I’ll even pay you a visit this week to prove it,” Niall rattled into his phone wedged between his ear and his shoulder, struggling to fish for his wallet and keep Bailey’s leash firmly in hand. He supposed it was a rather difficult matter to hide since his name had been in the papers, but no matter how many times he tried convincing his mother that he had survived the incident at the gallery two days prior, she was still bombarding his cell with worried calls. “Yes, I know. Love you too, bye,” he said rather automatically before ending the call in order to more efficiently pay for his hot dog. Honestly, he was just going to leave his phone back at the condo next time he decided to go out on a relaxing stroll. Replacing the wallet in his pocket for the offending device, the brunette pulled out a crisp twenty and handed it to the street vendor. “Keep the change,” he said with a smile before taking a bite and reveling in the taste of honest to goodness street food – admittedly a guilty pleasure of his.
The Bellamy heir was once again donned in a simple ensemble composed of a T-shirt and blue jeans, his preferred outfit when it came to taking Bailey on her walks. He rounded the corner of the sidewalk, chomping on his hot dog and licking off the stray smear of ketchup that graced the corner of his mouth. The usual layer of smog was rather thin today, letting the bright blue of the sky shine and uplift his mood. Without even thinking, Niall began whistling a Gaelic tune as he and Bailey reached the perimeter of the park and took their preferred path through it. Although outlined by skyscrapers and concrete, it was actually one of the more spacious parks in the area, as well as one of the cleanest. There were also scheduled activities that went on during the week around which he would conveniently schedule these walks for the sheer entertainment of it, such as watching the businessmen do yoga on sunny Wednesday afternoons.
“Here we go, girl,” he told his beloved golden retriever as they reached what he called “their” bench. It sat conveniently under a shady tree that blocked the heat on particularly sweltering afternoons. “We’ll play in a bit, don’t worry,” he said, temporarily tying the leash to the armrest of the bench while he worked on his hot dog in the midst of the peaceful scenery. Seeing Bailey wagging her tail, he broke off a hearty chuck to feed her, grinning at her enthusiastic response.
The brunette let out a small sigh as he reclined into the back of the bench. He really needed this after such a stressful weekend. To think that he as well as all of those other people could have died yesterday was an appalling thought. Taking a look around at the green serenity around him, he couldn’t help but wonder what had happened if he’d bitten the dust. How would the company fare without an heir? How would his mother and father feel? His sister, god knows what she would do, and who would have taken care of Bailey? Those questions legitimately scared him, and made him double think about letting half of his mother’s phone calls in the past day go to voicemail.
Bailey’s loud bark pulled him out of his trance, diverting his attention to his canine companion. She appeared to be very insistent on jumping on the oncoming individual, attempting to run farther than her leash would allow. “Hey now, remember your manners,” he scolded her, only to be completely ignored by the dog. With a slight frown, he gave the leash a tug in order for the pedestrian to safely walk around them. “Sorry about that,” he apologized with sincerity in his green eyes. “She’s not usually like this.”[/style] |

Now where's the photo shoot for the next catalogue going to be tomorrow?" the aquamarine-haired teen asked as she was walking through the park. Today had been her only day to relax in a long while and she was definitely going to make the most of it. Earlier, she had gone around the city doing some exploring for the hell of it. She hadn't lived in the city for too long after all, so she had never actually had a chance to look through every nook and cranny that existed in the city until now. And despite the odd things she found in the city, she actually enjoyed it; not that she would admit that.
As of right now, she was taking a stroll in the park while talking to her agent on the phone. Apparently, deLiAS wanted her to model some more of their clothes for the upcoming catalogue tomorrow. Normally, she wouldn't have a problem with it, but they were seriously being idiots when it came to her schedule. Not only was she now double-booked for two separate photo shoots now, but she had another big shoot for later tomorrow. Morons. They're going to run my career into the ground and it hasn't even started! How can they possibly do this to me of all people?! My dreams of being the next best thing are going to be for naught! the teenager grumbled mentally, a scowl planted on her face.
"Yeah, I know it's a part of my contract to be there, so I am going to be there. Tell them to relax," she growled at her agent, hanging up her phone with an annoyed huff. If she wanted to be reprimanded for her behavior, she would call her mother for that. Her agent was the last one that going to tell her what to do. Maybe I should look into getting another one... I'm sure mother and father wouldn't mind me dipping into my money for a better agent, the aquanette grinned mischievously, completely out of touch with reality.
A bark out of nowhere made the teen girl yelp out of surprise, slapping her hands over her mouth in minor embarrassment. Fae almost glared at the offending canine for barking at her until she saw the owner. Oooh~ He's cute, she gushed mentally as she set herself right, putting a smile on her face. It was time to put on the charms.
"Oh, it's alright~ No harm, no foul. I'm sure she just did that because she wants to play or something. She's so pretty too," hummed the girl with all the sweetness she could muster, patting the dog on the head tentatively before pulling her hand back as calmly as possible. "I just love animals so much. They're one of my most favorites things to read about and such. What's her name?"
Sure, Fae was only sixteen, but she had no problems with flirting with people older than her. In fact, she saw it as a challenge. Not like I can help it; he's hot, she noted, keeping her smile on while she twirled a strand of her aqua locks around her finger.
