Living Situation residency. Elaine is pretty much high upper class, much thanks to her dad. It’s pretty much a mansion, and although her whole family transferred here from Larissa, Greece, it’s practically home to her now. Thanks to the surplus of posters she had brought along with her - a couple weeks of decorating it was pretty much identical to her old room. It’s just her, her dad, her brothers, and Kellan (whom she lovingly calls house-guest intruder) in the mansion at this point. impedio society trainee. Elaine hasn’t quite found her calling yet - although she’s heavily leaning towards research and artifact because there’s no way she’s working under her dad, and one glance towards Arc and she freaked out. Although she would love to be out on the field in combat, she doesn’t want to follow either of them. And she thinks the artifacts are pretty interesting. Although she does gains a fair bit of attention for being the daughter of Giovanni Accurso, and she’d be lying if she didn’t say she tries to use it to her advantage. high school student. It’s required and she’s okay with that, for the most part. She struggles with school, but she tries very hard to get the best possible grades - else her dad would positively kill her. And it’s not like she’s learning much differently from before - though she just happens to be stuck with the other kids in the Impedio Society that had just transferred. And she wonders why the high school isn’t suspicious about it (the school district was probably under their control, everything was under the Impedio Society… in that case, could she ask her dad to manipulate her grades for her?). 02. Appearance hair. It’s meticulously kept tidy and is usually brushed every few hours because it’s super long. Elaine wears her brown hair in a variety of hairstyles - sometimes it’s down, sometimes she braids it, sometimes they’re in pigtails, sometimes they’re drills… The list goes on and on, and with the help of her father’s rather large amount of money, she can pretty much style her hair in every which way she wants with expensive hair products. Although she uses them sparingly, most of the time her hair is in a braid with a bow. eyes. Sometimes they’re green, sometimes they’re blue - colored contacts are this girl’s best friends. Although they’re naturally green, Elaine sometimes wears blue contacts when she feels like a change in eye color. Which, in actuality, is pretty often. Often she emphasizes her eyes when she puts on makeup - to her, they are her best feature. build. Elaine stands at 5’4”, which is sort of short, sort of not. She is still growing, as in the past year she’s grown an inch, but she feels like she might be stuck at this height unless her genetics are kind to her. She weighs around 125lbs, although sometimes she weighs herself and stares in horror as it might go up a pound or two. Maybe it’s all that junk food she loves. style. Elaine’s favorite color is pink. It’s not too far of a stretch to say she likes wearing pink, and will wear it a lot. Half her wardrobe is pink, about a quarter of it is red, and the rest is other things that ignorant people have given her that she just doesn’t have the heart to throw away. She really likes dresses and skirts and girly things, and she acknowledges that fashion is everything in order to achieve popularity. And of course, she must be popular. 03. Personality rebellious. Although Elaine is certainly obedient towards her father when it’s convenient to her (or, y’know, when he starts getting scary and stressed), she does go through a sort of rebellious stage as a teenager. Sometimes she sneaks out of the house, breaks the rules, does things that she’s been explicitly told not to do. But she usually does it for fun, and she loves wrecking havoc. cheerful. Elaine is usually very happy. She doesn’t really believe that there’s a bad side of things - just a slightly-less happy thing. She doesn’t really think about negative things, or the consequences of her actions. Which is probably why she thinks blowing up the HQ is a great and fun idea. Also when people are sad she tends to ignore them, mostly because when other people are sad, she gets sad, and it gets in the way of her usual cheerful disposition. affectionate. Elaine loves being in the center of attention - but she knows the best way to get attention is to give attention. So she’s affectionate with everyone she meets, almost intrudingly so. She spreads her hugs around like candy, sometimes ventures a kiss on the cheek, and holds hands with everyone she possibly can. And the more people scorn her affection, the more she pours it onto them, in a sort of ‘please accept my love I will keep trying’ type of way. controlling. When Elaine is the leader, oh she can be quite the tyrant. She’s incredibly bossy, and one taste of power can make her go a little crazy and definitely hungry for more. She loves ordering people around and making them do her every whim, bending over backwards for her own selfish desires. She loves getting people to do her bidding (especially her father) and honestly, she loves being pampered and cared for. Perhaps a result of being spoiled rotten. arrogant. She’s amazing, she’s awesome, she’s important, and people just can’t live without her - or so, that’s how Elaine’s always thought of herself. Because, let’s face it, being one of the consul’s daughter, she get’s a load of attention from IS, mostly wanted but some unwanted. Although she doesn’t tell her father about this - after all, that’s the reason why he takes her on such frequent shopping trips. stubborn. Elaine gets what she wants - no buts, no arguments. She will get it, using any means possible, underhanded tactics or not. And she’s also always right. There’s usually no arguing with her, she’s pretty thick-skulled about it. Even when she knows she’s wrong, she’ll argue a point she thought was right because, hell, she can’t admit defeat! She’s too prideful about that, too. It is said that she’s more torture herself in cruel ways than admit she’s wrong. loyal. She loves her family, and through thick and thin, despite disagreements and jealousy between herself and her siblings, she still swears loyalty to them, and by default, to the Impedio Society. In fact, she’d never dream of betraying them, unless dire circumstances were reached. She’s obedient towards her father and will probably always take his side in things, and she’d never betray one of her family members or friends. ambitious. Elaine might have a little bit of jealousy towards her older brothers for being so, well, perfect in every way they are, but it only drives her to try to further herself up in the Impedio Society. She has dreams of overcoming them, but she hasn’t yet gotten the skills. She also knows that if she’s on top, she’ll be respected, which is something she really wants, no matter what. Even though her father does spoil her a lot, it’s not really much when he still doesn’t trust her with an artifact. 04. History Elaine was born on a September morning. It was a fairly peaceful morning in Larissa, Greece. It was a fairly uncomplicated birth, and honestly the circumstances couldn’t possibly be better for her. She’d count herself as pretty lucky, actually. She had two older brothers that cared for her, and parents that loved her, and maybe spoiled her rotten. Even though her upbringing was strict, she couldn’t have been happier with her life. The weather was always nice and the people were always great. Her brothers were only a bit older than her, and she always tagged along and tried to do things with them, although they usually did push her to the side because she was younger. It only made her more determined to play with them and give them as much affection as she could. But the twins were usually off doing their own thing, and Elaine usually always went to her mother. When she wasn’t trying to (unsuccessfully) play with her older brothers, she spent time with her mother and tried to sing with her. Father was rarely home, although she looked forward very much to when he did come home. Elaine grew up some, and before she knew it she had a little brother that she could play with instead of her older brothers. The siblings were pretty close, if she’d say so herself, but she was usually a mother’s girl and went crying to her. Over the years she often sang with her mother, cooked with her mother, did everything she could with her mother. She loved her father dearly too, but he was usually never home. Though after repeatedly asking her mother why, she eventually understood why her father was gone so often - he was very important and had many duties to carry out. Still, she lived in significant comfort. They were rich - incredibly so. And she got mostly everything that she asked for. There were always the unreasonable requests that children gave their parents - she wanted to be a princess and she wanted to go to space, both of which were not granted. But that dress in the window she thought was very pretty, or that expensive toy in the shop? Her’s. Aside from singing lessons, courtesy of her mother (she had the most beautiful singing voice Elaine had heard, or would probably ever hear), she was also tutored at home. At least, at first she was. The way her brothers turned out with their separation anxiety, however, pretty much landed her in public school. Most of the people in her school knew each other at least, and she was the loner for the most part. Although determination and the want to be friends with everyone quickly turned to her favor. She was affectionate and cheerful, more than willing to please others for her own purposes. Most people called her a ‘social butterfly’, but she liked to refer to it as getting what she wanted out of her peers. She supposed she was very well liked along them. Even though she was taught in most subjects at school (the standard Greek, Math, Science, History, and English), she was also taught at home subjects that couldn’t be taught at school. Namely - everything about the Impedio Society. She had started learning about it at a young age, about the folklore of the ancient kingdoms, and of the kingdoms themselves. The tale of how the war had left them in crumbles, and that the soon great empire had deteriorated into what it was today. She tried drawing parallels between that she was taught at home and at school, but school barely gave her a basic understanding that sometimes she mixed up the two. But not only was she taught the ancient histories, she was also taught how to speak Italian (courtesy of her father when he was at home, and then by the tutors when he wasn’t), although she always failed at trying to write it, or read it. Life was pretty good, in her opinion. Soon, she would be finding her place within the Society and make her family proud. She’d learn how to fight, how to protect artifacts, everything she had heard from her parents about the Society. Her social life was flourishing, and she kept up her grades just like her father wanted to. Perhaps she was a little more wild than her obedient older siblings, rambunctious and causing all sorts of trouble, but she knew when enough was enough. Especially since she wanted to do her father proud. Life was idyllic, but not without it’s strict chores. She lived for the moments her father came, because then she’d have family dinners, and she loved those. Then her mother died. She was only eleven at the time, and it kills her to not know how she did, only that she did. It was sudden, too, and heartbreaking. Elaine was still that happy kid, but, now she clung more than ever to her father. She might have been a mother’s girl at the time and the death hit her hard, but her father was perhaps the only thing she chose to be close to. Only he was always busy. And so she dedicated all her energies into making sure he noticed her. She threw herself into her studies, she excelled at the various training courses that the Impedio Society gave her, and she dragged him out shopping almost all the time. At least she wasn’t her brother - the youngest Darzi-Accurso was never really acknowledged much by her father. But there were sometimes she wished her mother was still there. When she got her first kiss, she wanted to tell her mother so bad. When she got her first boyfriend - hell, when she first snuck out to meet one of her boyfriends. She missed her mother terribly and wished she could have been there for longer, so that they could have more bonding. She didn’t dare tell her father about these things, though. For her boyfriends as much as her own well being. Father also decided that it was time for her to start thinking seriously about where she wanted to go in the Society. Honestly - she didn’t want to be a hunter. She also didn’t want to be under her father, because she would for the rest of her life. Artifacts fascinated her - ancient scripts and powers and the like - it was just so very interesting. Although Elaine had delusions that she would like to go out in the field, she was much too scared, and training honestly took all her effort and might to even pass… barely. She just wanted her father’s attention, not be bossed around by him for the rest of her life. Even if she’s got him wrapped around her finger when it comes to shopping, and a select few other things. Recently they’ve relocated to LA - and much as she didn’t like leaving her friends behind in Greece, she’s rather happy with the move. Her father was just incredibly lucky she wasn’t in a relationship at the time, else she would be throwing temper tantrums all over the place. But LA is a nice change of place, and scenery. And it was also a place to make new friends and expand her horizons onto products not available in Larissa. However, she’s not so pleased with the sheer amount of Impedio Society kids at her school. When she’s trying to look for friends without connections to the IS, all she finds are IS, IS, all the IS. It’s annoying, really. But LA promises lots of fun, and she’s trying to find her place in the Impedio Society best she can (she’s dead set on researching or something to do with artifacts, despite her lack of one). 05.
