shrug, an impish smile on her lips. So she liked to mess with people, so sue her. For the most part she was harmless; she just liked to incite reactions out of people every once in a while.
Tsuyu just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Oh dear, he seemed to be angry. That was to be expected though, all things considered. She shrugged, laughter leaking into her voice as she said, "I mean exactly what I said! You don't have to have a 4.0 GPA or write an essay or any of those things. Just fill out the form." At least she had the good sense not to laugh at him outright; that would have been mean. But still, the look on his face right now!
"Hmmm." Now, that was a good question. Julie paused as she picked her bag up, tapping a bright blue nail against her bottom lip in thought. The thing was that her schedule was very much up in the air about 90% of the time- the only things that were set in stone were her classes and her work hours. But classes were winding down now that the semester was almost over, and her work hours fluctuated depending on any number of different factors. She was a very busy girl, how was she supposed to know off the top of her head when she could use him?
Well, there was no helping it. She sighed and straightened up, shouldering her bag as she met his gaze squarely with her own greens. "Give me your number, I'll text you when I need you." She was good with remembering numbers; she'd be able to remember his easily, even without writing it down. It was mostly just whether or not if he'd actually give it to her- but really, he didn't have much of a choice.

Tsuyu had no words. There were absolutely no words for this. The utter amount of humiliation and embarrasment he felt could not be properly put into words with his lack of vocabulary. He had just been put through all that pain and misery only to learn that it was completely unecessary. It would have been fantastic if lightning could strike him where he stood. He would have enjoyed being able to say that at least she had the decency to give him the form but tin this case, she owed him that much at least. If she didn't give him the sign up form after all that, he would have ranked her along the same level as his step mother.
At least he didn't need a 4.0 gpa or teacher's recommendations. The next time he does anything he would do his research first. (Or so he told himself, but he probably wouldn't as absentminded as he is.)
Tsuyu grimaced when she asked for his number. He really, really didn't want to give her his number. He really, really didn't want to see her for the rest of his life. (Or at the very least, give him a week to lay low and sulk over his failure.) But a deal was a deal. Grumbling a bit, Tsuyu rattled of his phone number to her, grabbed the sheet, and left after giving Julie a curt good-bye. He was not looking forward to talking to his punishment anytime soon.
