TAGS . NEMI & VAL & ANIMA . WORDS . EIGHT HUNDRED . NOTES . KINDA SLOW START & CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU GUYS BLOW ME AWAY [/style] . The ancient tome sat atop the glass pedestal, the whole room centred around the very text that sat open. The whole room was made of a translucent glass, taking an off white color to the thick glass. Although the pedestal sat in the middle of the room as it was obviously the attraction within the room, the very walls seemed to hold interest as interesting runes were engraved into the very glass. The room itself could contain maybe three elephants as it was large but also contained a rather high ceiling. The archway's as well as how the room came to a peak at the very top made it seem like a chapel of some kind, almost like a gazebo. The room sat under the pier, usually protected by the tides as it was next to impossible to stumble upon such a hidden secret. The glass staircase could only be revealed to those that the tome allowed to enter. It was possible to force one's way into the staircase if its location ever became public but otherwise the mess of sand during low tide easily concealed the steps leading downward into the room.
. The pages of the tome fluttered slightly, runes appearing across the page at a constant rate. The runes appeared in a thick black ink that contained a very curly accent to it. The book was filled with the runes, pages and pages of runes. The pages themselves seemed to flipping when it was required. The past pages could not be seen as the pages never flipped backward, only forward. No normal mortal could even manage to flip a page to begin with, the overwhelming amount of power the book contained allowed it to act freely without the intervention of mortals. The current page flipped, two fresh pages being revealed as the ink continued to appear on the parchment that had yellowed over time. The language was long lost to history, the runes were not to be read until the awakened came into themselves. The book had to be patient. It had waited eons after the first war to have every single link to the past active. It was probably fate's doing that they were all brought to this time period but the war would rage once more, even if the circumstances were no longer the same.
. Anima Wilson. The first of the Earth Kingdom civilians to awaken, the girl was barely an adult by this time periods standards and yet she had been thrust into her position as Earth Knight. Her powers were growing but her knowledge was too empty to really understand what was happening to her. The girl was going to have power unknown to humanity at her disposal and she was completely oblivious as to what she once was. Eons ago she had stood with her kingdom meters away from the room too scared to enter. The battle was by far once of the most heated battles, every army sending in as many troops as they had available. The Rune Room could not be possessed that easily, the five kingdoms fighting each other for control of the room. The five Guardians stood tall as they protected their ancient charge, the same tome recorded the events just as it did now. The book pulsated slightly, calling Anima. She must witness for herself instead of simply believing with blind faith. The Earth Knight had fought with her kingdom to claim the room just as the other kingdoms had. She would see not only who she once was but also who she would be.
. The book was still pulsating slightly when it had sensed something rather peculiar. The link to the past was undeniable, the tome could easily peer into them to identify exactly who they once were. Not many civilians visited the pier when it was low tide but yet the two of them were relatively close by. The runes being scrawled across the page paused slightly before once again continuing appearing on the parchment of the book. The book could feel it's influence snake its way into their being. In a heartbeat the image of the room appeared in both of the civilians heads. The path to the room was now known to them, the summoning of their presence was obvious as their legs started to bring them towards the room. They were still pure of Fate's interactions which was thankful as they were to be given a proper history lesson. The three humans would soon be in the room, carried down to the sandy area below the pier. The book's call would evidently bring them down the staircase they didn't know existed until moments ago and finally result in them standing before the book. The book could already feel their hearts fluttering in anticipation.

At least, that's what Nemi thought it was the moment she got to work.
She hadn't even spent ten minutes in the shop when her boss came in and told everyone that they had the day off. When the woman was questioned as to why, the boss had made up some silly excuse before practically prancing back into her office. All the employees of the music shop stood there baffled by their boss' antics before rushing to the phones to alert all their students that the shop would be closed for the day.
Luckily for Nemi, she only had to phone a handful of students before leaving her place of work. What would she do with her free time now? Nate was busy at work right now and as much as she liked Disneyland, she didn't feel like being a bother to her boyfriend. All she would probably was distract him, and she'd hate to get him into any kind of trouble. Then again, she could always go back home and see if Jonathan was around. They could probably find something to do if he was around. If not, she could just go work on a new song while she had some alone time.
Yup, that's probably what she was going to do right now.
But despite the fact that she was pretty much deadset on going home, she somehow ended up wandering to the Santa Monica Pier. How did that happen? the indigo-eyed femme asked herself as she looked along the pier. How strange... She was certain that she was headed in the right direction to the apartment. However, the oddness of the situation momentarily left her mind as she stare at the scene before her. The fairly clear sky painted with wisps of white clouds made her smile though; it was such a peaceful scene.
Without even realizing it, Nemesis had managed to find her way towards the sand. Blinking in confusion, she couldn't help but feel like she was being drawn to something. What it was, she wasn't necessarily aware of.
Looking at her surroundings, she would've figured that the pier would've been filled to the brim with people everywhere, yet it was pretty empty for the moment. That's when she spotted something completely out of the ordinary under the pier towards the water. "What is that?" Nemi muttered out loud as she walked closer to it. She couldn't help but look at her discovery with wide eyes; there were stairs.
"What would a staircase be doing here?" the dark-haired female questioned aloud, observing the stairs. There was a part of her that was hesitating to venture further, but there was something... calling to her. She couldn't hear it, but she could feel it. And whatever it was was down the stairs.
Steeling her nerves, Nemi followed the stairs down until she came across a door. There was something in her that was begging her to go back and never return again, but that incessant feeling of something calling out to her kept her from leaving.
She opened door then and walked right into the room, completely amazed by the room and its entirety. It was... beautiful and strange and it felt... magical in a way. It was the strangest sensation she had ever felt. What was this place?
Upon spotting the book, her curiosity mildly got the better of Nemesis as she took a few tentative steps closer to it. It glowed with the same strange insignias located on the walls of the room and moved on its own. Now, what exactly was this doing here and what was calling out to her? [/style] |

What made today so special? The room whispered to her beckoning the new knight to come. Anima checked her watched, she didn’t have time for this but she needed to go out. She sighed, her professor dismissed class, and Anima stood up quickly snatching her backpack and jolted for the door. Making her way across campus up to her car she sat there for a moment once more the feeling to drive out to the pier overcame her. Her forehead planted her steering wheel a few times before starting her car.
Stopping her car in the parking lot, Anima sat in her car, it almost could’ve been silent if it wasn’t for the soft waves the formed out beyond the dash of her car. Anima tapped her fingers lightly on the steering wheel before caving in to get out and go the rune room. All of this happened only a few weeks ago, slowly stepping out of the car she looked down at her feet. Only a few weeks ago the campus nurse pointed out that she had a swollen ankle and she was given a break because of the junk that happened at the law offices. Her ankle felt better after having the required rest but now she was back; some dread entered into her why would she need to be back here. It was pointed out that she would need to protect the room, curse the sixth sense.
Slowly walking out into the sand the crunching and waves mocked her as the occasional fit nut ran by her. Almost as if being led by some invisible force she found herself near the pier, from there into the shade, which was welcomed. Anima scanned the area, so the room was in this area; she rested a hand under her chin as she roamed the area.
Then Anima stopped, something felt like a pulse of a heart. Her eyes darted down to the ground, and with a cock her head, there were the stairs. She walked down to them before enter the large room, was it that big the last time she was here; attempting to remember Anima scratched to top of her head but that night didn’t want to surface once more. Finally being in the room the sensation of needing to be in the area left the young woman, almost as if a young child had left her alone and went to bug someone else. A small smile came over Anima’s face, so she just needed to be here. Her brows then lifted up, a woman was here as well.
”Ah, hello.” Anima walked up to her, with a larger smile and a wave. She then stopped and stared down at the book, it’s pages flipped forward, writing in some unknown language yet it seemed familiar in some way. ”Strange, isn’t?” Her cerulean eyes wandered back up to the woman.

It was near afternoon and the sun was high in the sky. The weather was warm even in the month of April. In Tokyo, the northern temperate climates would have been cooler this time of year. It was strange. It was still the same ocean but just flying across it brought him to a whole different world. Just a few days ago he was still in Japan. Now he was i the United States where there was a whole different language and an entirely different culture.
Eric stopped when his vision was suddenly lost to him. Visions of the pier appeared before him but from an angle that did not make sense from where he was standing. He saw the pier then stairs leading down to the beach. There were more stairs there leading deep below the ground. It was as if something was calling him. Suddenly the visions stopped and Eric was back on the wharf where he had been standing previously. The sun was still shining and there was nothing out of place. So what was it that he saw?
He decided to brush it off. He was probably still tired from the jetlag and had not yet acclimated to the California time zone. He would soon enough. However as he continued down the wharf, he could not shake the feeling that he needed to pay attention to the vision. That perhaps he should find a way to get onto the beach and below the pier. Then he began seeing things that were the same as the ones in his vision. The same stores and the same stands were placed in the exactly as he had saw them in his mind. Eric stopped, shocked when he saw the same stairs leading down to the beach. He had obviously never been to this location before so how was it that he knew exactly where they would be?
Tentatively, Eric stepped down the wooden stairs to the beach. Beneath the wharf, exposed by the receding tide were the same glass stairs that he had seen before. Curious, Eric continued to follow the pull that he was feeling. It was getting stronger now that he was actually on the clear stairs. They led below the ground into a room made of the same crystal material the stairs had been made of. It looked like some sort of meeting room. A podium at the center of the room continued to flip by itself. Eric stared in wonder at what he had stumbled upon.
In the room, were two other women that he had not noticed upon entering. ”Oh, hello. “ Eric greeted the women. His Japanese accent was faint but still a bit noticeable. Eric wondered whether or not he should bow but decided against it. In Western countries there were different customs. It was still a habit of his however. “I hope I am not interfering with anything. “ He said politely. [/style]

Fridays were always a good day for the young blond, she had no classes on this day, a bit of a treat to herself. She had learned from her first semester that if she left one day of the week free it gave her room to care for her plants and offer herself to volunteer work. Her morning had started quite early, like every other day, she had bid her caretaker a good day at work after taking her turn in making breakfast. After the dishes were done she spent the rest of her morning tending to her plants and making sure Marielle's dog was walked, fed and happy. Fluffy, the name she had dubbed her newest plant was finally starting to show promise. After making a few notes about the sprout Valoel decided it was time to take a break. She made her way back into the house and glanced at the wall clock. 8am, still pretty early, maybe she could get a shower in, and take Seven for a good jog. Valoel was never the gym type, but jogging was her way of getting the exercise she need.
"Seven, want to go for a jog?" She asked the golden retriever why by all accounts did not seem all that thrilled about the idea. After all Seven was known to be a bit of a lazy bum around the house. His tail still wagged but he was not as overly excited as he normally could be.
"Oh Seven where did all that energy go? Maybe you are getting a bit fat from those treats." Her face should concern for the dog, maybe he was getting too old and fat for a good walk. Yet at the sound of a treat the golden retriever betrayed his distaste of going on a jog.
"There it is! What a happy boy, just wait a bit, let me go grab a shower." Feeling robbed Seven tilted his head, had he been tricked, or was the blond girl really that clueless? Seven had been defeated, all because of that one evil word.
She giggled, she knew what she had done, but only after the fact. Valoel was not that smooth, though sometimes she really wished that she was. Maybe then her friends would not feel that they had to look out for her all the time. She loved her friends greatly, but Veloel was pretty much an adult, should she be treated like one? Maybe not, her parents did make sure that she had a caretaker while she attended college. Maybe that was for the best, even Voloel could admit that there were a few things that she missed in a daily conversation. She made her shower a quick one and grabbed Seven, a small backpack, stuffed with two water bottles and a snack for herself and Seven. She wore a tank top, with a white jean jacket, and knee high jean shorts. Her feet were safely nestled in some running shoes. Knowing Seven the would need to take a couple of breaks, but she was sure he would be please with the destination.
The half jog, half walk, took the pair a total of a full hour to just reach the beginning of the Santa Monica Pier. That was when Valoel finally slowed down to a normal pace. This was also when something very strange happen, in her mind she saw a room. This room she had never seen before, at least she doesn't remember doing so. Yet her feet started to lead her in a certain direction, the movement did not feel odd until she was leaning on the rail of the pier and looking down. The water, witch was normally sliding under the pier was missing, maybe low tide. Though, what really caught her eye was something that looked like an entrance in the sand, maybe a staircase? This was when Valoel's curiosity kicked in, she unhooked Seven from his leash, trusting him to follow. She found the quickest rout down to the sands, dog trailing right behind her.
At the top of the staircase she took a step forward, but then back, maybe she shouldn't, what if got in trouble? Just when she was about to turn and leave she thought about her three closest friends, 'What would they do? Well Voloel knew the answer better then she knew herself. 'Sam would have been all for running down the staircase, just to see what was at the bottom. Amanda would have weighed her options.' Valoel was 70% sure that friend would have wanted to explore as well. Then there was Jen, now that was the tricky answer. 'I guess Jen would follow if everyone else went in. Ok I'm going in. She shrugged, her debate over with.
"Seven, go wait over there." She pointed back at the pier, wanting the dog to stay away from the danger of the tide. When she was sure he understood she hopped down the steps, entered a long hall ways and then into a room. This had been the room in that strange vision.
"Whoa.." She really did not have much to say as she took a few more steps into the room, her hand gliding over the wall as she walked. "What is this place?"

TAGS . NEMI & VAL & ANIMA & ERIK . WORDS . 2004 . NOTES . SKYPE ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS [/style] . The ancient tome sat atop the pedestal, its yellowing pages seeming endless as the thickness of the book was almost overpowering. The sheer weight of the book threatened to cause the pedestal to collapse. The runes continued to appear across the page eerily, recording the events that took place at that very moment. The page flipped on its own accord as the page had become filled with events around the globe. A woman had just given birth to a baby boy who would grow up and become a powerful politician. He would be caught in a sex scandal and pulled out of his position as he had hopes of becoming the president. That moment of his birth was important, every event was important. A teenage girl in a Canadian high school had her first thought about how to cure world hunger; her idea would take years to even take a full idea in her mind. In a decade she would propose her idea and be shot down multiple times until the year 2052 where her refined idea would be accepted and be put into action saving millions of lives. Every person was important; every action was monumental to the history of humanity. A little boy dropped his ice cream cone; he would later in life become the CEO of a large ice cream company. The book continued to record the events that partook around it. The book almost seemed to jump at the entrance of the humans. The book had known they would be coming; they would relive their own history. Their presence was welcoming to the tome and its pages fluttering in excitement. There were four in total; it was not a large concern as the tome had miscalculated. There had been four people with a link to the past in the vicinity, not three but it was irrelevant at the current moment. The events the book recorded would never happen if Fate continued to meddle with peoples destinies. This group of people would receive a glimpse of their past to know what could happen if fate was not stopped, they would discover who they were exactly. . The three civilians as well as the Earth Knight conjugated in the room, it was time for them to understand. They did not have time for formalities or introductions. Their interactions in the room were civil but in the past they were anything but civil. The tome perked up as the pages of the book started to slowly flip backward. The room darkened as the pages continued to flip. At first it was a leisurely pace, almost unnoticeable. Within minutes the pages were frantically flipping backward, generations of history being flipped before their eyes. The glass room was still underground but as the pages continued to flip the book casted an eerie glow. The pages continued to flip faster and faster, the glow intensifying until the tome had done its job. The group was where they should be. The light slowly died out until all that remained in the room was the book. The Rune Room looked empty but relatively unchanged. The book sat on its pedestal, its pages no longer overflowing as it appeared to only have a couple filled pages. The past was among them. NEMI
The doors burst open to the Rune Room, the Guardians of the room almost waltzing into the room, a look of grace plastered on their faces. The Five of them walked towards the book, not wasting the time to talk amongst them. They alone stood between five armies and the room. They all knew this would be the battle that would determine the fate of the war. The Fire Cleric reached out to grab the book, the old tome almost being cradled in her arms. "No matter what happens today, the Room must remain unharmed." The Cleric nodded slightly, her silver hair cascading around her as she had a look of fierce determination that made her look much scarier than her appearance did. She stood tall for a woman but appeared to be dainty, the years in prison making her body almost dangerously thin. She had always been a fighter, which much was apparent as her tattered maroon dress had probably been to hell and back. She smirked slightly as she hoped that at the end of the day the five of them would meet in the room once more. The five of them wordlessly stood in a circle around the podium. This would be the day that none of them would be able to remember, the fact that the five of them could stand united from different kingdoms was proof that there could be peace amongst the kingdoms. This war was tearing everyone apart. The Spirit General reached out to grab the hand of the Earth General. The war had been so hard on each of them, the Spirit General had already lost her Noble and Knight, this was the last cause that she believed in. She gave the Earth General a gentle squeeze, silent tears streaming down her face as she prepared herself for the most demanding battle she would ever face. The Spirit General was scared but she couldn't allow herself to back down now, her friends needed her. The Earth General gently squeezed her hand back. He would make the Earth Noble proud today; her death would not be in vain. He placed his hand on his mace. This battle would win him his dignity and might reunite him with his love. He looked around the room and smiled gently at his friends. The Water Scout smiled back at him, he would not let the Rune Room be tainted by the blood of his friends. He would fight with honour. He reached out and gave the Air Pupil a gentle nudge. Together the five of them could do this. The earth shook as the battle had begun, the kingdoms had congregated to destroy the room or to own it. The five of them were the only thing standing in the way of what would become a dictatorship. If any kingdom owned the room that kingdom would be all powerful, the affinities of that kingdom would become too strong for any of the kingdoms to fight back let alone remain united. It was five warriors versus the five kingdoms. ERIK & ANIMA
The Earth Kingdom marched onward. The death of the Earth Noble was tragic, the kingdom as a whole suffered from her loss. This battle would determine which kingdom won the war; it would be the first battle where alliances didn't truly matter. The Earth Kingdom did not fight against the Water Kingdom directly as they were allies but they were far from good terms. The death of both their nobles would only lead to bloodshed between the two kingdoms. The Earth Army marched onward, the General was nowhere to be seen, although it was rumoured he was slowly going mad after the death of the Noble he seemed to have vanished. All eyes would be on the Earth Knight as it was her responsibility next. The march of the army was almost deafening as the sheer amount of troops that were marching towards the Rune Room was outstanding. The troops were dressed in traditional Earth Armour, their helms manipulated metal to appear to be animal heads while their torso was a mix of leather and chain mail. The very earth beneath their feet shook slightly; this was the battle that would determine it all. The army continued to walk onward; it would never be the same after this battle. Their allies couldn't be trusted; they would only control the room if they won. There was no longer a binding alliance between the two sides. The Air and Fire Kingdoms had already broken apart as they were now competing for themselves now as well. The Earth army could do this. All they had to do was win. The Rune Room could be seen from where the army marched, a soldier pointing to the room in awe. The glass surface seemed to reflect the light that the sun brought to the new day. The glass building was half sunken into the ground, the building almost seeming like a crypt. No one knew what lied inside the room, it could be anything really but whatever it was it contained the power to change the fate of the war. The part of the room that stuck out of the ground almost seemed to be a corner of a castle as the roof pointed upward meeting at a point just like a tower. The Room lay amongst a large valley, the Earth Army walking down the side of one mountain as the other armies could clearly be seen. The Fire Kingdom walked directly across from the Earth Army, the Air Kingdom coming from the west. They would be at a disadvantage since they would have to move around the back of the room to enter the fray that would probably be right in front of the rune room. The Water Kingdom appeared to be travelling through the large body of water while the Spirit Kingdom seemed to be coming up between the Air and Fire kingdoms. It would be an interesting battle. The Army rushed forward on the Knight's cue, her scream cutting through the otherwise silent march. The battle started now. VAL
The Water Army marched solemnly, although the footsteps of other armies could still be heard the Water Army continued to walk silently. Each soldier took a different approach, some froze the water they walked on, and others manipulated the water so they could walk on them while others walked along the water's bottom. Every soldier had some kind of affinity, but not every soldier could manipulate the water to the point where they could make the long march across the body of water, which was why the Water Cleric was strongly depended upon to get all the soldiers to the battle. The Water Kingdom had the upper hand since they approached from the east so the Rune Room's entrance was right before them. The Valley would be covered in bloodshed within the next hour but at the current moment it was oddly serene. They had lost their Water Noble but the kingdom would not crumble because of the loss of their leader. The role fell to the Water General who would walk onward no matter what. Their Kingdom would stay strong. This battle could mean the Water Kingdom winning the whole war. The five kingdoms drew closer and closer together, and it was the Earth Kingdom to strike first. The Army rushed forward from the North, and they would first reach the Water Kingdom and the Air Kingdoms. The Water Army continued to walk onward, awaiting their signal. The plan was to battle close to the water as it would be their main advantage. If they attacked close to the water they would save energy and therefore have an advantage. The General gave the signal, raising his hand as the Water Army instantly responded. The first group of soldiers easily manipulated the water, around twenty soldiers rushing towards the first earth soldiers. Each soldier wielded around 15L of water, the first soldiers skillfully lashing out at the approaching soldiers. The water armour was a soft white colour as it was made from a resilient shell substance. It was similar to iron but allowed the soldiers to move with more grace as manipulating water required. Some soldiers wore simplistic helms as they manipulated the water. The sound of battle commenced and the eerie calm over as steel clashed with steel and elements sizzled. The Water Kingdom was only fighting the Earth Kingdom currently but the Air Kingdom was fast approaching. It appeared that the Fire Kingdom was fighting the Spirit Kingdom and the Air Kingdom appeared to be advancing on the heat of the battle. The cries of spilt blood could already be heard as the battle started.

It felt like she was invading someone else's mind or something... because she could hear him and his thoughts. It was like she was someone completely different, and no matter how much she tried to move, she was stuck. She couldn't get out and she felt like panicking... But no, this person she was a part of wouldn't let her. Instead, it felt like his very soul was mixing with hers, like she herself belonged to it.
It was the weirdest thing... but she remained and allowed this person to take over. She would merely be a spectator in all of this.
Today would mark the very end to this tight circle of friends that protected the rune room and he knew it. It didn't take a genius to figure this out.
As the Air Pupil looked to his dear comrades, he couldn't help but clench his fists for the moment. All the kingdoms were coming and they were ready for an all-out war. The kingdoms wouldn't care that they were practically leading their kinsmen to their death; the kingdoms were absolutely ruthless. They were bloodthirsty fools that were being manipulated by the hands of fate.
A sigh escaped the blonde man's lips, allowing his power to freely flow within him for the moment. He wasn't going to let his comrades die so easily; he would protect them with all he had even if he died doing so. He would honor his fallen friends' memories by protecting his fellow protectors. They had to survive to protect the rune room... or all hope would be lost within the kingdoms.
With a fearsome look on his face, the Air Pupil placed a comforting hand on two of his comrades before nodding to them. It was time to face the oncoming war... And it was the five of them against all the forces of the five kingdoms.
"It is time to go," the blonde male murmured, walking towards the door of the rune room with his head held high before walking out. And despite the fact that he didn't wish to raise arms against his kinsmen, he could not show any mercy to them. This was war and the stakes were high; he would not let his emotions get the better of him. Not this time around. [/style] |

Anima turned around just as two new faces came in but was late for an introduction as the room around them dimmed quickly; the only noise was the rustling of the pages turning. She kept her eyes close, she felt different as if an older soul was over coming hers and she to it, but it made no resistance as if it was prepared to take an already determined path that it would have no interference.
There was nothing Anima could do; the scene around her took shape.
The deifying sound of stomping feet and the low rumble of earth annoyance crossed the woman’s face, the Earth General was nowhere in sight for today’s battle; going mad or not didn’t not excuse him from his own post. When she went out to talk to the troops, everyone was now looking up to her; the mantle was the knight’s duty now. She didn’t mind the fact of taking charge, it’s almost everyone’s dream. But then again it was also a nightmare, every kingdom saw what happened between her friend, no the noble and the water noble; she warned the womanly noble not to see that man and to stick to the marriage that would happen.
Their deaths still hung over those two kingdoms as they marched out but that didn’t make it right to not fight them today. A soldier point out the prize on line, the Rune Room, the fate dealer. Her green eyes wandered out that way, the light shining on it making it even more beautiful. The Earth Knight sighed and looked forward once more; it was going to be theirs. Looking out at the field, the woman narrowed her eyes, in their sights were the upcoming Fire Kingdom, from there was the Air Kingdom, but the closest was the Water Kingdom and the last sandwiched between the Air and Fire Kingdoms was the Spirit Kingdoms.
She couldn’t take the silence anymore and a venerating battle cry escaped her lips, most of the soldiers looked surprise but rushed ready to fight for their kingdom. Of course, the first line of soldiers from the Water Kingdom came out blazing with their abilities, be it with either water or steel. But this didn’t faze the knight at all, she disabled the first soldier while dodging another, after the disable she slashed the man who feel down cold moving her attention to the other man she flung his sword out of his hand, not wanting to extend anymore power her sword would do the talking not her special abilities; those only needed to be saved for the end when there needed to be hope among her people.

The sensation that he felt on the pier when he saw those images of the underground room had returned. Except this time, they were not mere flashes that he saw. Instead, his mind was no longer in the strange room. Whatever he was seeing now was incredible. It felt as if he were being transported to an entirely different world. His senses could detect what was happening around him but he could do nothing but watch.
= = = = = = = = = = =
He was a bundle of emotions as he stood near the front of the army, watching the scene before him. He could see their objectives ahead. The crystalline walls of the rune room shined in the sunlight. He wondered what could be in the room. It must be powerful if all the kingdoms were vying for it.
The four other kingdoms were close. With the way it was now, it would end up a free for all. He would end up fighting anyone that was not from their kingdom. They stood around the rune room, surrounding the building and watching their enemies’ movements. He was scared, to be honest. The possibility of his death was high. However he was also confident that they would come out of this battle victorious. With the death of the noble, the role of leader should have fallen to the general. However, the general had since disappeared leaving the knight to lead them.
He looked up at her. He had always felt confidence and respect for the knight. But he was young. Too young to pursue her and too young to be any sort of figure head in the army. And yet here he was, standing at the forefronts of a great battle that would decide everything.
The earth general screamed the order to attack. He took a breath and charged. This was war and if he wanted to keep his life, he would have to fight for it.

Valoel never did get an answer to her question, and with good reason. She was quickly distracted by the dimming light and the movement of the book in the center of the room. She started to walk forward, intrigued by the book, it was a mystery to her. How was it moving when there was no one there to turn the page? She wanted to look at the pages, touch them, see what words were written on them. Yet before she could get close enough to touch it the pages started to flip backwards and paused. One moment she was in this started room, now she was outside, somewhere she had never been before. Her feet continued to move, but she could no longer control her body.
Not only could she not control anything, but she was soon meet with the understanding that this body was not hers. She found this out when the young man looked into the water's reflection at his own face. Valoel was not sure on what was going on, but it almost felt like watching a movie, and she had front row seats. She could only think that this had to be the room, or book's fault, did it want to show her something? Were the other people in the room having the same problem?
The Water Cleric guided his group across the top of the water's surface. He had the task of making sure that those who could not control the waters were safely transported into the valley. This would have been a task shared with the Water Scout, but no, his friend had ran away from the kingdom. What made things worse was that the Water Cleric did not even know that the Scout was a part of those protecting the room. All he knew was that the water Kingdom needed the control of the room and that its control would finally end this horrible war. The Cleric was tired, he had seen too many friends die. His kingdom was his hard by the death of their Noble, a person the Cleric had respected greatly, the man's compassion was unmatched after all.
With his Noble gone the Cleric had made it his task of taking on a few of the responsibilities that were left my the Noble. It was the least he could do, even now the young man wish that there was even more he could do for his people. This war needed to end, and if the room was the key then he would give his life to capture it. The order to attack was given and the Cleric hanged back for a moment to make sure that everyone was in the shallow end the the water's edge before he also started on his attack.
He took no time in lifting a large mass of water, it twisted, forming long cylinders of moving water. The water inside the cylinders moved at high speeds, almost like a water tornado. Three of these cylinders were made and shot at the Earth Army. They barreled through the center, picking up men and women, and tossing them into the sky. The true unlucky ones would be those that got trapped within the cylinders and drowned. The water Cleric stayed on the water, using his power to walk on it. As long as he stayed away from the main battle, he could attack from a distance.

The Fire Cleric bowed slightly, her eyes slightly watery. It was the five of them against the world, it would be the last time she would see all of her friends. She followed the Air Pupil as his built form stood before her. She rested a gentle hand on his back as she tried to savour the last couple moments she had with her family. The five of them could save the world, they were proof that the kingdoms could live in harmony. The door was pushed open, the sounds of battle reaching the woman's ears. She clutched the book to her bosom as she cautiously peered out of the room. The glass walls reflected the sunlight, the battle still fresh as the armies were just starting to clash, the sunlight illuminating the actions before them. The water kingdom was before them, their army quickly engaging in battle with the earth kingdom. The Fire Cleric pushed past the Air Pupil, she would protect the room with her life. The sunlight was dazzling as the very grass she stood on seemed to absorb the suns energy. She smiled slightly as she continued to march forward, the battle only a meters away from her. She could have easily jumped into battle but instead she simply looked up at the sun for guidance. Her pendant seemed to shimmer slightly as a ring of fire seemed to appear around her, the cosmic flames answering her internal pleas. The battle had truly begun. The ring of fire easily surrounded her slim frame, years of starvation had left her too skinny for her own good. The fire crackled mere inches from her skin but she was not afraid, the sun would answer to her, just this once. The fire appeared to be tinted silver, almost the same colour as her hair, the flecks of amber in the flame reflecting every which way like the sun. The flame appeared to be rather thin, almost like a chain of fire that was slowly expanding around her. She smiled slightly as a nearby earth soldier caught sight of her. The soldier quickly started to manipulate the earth, bring a large block of rock barreling her way. The Fire Cleric didn't even flinch as she walked towards the earth army. The rock shattering to pieces against the cosmic flame that surrounded her in a thin ring. The silvery flames arcing in a bizarre grace, she glanced behind her shoulder at the four warriors that stood in the doorway of the Rune Room. She smirked slightly, she could see the looks of astonishment plastered on their faces as she fully wielded her power for the first time. She would no longer be afraid of her power, today was not the day to hold back. ACTIONS: All five protectors out of room, fire cleric targeting the earth kingdom and being a bamf ANIMA
The water soldier looked up at the woman, a look of recognition flashing before his eyes before being replaced with fear. He would have to fight off the Earth Knight, he knew it seemed futile but he had no other choice. He had walked for leagues to come to the room, he would not be stopped by such a woman who had a reputation that would instate fear into the best warrior, even the Air General. The Water Soldier let out a guttural hiss as he pulled out his sword, the metallic blade reflecting the suns brilliance as it was unsheathed. The water behind him stirred slightly as he lashed out with his sword towards her, the blade headed straight for the Earth Knight. He knew she was a master swordsmen, he couldn't let the battle last too long or he would surely die. Nearby water soldiers seemed to notice the soldier battle the Earth Knight, the water behind him shaking steadily as his heart beat. He would fight her until he died and the ocean would claim him. nearby Water Soldier gracefully arced his hands towards the water, the shaking water responding to his influence. As his arms moved through the air the water seemed to snake out of the ocean, about four litres of water snaked up into an orb hovering a meter above the waters surface. He lashed out towards the Earth Knight, trying to help his fellow soldier. The orb of water propelled towards the knight, the water coiling effortlessly throughout the air. The Earth Kingdom had nothing on the Water Kingdom. ACTIONS: Earth Knight being attacked by two different soldiers (both male), One wields a sword while the other is manipulating water to send an orb at her. ERIC
The water column barrelled through the lines on Earth Soldiers, the Water Cleric proving his strength. The streams of water shooting through the soldiers causing the Earth Pupil's comrades to be thrown high into the air before falling with loud cracks. A couple would become trapped in the high speed water vacuum. The water column shot right next to the Earth Pupil, the man that had charged next to him screaming out in shock and pain as his body was sucked into the swirling water. The very ocean shook with the Water Cleric's power, the sounds of swords clashing already audible. It was only when he heard the crackling of fire that he noticed that the Rune Room appeared to house their own warriors. The five warriors each from different kingdoms had emerged from the room. The Earth General among them, his saddened expression revealing his ferocity. The Fire Cleric seemed to be wielding silver fire, the thin flames that surrounded her easily shattered rock with no effort. She approached the earth army with a look of determination, the book clutched to her chest somehow catching the boys attention. Her pendant seemed to shimmer with the intensity of the sun's rays but it was the book that caught his eye, the book was important. ACTIONS: Just missed by the Water Cleric's attack, Fire Cleric appears to be a target, Notices the Earth General amongst the people in the Rune Room.
FATE NOTE: The Earth Pupil has taken an interest in the Ancient Tome the Fire Cleric possesses. VAL
The sounds of battle echoed around the Soldeir, her ears ringing as the battle had only just begun. The Fire kingdom was already engaging with the Spirit kingdom, she had watched some of her comrades already die at the hands of their enemies. The Earth Kingdom could be seen directly across the meadow, their army battling against the Water Kingdom. The woman smiled slightly as she continued to run towards the Water Army. A water soldier started to have frost start to crawl up her legs, the ground she stepped on freezing over. She grimaced as the cold bit into her skin, her eyes searching for the cause, the water soldiers all seeming to be wielding some kind of water or a weapon. Her legs starting to ache from the cold as the ice continued to crawl up her body, she literally had to force herself to run. Her lungs cried out for more air as she could feel the cold continuing to grow. All at once it was as if she was freed from a curse, the Fire General lashing out with a whip of sorts. The scolding hot lava that dripped off the whip burning through the armor of a large number of water soldiers. Apparently the one that had targeted her had died in the process. She pulled out her throwing knives as she took aim at the man she was sent to take out, the Water Cleric. She flung the knife towards the blonde headed man, the Fire general guarding her as his whip continued to lash out at any enemy who targeted her. She could feel his rage, his pent up anger as he attacked the water kingdom. This battle was personal for everyone. She wasted no time in pulling out another knife and lobbing at the man. Only meters separated them, if she could get close enough she could maybe take him out with her flames. The Fire Archivist smiled slightly, she would incinerate him the first chance she got. ACTIONS: Being attacked by two throwing knives. Being targeted by both the Fire Archivist and Fire General.

She was absolutely amazing and he was left in awe. He couldn't help but admire her for not only her power, but her dedication to protecting the room. This not only inspired him to fight for the Rune Room, but it inspired the rest of his comrades as well; he could just tell by the look on her face. A battle cry caught the blonde man's attention, making him quickly turn to a group of water soldiers that were ready to jump at the fire cleric. Not allowing them to get any closer to the woman, the Air Pupil let his strongest ability make itself known. The small group of soldiers suddenly shot up from the ground, momentarily floating several feet off the ground before quickly slamming down. Groans collectively rang through the small group from the painful fall; it didn't help when they felt gravity weighing down on them too much to even get up.
With further concentration, the blonde Pupil forced an excessive amount of gravity upon the small group from the Water kingdom. He was well aware that their own weight was crushing them; they would have a horrible time breathing before dying from lack of air. If he pushed on them further... I'll end their suffering now, he mentally noted as he applied even more gravity upon the group. Gasping screams filled the air for a moment before blending in with the rest of the noise around, the sound of bones crushing faint as blood slowly trickled out of the soldiers' orifices.
The blonde man stared at his handy work for a split second before he barely escaped a swipe from an Earth soldier's sword. A light stinging sensation crawling up his bicep alerted him of the minor fleshwound that the soldier had laid upon. But it didn't matter so much as the Pupil dropped the soldier using the force of gravity again and slit his throat with the soldier's own sword.
His emotions were gnawing at him from the inside as he took on another soldier, this was one being from the Air Kingdom. Guilt wanted to tear him apart, but his sheer stubbornness and will to protect the Rune Room kept the evil sentiment at bay. Mercy could lead to one's death in this war and it was not something he could afford with his role as a protector.
After taking down the the Air soldier, the Air Pupil followed behind the Fire Cleric. While he knew she was more than capable of fighting herself, he would be there as back-up. He had promised himself to that he would protect his comrades and he was planning on doing just that. [/style] |

He could see people fighting and being killed all around him. His eyes searched for the Earth Knight as a source of reassurance but she was nowhere to be found. He was still naïve, still too young and untrained to be on the battlefield. But this is war and he needed to keep moving if he wanted to survive.
The young Pupil advanced through the soldiers but was surprised to see a great torrent of water rushing towards Earth Kingdom soldiers up ahead. He could see the Water Cleric up ahead controlling the water as if it were nothing. He shot the streams of water at soldiers with deadly precision. There were soldiers flying everywhere after being hit by the torrents of water. The Earth Pupil could hear the sickening crunches of bodies hitting the ground .He willed himself to keep moving. To live and perhaps one day return to his small farm and poor family. He may have hated farm life but at least it was not such a deadly profession.
Another torrent of water shot out into the crowd. This time, it was aimed at the Earth Pupil but by some sort of luck, the jet of liquid had missed him. Instead, the Water Cleric had hit the soldier next to him. The water acted as a vacuum and sucked the poor man in. Watching the man die before his eyes seemed to have motivated him in some way. Instincts were kicking in and the Earth Pupil began to think of ways to survive.
Some of the torrents of water the Water Cleric had sent had touched the earth. The pupil now had mud to work with and defend himself. The young man tried to concentrate and stay near the mud for the next time he was attacked.
The snapping of fire brought his attention back to the rune room. Five people had emerged from the room and the pupil could clearly recognize the Earth general being among them. He could see the sad expression on the Earth General’s face but the pupil still felt betrayed. The Earth General was supposed to lead them and fight with them in battle. He was not supposed to be with the enemies.
In front of the group was the source of the fire, the Fire Cleric. She clutched onto a large bound book. Even the Earth Pupil could immediately tell that the book was important. His mind raced. The book was what was in the glass building and it was the source of all this chaos. He wanted to go after the it. But first, he needed to make sure that he lived long enough. [/style]

The cleric had been solely distracted by his first task of attacking the Earth Kingdom and was only spared by death from a blade when he had shifted his stance to send one of his water twisters in a different direction. The blade crossed his path and slid passed his left cheek, which was unprotected by any armor. He felt the sting of the cut as his eyes looked in the direction that the blade had came from. His piercing blue eyes saw the person that was targeting right as another blade came towards him. The cleric did the only thing that came to mind that could save his life, he fell backwards and released any hold over the water and fell into it. He immediately sank into the water and let it cover him completely, let the Fire Hunter and Fire General come after him, even more let the whole fire kingdom try to take him. He was ready, he had made his peace and was prepared to give his all into this batter, the Water Kingdom would have the Rune Room. She could only watch as the water surrounded the man, he seemed as peace, so calm as he was being taking in by the large body of water. She could feel how safe he felt, but in the end this did not heal her. It took everything in her power not to panic, the only thing that saved her was knowing that it was not her that the water was around. Still, the fact that the man just allowed himself to be covered in water both amazed her and worried her. She had seen how he controlled the water and she couldn't help but be in awe, he was a powerful person. Veloel could do nothing but continue watching as the man entered, what she thought was an uneven battle. The Water Cleric kept calm as he shifted his body into a spin under the water, (think Lugia from pokemon) the spin caused the water around him to follow in high speeds and it lifted out of the water, protecting him from any more knife throws for the moment. Following the tornado of water were two other pillars that also shot up out of the water, but these two did just as any tornado would do, they barreled towards the Hunter. While those two were his main attack he settled down the spiral of water that he was in and just used it as a pillar to stand tall over the body of water and hopefully away from danger. The Water Cleric could do close range, but he was not a fan of it, at least this way he could keep some distance between him and his attackers. [/style][/style]

[/style] EPILOGUE
The fighting for the room continued on, but before the group could find out which army won they were kicked out of their past selves. Though right before leaving, there was one past human, the Spirit Pupil who was affected by the minds of those who were sharing with those from the future. This was the day where she had complete lost her mind and went insane from her own powers. The order that left the past was, Valoel, Anima, Eric and then Nemesis. Claiming ValoelShe was the first to be released by the book, the last thing she saw was chaos as she was blindsided by blades flying past her and then the flames from the Fire General. Then was when her, or better yet the Water Cleric lost his life. For a moment she could feel the life slowly leave his body as he feel into the waves of the ocean and and died surround by the water his loved. Valoel's next moments was filled with her gasping for air on the floor of the rune room. She was soaked by an unknown source of water. Little did she know that she had been claimed, then and there by the Water Kingdom. Identified EricHe was freed right after Anima, he hit the floor hard, hard enough to hit his head. Flashes of the past, a different past was shown to him. This time it was of when he was only a boy, a young man who had showed great talent. A talent that would have him taken away from his family to serve as a pupil to his kingdom. (See recent memory on profile.) Identified NemesisShe was the last to be back in the room, on her feat safe and sound. Nemesis would be quite luckily today seeing as all she would leave with a few questions and a faint memory of the feeling that both the book and the rune room was very important to her. So much as that she would be tempted to come back again, countless times to study the room. The room will allow both Anima and Nemesis in at any time, as long as they are alone. FINAL SAY
Due to Spike not having time to post the Admins have decided to close event 03. Everyone will receive 3 residue for their wonderful post, even though no one knew what they were doing.
