Living Situation Anastasia's living condition is odd, to say the least. Previously she was living with her family in a small home in Russia. Now, she's been abruptly moved to an entirely different country, away from the home she was raised in. While she'll soon be moving into her own small apartment, for the time being she's staying in the overly large house owned by Pasha Mikhaylichenko-Molotov. She's only just moved in, and time will tell if she ends up being comfortable there or not. Money-wise, Anastasia is well taken care of. Her parents had a considerable sum of money laid aside when they died which she'll inherit when she turns eighteen. Living expenses are being tended to by the Impedio Society, so a job is firmly out of the question. If she was still in Russia, she'd be a highschooler. As it is, she was abruptly cut off near the end of her final year, and is a tad annoyed to discover that the United States has a whole extra year added on the end which she's expected to attend. If nothing else, it will probably help improve her English, but she's still annoyed at the principal of it. 02. Appearance Anastasia stands a bit over the average for the average woman at 5'9". Her hair is blond, and is generally kept short and tied up. She has a prominent bang hanging beside her right eye, although it's becoming an annoyance as of late, repeatedly getting into her eyes. Her eyes are blue, and her skin is particularly pale. She's athletic, and while not particularly bulky from working out, she is relatively muscular. While there aren't any major scars, there are a few, and the most noticeable is one on the back of her hand from a training incident. 03. Personality Anastasia is in general a fairly orderly person. She's neat and to the point, good at both taking orders and giving them. She works well where there's a clean chain of command, be it teacher to student, parent to child, or trainer to disciple. She does less well in more open social situations, especially in large groups. She isn't very social at all, self-isolating and choosing to spend her time on pursuits she considers worthy. For the most part, that means homework, studying, and training herself to advance in sambo. She'd do well in the military, but unfortunately she never quite reached there. She had a year to go when everything dropped out from under her, but she still acts like someone who spent at least some time in the military. If most people had to describe her in a single trait, it would be 'hard working'. Anastasia has the slightly odd belief that natural talent holds you back in life. As far as she's concerned, people who are simply good at something get lazy and complacent, while those who have to work for things understand how important and valuable the skill can be. Even when she shows a natural talent at something, she refuses to simply accept it, working at things as if she was the worst in the world. She over trains rather than under trains, putting countless hours into things most people would take for granted. She's polite, going with 'sir' and 'ma'am' any time she's not entirely sure of what to call someone, and she'd be considered by most to be a model citizen. She's hardworking and diligent, and if it wasn't for her social issues, she'd generally looked upon fondly by the community. As it is, she's a bit too quiet for most people, taking introversion to an extreme level. On a week where her parents were out of the house, it wouldn't be unusual for her to be completely silent the entire time, save the occasional grunt as she trained with a punching bag. She doesn't feel the need to talk, and doesn't go out of her way to do so either. She doesn't even go out of her way to make friends, meaning those she did have were a rare breed. The majority of them were friends from sambo classes, sparring partners and those willing to practice during off hours. In sambo, Anastasia can be downright brutal. She doesn't like beating around the bush and wasting time, and while she certainly does her due diligence when it comes to safety, she has no problem with getting a bit banged up because of how aggressive she can be. Lots of people will hold back during training to keep themselves in top condition, but Anastasia doesn't see the point to doing so. It's not really practice if you spend the whole time holding back, and at least once she's seriously injured a sparring partner, dislocating his arm when she pushed a bit too far. While people reassured her it was an accident, Anastasia thought otherwise--accidents were things that happened by chance, but what she'd done wasn't. Instead she made a point of trying to hold back more when facing off against people whose limits she didn't know, and since that incident she hasn't seriously injured anyone--simply given them a whole lot of bruises. Her calm demeanor took a good deal of damage in the last few days. While she generally considered herself cold and impassive, focusing on logic over emotion, she soon learned that while she was perhaps less emotional than the average person, she wasn't entirely without them. The news of her parents death hit her hard, and while she attempts to hide it, crying is all but expected from someone in her position. She's operating on autopilot, trying to get back to some shade of normality so that she can finally break down without having to deal with anything new popping up. She's unsure of how to deal with the whole idea of the Impedio Society, and if the explanation had come from anyone but the extremely serious Pasha, she likely would have assumed they were messing with her. 04. History Anastasia's life was largely a matter of routine. She was born to a loving couple, both of whom were involved in the Russian military. For the first few years of her life, her mother stayed at home, and when Anastasia was old enough to go off to school, her parents both began to work. She was an only child, and while her parents weren't always home, when they were home they showered her in attention and gifts. Even so, she wasn't a particularly spoiled child. She was raised under a light version of military discipline, always keeping her spaces neat and orderly. If her bed wasn't made before breakfast, then she didn't get breakfast until it was, and if she missed the usual time they were eating at, she didn't get it at all. Homework was to be done early rather then last minute, and extra curriculars were considered mandatory. Her parents pushed her through a variety of sports and activities, but none of them particularly stuck until they went a bit closer to home, enrolling her in a self defense course in combat sambo. Anastasia took to it like a fish to water, excelling in the sport much to her parents delight. While Anastasia's military service wasn't compulsory as it was for males, it was almost entirely expected. Her parents talked with her about it frequently, and while she wasn't entirely committed to it being her career, she was certainly willing to join and serve for a few years. Both of her parents were pleased with her willingness to do so, although her mother expressed concerns about Anastasia not going to college. On the seventh of May, Anastasia's life came crashing down around her. It wasn't odd for both parents to be gone for days at a time without a word, and she was used to such a thing happening regularly. She wasn't used to being woken early in the morning with a knock at her door, greeted by someone she recognized as a friend of her parents. She couldn't feel anything at all as she accepted a brief and vague letter, receiving news that was even worse than she'd thought when she first answered the door. Both of her parents were dead. The man could offer no explanation beyond that it had been job related, no reassurance beyond that she would find out soon. Anastasia had never experienced the death of anyone close to her, and the death hit her particularly hard. She felt stunned, unable to deal with what she was being told--that there were things she needed to know, and that she'd be going to see her mother's best friend who would explain the whole thing to her. She was told to pack what she needed, and that anything else would be shipped. Like a robot she obeyed, packing what she had and doing as she was told. She was unable to process what had happened, and it wasn't until she was over the pacific that she finally broke down. There were a lot of things she didn't know, and was soon to find out. Her parents had not just been military, but instead had also been members of the Impedio Society, and it was doing Impedio Society work that they had died. They had sought to keep her separate, away from the dangers of the society, but they had still understood the risks of the job, leaving strict instructions that if anything were to happen, she should be brought into the society in order to keep her safe. There was no question as to who she would be sent to. Her mother had left clear instructions on that matter, entrusting her only child to only one person--her old Spetsnaz and Impedio Society Hunting partner companion. 05. Miscellaneous
