Tsuyu was frustrated. No, not frustrated. Angry was probably a better word to describe his emotions at the moment. He had just got off the phone with his father who (surprise, surprise) was calling about his step-mother. Apparently her birthday was coming up and even if he did not attend the party, he still needed to send her a birthday gift.
Tsuyu let out a wry laugh at the thought. Of course he would not be attending. Not when he did not even recieve an invite to one of her extravagant parties. And even if he did invite them, they would not attend. The few times he had actually gone had been when he first arrived in the United States. His step-mother had decided to show them (he and his twin brother, Shou) off to the masses. She was older with no children of her owns so of course she wanted to play the part of the kind, adoptive mother. As the years passed and the bitch realized that she could not change the boys, she began ignoring them instead.
"That's fine by me," Tsuyu muttered to himself. After he had hung up, he began wandering the streets of Los Angeles in an attempt to cool his rage. In his opinion that woman did not deserve everything that she had but what could he do? He was in college and needed someone to foot the bill. He would have to get her a gift even if it killed him.
Tsuyu stopped and lookd at his surroundings. He was downtown, there had to be something here he could buy for the bitch. And by some sheer luck there was a flower shop across the street. Fiorellini, was the name of the store apparently and Tsuyu could see someone walking around inside. "Well I suppose flowers would work well."
Tsuyu stepped off the sidewalk and jogged to the other side of the street before he was hit by any oncoming traffic. He entered the shop and walked straight up to the cashier. "Good morning. Could you please give me a dozen roses? I don't really care about the cost." Roses were a good choice. They were a safe choice. Whether or not his step-mother liked roses was beyond him but he never really cared. He just wanted to get her something and go. We have a couple of melianthus, some amaryllis, but no more white camellias, coreopsis arkansa or myrtles," Cross listed out loud as he scribbled down part of the inventory in a small notepad. He'd have to go collect some later from the garden in the back of the shop; his mother had been smart to plant a flower garden in the back.
As the red-haired man walked about the shop taking the rest of the inventory, he stopped what he was doing when the shop bells jingled. Turning right around towards the door, he was greeted by the sight of a couple of small children timidly walking inside. Cross instantly put a smile on his face as he shoved the notepad into one of the pockets to his apron and approached them. "Hello there. What can I help you two with?" he asked with warmth, the smile never leaving his face.
"Uh... W-We want to buy flowers," the small boy piped up timidly behind the older girl.
"They're for our aunt," the girl clarified, offering a shy smile.
Cross stood there for a moment observing the children before cocking his head to the side. "Hmmm, do you have any flowers in mind?" Both children shook their head at the question. Well, that didn't help out too much.
"C-Can the flowers say "get b-better?"" the little boy questioned, staring around at the multitude of flowers that filled the shop. "S-She was sick."
A grin of joy tugged at Cross's lips, turning around as he walked up to a small arrangement of mix colored carnations that he had made earlier that morning. Grabbing the vase, he presented it to the children. "This should do. A combination of mix-colored carnations represents health and energy, so you'll be wishing your aunt to feel better and for her health to return. It also means pride and beauty too."
The female child grasped onto the vase as the little boy stared at the flowers happily. "So how much is it, mister?"
Shrugging, honey-colored eyes glanced out the window before turning his gaze back to the children. "Hmmm, five dollars should be okay." That being said, the little boy handed over the money before the children gave their thanks and walked out the door.
Cross sighed a little bit as he pulled out the notepad from his pocket and walked right over to the cash register. He had just barely put the five dollar bill into the machine before the bells started jingling again. The red-haired man didn't even look up before a white-haired male asking for roses stood in front of the register.
"A... dozen red roses?" he asked with an eyebrow raised, his voice suddenly very flat and face devoid of emotion. "That's a bit... typical. Are these for a girlfriend or something like that? If you want to say "I love you," there are so many other flowers you could possibly choose from. And I'm sure the lucky woman would be happy to know that you think her unique and special enough if you don't go for the typical dozen red roses."
Moving away from the cash register, Cross moved over to where the violets and tulips sat. "If you want them to feel even more loved, you should probably get her red tulips as they represent your declaration of love for them. Or if you buy her blue violets, they'll represent your love and faithfulness to her. But honestly, don't buy her the boring old roses; do you know how many women get that as a gift from unoriginal men?"
Perhaps I am getting too carried away with this, he noted as he scratched the back of his head in mild discomfort. "Ah, sorry. It's just that flowers could mean so much more and could actually give a message just based on the flower's meaning," the red-headed male explained calmly, a light tinge of red on his cheeks. "Ah, but yes... A dozen red roses coming up."
Despite the fact that he hated the roses, Cross really had to learn to just get people what they want when it comes to flowers.

Tsuyu face contorted into a look of irritation and disbelief at the red head’s words. He was in no mood to be lectured by anyone on which flowers to send, least of all by a stranger. He was already angry after the phone call with his father; the man’s choice of words was only adding fuel to the flames. The idea that he loved his step mother disgusted him. And “unique” and “special”? That woman should consider herself lucky anyone described her that way.
Tsuyu took a deep breath in order to calm himself (it did not really work) and turned to reply to the florist who was now explaining to him the meaning of flowers. In the calmest voice he could muster, Tsuyu explained his situation to florist.
”Sir, first of all I am a single, gay male. I do not have a girlfriend and never will. Secondly, these flowers are for my step mother. I would never want to say ‘I love you’ to a person like her. The only thing the flowers should say, if you can manage it, is something along the lines of ‘I hate you from the very depths of my heart.’” It might not have been the best idea to air out his family’s dirty laundry to this random person, but at this point he no longer cared. Tsuyu took another breath and felt his anger lessen a bit after the rant.
”If I ever need violets and tulips for someone I love, you will be the first to know; until then, I don’t care if they’re unoriginal. Please get me a dozen roses so I can appease my step mother,” Tsuyu resigned. He could feel his anger dissipating.
”Thank you,” Tsuyu sighed when the florist agreed. ”Listen, I’m sorry for taking out my anger on you. It was wrong. Even if my step mother is a bitch...” Tsuyu said the last part under his breath and hoped that the red head did not hear it. It was true though... Maybe this is why Shou always felt the need to follow him around. No. Tsuyu shook his head. He was on his own now. He could not rely on his brother forever.
”Right then... He had seemed rather annoyed by what he could see, so instead of taking any offense from him, Cross simply stood there looking at him. It's not like it was exactly smart of Cross to have jumped to conclusions and ranted at him either. So the flowers were for his step-mother he hated with the very depths of his soul, huh?
Just as he was about to get the dozen red roses the man had asked for, a smile grew on his face as he turned back around. "Actually, I could make you a bouquet saying exactly that," he declared proudly, zipping over to different shelves and plucking a few flowers. "Well, it won't say what you wanted exactly, but it'll be close enough. It'll be along the lines of "I hate you with all my being so you better watch out." I'm sure that would suffice, wouldn't it?" Cross asked with a smile as he took the collection of flowers to a table and began to work on the bouquet.
"Ah, and about the apology, there was really no need for it. I was the one putting my nose into your business, so I should be the one saying sorry. It's not my place to do such a thing," he hummed, flashing the light-haired man an apologetic smile as he cut the stem of a begonia. "Yellow carnations for rejection, peonies for hateful anger, begonias and monkshood to threaten, geraniums for stupidity and basil for unadulterated hatred. All in all, a bouquet of hatred. And since the flowers are all quite beautiful, she wouldn't notice the difference."
There was a sense of joy that rushed through him as he continued with the arrangement. It made him so very happy to make a special bouquet for someone despite the meaning of it. It meant that they were thoughtful enough to have a message behind the flowers. "And for this arrangement, I'd say ten dollars is more than enough. I'll throw in a small bouquet of purple hyacinth for free as an apology from me to you. I truly didn't mean to upset you," he admitted sheepishly.

Tsuyu matched the (good looking, he had to admit) man’s stare and anticipated some sort of rebuke but none came. The florist ceased staring and then turned toward the section with the roses. But nothing could have prepared the white hair male for what the florist would do next.
Tsuyu nearly doubled over in shock when the florist gave him a friendly smile and explained to him that he could actually create a bouquet of hate. Well, of course. Something similar would work fine. He watched with curiosity as the other male plucked a few flowers from the displays and brought them over to the front desk to begin preparing the bouquet.
Then the redhead actually apologized to him despite his outburst. ”You’re apologizing. To me?” Never in the nineteen years of Tsuyu’s life had he ever been the one apologized to when he threw a tantrum. The light haired male could have sworn the world was coming to an end. Tsuyu stood shocked for a moment before joining the man at the counter.
Can flowers really say that? I’ve heard of flowers saying things like “I love you” and “Marry me” but never “I hate you and wish to destroy you”.” Tsuyu glanced at the flowers on the table and had to admit that they were indeed beautiful. ”Wow, thanks. You really saved me. I can be horrible to her and still score brownie points with her.”
Tsuyu pulled out his wallet, ready to give the man the money. ”Are you sure? That seems like a fairly low price. And you really don’t need to throw in the hyacinths as an apology. I shouldn’t have unleashed my rage on you in the first place. You didn’t upset me, it was more my father who called and demanded that I buy my stepmother a present.”
Tsuyu’s mood was back to his cheerful self and he found that he actually enjoyed talking to the florist. The redhead was actually his type too. Shame he wasn’t gay. ”Can I buy a card to go with the bouquet here? If not, I can always just stop at the convenience store along the way. I’m not planning to write anything special but she needs to know it’s from me if I want credit for this. I can see it now, her look that says “the hell?” when she sees that the card says “Tsuyu”. He was more than a little thrilled to see that he was able to perk up this young man even if he had pissed him off only moments ago. Perhaps he hadn't irritated the guy as much as he did; hopefully that's what happened. He'd hate to think he actually pissed off an attractive-looking customer. No, no. He's a customer, so stop staring and do your job, he scolded himself mentally, offering Tsuyu a warm smile. "Well alright then, I won't throw in the hyacinth, but the price is perfectly fine. And again, you don't need to apologize to me. It wasn't my place to meddle," he responded calmly while putting the finishing touches on the bouquet. "As for a card, I have quite a few blank ones on that small stand over there," Cross explained, pointing a finger to the card stand right by a shelves with teddybears in an assortment of colors. Just then, the shop bells chimed again and in came two girls, chatting about something and looking at the flowers. "If you'll excuse me for a moment," he hummed, leaving the white-haired male to go talk to the two females. Cross knew he was in for a hell of a time the moment he started talking to these two women. The very first thing that happened was that they very obviously started checking him out much to his annoyance. Then they proceeded to give him flirty looks while playing with their hair while asking about flowers for a friend of theirs. Unfortunately for him, they didn't stay very much on topic as one of the two girls latched onto his arm. "Oooh~ You must work out or something. Just feeling your muscles through your shirt... You probably have to keep all the girls at bay, right?" the girl asked with a flirty expression, running her hand up and down his arm. The red-headed florist felt like twitching at this point. Actually, he probably physically twitched when the other girl latched onto his other arm and started gushing over him as well. I really hate this... he frowned mentally, trying desperately to keep calm and not do anything he may regret. "Um... So you wanted flowers for your friend right?"Much to his dismay, they didn't relent in their flirting. At this point, he was really annoyed with them. But instead of blowing up at them in anger like he wanted to at the moment, he decided to calm himself down and just pulled away from them. There was no way in hell he was letting them touch him again right now; their pouty hurt faces weren't going to convince him to change his mind either. "I'm gay," the florist deadpanned, looking at the girls straight in the face. There was a small part of him that was highly satisfied at their shocked faces, but he didn't let that satisfaction reach his face. However, he was immediately annoyed when one of the girls started laughing at him and said that was an entertaining joke before flirting with him again. Why can't they take a hint? he growled mentally, a frown marring his face. It was times like these that he wished he had a boyfriend. WORDS. 000 TAG. tsuyu s. [atrb=valign, top][STYLE= font-family: franklin gothic medium; font-size: 11px; line-height: 85%; text-align: center; color: #666;]❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞[/style][STYLE= width: 250px; border-right: #373737 dashed 01px; border-left: #373737 dashed 01px; border-top: #373737 solid 10px; border-bottom: #373737 solid 10px; padding: 10px; background: #fafafa; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; color: #6f6f6f; font-family: tahoma;] Tsuyu looked in the direction the red head was pointing at and saw an assortment of decorations and stuffed animals to go with bouquets. ”Thanks,” Tsuyu replied excitedly. ”And of course, go ahead. Do your job.” He was perfectly content looking through the cards while the florist helped other customers. Even if he wanted to keep the red head for himself, he was still at work so that obviously wouldn’t have been plausible.
The white haired, young man did his best to tune out the conversation between the florist and the two flirtatious female customers and in his opinion he was doing a damn good job at it too. He had just found an acceptable card (there was no way in hell he was going to add a teddy bear into the gift) when he heard one of the girls cooing over the florist’s muscles. Out of the corner of his eye he could see the girl run her long, manicured fingers over the red haired male’s arm.
Tsuyu could hear the florist politely try and turn their attention away from him, but they (the two skanks) did not seem to care. The two women only seemed to toughen their resolve and flirt with the poor florist more aggressively than before. Tsuyu could see the pouts on their faces underneath all the heavy makeup and he had to say, he did not find them attractive at all. He may be gay but he still had an eye for beauty and they were not as great as they probably thought they were.
It irritated Tsuyu to see the blatant flirting of course, but there was nothing he could do about it. He may not have the best control over his impulses but he knew enough to respect other people’s sexualities and the florist obviously was not gay.
But then he heard it. They were two simple words and they gave Tsuyu hope and joy. The florist was gay and it made him incredibly happy to hear that. He might actually have a chance!
Then came the cackling and Tsuyu could once again feel his blood boil. One of the bitches had dared to assume that the florist was joking about his sexuality. The blatant disrespect for another human being’s personal space and his sexuality angered Tsuyu. (That and maybe, the fact that he did not want the skank to destroy his hopes and dreams may have added to it.)
And then Tsuyu snapped. He moved before he thought because that is what Tsuyu did.
Tsuyu placed the card he had chosen on the counter and walked up to the trio. ”Honey,” Tsuyu practically crooned because he did not know the florist’s name. Tsuyu wrapped his arms around the man and stared into his eyes with a grin. ”My mother approves of our engagement, we can get married!”
Then to show off their (fake) newly engaged bliss, Tsuyu brought their lips together in a kiss. Tsuyu had to admit, even if the red head might hate him for this afterward, the kiss was absolutely magical. The white haired male parted his lips and glided his tongue over the other man’s bottom lip in order to coax him to give him entrance. A little more tongue never hurt anyone.
Tsuyu was pleased when he saw the women’s horrified faces. It made him even happier when they quickly left the store. When they were finally far enough way, Tsuyu unwillingly let go of the man. It was then that he fully realized what he had done.
”Sorry about that,” Tsuyu muttered sheepishly. ”I’m sure you didn’t appreciate me jumping you like that when we don’t even know each other’s names but I couldn’t stand those two women. Anyway,” Tsuyu drawled. “So you’re gay, huh?” Tsuyu looked at the red head expectantly with a mischievous grin on his face. If Tsuyu had his way, he would be seeing this florist a lot more in the future. In fact, he had been just about ready to kick them out of the shop. However, he was given a huge and highly pleasant surprise before he could tell them off.
Just as he was about to tell off the two women, the white-haired customer suddenly appeared in front of him and hugged him. This, of course, left the red-headed florist absolutely baffled as the man went on about their engagement. What the living hell was this man going on ab- Oh, he was helping him out, wasn't he? Thank goodness someone's kind enough to help! he thought gratefully as he let himself relax at the other's touch. Having figured out that the man (Tsuyu's his name, isn't it?) was helping him out, Cross gave the man a grin as a way of showing thanks and went along with it. That is, until the guy kissed him.
Now don't get him wrong, he was fine with the kiss. More than fine with it, actually. There was just something a little bit different about it. Cross had been kissed quite a few times before, but it was really nothing like this. Most of the kisses he had experienced were short and sweet. There was nothing really extraordinary about them. This kiss, however, was quite the opposite of it. Not only had Cross not been the one to initiate it, Tsuyu had used his tongue and that had sent a torrent of shivers up and down Cross' spine. So for a moment, the redhead allowed himself to forget about the horrible female customers.
When Tsuyu pulled away from him (much to Cross' chagrin), the florist was pretty sure his face was as red as his hair. It's not that he was embarrassed per se; it was most like he highly enjoyed it and he had to cling to all of his self-restraint to keep himself from possibly jumping the male in front of him. So to calm himself, Cross cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head bashfully. "Ah, it's... Um, uh... D-Don't worry about it, Ts-Tsuyu," the florist fumbled verbally. "I... I didn't mind the kiss at all."
By this time, he had managed to calm himself enough so he didn't look like a red-faced idiot. However, that grin on Tsuyu's face along with the question made a tiny bit flustered, but he had more self-control than that. "Yes. I'm gay," he paused momentarily, a teasing grin tugging at his lips. "But I'm sure you don't mind that I am, do you, Tsuyu?" As silly as it was, his little teasing joke was his roundabout way of flirting. He never really was one for being so obviously flirtatious.
A thought occurred to him then and it made the redhead want to slap himself on the head. He had never really introduced himself to Tsuyu due to his meddlesome streak. Nonno would've had my tail for being rude and not introducing myself, Cross laughed at himself.
"Ah, how rude of me. I know your name, but you don't know mine. My name is Crossificio, but Cross for short," he hummed calmly, sending a warm smile at Tsuyu as he grabbed the white-haired male's hand and kissed it. "I can't thank you enough for saving me from those women. It's quite annoying when they're so persistent, but I'm glad I had someone so handsome to help me out. And I really can't think of a proper way of saying "thank you," so I hope you don't mind..." Cross paused, moving in closer to Tsuyu and holding his shoulders while kissing him on the lips. Instead of typically doing a brief kiss on the lips, Cross happily replied to Tsuyu's previous advances by biting on Tsuyu's lip playfully.
It was really a lame excuse to start kissing Tsuyu, but Cross was going to take it. Even though they really didn't know much about each other, the florist couldn't help but feel highly attracted to the white-haired male. Besides, he could really get used to these wonderful kisses.

Even if he had embarrassed the red head (at least he assumed he did), Tsuyu did not regret the kiss. That single kiss had been wonderful and seeing this adorable side of the florist was just icing on the cake for him. Tsuyu grinned at the florist’s admittance to enjoying the kiss. Okay, so he did not really say he enjoyed it but he did say he didn’t mind it which was close enough.
Tsuyu felt his grin widening when the florists confirmed his sexuality. He might actually have a chance! No, he had more than a chance. He had an opportunity laid out on a silver platter for him if the red head’s teasing words were any indication. ”Of course not,” Tsuyu replied. ”Like I said, I’m a single, gay male. I would never mind it when an attractive man shares my preference for other males.”
”Cross,” Tsuyu repeated to make sure that he remembered the name. Although he doubted that he’d forget it anytime soon. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you too.” Tsuyu swore he was swooning when Cross bent down to kiss his hand. A chivalrous man was hard to come by these days and Tsuyu was lucky enough to have one flirting with him. To say that he was happy was an understatement.
”It really was my pleasure. Those two women were getting on my nerves as well.” Tsuyu could feel himself redden a bit at being called handsome. He rarely received such compliments and coming from someone like Cross made him feel butterflies. At least now he understood why little girls loved it when the prince did this to the princess.
Tsuyu was about to tell Cross that there was no need for any sort of thank you but then Cross’ lips were on his and he was drawn into another tantalizing kiss with the red head. Tsuyu wrapped his arms around the man and deepened the kiss by repeating his earlier action; he gently ran his tongue over the other male’s bottom lip, encouraging him to reciprocate with his own tongue. If anyone saw them, he did not care. All he cared about at the moment was that he continued kissing this gorgeous male.
Tsuyu allowed the red head to continue “thanking” him for a few moments longer before he separated them in order to catch his breath. As much as he would have loved to go further he had just met the man. The gorgeous, delicious… Why was he hesitating again? Nonetheless, Tsuyu brought himself close to Cross’ ear and whispered. ”I’m glad you appreciate what I’ve done for you but aren’t we moving a bit fast?” Tsuyu’s ever present grin returned as he spoke. “We haven’t even been on our first date yet. I’d love to go somewhere fun,” Tsuyu teased. For a moment, he actually regretted his behavior for the fact that perhaps coming on too strongly would frighten off the man. However, when he felt the white-haired man hold onto him and deepen the kiss, the redhead was more than glad that he had actually gone ahead and kissed Tsuyu.
The florist felt like melting and taking the blue-eyed man against a counter when Tsuyu licked at his lips again. He's going to be the end of me and I don't even care, he noted happily. However, a pout formed on his face the minute Tsuyu pulled away from him. For all the self-restraint he had, he couldn't help but want more. But then again, he was still at work after all, and his grandfather would be ashamed if Cross allowed himself to get sidetracked while the flower shop was still open. That wouldn't do at all. Although, that didn't stop the strong attraction he had to the white-haired man. Goodness, he sure was attractive.
Just as Cross was going to pull away to collect himself and continue on with business, he stood stock still when Tsuyu whispered into his ear. In all honesty, the redhead felt like blushing all over again. He was pretty sure that Tsuyu was teasing him, but the fact that he stated that they haven't had their first date yet was what got to him the most.Does this mean...? He really wants to go on a date with me? he mentally questioned, a smile growing on his face at the thought of getting to spend more time with the male in front of him.
"I suppose we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves," the florist chuckled. "And I surely wouldn't mind doing something fun with you; it would certainly help in getting to know you better. Sadly, I don't have much time today or tomorrow, so maybe we can plan something in the next few days. If we manage to keep in contact after all."
An idea struck him then, making him excited. The florist quickly zipped to a few shelves, plucking a flower here and there before returning to Tsuyu. "Lilacs for sparking emotions, Gillyflowers for affection and beauty, Hawthorns for hope," he paused, presenting the small bouquet to Tsuyu. "And white clover and pansies... so you'll think of me." |
[/b] Cross took this moment to pull the white-haired male to him and gave him another kiss, this one short and sweet. He quickly pulled away from him to then place Tsuyu a quick peck on the cheek. As cheesy as it was, Cross really did hope Tsuyu loved the flowers. But if he didn't, oh well. At least I got to kiss him again, he grinned mentally. WORDS. 000 TAG. tsuyu s. It was absolutely adorable. The smile that grew on the florist’s face after he proposed the date was also very attractive. Tsuyu thanked his lucky stars. Today was turning out to be a better day than he had expected.
But the best part of it was when Cross agreed to going on the date. Tsuyu felt his grin growing bigger if that was even possible. He was so incredibly happy at the moment; it was a huge contrast from earlier when he was in a rage over his father and his step-mother. He reminded himself to call Shou later on to share the good news. He and Shou shared everything about each other so it was only natural that whenever he was excited or upset about something, he let his twin know.
”It’s all right if you’re busy the next few days. I can understand because of work and all that,” Tsuyu replied. However the last part of Cross’ statement upset him a bit. Perhaps he was reading too much into it, but what did the florist mean by if. Did that mean that this was not going to work? Granted, he only just met the man but he truly did feel attracted to him and wanted to try this. Was he going to spurn him later on? Tsuyu cleared that thought from his mind and tried to keep his emotions in check (but really, how well could a person as emotional as he was control his feelings?) before continuing.
He was about to ask Cross what he wanted to do when the red head turned away from him and began excitedly pulling flowers from the shelves. When the white haired male heard Cross’ explanation of the flowers’ meanings, any doubts he might have had were cleared. Tsuyu may not know much about flowers but based on the ones that the florist had picked out, there was no doubt that he was interested in him. The small kisses that he received afterwards helped as well.
Tsuyu took the white and purple bouquet from Cross and looked at them in astonishment. Not because it was the first time he had ever received flowers from anyone (because it was), but more so because he never realized how happy a person could make him just from giving him something as simple as flowers.
Tsuyu could feel his face flush a deep shade of red he held onto the flowers. Turning to Cross, Tsuyu reached out his free arm to envelope the other male in a quick hug. ”Thank you.’ Then as if realizing that he was being a bit too emotionally intimate with a stranger, Tsuyu pulled away and look away abashed. ”So, let me give you my number and we can decide where we want to go for our date.”

And goodness, he looked so damn cute with a blush on his face; he'd be sure to commit that adorable image to memory. I wonder what else could make him blush, Cross wondered to himself as Tsuyu hugged him. His thoughts were briefly interrupted when the white-haired man pulled away and looked even more embarrassed. It made him want to just embrace him and hold him close, but that would definitely have to wait for later.
They were still strangers and all that, after all. So what if they had kissed already more than a few times? Though, it didn't help the fact that Cross wanted to kiss Tsuyu again, but he would restrain himself… for now.
Moving away from the white-haired male for a moment, the golden-eyed florist pulled a business card and pen off the counter. Turning it around in its backside, he scrawled his personal number across the back of the card before handing it over to Tsuyu with a smile. "I currently don't have my phone on me, but here. You can call or text me whenever you like; I really won't hesitate to answer you," he hummed happily, a smile still on his face as he gave him a wink. "And if you're ever looking for me, I'll probably be here looking after the shop or maybe across the street. I live in that apartment building after all, so if you feel the need to drop by, you know where to find me."
That being said, Cross turned right around and grabbed the flower arrangement that he prepared for Tsuyu's step-mother and handed it to him. "I hope I was able to cheer you up a little bit on this day. If your step-mother is as dreadful as you make her out to be, I wish you luck," he hummed with a smile, trying to hide the fact that he kind of wished Tsuyu would linger around for a little while longer. But he had to run the flower shop, which meant no distractions while he was at work.
But he could still wish for it anyways, right?

[atrb=valign, top][STYLE= font-family: franklin gothic medium; font-size: 11px; line-height: 85%; text-align: center; color: #666;]❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞[/style][STYLE= width: 250px; border-right: #373737 dashed 01px; border-left: #373737 dashed 01px; border-top: #373737 solid 10px; border-bottom: #373737 solid 10px; padding: 10px; background: #fafafa; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; color: #6f6f6f; font-family: tahoma;] Tsuyu gave the red headed florist a wide smile and accepted the card gratefully. ”It’s alright,” he replied when Cross informed him that he did not have his phone with him. I’ll be sure to text you. If I get the chance, expect something from me later on tonight.” Tsuyu did consider after the fact that calling so soon may have seemed like he was desperate. At least that was what he was advised by his friends in high school. But like most other things, Tsuyu just shrugged it off and continued letting words out of his mouth without a verbal filter.
”Of course, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind. And if you really don’t mind me dropping by once in a while I’ll be sure to visit you when I get the chance. I hate staying in the apartment for long hours at a time anyway,” Tsuyu said playfully. The white hair male doubted that he would forget the location of this flower shop anytime soon. And even if he did, he still had the business card with Cross’ phone number safely tucked away in his wallet. No, this was one relationship that he felt extremely compelled to chase and he would do everything in his power to try and make it work out.
The younger male shifted his arms and belongings to make room for the (angry and hateful) flower bouquet he was giving his step-mother. If he was kinder he might have appreciated the fact that it was his step-mother and her birthday that brought them together, but knowing that woman she would just disapprove of Cross anyway. ”Well, I certainly am a lot happier than when I first walked into the shop. And thank you, I’m going to need all the luck I can get with her,” the younger male said with distaste. ”I hope you never meet her either. Trust me, you really don’t want too.”
Tsuyu stole a glance at his watch and noted that he had little time to drop off the bouquet before getting back to the university for class. ”It’s time for me to go. I’ve got just enough time to drop off her flowers and get to my Calculus III class. I’ll talk to you later.”
He really did not want to leave but the man was working and he did have class so they needed to part. Tsuyu gave the florist one last brilliant smile before leaving the store.
