He doesn't mind it, and actually loves having a job where he can really work with his hands. He distributes his furniture to other retailers and doesn't have an actual shop of his own.

[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] ► Likes: ✓ Winter ✓ The Cold ✓ The Outdoors ✓ The Ocean ✓ Fishing ✓ Drinking out with friends ✓ Rural areas ✓ Animals ► Dislikes: × Most Canines × The Heat × Summer × Being Pacified/Hushed × People who don't know how to have a good time × Swimming × Being cooped up inside × Busy cities Barret's self-esteem is through the roof. This doesn't mean that he's cocky or arrogant, though at times he can come off that way. The man does love to gloat. But, it more or less just means that he believes he can do anything if he tries hard enough and that he never talks himself down. He will also never talk anyone else down, though his boasting may make it seem as if he's trying to belittle you. He often calls people out, but it's more for fun than anything. He'll try anything once and is a bit foolhardy. Barret does have a loud, deep, booming voice. He loves to tell tales as he did in his youth and just to hang out with the guys. Around women, he's just as confident as usual, but often gets shot down since he doesn't really know how to treat a lady. He's just as physical and rough with them as he is with the guys. He loves his beer and will drink until he is red in the face if he gets the chance/has the money. He's a pretty fun guy, but doesn't know when to stop talking when he's drunk. Due to the extended period of time he had spent in solitude, Barret has lost a good portion of his sanity. His thoughts are sporadic at times, and he is paranoid of wolves seeking him out to chase him away and attack him. Because of this, even disembodied howls and/or barks can set him off. No, he isn't crazy, per say... Just eccentric and paranoid. At times, he will go outside and sleep on the bare ground; no tent, no pillow or covers. It's often more comfortable for him than a bed or couch.

[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] As a child, Barrett grew up the youngest son out of a family with four boys. On the contrary to how most brothers are with each other, Barrett and his siblings were a very tight group who got along swimmingly. The Reeves family lived in a three room cottage in the mountains. One large room served as the lounging area/family room, while the other two were bedrooms; one for the kids and the other for their parents. Out back, a good ways away from the cabin, was an outhouse. Every few days, for repairs, or just for building a fire, Barret and his father and siblings trekked down into the forest at the mountain's base in order to chop lumber. He started chopping at a young age; He was about eight when he held the axe in his hands for the first time. They always made a good time out of their excursions, telling stories and jokes, and just laughing the hours away. Then, when they returned home, Barrett's mother would cook up a meal from the hunting his older siblings and father did, and there would be more story telling and laughing. In Barret's opinion, it was the best life anyone could ever have. Great food, a great family, a roof over your head... It was perfect. On Barret's thirteenth birthday, his father took him out early to have a bit of one on one bonding time. They brought their axes and fishing poles with them as they headed out. They hiked on over to the old frozen pond and went ice fishing. The sun moved over head as the hours passed and they had both lost track of time. Barret landed one last fish before bringing his gaze to the sky and urging his father for them to head home. He made him beg for a while, saying he was old enough to stay up after dark, and that he shouldn't be scared. Eventually, he gave in and the two started toward their cabin. The truth was, Barrett had been pleading to head home because he was tired, not scared. That last fish was much harder to bring in than it should have been and he could hardly keep his eyes open. As they walked, he trailed sluggishly behind his father... and then everything went black. Barrett collapsed, the unstable snow beneath him giving way and sending him tumbling down the side of the mountain. Luckily for him, a tree broke his fall. His father continued on, oblivious to it all. Barrett regained consciousness long enough to hear his father talking to the air about how that bear had him cornered however many years ago before his lights went out again. When he awoke, he had a throbbing headache and couldn't feel his legs. Blinking his eyes open, he realized he was hanging upside down, all of the blood being drained from his lower body and flooded into his head. He made his way down from the tree and retrieved his tools, but there was no way back up the mountain from here. No matter how determined he may have been to return home, he could do nothing but wander the ravine he had found himself in. There was a small, frozen over body of water that he found suitable for fishing, and with his axe, he was able to fashion himself a simple shelter. At least he managed to survive, though he had been chased away from his perfect spot by hungry wolves a few times when he was cooking fish. Down in this valley he lived, unable to return to his family. Days, weeks, years passed. After ten years, he was so accustomed to life in the wilderness, that when he finally was found, it took him a while to conform with society. Annoyed with the hustle and bustle of busy cities, he yearned to go back to the mountains and live how he knew how to live. He managed to fight the temptation, but left the city anyway in order to find himself. He traveled all over the United States, and eventually wound up settling down in Los Angeles. He hated it there, considering the heat, but he loved the ocean and he wanted to find a busy town to live in so that he could learn to be a modern man. For whatever reason, he never saw his brothers or parents again. Thoughts and memories of his family are now remembered as if they were fables."What a nice story. If only it were true."
