To the people on the street, she was just that: an ordinary woman. A rather large chested woman, but nothing out of the ordinary and that was how it was supposed to be. Kei was currently traversing the streets of Los Angeles as a plain clothes policewoman. Ever since the body of that young girl was found mutilated in the streets of Los Angeles, the entire city has been on edge, therefore the entire police department needed to be as well. All of this was just added stress on their already underfunded, understaffed, and overworked department. And while the Japanese woman was responsible enough to perform her duty, it was just one of those days where she was just so tired and fed up with the world that she wished she could take a day off and gorge herself on chocolate. Or ice cream. Or both, now that she considered it. Shit, was it that time again? She had not been paying attention to her schedule, and considering all the stress on her body, it would not be considered abnormal if her body went haywire again, so it very well could be that time of the month.

Kei sighed and ran a hand through her hair in frustration. It was a good thing that she told Kyoko that they should work separately for a day. She loved that girl and was usually rather patient towards her but today was just not a good day. She really did not want to snap at her partner in the off chance that something set her off while she was in this mood.

And so Kei wandered, and kept her eye out for anything suspicious when in reality she was just shopping in the streets of Little Tokyo and contemplating getting something to eat while she "worked". She had hoped that her day would continue like this for the rest of her shift: peaceful and uneventful. Sadly, things were not to be.

The Japanese woman was walking towards a sushi restaurant to get some food when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. In one of the less traveled alleyways behind a restaurant, several young men were gathered around a lone Japanese man. It could have been nothing or it could have been anything. And sadly for the policewoman, it meant that she needed to make sure nothing was going on before she could continue on.

Kei eyed the group warily. They were so fixated on the lone man that they did not notice her. After a moment, Kei had even thought that nothing would go on. But then they started fighting and all that went to hell.

The woman cursed before running toward the group. As per protocol, Kei announced herself with a loud shout of, "Police," as she made the motion to grab her gun from its holster. The attackers fled when they saw her coming leaving only the young Japanese man for her to deal with. Before the young man could flee, Kei reached a hand out and grabbed him by the back of his shirt to prevent him from escaping. "Hold it. Want to explain to me what just happened here?"
