[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] New to Los Angeles, Genevieve is currently renting a single bedroom apartment in the city's west end. The apartment is nice and is a short walk from both the university campus and the beach. However, Genevieve abhors being alone and is currently thinking about buying a pet to keep her company.
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Appearance
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] At approximately 5'8”, Genevieve stands tall and proud. She has long, elegant limbs and a well-toned and lean body from years of dance and fencing training. Above all else, Genevieve has the utmost respect for her body and enjoys being active. As a matter of fact, this young woman has trouble sitting still! She has an incredible pain tolerance and does not often complain when she is sore. This is a person who is used to pushing themselves to the limit - both physically and mentally - and she will not stop until she reaches her goals and achieves her dreams. Genevieve has a fairly long face with high, well defined cheekbones, a straight nose and thin, pale lips. Her skin is fair, though appears darker than it actually is due to the contrast against her light, white-blonde hair. Her hair is quite thin, but its length and natural wave provide the illusion of volume. Almost touching her hips, Genevieve's hair is long and she loves it.
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Personality
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] Kind-hearted and compassionate, Genevieve wants to change the world. She believes that the world is a harsh and cruel place and wishes to alleviate the pressures of society from her loved ones. That is what sparked Genevieve's interest in medicine - she wants to make a positive difference and help touch as many people's lives as she can; she wants to help preserve life and keep families together. Although Genevieve has many (if not all) of the stereotypical 'pre-med' traits - such as determination, stubbornness, time management and critical thinking - it is her empathy that sets Genevieve apart from her peers, for this young woman shows genuine concern for everyone who crosses her path. It is her remarkable bedside manner and unparalleled ability to read people that continues to lead her to success. What will likely be Genevieve's downfall, however, is the fact that she shuts people out. This young woman has practically mastered the art of masking her own emotions and pretending that everything is 'okay'. She is highly sensitive and takes matter personally, but no one would not be able to tell by the way she carries herself - with sparkling blue eyes and a warm smile, it is difficult to believe that everything is not as it seems. Always putting others before herself has made Genevieve believe that her own issues are trivial and should not concern others. There are many a night Genevieve spends alone in her room with the lights off, trying to fight her demons. Ironically, that is what Genevieve hates the most: being alone. Constantly pushing herself and trying to become a better person has left Genevieve vulnerable - she hates being alone but does not open up and does not want to burden her loved ones. Living behind her mask of a smile, no one knows that what is eating away at her on the inside. No one knows that Genevieve always feels lonely, even when out with her friends. No one knows that Genevieve believes that she is never going to be good enough; nor would anyone believe the amount of self-loathing that this bright young woman feels towards herself. This is part of the reason Genevieve keeps busy and focuses on those around her... because it is so much easier to fix other people's problems then deal with your own.
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] History
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] Genevieve was born at 10:45pm in the middle of a snowstorm on Friday, February 15th, 1991. She is the eldest of two children and only daughter of Klaus Klingemann and his wife, Alyssa Klingemann (nee: Styles). Genevieve's younger brother, Sebastien Wolfgang Klingemann, was born almost three years after his sister on November 13th, 1993. At the age of four, Genevieve's parents enrolled her in dance classes, and the little girl instantly fell in love. The elaborate costumes, the music, the hours of practice and sweat and hard work - Genevieve loved it all! From the moment the child stepped onto the dance floor, something clicked and Genevieve knew that dance would be part of her life for a very long time. Genevieve continued to dance throughout her childhood until she turned fifteen. Being non-conforntational, Genevieve found dance as her escape was was able to express how she was feeling through her movements. Some days, it was the only thing that kept her sane. Nothing could describe the power Genevieve felt when she leapt through the air or nailed the perfect pirouette - she was in total control and nothing could bring her down. With parents that have always been supportive and encouraging, Genevieve was quick to approach them after a fateful gym class in the ninth grade. After being taught by a substitute teacher who was a former national fencing champion, Genevieve's interest in the sport peaked and for the first time in her life, she wanted to try something that wasn't dance. Although slightly skeptical at first, Genevieve's parents allowed her to begin by taking one fencing class a week. But that didn't last long. After a transition period of about four months, Genevieve's rigorous schedule filled with 10 hours of dance and studio time was traded for 14 hours of fencing and cross training. With her years of dance training, Genevieve was nimble and light on her feet, able to pick up intricate footwork quickly. Behind her mask and handling a foil gave Genevieve a feeling of power, though it took some time for Genevieve to get used to being offensive and aggressive against her opponents. Eventually, Genevieve learned to channel her emotions into her sport. With years worth of pent up anger and frustration, she has learned to channel these feelings into her fencing, making Genevieve a fierce opponent. Genevieve was able to balance her workload and fencing throughout high school, maintaining her GPA and interest in science. That's one of the reasons she chose to attend Columbia - she was able to stay with her parents in suburban New York while attending university and keep up with her fencing training. Upon being accepted to medical school in Los Angeles, however, Genevieve was forced to step back and evaluate her options. Although she was talented with a foil and it was her emotional release, she knew that medical school would provide her with opportunities that her sport could not. Although her attention - especially of late - has shifted from fencing to medicine, Genevieve is boarding a plane to LA in April with her favourite blade packed safely in her luggage and plans to continue balancing her athletics and academics.
