[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Personality
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] Theodore is not smart or strong or talented at anything. Instead, he is reckless and is willing to take chances. He is incredibly free spirited and tends to just go with the flow of things – as long as they go his way, that is. If he finds a situation disagreeable his first option is to get out as soon as possible. The hassle is not worth it. To him, life is for living and not working seventy hour weeks for money. Theodore loves life and all that the world has to offer him. Life is an adventure, and it is one that he has decided to cherish. The freedom of being able to travel and explore the vast world around him was his dream for the longest time. His lifestyle may not suit most people, and he needs to be very frugal at times, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. Theodore is happy and that is all that counts. That being said, he was raised with “morals”. He knows well enough that stealing is wrong and is not so reckless and ignorant that he would just take someone else’s things. Of course, the way in which he was raised also severely restricts his outlook on life. He is naive to many things and is very much still a child on the inside. He is honest, very gullible, and easily amused. It’s a miracle that he has been able to survive on his own for this long.

Theodore was the first child born to Quentin and Margaret Ayres. His twin sisters, Alexandra and Phoebe, would be born four years after him. They were an average American family, living in the typical American cul-de-sac, experiencing the usual day to day life of the middle class American family. You would think that a family living in the 1980s would be living a lifestyle drastically different than that of a family in the 1950s. And you would be right in most cases except in the case of the Ayres family.
Margaret Ayres was raised with what her parents called “Proper American Values” and was determined to do the same with her own children. Margaret was a stay at home mom and dutiful wife. She cooked, cleaned, and did everything a house wife was supposed to so for her husband. She also did her best for the children. She taught the children (she homeschooled them because public schools were becoming un-American), disciplined the children, and above all, kept her kids safe by only allowing the kids outside for a couple hours a day. There were too many dangers in the world that Margaret did not want her precious children exposed to. Quentin Ayres, on the other hand, was absent most of the time because he worked long hours and because he was screwing his secretary.
But the older Theodore grew the more frustrated and bored he became. He loved his mother but did not care for the short leash she kept him on. He was never allowed outside and he had little to no friends. Any attempts to join after school clubs were quickly dashed because more often than not they required parental approval. And even if his father was around to sign it, his response was always, “Go ask your mother.” Theodore began to argue with Margaret but Theodore could never go through with his threats. She raised him, and despite how much she stifled him, she couldn’t hurt her that way. His life was stable but it would cost him his happiness.
The day that they bought a computer was the day that Theodore entered high school and the day that Theodore began dreaming. It soon became his only source of entertainment much of the time. Using the computer, he discovered far off lands and a multitude of cultures that he could only dream of one day exploring. After graduating high school, Theodore received a degree in Computer Science at the nearby college to please his father and then went to work for six months for a local company. That same year, his mother died. Theodore grieved but also realized that this was his chance at freedom. With that in mind, he quit his job and bid farewell to his sisters and his father and new step-mother (the secretary) to set off on his own. To date, he has traveled to six different states across the United States. One day, Theodore wishes to fly to London and begin traveling through the other continents from there, but he supposes Los Angeles, California will do for now.
