“Yeah that's right bitch you better run.” she shouted after him, ducking out from behind the truck and jogging towards the girl he'd been attempting to use as a hostage. She was still a little mad her shot had missed, but that was what happened when you tried to snipe with an assault rifle, she guessed. She shot a few last rounds at him, to make her point as she caught the last flash of her fur, expression harsh, but she already felt the adrenaline draining out of her body, knowing she'd successfully driven him off. She wasn't sure yet if that was a good or bad thing...good, she guessed – there was no way she could kill Chaos alone, but...well, it still felt wrong to let him go.
She shouldered her rifle, stopping just a few feet short from where the young woman. “You okay?” she asked, sounding breathless, but relieved nevertheless. However, it was mostly rhetorical question – one sweep of her eyes over the girl told her there were not lasting harm, besides perhaps mental. With a nod to herself showing she'd answered her own question, she made a gesture at both of her conscious companions. “Stay there a moment, I need to call for cleanup and check and see if the idiot is dead.” She turned, trusting they'd listen to the lady with a gun who'd saved their lives. She needed them for questioning.
As her eyes fell on the smoking remains of her truck, she added grimly 'and a ride'. Catching a ride from someone from the society would take a while, they'd be here for hours cleaning up and investigating, and she didn't feel like waiting around for them. Plus, hey, what better way to get their information than to...'make friends', so to speak. She bounced back to her truck, grabbed her phone out of the ruin of her roof, and trotted over to where the prone body lay to see if there was a pulse – so she knew if she had to ask for medical or not. When she discovered he was indeed alive, she called in for the cleanup crew and medical as quick as she could, before returning to the two who were concious.
“So, I'm gonna need to cash in on the favor of saving your ass now.” she stated, leaving it pointedly ambiguous, a smirk on her face as she spoke.

tagged: knight, dani. time: May 7th, late. speech: colin. notes: \m/ The first thing that Colin did was rush up to Julie, wrapping his arms around her tightly as he buried his face into her shoulder. "Oh god you're okay," he muttered for a moment before pulling away, heart still thumping wildly against his ribcage as he cast his gaze upon her. "You didn't- god I don't even know," he muttered, completely incoherent.
"How did you even get here?" he found himself gasping next. "I--" Before he could say much more though, the woman was striding up towards the two of them, interrupting their reunion with a smirk on her face. "You're joking," he whispered underneath his breath. But she was right, though. She had saved his life, and he did owe her in some sense. He still couldn't see why she'd thought he would have been more of a help than hindrance, but didn't want to ask her. The last thing he wanted her to feel like was that he was looking for brownie points. All he asked was one thing. It didn't hurt to find out, anyway.
"What do you want, then?" he asked, narrowing his eyes. He wasn't going to agree unless he knew what she was talking about. Most of all, he was not going to show weakness. Not to her.

So, that happened.
Julie pushed herself to her feet, wincing at the dull ache in the back of her head where it had connected with pavement. There went the overlarge wonder, bounding away into the night like a bad nightmare. Weird ass dog. If that was even a dog. Green eyes fell on the other woman as she shouldered her rifle, asking if she was okay. "Never better." The blonde replied with false cheer, a forced smile on her lips. She watched her walk off, saying something about cleanup and checking on an idiot? For half a second, Julie really was tempted to just leave and wipe her hands of the situation, but the problem was-
Her boyfriend practically crashed into her in his hurry to hug her as hard as his noodle arms could manage. Oh boy, he was upset. "Good to see you too." She remarked, hugging him back before they separated again. He had a few questions to answer. Like how the hell he got himself tangled up in this fucking mess, first and foremost. How in the world Colin managed to turn a trip to buy books into a magical urban street fight was beyond her, but she wanted an explanation and she wanted it now.
Or, well, whenever it was most convenient. She had a couple of questions for the gun-toting yipikaye bad ass too, but she was busy making calls and checking the guy lying in the middle of the street- wait a second why was there a man lying in the middle of the street what the fuck happened here holy shit. Rather than interrogating Colin, however, Julie replied to his incoherent question with a shrug and a "Cab." What, she couldn't possibly have walked all the way here, and he had used his car to get here so he could buy books. She had been stranded, okay?
Their big damn hero had returned, smirking and making some comment about favors. Julie glanced between the two, eyebrows raised. Colin was typically polite to just about everyone, unless he was given reason not to. And given that this woman just saved their lives and all, obviously she could conclude that beyond the crazy ass dog, some shit had gone down between the two of them. Just what in the world had happened here? Julie felt completely out of the loop, and it was simultaneously ticking her off and driving her up the wall. Someone had better start talking, or she was going to take the unconscious guy and chuck him into the ocean.
