This being said there are three numbers you must choose from. In your post make a side note about what number you choose. You cannot pick a claimed number and the numbers are from 1 - 3. You will get a Pm from Fate about what this number mean for your character. Just a helpful hint, fate is inclined to help characters with lovely posts who respond with great character development and stay in character. Nerdy men don't magically become courageous, fate will be sure to be slightly nicer to you if your posts are great and accurate! Please do not share what your individual task is with other players. This is to make the event more realistic since some peoples tasks may be counter productive to your task. For example someone may have their task to kill someone while your task is to save them. Again, please keep your tasks to yourself. Also feel free to speculate what other peoples tasks are, at the end of the event I will put up all the tasks for other members to see how mean I am! If you fail to complete your task you are not guaranteed to die but it is not preferable as bad things tend to happen, you also do not receive any residue if you do not complete your goal.[/style] | [atrb=vAlign,top][style=margin-top:5px; width: 90px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10px; text-align: center; font-weight: bold; background-color: #2a2a2a; color: #ebebeb; text-transform: uppercase; padding: 3px;]TIME STAMP[/style] | [atrb=vAlign, top][style=width: 305px; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 10px; padding-left: 5px; border-left: 1px dotted #ebebeb;]04/03/2012 [/style] |

She had become numb over time. She had single handedly watched civilizations rise and fall, she had watched empires crumble as another era dawned into existence. She was growing tired of the world, she could feel fate's activity picking up once more, it was one of the perks of being dead. Her spiritual senses had heightened drastically, at first it had been erie but she had eons to get use to it and hone her skills. Sure, she missed her flesh but she could not really identify what feelings were anymore. She watched a couple mortals walk by her, she could feel their emotions but yet they meant nothing to her.
It was dark outside, the only light came from streetlights in the distance. The women sighed slightly. The cold air around her did not release a puff of fog as it should have, her lungs had stopped working long ago. Stood on the edge of the pier, somehow hoping to feel the cold crisp air that came off of the water. She felt nothing, she would never feel anything ever again. She cringed in what she might assume would have been sorrow if she could remember how it felt. She stood perfectly still, there was no point even pretending to feel emotions like she once did. She was not filled with sorrow, she was filled with emptiness.
She slowly turned to look in the distance. It might have been late at night but yet people continued to walk by the pier, unawake of her existence. She would feel again, she was sure of it. She could sense the link to the past. She twitched as she felt it, it was so familiar to her. She could still smell the sent of fate's residue on these people. They would find her, she was sure of it.[/style] |

It was late at night and most of the families and tourists that came to visit the famous location had gone home. The few people left on the pier were older and actually allowed out past ten. Venedict himself would not be here at all had he not needed to speak to an informant. While, collecting information through computer systems was a much simpler and faster method of gaining information, sometimes the best way to hide it is to not put it on paper (or in his case digital media at all). That and people were incompetent with computers so he had no choice but to leave the comfort of his office to come here in the late night.
No matter, he had received what he came here for and it was back to his suite. Venedict rubbed his hand together a bit in an attempt to warm them in the low temperatures. South California was not known to for being a cold place, but standing next to the water meant wind which cooled the temperature of the air around him dramatically. It was not as cold of the mother country, at least. Back in Russia, he would have frozen to death very quickly with only a casual suit on. How things change when you get sent to another country.
Venedict began walking along the pier towards the parking lot. And he would have continued too, had he not noticed the woman as he walked past. Why go home alone when I could bring someone with me? A detour couldn’t hurt. With arrogance and confidence exuding off of him like perfume off an old lady, Venedict walked over to her. He was sure that he was going to score tonight. After a long day of work at the restaurant, she was absolutely tired and honestly felt like dropping dead at that very second. But if I did that, who’d take care of the twins? I know for damn sure their father wouldn’t. Not properly, anyways, she scowled mentally, a light frown framing her face as she continued on. She shouldn’t be worrying about stuff like that right now; she was exhausted and just got out of work really late. She really shouldn't have taken that extra shift.
Staring down at her feet for the moment, the black-haired female stopped in her tracks and pulled off her shoes. Sure, it was weird for anyone to be walking around outside barefoot, but she could give less than a damn at the moment. Throw caution to the wind, they say, she mentally noted, a light smile on her face as the strain on her feet was now gone. And for someone that’s been on their feet the whole damn day and running around, shoes of any kind were a bitch and a half at this very moment. No shoes was absolute heaven.
Just as she was about to start walking away with her shoes in hand, the green-eyed femme’s attention was brought to this woman a little ways away from her. There was something peculiar about her, though she couldn't quite place it. I must be ready to pass out soon, she reasoned, shrugging it off and not wanting to overthink things right now. Though, a blue-haired male that was walking around made her take a double-take. Was his hair naturally that color?
“I feel… like playing with his hair all of a sudden,” she muttered to herself, shaking her head and internally laughing at her silliness. “Yup, definitely tired. I need to go to bed.”

There was school that happened all day and then running around, pleasing lawyers at the Wright Office took off the rest of her day. Her blue eyes scanned the dark water as it rushed back out, the crunching noise could be heard as she turned around and started to go back into the mainland and to a group of lawyers that were celebrating their victory they had received earlier that day; Anima had agreed to come along and be a designated driver for anyone who go wasted that evening.
Her shoe laces were tied together and hung around her neck; she placed her hands into her pockets, looking away from the party and to the more quite parts of the beach. Older folks and some young ones were lingering in the dark, looking over at the commotion from time to time, other than that, they were the only loud ones. A lop sided smile crossed her face as she came closer to the hustle and bustle of the group, a few looked at her with a nod and a smile, most raising their drinks to her.
Thinking about it, she helped out a little, very little with this case, picking up information and getting the much needed coffee for late nights. Anima also cheered from the sidelines and was able to watch the case earlier that day. She was actually proud of what little work she had put into this.
Anima was about to sit down when one of the older lawyers came up.
”Hey, Ann. You must have a lot of homework to do tonight.” Anima sighed and nodded her head. “They don’t know how to take it easy on us.” She shrugged as the older gentleman chuckled. ”Well, I’m thinking you should go home. I’m not drinking tonight, so I can take these young hooligans home.” He winked at the young woman, whose smile grew. Turning around, Anima waved, not looking back to see who waved back.
The commotion started to quite down, Annie put her hands into her pocket, looking up at the night sky. Reaching the pier she stopped for a moment before having a small break down, crap she did have a butt load of homework to do. What time was it? Why aren’t these people freaking out, too? The crashing waves would have caused any mortal to be overwhelmed by the sheer ferocity the water was getting. She smirked slightly, she could identify the source in a heartbeat, fate was active once more. The water seemed to be getting a bit wilder, the waves slowly getting more and more unstable and large. They were still considered normal sized but they were clearly getting bigger. The entity boldly took another step towards the edge of the pier, fate had already done its worst to her she had nothing left to fear.
She could sense the links to the past, they were nearby, she could sense it. It was a shame fate could sense it as well. The entity frowned, she should feel more compassion but her emotions had long since fizzled out. A large wave splashed against the pier causing a large amount of water to arc upward almost in a wall right in front of the entity. Fate was threatened by her presence. She could feel it, she was untouchable and fate didn't like it. The wave that had splattered in front of her seemed to shimmer for a second, fate trying to exert its abundant power. It was in no position to threaten the entity. Something was preventing fate from interfering with reality. The entity stood boldly by the edge of the pier, not backing down to fate's obvious attempt to banish her. The waves were getting more wild, a storm was coming in, fate would not accept the boundary that reality had set for it.
The entity was surprised that she could exert so much power still. Fate was clearly enraged as the clouds were darkening. Something was wrong in this thought process she knew it couldn't be just her. She snapped her head through the crashing waves to look at a blue haired man not far away. They were in grave danger, every mortal. Her instincts took over once more, her past still effecting her present. The mortals would be at the hands of fate if they did not come to her now.
The entity closed her eyes just as rains tarted to fall down from the sky in sheets, drenching everything within moments. The entity opened her eyes, fate was mad. The entity paused for a moment to take in that there seemed to be a large bubble of shielding from the rain. It encased her as well as three meter radius around her, the rain splattering against the edges of this force field. This was not her doing.
The entity allowed herself to glow a faint purple haze, exerting some of her last remaining power. It would have to be enough of a beacon for the mortals to approach her. It would have to or else they would be in fate's grasp.[/style] |

It was impossible for a storm to develop this quickly when it had been fairly clear only moments before. The freezing wind had now become a gale force wind. The ocean waves were rising. Venedict knew that the weather report was complete shit, but not even the meteorologists would have missed a storm of this size. And last he checked, the weather was only supposed to be partly cloudy. And then the rain came. Fat drops of water came down in torrents effectively soaking Venedict and ruining his fine suit in a matter of minutes.
Annoyed, Venedict cursed his luck and decided against picking up any of the three women currently standing on the dock with him. At this point he would be happy to just get into his car and return home. He’d find someone to keep him company easily enough; there was no reason why he should stay here any longer. Although a small part of him was curious as to what could have caused the sudden storm. Whatever the reason for the insane weather, standing on the pier so close to the rising ocean was not safe.
He turned to go when a small glittering object caught his eye. In the darkness, coupled with the lack rain, one would not expect to see something so small and insignificant. But somehow, even in said conditions, Venedict spotted a small glittering object a few feet from where he stood. Curious despite the rain, he walked over and picked up what turned out to be a round glass bead. Well that was anticlimactic and useless, he thought.
As the rain began to fall in earnest, Venedict noticed the woman standing on the edge of pier was beginning to glow a strange purple color. Not only that, but the water droplets did not seem to reach her, not even close. Venedict felt calm as he watched the woman. She was calling to them, he could tell. His instincts told him that she could be trusted. He did not understand why he felt this way. Very few people could earn his trust and this woman, who he had never even spoken to, seemed like something of an old friend. He did not know why, but he was sure as hell going to find out. And even without, this curious feeling piquing his personality, it was best to get out of this dangerous weather immediately. His car was much farther away than the glowing woman. Venedict decided to take shelter under what could only be described as a bubble.
He walked a few feet but then stopped. He turned to look at the two other women standing near the dock, and smirked at them. His ever present Russian accent accented could easily be heard in his next few words. ”Are you two coming? Or are you just going to stand there and continued to get soaked?”. Venedict then turned on his heel and casually walked into the large protective barrier. There was no reason to help them, they were strangers to him. But if his instinct was wrong and the woman was actually dangerous, he wanted someone to throw to the dogs. The weather a few moments ago had been nothing but mildly pleasant. Yet… out of nowhere, a mighty storm just came sweeping through. It was almost as if some ethereal entity willed the storm into existence or something. The sudden weather change was just too out of the blue for it to have occurred on its own. But sudden storms like this one weren’t much of a natural occurrence, right?
Perhaps someone angered a god of sorts and now they’re punishing us for the person’s misdeeds, the green-eyed femme remarked inwardly, a shudder running up and down her spine as the rain came pouring down heavily on her lithe figure. It almost felt as if someone was showering her with stones from how harsh the rain seemed to be. Not to mention that the sky was black as pitch with heavy clouds. And from her position on the pier, it seems that the waves were splashing around crazily, raging with a god’s entire wrath from how huge the waves seemed to be. But perhaps that wasn’t the most surprising thing she could see.
The woman she had been looking at earlier had apparently walked towards the edge of the pier and didn’t even seem fazed about the oddness of the weather. It almost seemed like she was challenging Mother Nature to do her worst or something. But perhaps it was just her overactive imagination thinking of such things.
Well, the rain sure woke me up… But still, what is going on here? she questioned herself mentally, her green gaze lingering on the woman. There was seriously something about the woman, what it was, she had no clue. But the warning bells off in her head were telling her to get the hell away and get her little butt back to her twins.
And just as she was about to start walking away, she caught something rather peculiar. From her point of view, it was almost… Almost like the woman wasn’t being touched by the rain at all. Rubbing her eyes, Shin’ya looked at the woman again and saw the same thing. Then there was this feeling of being pulled towards the woman, but it was through her own will alone that she kept herself from walking over to the woman and demanding questions. However, the blue-haired man’s voice snapped her out of state of focus.
“Are you two coming? Or are you just going to stand there and continued to get soaked?”
Frowning at the man with barely concealed annoyance, she harrumphed lightly as she watched him walk away and head over to the woman. The want to go over there was overwhelming at this point and despite her brain yelling at her not to trust the female, the black-haired femme hesitantly made her way over to the woman.
“I have a very bad feeling about this,” she muttered to herself, trying to mentally prepare herself for anything at the moment. It was weird enough for it to suddenly start storming this horribly, but this woman… “I’m not going to trust her so easily…”
It’s almost like she has something to do with the storm itself, Shin’ya internally noted as she caught up to the blue-haired man.
“Be careful,” she murmured under her breath in his direction, keeping her eyes on the woman. Whatever happened next, she knew she too had to be careful.

The waves shot up against the pier and not too soon afterwards a sheet of rain came down. Her eyes scanned the beach people were running for their cars, the party that she had just left was disbanded people muttering or laughing and shouting back to any designated drivers cars, but her attention was caught to a woman who stood on the piers edge undaunted of what the ocean was shooting up but something seemed off, she was glowing a faint purple haze. Anima tilted her head, something felt different about her but she couldn’t put her finger on it. Suddenly there was only the four of them and a man had moved forward from his spot towards this glowing woman.
”Are you two coming? Or are you just going to stand there and continued to get soaked?” Well, that was something you don’t hear every day, a Russian accent. Ann looked between the man and the woman, something told her to go forward, that is was safe to go forward. Anima then looked towards another woman; she didn’t seem satisfied with this situation but moved forward towards the other two.
Anima sighed and quickly moved towards the party. But something seemed different; her head wiped up, it was like they were in a protective bubble. Anima looked at Shin’ya who mumbled some things to herself. Unlike the woman, to Anima this was comforting.
“So, invisible umbrella?” She smiled and chuckled, a slight shiver came, and that was some cold shower that was happening beyond this protective bubble. “How did you do this?” Anima’s gaze rested on the entity that stood before the three. That was a relief, at least. Fate was definitely mad at her, and she was taking it out on the humans. The entity was glad that this bubble popped up - although it's origin was still a mystery for her. It wasn't Fate - after all, Fate was the one attacking them. It was unlikely it would provide a safe haven. The last of her power... she needed to reserve it. But she was already at her last remaining strand of power, and she wanted to keep that glow for just a little longer. The three beings in the bubble would be safe for now, if it would hold up.
The last of her aura flickered out, her most of her remaining power extinguished. If she really focused, she could probably summon up something, but it was no use now. It wasn't long now until she could no longer attempt to protect the three humans. The three very important beings that she could sense were important figures of the past. No, she needed to tell them about Fate. They seemed oblivious to the obvious presence of Fate. Had humans really grown this ignorant over the years? She had experienced the changes of times, and she was aware that they were no longer aware of it. Before she disappeared, she had to tell them. Already, she found herself fading. If she didn't already look ghostly, this was a prime time for the three humans to run for their dear lives at the suspicion that something supernatural was going on.
Then again, Fate was a supernatural being that would probably kill them in it's frenzy to get to her.
"Follow me. I will explain." She made a motion with her hand to indicate them to follow, trying not to appear as a threat. She needed to explain of Fate without Fate interfering. The bubble was nice, but if she were to suddenly disappear, they'd be stranded and left to cruel weather. Shelter. She was aware that they were probably mistrusting of her, but even then had to know that this bubble wouldn't protect them forever. The bottom of the pier should shelter them from the wind...
The entity towards the stairs, which was only a few feet away, though still acutely aware of the three meter radius. "We have to hurry, before Fate kills you all." Right, they didn't know what Fate was. Well, she didn't expect them to understand her, but she might as well give it a try. "Fate is... it's controlling everything." How could she word this? "You guys are people from the past. I can feel it. But Fate controls your circumstances and... am I making sense?"
She was fading more. Looking at her hands, she could already see through them. But the entity was determined to stay on the planet for just a little longer, just until the three were safe and understand the danger of Fate. "We just need to find a place where Fate can't get us."[/style] |

The rain and wind could not penetrate the protective barrier, creating a refuge for them from the intense weather. Venedict looked toward the glowing woman. The feelings that Venedict felt toward the woman, it was a strange experience for him. He did not feel any sort of apprehension towards her. If anything, he felt that the woman could be trusted. It was unnatural to say the least. He should not trust this woman standing in the center of the barrier. In fact, he should not trust anyone at all; his lifestyle was proof of that. Even so, something was happening. He could not tell what nor could he say exactly how he knew, but there was definitely something going on. And if he wanted to live through it, it seemed to be in his best interest to join this woman.
Once the two other women had finally stepped into the dome with him, the purple glow emitted from the woman faded. She gestured towards the steps leading below the pier, indicating for them to follow. "We have to hurry, before Fate kills you all. Fate is... it's controlling everything. You guys are people from the past. I can feel it. But Fate controls your circumstances and... am I making sense?"
No, you’re not making any sense whatsoever, Venedict was tempted to say. At this point, he was really beginning to question not only the woman’s sanity but his own as well. The one time my instincts tell me to trust someone and it’s a woman that probably escaped from some mental hospital. But that doesn’t explain the freak weather or anything else that is going on at the moment… His face betrayed none of his emotions, but internally, he could feel his frustration slowly begin to build. His emotions should never be a factor in anything and yet he was feeling more conflicted then Rebecca Black in her music video.
"We just need to find a place where Fate can't get us."
Fate. This woman keeps going on about fate. What the fuck is fate? A codename of some sort? Venedict weighed his options. He could run now and risk being dragged into the ocean by the increasingly volatile waves or he could take his chances with the woman. Judging by the demeanor by the other two women behind him, they would be no threat to him should something happen. With a slight shrug of his shoulders, Venedict walked toward the woman. He wanted answers and he was determined to get them. It was far more shocking to see that the woman seemed to be emitting a very faint purple light. But humans don't naturally glow purple, her logical side reasoned, making her even more cautious of the woman. How was it that she never noticed it until now? The rain was blinding me from seeing her correctly... But I'm probably just seeing things due to still being mentally tired. Yup, that's definitely it. People don't glow purple.
“So, invisible umbrella? How did you do this?”
The black-haired femme whipped her head to the side, finally noticing another person in the group. She seemed a bit younger than herself, but the thing that made Shin'ya want to look at the girl weirdly was the fact that the younger female seemed to trust the suspicious woman so easily. Perhaps I'm just being paranoid then? she questioned herself mentally, keeping a blank look on her face. She needed to at least act calm; what good would it do her to start freaking out for no valid reason?
From the corner of her eyes, the green-eyed femme noticed the woman stopped glowing. Oh, so she wasn't really imagining the odd light. The woman really had been glowing. Had she had any less self-control, she probably would've been screaming out of fear, but she would remain calm... on the outside, anyways. Whatever this woman was, she seemed to want the three of them there for some reason. Nevertheless, Shin'ya would remain as watchful as she could; she'd be damned if this thing caught her off-guard.
"We have to hurry, before Fate kills you all. Fate is... it's controlling everything. You guys are people from the past. I can feel it. But Fate controls your circumstances and... am I making sense?"
Wait, what? A look of puzzlement washed over the dark-haired female's face for a brief moment before slipping back into her placid mask. What the hell is she rambling on about? What did this woman mean by Fate controlling them and why was it trying to kill them? And what the hell did she mean they were from the past? What exactly did she mean?
"We just need to find a place where Fate can't get us."
While the man was walking towards this odd being, Shin'ya reluctantly followed. What had the three of them gotten themselves into by being here today?

It had left Anima in astonishment, she then eyed the other two, it seemed like the woman noticed her statement and gave her a weird look, and it didn’t pass her own mind as to why. To her trust was already there, but it was a deal that could be broken. She then looked at the entity as she spoke.
"We have to hurry, before Fate kills you all. Fate is... it's controlling everything. You guys are people from the past. I can feel it. But Fate controls your circumstances and... am I making sense?"
Anima looked at the man; he seemed to be keeping stuff to himself, his face was so neutral, almost like most people who would be in court case and the woman on the hand, Anima’s head wiped over her was confused, natural confusion. Anima’s brows came together; her face had a small frown. This woman’s statement didn’t seem right but Anima’s stomach churned as if telling her to go along.
“We’re from the past? I highly doubt that’s possible, but.” Her statement stopped there, this woman was rushing, something big was happening. As much as Anima wanted to prove her wrong, deep down Anima felt her trust had rooted onto this woman, sympathy attached.
"We just need to find a place where Fate can't get us."
The other two moved more forward towards the woman and Anima followed along, her instincts were calm as if this was the right thing to do. Thinking about it they were out in the beach; there was barely any protection from anyone or anything.
“Why is this person after us?” Anima voiced what everyone was thinking, “I mean I’m pretty sure none of us have met this Fate person.” She frowned slightly as she followed along a little more confidently, sure in her movement towards this entity. She looked over her shoulder, the three civilians seemed to be rather nice, she knew the word nice was a useless word as it had no real meaning anymore but it was all she could pinpoint so early. The entity walked towards the edge of the umbrella, she had heard the woman's question but she had no real idea how to answer it. She wished she could have said that she was responsible for such a great miracle in her current state but she had no such luxury. The entity smiled feebly, her physical form was fading, she didn't really know how long she had. Sure, her form had been fading for as long as she remembered after her death but she had accelerated the process.
She turned to the three humans. "I know I might seem crazy but you are going to have to trust me. I wish I could answer your questions but to be honest I don't really know where the protection is coming from. Fate is not a person, I can't explain or else your safety could be endangered. This is not the right place or time to openly discuss fate or myself." The entity turned on her heel and with that she started to walk towards the edge of the shielding. She didn't know why it had been put into place, something was trying to protect this area from fate. She walked over tot he pier stairs that led down to the beach level. Something was wrong, the tide was currently in but underneath the pier it appeared that the tide was out. She took the first step towards the lowed level of the pier, wooden support beams stuck out from the sand as they supported the structure.
The entity turned to the humans with a smile on her face. She had not seen something so bizarre in the longest time, since around the time that she had died. "Looks like whatever is causing the umbrella is permanent or this anomaly wouldn't be present. Time to do some snooping" The entity continued to climb down the wooden steps until she stood on the damp sandy beach under the pier. She was legitimately excited to solve a huge mystery right before she faded into nothingness. [/style] |

I wish I could answer your questions but to be honest I don't really know where the protection is coming from. Fate is not a person, I can't explain or else your safety could be endangered. This is not the right place or time to openly discuss fate or myself."
The woman finished speaking and turned to continue down the wooden steps. Venedict was even more confused than he was before. The more the woman spoke, the more questions arose. If she was not the one creating this barrier then who was? If fate was not a person then what was it? And why was she leading them below the pier? It seemed counterproductive and reckless. The waves were rising at an impressive speed and he would much prefer not to die from drowning by being pulled into the ocean. Nonetheless he felt compelled to follow and satisfy his curiosity, albeit at a farther distance then before.
Below the pier, Venedict was surprised to see that despite the high tide, the water underneath the pier did not appear to have risen. It seemed that the barrier could do more than just keep the rain water out. While they waited for the other two women to follow, Venedict took the time to regard the woman. Had they met under different circumstances, his observations might have been that she was nothing special. And she was so pale, almost as if see through. Venedict played it off as a trick of the light. And this protective bubble was probably some sort of new technology. He would have to make note of this and research it later. You’re in denial, you know there’s no such technology. If there were you would have found a way to get it already. Venedict forced the thought out of his mind. He was a man of mathematics and science. Everything could be explained somehow.
The entity turned toward them and smiled. She was excited, very excited. Venedict could tell. She was not afraid, but thrilled to be investigating the situation. "Looks like whatever is causing the umbrella is permanent or this anomaly wouldn't be present. Time to do some snooping"
”I am not doing any ‘snooping’ until you explain to us what is going on. There is no way I am going on some witch hunt until I know what it is we are going up against.” Venedict’s patience was running out. He would agree to help this woman, but only once he had a clearer sense of the situation so that he could form some sort of plan. That’s exactly what the black-haired female was at the moment. Completely and utterly confused. What in the holy name of logic was going on here? This woman in front of them wasn’t making any sort of sense. Why did she keep rambling on and on about Fate anyways? And seeing as she was insistent on the fact that Fate wasn’t a person at all, then what exactly was Fate and why was it after them specifically? Had they done something to upset this entity known as Fate or something? Besides that, how did this woman know about Fate and it coming after them anyways? Did she have something to do with it?
Shoving those puzzling and restless thoughts out of her head, Shin’ya merely watched the woman walk down the steps, taking in the woman’s comment about the odd barrier keeping out the rain. Something else had put up the barrier to keep out the rain? What could’ve possibly done that and why? the green-eyed femme questioned herself as she took a few steps toward the end of the pier, looking at the moist sand in marvel. The tide wasn’t affecting this area at all? But why? What would be the purpose of that?
“I am not doing any ‘snooping’ until you explain to us what is going on. There is no way I am going on some witch hunt until I know what it is we are going up against.”
Shin’ya looked over her shoulder and stared at the man for a moment before returning her gaze to the sand below. She had to agree with him on this subject; how the hell were they going to go look around the area without having a proper explanation first? It seemed only fair; they’d help her out so long as she provided an excellent clarification as to what the hell was going on today. However, the woman’s words of not being able to currently explain rang in her head, causing the lithe woman to sigh out mild annoyance.
“As much as I’d agree with you, sir,” she began coolly, glancing at the strange woman before facing the other two. “Maybe… We should listen to what she says. If it’s truly not safe for us to be here for too long, what choice do we have but to listen? However, that’s not to say I trust her. Quite the opposite really, but if it means surviving for another day, I’m all for it. I don’t know about any of you, but I have a couple of people waiting for me back at home so if this is the quickest way to get there, I’m taking it.”
That being said, Shin’ya quietly turned about-face and walked down the stairs, pausing in front of the feminine entity once she got on the sand. Peering around the pier, there didn’t seem to be too extraordinary other than the fact that water wasn’t rising with the tide due to this barrier-like thing. What was there to investigate? Maybe there’s something in plain sight? she asked herself, walking around the wet sand near the stairs. There had to be something.

Anima looked out beyond to the ocean before turning back to the group. The woman seemed happy that they were staying, Anima just felt like this was the right thing to do, if she walked away now then she would feel dirty and as if she were betraying a friend. Apparently, this Fate was a person, possibly a thing then; Anima stuck a hand under her chin in thought that was until the woman started moving requesting they follow along to snoop around for whatever was protecting them.
She was just about to follow along until the man finally spoke up, he didn’t seem to want to go along and then the woman also voiced that she agreed but felt they should go along with this enitity even if there was no real foundation for their words. Anima looked out at the woman, her pain skin almost seemed translucent, a deep sigh left her lips.
“If we’re shooting for opinions here, we should follow along. My gut is telling me to go along whether this seems ridicules or not. If we follow along answers are bond to come as well, hm?” She shrugged and walked up to the steps. “I mean, maybe we were meant to do this?” Anima took each step and then felt the cold sand between her toes.
“I have nothing to lose.” She walked up to the ghost, giving her a smile and a thumb up. Ok, maybe she did, still being so young but then saying all of that out loud might make everyone feel a little easier or maybe taking the mantle up would make it easier to follow this person. It didn’t seem like she wanted to hurt them and if it did it would be three against one, which seemed like good odds in Anima’s eyes.
Her bright blue eyes looked back at the others, slightly hoping they wouldn’t make her look foolish. And actually looking at them, they seemed older than her but she wouldn’t let their opinion get her down. To her some chances were meant to be taken. But Anima looked away and around the beach.
”Ok, so what are we looking for anyways?” She crossed her arms and tilted her head as she scanned the beach grounds. Fun-sucker. She was rather dismayed that she wasn't getting their help so easily, but at least they were safe from Fate as of now. The beach below the pier was calm. So something must be interfering with it. And as a result, making Fate all that more angry. But the entity wasn't so concern about Fate getting to them. Although there was a chance that the bubble might 'pop' so to speak. She had no control over it. But she was determined to find out what the cause was. And to be taking part of something right before she would probably leave this world! It was exciting. Too bad these humans couldn't share her excitement. Then again, they haven't been confined to the world for hundreds and hundreds of years, bored out of their minds. So they wouldn't understand.
But still, she couldn't really react much with reality. The entity needed someone to help her interact and such. If her fading form hadn't given them a clue yet, her inability to open doors and interact with items ought to do it. It still wasn't the safest place to discuss Fate in all it's glory. But a general overview would probably provide them with some information and hopefully convince the less than enthusiastic members of their little gathering to help her investigate. After all, she didn't have the most time in the world, and every little second counted for her. At least someone was agreeing with her. It made her job just that much easier. "We honestly don't have a lot of time. But Fate is just what it sounds like. Fate. The circumstances. The events. Don't tell me you don't know a concept like Fate down yet."
Honestly? The most accurate description yet. And even then, it wasn't all that accurate. But what other terms could she put it in? It was a generalization at best, and they would just have to trust her until then. Which might be asking for too much, but what other choice have they got? Step out of the bubble and actually face the terrible weather conditions that would most likely kill them? "Now please, help me! Aren't you guys at the least curious as to what this is?"
She did feel like a child on Christmas Day. That was what the humans said these days, right? The entity was giddy, excited. She didn't imagine that she'd be leaving this world in such an interesting way. And she was sure that these humans, with the threads of past connected to them, was her last duty.

“I think that’s what we’d all like to know,” Shin’ya hummed, discarding her shoes in the sand and walking along the sand barefoot while looking at the surroundings. “It’d make life simpler if we knew what exactly we were trying to find… but it doesn’t seem to be the case here.”
With a small frown marring her face, the green-eyed waitress repeated the feminine being’s words over in her head. So right now, the three of them plus the entity were currently stuck in a bubble of sorts due to Fate’s interference. At least, that’s what she could understand given all that she was going through at the moment and the entity’s explanation. But still, there were so many questions unanswered and they didn’t even know what their exact purpose for being there at that exact moment.
Perhaps Fate has a cruel sense of humor or something, she pondered to herself as she looked around the temporary shelter, not finding anything out of the ordinary. Just as she turned to face the entity again though, something odd caught her attention. Perhaps it was a trick of the light or something, but there almost seemed to be a rectangular structure of some sort resting underneath the female entity’s foot. Has that always been there?
“Hey… what’s that?” she mumbled out, pointing a finger at the block underneath the entity’s foot. It… looked like a step of some sort from where she was standing. Maybe it was a part of some stairs or something? But… how can that be? No one made stairs in the middle of the beach for no damn reason. Who the hell made stairs at a beach anyways?
That’s not the point, she scolded herself, taking the female’s words as a sort of reminder. Just like the brunette had said a moment ago, perhaps there really was a reason for them being there. But… what exactly was Fate planning to do with them right now?

So it seemed that she had come to the same conclusion he had: the quickest way out of this mess alive was to trust the entity. Of course, unlike the woman with the dark hair, Venedict felt this innate trust in the entity that apparently the other two did not feel. The other, younger woman agreed. They were to help the mysterious woman with whatever it is that they were hoping to accomplish. Some sort of explanation would have been appreciated though.
"We honestly don't have a lot of time. But Fate is just what it sounds like. Fate. The circumstances. The events. Don't tell me you don't know a concept like Fate down yet. Now please, help me! Aren't you guys at the least curious as to what this is?"
Venedict took that back. He did not want an explanation anymore. Not if the explanation was something as obscure and confusing as that. The entity was telling the truth, he could tell. Which only served to reaffirm his latest theory: they were all insane. The woman that was guiding them on this wild goose chase was in reality an escaped mental patient and all of this was in their minds. It made sense; more sense than some sort of supernatural entity like fate, anyway. But she had him there when he spoke of curiosity. Despite the front he was putting up about being apprehensive, he was as curious as the rest of them were. There were so many questions he wanted answered. The only question is how far was he willing to go in order to get those answers?
At the sound of the dark – haired woman’s voice, Venedict looked in the direction she was pointing. Underneath the entity’s foot, he could see what seemed to be some sort of oddly colored block sticking out of the sand. Was that what they were looking for? It did not seem like anything special to him, although it was dark and stormy and the strange lighting was making him think that the pale woman looked see through. Perhaps it was time he invested in some glasses.
