...Yeah, so I know it's not all pretty and everything, but that's just coz I haven't found that perfect plot chart that I want that isn't massive and will easily work with multiple characters- which I eventually intend to have! But for now there's just the one. Here he is:
ARTHUR WILDE
Nineteen | Bisexual | Student | Dishwasher | Testee | Civilian
Arthur is a first year student at UCLA, School of Arts and Architecture- more, Design and Media Arts, less Architecture. Maybe you share a class in Programming or Game Design? Or any General Education requirement, as he's still working his way through those. Arthur is a frequent signer-up of paid studies for the quick cash, so maybe you're running one or are a fellow participant. Maybe all you have in common is your Residence Hall. Note however that Arthur is currently looking for somewhere to live in LA over the Summer, on campus or off. Mostly because he doesn't want to leave behind the night-life and beaches that he's become so fond with. His tiny home town could never compare to what he's found in the city. He should be able to pay for it with his current job as a dishwasher at a nearby restaurant.
Arthur can annoy anybody. FRIENDS would have to quickly become accustomed to his teasing personality and sometimes inappropriate humor and timing. It's how he shows he cares. Yes, he'll laugh at you for any number of stupid and embarrassing things, but also try to get you to laugh at yourself. If he's needed, he'll stand up to protect you, but will always first expect you to get yourself out of trouble- not because he doesn't care, but because it's how he himself prefers to be treated. You'll come out stronger for it, especially if it's a problem of your own making. Friends see less of the selfish and manipulative sides of Arthur than others do, but are by no means immune. If he wants something from you, or wants you to do something - especially if he thinks you NEED it - he's completely willing to make it happen via lying and subterfuge.
Obviously, some people won't appreciate Arthur's particular sense of humor and lack of restraint. ENEMIES are nothing new to Arthur. He himself has no problem making his dislike of some people very clear - the prudish, the arrogant and overly authoritative, the unashamedly criminal who remind him of what he could have been and might still come to be. Maybe he just hit on your girlfriend? Boyfriend? Maybe he hit on you. Arthur has sticky fingers. Become a big enough annoyance and you just might realize something of yours has vanished without a trace. Press him too hard and cross a line, and he will resort to physical violence, but that takes a lot these days.
Be you friend, enemy, or complete and total stranger, you are not precluded from being a LOVER. To be clear, Arthur does not do RELATIONSHIPS, and never has, so the latter two are more likely than the former, as he does respect the friendships he's made and doesn't like to ruin them - a friend might take offense at his tendency to not call the morning after. Maybe you're an irritated ex-one-night-stand or something? Arthur has no final.
Arthur is adopted. His mother died during childbirth, and his father is a criminal, and he'd much rather the man stay very far away from him. Thankfully the man probably doesn't even know he exists. His adoptive parents are a British immigrant couple, hence the very faint English accent and half a dozen or so swears he knows that aren't so common in America. His parents can blame no one but themselves for that bit. Arthur has one younger sister, not blood related, but COULD have other blood relations he doesn't know about. A brother? Sister? Aunt, uncle, cousin? Who knows.
