[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=style, width:500px;,bTable] you say that I'm kinda difficult, but it's always someone else's fault ██████████
The afternoon sun shone down on the blonde haired beachgoer from the pastel blue sky. His freshly sunscreen skin still glistened under the warm rays and his hair shone golden. Kittim, dressed in rather cute—in his opinion—bikini with a ruffled bottom, stepped away from the blanket he had been occupying moment earlier. Under the warm sunshine, he was in desperate need of something cold and tasty. A familiar sound, however, met his ears. Ice cream! Perfect. He picked his way across the hot sand, careful that his bare feet didn’t the ground for too long. If it weren’t for the grainy beach, he would have worn shoes—cute ones, of course—but he would have been walking on hot grit either way. Walking barefoot did make it difficult to look attractive as he walked along but sometimes he had to make sacrifices. He didn’t need to impress anyone, anyways. As far as he could see, there was a serious deficiency of attractive people. Well, there were pretty women and decent men, but none of them earned much more than a brief glance from the picky blonde. He came to the beach of his own accord and for his own enjoyment anyways. Bathing himself in sunlight and lounging around was all that really mattered to him that afternoon. He deserved it after the hellish week he had. Really, it was almost like the world flipped upside down and everything went crazy. Kittim didn’t want to think about any of that though. Kittim made it to the end of the line, shifting his weight from foot to foot as he waited for the line to move. He advanced until he stood up to the makeshift counter that was a square opening in the truck and made his order. When his ice cream was finally in hand, he turned to take his leave when he crashed into someone. His newly acquired ice cream dropped from the cone to the sand. “Watch where you’re going!” He snapped immediately. “Ugh, you made me lose my ice cream.”Got you wrapped around my finger, babe. You can count on me to misbehave. April, 27th. Joze.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][cs=2] who was it, that dyed this heart black? can you read this kid's imagination? | [atrb=style, width: 100px; padding-top: 10px;][atrb=valign,top] APRIL 27TH FRIDAY
i just went on and on sorry ;a; this is what happens when you leave bubbles alone at 3am | [atrb=style, padding-top: 2px] No work today, thank goodness. After school Joze planned to pick up Lysa. A fair amount of times her sister had confessed how she was horrible at math or science, and it just so happened that today the younger girl would be having a test. And routinely, after every difficult test, Joze would treat her sister to some ice cream. Of course, she was going to do it either way, test or no test, since today would be one of the few days that she would actually spend some time with her sister. Though the bad part about this would be that the both of them would be walking (well at least, Joze would be walking most of it, then taking a bus), as the high schooler didn't get a new bike (could she even afford one?), and neither of them could drive. And guess who was too prideful to ask their brother, one of the only people of the family to drive, for a ride?
Thank goodness the walk towards her sister's school wasn't too far. It only took about fifteen minutes or so if she rushed, and did Joze rush. She hadn't exactly told her sister that she would be the one picking her up, and heavens forbid if her sister got on the school bus before she could get to her. I really ought to get a new bike, I can't keep spending money on bus fair, and I really don't fancy walking all the time. Today was special though, she told herself. There would be no Len, and nothing troublesome. Her good mood would not be broken, not if she could help it. "Lysa! Hey, Lysa!"
"Joze! Why are you here?"
"Just to pick you up. I have the day off from work, so I thought we could go to the beach - get some ice cream, if you want some. If we hurry we could go home and grab our swimsuits." Her sister ecstatically followed her. Their house... wasn't too far away. It was times like these Joze really wished she hadn't thrown her bike at a zombie and rendered it absolutely useless (well, it was old and worn-down anyways). Though they eventually made it and were on their way to the beach. She sadly paid for the bus fare towards Venice Beach, watching her money leave her possession. The ice cream money and change for the bus ride back home was all that she had now. Some might find the constant chanting of 'ice cream' from Lysa to be annoying, but Joze could only chuckle at her sister's enthusiasm. If only she had half the excitement as she did... well, no. The older sister thought she had enough excitement and danger to last her a lifetime. The optimism was more something that she could work up to.
The plan was to walk around the beach and splash each other in a bit of water, but the plans were dashed when Lysa caught sight of the ice cream truck. Well, the main reason why Joze had brought her to the beach was to take her out for ice cream, so why the hell not? It was an enjoyable treat, and it was fairly warm (rather, really hot) out. "Okay, fine. What flavor do you want?" She asked, although she already knew. Her sister always chose Cookies n' Cream. As for Joze, she preferred to just get Strawberry. She walked towards the line, waiting, grabbed the ice cream once it was ready, and handed her sister her respective flavor.
So maybe Joze should have made a quick getaway, but she lingered by the truck and in the process was nearly run over by someone. Well rather, she was walking and not quite paying attention, and someone just happened to run into her. She saved her ice cream (thank goodness), but the same could not be said for the other, who was promptly yelling at her now. "I'm sorry!" She couldn't pay for it, unfortunately. She only had bus fare for the two of them.
"Kittim?" What was he doing here? Shouldn't he be at work? Or did the boss let both of them off on the same day? All remorse for the dropped ice cream disappeared once Joze realized who it was. "Well, maybe if you'd have been a bit more careful you wouldn't have dropped the ice cream in the first place." What the hell was his problem? It was just a little ice cream. It wasn't like he was the one tight on money, he could just get a new one if he was just so distressed. "I really hadn't counted on you being here..." Her tone of voice was anything but pleased, and her fairly good mood dissipated. Of course, it was him of all people.
"Joze, who's the girl?" Girl? Kittim didn't - oh. Bikini. On Kittim. Looked like a girl. Maybe Joze got more used to him wearing the maid outfit and crossdressing as a whole than she had originally thought. It only took her own sister to make the assumption he was a girl to make her realize his attire. "Sis, is she your friend?"
"Ah, no Lysa. Anything but." Of course, her sister wasn't listening, already greeting Kittim (much to Joze's chagrin) and introducing herself. God dammit if they become friends I swear... |

An apology may have sufficed for anyone else, but that changed the moment he realized the one who made him lose his ice cream was none other than Joze. The infuriating blonde co-worker just never knew when to bug off and let him do his thing. She always seemed hell-bent on ruining his fun at work and even now outside work. He was on the verge of wringing her out for ruining his ice cream when he noticed the other girl—smaller, cuter and definitely not Joze. He always wanted a little sister. Unfortunately, she seemed to think it was possible that anyone could be friends with Joze. That was almost funny. He, ignoring the older of the two girls, offered the other a warm smile. “My name is Kittim.” The golden haired teen introduced with a hand held out to her. “And what’s your name?” Her heard Joze address her as Lysa so he really had no reason to ask her name. He did anyways though, just because. He had manners. His co-worker just never deserved to see them. Eyes darting towards the blonde in question, he gave her a quick glance over then turned his attention back to the younger girl. “We aren’t friends.” He agreed. It was the first time the two waitresses had anything to agree on and the only time. “She’s mean to me and bullies me at work,” The bikini clad boy pouted. He hadn’t even bothered to correct her on his real gender either. It was unnecessary. “And now she made me lose my ice cream! I was looking forward to it too.”Got you wrapped around my finger, babe. You can count on me to misbehave. April, 27th. Joze.

| [atrb=style, padding-top: 2px] How was she going to get herself out of this situation now? Joze was hoping nothing like this would happen, but look at it now? Lysa... why did she have to go to him? She looked at the two, glaring daggers at both her sister and Kittim. The older girl wasn't so sure what exactly she was going to do if the two became friends. So while she was fuming, Lysa took the time to acquaint herself with her (somewhat) mortal enemy. Kill her now. Knowing her sister, they would hit it off. Great, oh great, just her luck.
"I'm Lysa! Sorry for what happened, I'm sure Joze didn't mean to do it on purpose." Joze was about to tell her sister not to be civil with him, but she shouldn't push her own prejudices onto her sister. As much as she wanted to ruin whatever this interaction was, she couldn't. "I didn't do it on purpose, but I wish I had." Her discontent was clear. Her sister was appalled at just how cold she was being towards Kittim, but Joze couldn't bring herself to apologize towards Kittim, or even regret what she had just said. It wasn't like it was her fault he was there and dropped his ice cream due to his carelessness.
After all, he was the one who crashed into her. "You guys... aren't friends? But Joze! Why are you being so mean to Kittim?" Maybe because he was a prick and shouldn't even be considered a human being? Now even two minutes into the meeting he was already telling Lysa all about just how horrible she was at work. Leaving out half the story wasn't fair. "It's not like you aren't completely void of blame. He wasn't following the rules so I scolded him." Completely twist the situation out of context, why didn't he? It seemed as though Lysa was siding with Kittim, the nerve of that girl! And she had only just met him. "And I said sorry already, don't make me take back my apology on your ice cream!"
Still, she was receiving disapproving looks from her sister. "How the heck did you get her on your side?" Sure, her demeanor and actions weren't exactly upstanding, but it was sort of hard to be 'upstanding' near Kittim. No, it was absolutely impossible. |

Clearly Joze did not like how friendly he was being with the little girl who kept her company and, frankly, it made him more determine to get on her good side. His vindictive streak was rearing its ugly head—not that he really was going to stop it. After all the embarrassment and frustration she causes him, he felt justified. Kittim was capable of much worse if he really wanted to. Joze was getting off fairly easily with him just getting chummy with her diminutive companion. Besides, from what he was observing, Joze wasn’t helping her case any so he didn’t really need to do much more than bat his eyes and feign innocence. He was sure there were also factors at play that were making this unfair. For some reason, he found himself getting his way a lot more than usual. It was starting to go to his head too. That didn’t mean he’d play fair. “Lyse? What a cute name for a cute girl like you!” He cooed before quickly turning his attention toward Joze. She was making this too easy. “She’s being mean to me again,” He whined, turning back to Lyse with his tawny eyes wide and pitiful. “See how terrible she is to me? She’s like this all day at work! That awful, cruel bully of a girl even threw me to the ground once.” Joze was probably justified in scolding him and bothering him at work since he sort of did break rules, but he wasn’t about to admit that. He was enjoying this way too much to. But this was just getting better and better. How could he not enjoy it? He turned his head, flashing a vicious smirk at the blonde once his face was out of view of the other girl. “I don’t know what you mean,” Kittim straightened himself out, brushing his palms down his thighs and behind to remove any sand clinging to him. “This sweet girl just has a heart, unlike some people I know.” He crossed his arms under his chest. “I was really looking forward to that ice cream, you know! And you don’t even seem to care that you made me drop it.” Got you wrapped around my finger, babe. You can count on me to misbehave. April, 27th. Joze.

| [atrb=style, padding-top: 2px] What was supposed to be a good day to spend time with her sister had turned out to be such a disaster. It was his fault, why did he have to come here and ruin everything? Joze wanted to just take her sister and leave, maybe retreat to another part of the beach and away from Kittim's general vicinity. But her sister was stubborn, and even when she grabbed her hand, signally that she was official done with this situation, she was refused. "Lysa!"
There he was again, spreading rumors about her to her own sister. And she was just eating it up. One would think that she'd just have a bit of faith in her sister being related and all, but that was not the case. "How can you trust... that... that..." She couldn't even think of a word to describe how horrible he was. Yet she was still here, and obviously her sister wasn't going to let her leave this place with her. And there was no way Joze was leaving her with him. So as much as she didn't like this situation...
"Hey! That was out of context and you know it!" Still it elicited a gasp from Lysa. "You were breaking the rules!" Joze didn't go into it much, there were just some things that she would rather not get into. "With what you were doing you deserved to be thrown to the ground." Of course, Lysa wanted elaboration, but Joze didn't give her any. No need for her to know that he was feeling someone up. And now her sister was giving her dirty looks. "I bought you your ice cream be a little grateful, please?"
And that little bitch... he was planning this. That smirk... how she wished she could just wipe it off of his damn face. Yes, a well deserved punch from her fist would be so nice. "I'm not gonna say my sister doesn't have a heart, but she shouldn't waste it on the likes of you. Don't believe anything he says, Lysa." Of course, she never did listen. She'd expect this behavior coming out of her brother, but not her. Has she been spending more time with him? "Okay well I'm sorry you dropped your ice cream off of you own accord. It must be so horrible that you can't eat it because I wouldn't wish that atrocity on anything." |

It was amusing to see Joze’s own sister turning against her to come to his aid, giving her disapproving looks while he sat on the sidelines as the victim. She even resisted Joze’s attempt to grab her hand and take her leave. At least someone in the Atkins family had a heart. He wondered how someone with zero compassion like Joze could be related by such a sweet little angel of a child like Lysa. Of course, he was playing up an incident where he wasn’t the victim he pretended to me. Oops. As long as Joze looked bad, he really didn’t care. Maybe he would have been a little easier on her if she hadn’t been such a pest. Now, she would just have to take every blow he dealt her while her precious companion ate it up like a starving child. Not so perfect now, was she? “I wasn’t doing anything but my job,” He pouted. “And you come in and assault me.” Lysa was buying what he was selling her so he was going to keep pitching her his victimized exaggeration of his account. “Brute.” Oh! They were sisters. That cleared up on question that was floating at the back of his mind. He could see the resemblance now that he was looking for it. “That’s rude, but I guess your sister is the only one with manners.” Kittim’s eyelids drooped into an expression that showed he was less than impressed with her second attempt at an apology. He took two steps closer, getting into her face. “Say what you want, but it’s your fault it’s in the sand so what are you going to do about that?”Got you wrapped around my finger, babe.

| [atrb=style, padding-top: 2px] Joze sighed. Lysa really wasn't acting like herself, being disrespectful to her. All she wanted was a day to hang out with her sister and now that plan completely backfired on her. It was all his damn fault. "That's horrible, Kittim! I can't believe my sister would do anything like that - I apologize for her!" Lysa was a sweetheart, but this situation really didn't need her sweetness right now. It was driving Joze insane with the act that all the facts were being spoken out of context, with a context she still wasn't comfortable revealing to her sister. She really wouldn't have minded the verbal abuse from the boy, but in front of her sister, and even making it so that he was turning her against her?
Goodness, that was low. "You were initiating inappropriate conduct in the workplace and all I did was prevent it from going anywhere that might get you and the whole cafe in trouble!" She was just about to scream of frustration now. "And I am not a brute, take that back!" She was already feeling the familiar anger that bubbled up whenever she saw Kittim at the workplace. Hell, not even that. She could already feel the similarities between their arguments over there and this particular exchange. The only differences were the setting and the presence of Lysa. "That... Kittim's lying, okay?"
"But... you know, you dropped her ice cream." Lysa... wasn't helping her case. "No I didn't. It was an accident." On his part. What was she supposed to do, pay for another ice cream? Then the both of them wouldn't be able to get back home, so she couldn't do that. And her last try at an apology turned out more sarcastic than anything. Didn't help that there was so much preexisting animosity between the two co-workers.
"It's not my fault, I just had the unfortunate luck of being near you when you dropped it. And you know what, I know exactly what to do about it." She took a bite of her ice cream, sorely lamenting on what she was about to do. With the close proximity of his face (no doubt him trying to intimidate her), it was no hard feat to shove the ice cream into his face, smearing his mouth and part of his nose. "There, you can't be mad now, you have ice cream~" Maybe the mock innocent voice was a bit much. Joze didn't look but she was certain Lysa was not impressed with her right about now. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=style, width:500px;,bTable] you say that I'm kinda difficult, but it's always someone else's fault ██████████
If he managed to ruin Joze’s day then he appeared to have been successful in his goal. She deserved it too since she came in and threatened his perfect afternoon at the beach. Kittim came with the idea that he would enjoy the hot sun and cold ice cream, looking absolutely fantastic in his bikini, yet she just had to show her uncute face. Worst of all her carelessness cost him his ice cream. What more evidence did he need to deem it appropriate that he too could ruin her day? Of course, it was too easy to do. Her little sister, the sweet and kindhearted child cursed to be in Joze’s company, had fallen for his one-sided account of her sister’s cruelty. Nothing Joze said could sway her from rising to Kittim’s defense and even apologizing for her sister’s heartless actions. He did feel a bit bad for manipulating an innocent kid, especially being as sweet as she was, but he got over it fast. Joze deserved it. He’d make amends to the little girl somewhere along the way. Maybe he’d buy her a cute stuffed animal or something. Kittim was too busy antagonizing Joze to dwell on any other thoughts, however. “That’s rude; I’m only telling your sweetheart of a sister the truth. You’re always bullying me at work when all I have ever done was my job.” He faked a whimper, looking wounded by her heartless words. Lysa continued to eat up his twisted account of Joze’s harassment which was actually all deserved with his conduct at work. Kittim wasn’t about to admit he had done more than his job for a better tip. And now, as was customary for the blonde, he’d gone too far with his little ruse. He had pushed Joze too far. The golden haired boy withdrew sharply as ice cream pushed into his face and the bitter coldness of it bit into his the sensitive skin around his mouth and nose. He stared at Joze with his face contorted in a mix of shock and disgust. Kittim could feel the ice cream generating frost across his skin but he was too fixated on Joze’s pleased face. For once, Kittim was speechless. The boy in a bikini eventually found his voice though. He was never quiet for long; in fact, he probably didn’t even know the meaning. “How very generous of you to share your ice cream,” He spoke slowly in a voice laced with sarcasm, each word dropping from his mouth like venom. “But I can't accept it.” Kittim stepped closer with molten eyes burning down on the blonde. He drew a hand over his face, removing some ice cream from his mouth. “How about we share?” He sprang to her with hopes to smear the ice cream on her face in turn. Got you wrapped around my finger, babe. You can count on me to misbehave. April, 27th. Joze. Hate kiss time?

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][cs=2] who was it, that dyed this heart black? can you read this kid's imagination? | [atrb=style, width: 100px; padding-top: 10px;][atrb=valign,top] APRIL 27TH FRIDAY
| [atrb=style, padding-top: 2px] There was no way in hell Joze was ever going to regret this moment. Never. Not even if her sister got mad at her a million times. This was worth it. The self-satisfaction that plainly shown on her face was making her sister whine and probably side with Kittim all the more. But he deserved it. It was only the ice cream that she felt sorry for - it didn't deserve the treatment she had just given it. But still, having the boy's face marred (though it was with ice cream, and everyone loved ice cream, right?) and not at tip top perfection made her smirk evermore. "Sis, why did you do that?!"
"He deserved it, lying to you about things." Now that she thought about it, Lysa had turned against her fairly quickly. Did Kittim just have that effect on everyone? Honestly... there was nothing attractive about him at all, he was just an annoyance in every aspect that Joze could think of. She'd scowl but she was still high off her triumph over him. And the look on his face! He was utterly speechless and Joze wasn't sure if he had ever been. If he had, it certainly wasn't near her. After all, he never shut his trap - ever.
Of course, it didn't take him long to respond, and Joze couldn't say she was surprised at the sarcastic tone that left his mouth. Still. She couldn't help but burst into laughter at him. "You're welcome~" She couldn't quite eliminate the condescending tone of voice. For once, she had actually done something to him. Then again, it might've been influenced by the fact that the two of them weren't at work and a potential disturbance at work would probably mean a cut paycheck that she really couldn't afford. Oh, this day had just became so much better from that one little action.
Too late did she see his intentions. Joze tried to side-step Kittim as he lunged at her, but somehow she went backwards instead of sideways. Well, it was better than nothing. Had this been two or three weeks ago, she probably wouldn't have been able to evade him as much as she did (albeit, she really didn't do a good job of it this time either). For some reason, she had let her instincts kick in for that brief seconds, and things got blurry. Good lot it did her, though, because for some reason she ended up on the hot sand anyways. "God damn it!" She temporarily forgot her sister and how she wasn't supposed to wear in front of her. "Thank you for your... offer, but I'm afraid that I don't want anything from you."
She glared. That was a dick move on his part. "And get off of me!" |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=style, width:500px;,bTable] you say that I'm kinda difficult, but it's always someone else's fault ██████████
Joze thought she was very clever and oh so very funny after smearing her sticky, cold ice cream across his precious face. She also must have thought she would get away with it without retaliation. The audacious blonde had simply stood by, drinking in his stunned silence and the view of his face. It was her second mistake after shoving her stupid cone in his face. Now he was closing in with a hand coated in the very frozen confection. Joze would regret it. At least Kittim wasn’t the only one unimpressed by her behavior so he was sure no one would mind if he returned the favor. He didn’t really care if she did or not anyways. Regardless of what anyone wanted, he would get revenge on Joze. The ice cream wouldn’t be the half of it. Kittim wasn’t going to forgive her—especially not after feeling frost climb up his skin from the frozen dessert on his skin. He hated that about his newly awakened power or whatever they were. Joze hadn’t noticed anything strange so he found relief in that, actually, she didn’t even notice him closing in yet too. Nevertheless, she was in for hell for what she did. The moment he lunged at her, she finally noticed his movement and tried to dodge him but wound up on the ground. He went tumbling down after her, landing on top of her with their lips touching. When he realized what happened, he pushed himself up and wiped furiously at his lips. “Gross! Disgusting! Look what you did now?!”The aspiring model met her glare with a scalding one of his own. “Gladly.” He hoisted himself from her collapsed figured, still shooting dagger down at her. “I need to sanitize my face now.” Kittim grumbled while adjusting his bikini which had become skewed during their fall. How dare she!? First she shoved ice cream in his face now she made him kiss her. Stupid Joze. “Definitely uncute!” He huffed. “Your adorable little sister clearly inherited all the good traits!” Got you wrapped around my finger, babe. You can count on me to misbehave. April, 27th. Joze. Hate kiss!!!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][cs=2] who was it, that dyed this heart black? can you read this kid's imagination? | [atrb=style, width: 100px; padding-top: 10px;][atrb=valign,top] APRIL 27TH FRIDAY
| [atrb=style, padding-top: 2px] It took her a while to actually gather what had happened. A bit dazed, and a bit peeved, she tried to collect her thoughts. And much to her horror, she realized. Did they just... kiss? Oh god, they did! Joze could only stare at him as he freaked out, in complete disbelief. That didn't happen. That couldn't count as her first kiss. No. This was all just a bad dream and if she concentrated, she would wake up from this. "I'm dreaming. I have to be." But the sand underneath her felt fairly real, as well as the lips that touched her. She inwardly shivered. That was disgusting. Had to be Kittim, of all people! The dreams that she dreamt, was it trying to tell her something? Be nicer to Kittim? Maybe that was it! "Dear God, please let this not ever happen to me anymore when I dream. I promise I'll be good nicer to Kittim. Just... don't ever make me go through that again."
Only then did the realization hit her full on. This was real. Her sister was definitely staring at the two of them now. And she had just made a fool of herself with that bit of dialogue there. Though... Joze still looked at the boy who was currently freaking out. And finally had the nerve to get off of her. "I'll burn you. I'll fucking burn you." She was full well prepared to do it, too. "Look what I did?!" She was about to grab beat him up to the best of her ability. Damn her sister. This was more pressing. "I will fuck you up." She picked herself off of the ground and started towards him. And her sister decided then to intervene.
The blonde was way too far to turn back now. "Give it back! Give me back my first kiss!" Anyone, anyone but him would have been better! "You did this! You did it. You're a bitch, you know that?!" She lost her cool. "You're the one who jumped at me! It's your fault! And if there's anyone who's 'uncute' it's you!" She definitely was't helping her case by swearing a lot, and Lysa was trying her best to calm her down. "Don't do it, Sis. Don't do anything to him! It was an accident."
"Accident my ass. I can't wait until my fist connects with his face." Or his precious hair got singed. That would be nice too. But she couldn't do that where there were so many... witnesses. He got lucky this time. "I think it's time to leave, yeah?" Because if Lysa protested... well, Joze was going to force her anywhere that did not contain a one Kittim Curtis. |
