[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] William is currently studying Creative Writing and Education at UCLA, which takes up the majority of his time. When he's not studying or at school, he works at a bar downtown, learning the art of bartending as well as he can to pay his way through college. He actually quite enjoys being a bartender. He gets most of his tips from younger women, as they quite like how short he is. They find it 'adorable', which hurts his pride, but it is what it is, and it pays well.
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Personality
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] [+] OUTGOING - William is nothing short of outgoing. Although he may have his occasional moods when he'd rather punch someone in the face than entertain them with his presence, for the vast majority of the time, he enjoys being around people and he isn't afraid to talk to them first and to start up odd conversations with them, usually by asking random questions just for the fun of it. He enjoys friends, parties, fairly crowded places.. as long as he doesn't get crammed in there until he suffocates and dies. That'd be unpleasant. [+] AMBITIOUS - He knows what he wants and he isn't afraid to go after it. However, he's also not an idiot. While ambition may be a downfall to some, causing them to do things they aren't too proud of or pile skeletons in their closets, William has little interest in getting his hands dirty while he works up to where he wants to be. He isn't going to do anything too risky, and if something sounds illegal, he'll stay clear of it. His ambition is very cautious. [+] INTELLIGENT - He's smarter than he acts. He knows what he's doing, and he knows how to do it. He makes extremely good grades with just a touch of effort and he's generally fairly observant. Generally, of course. Most of his intelligence goes along with street-smarts or book-smarts. Observation is a bit trickier for him. He can be rather preoccupied in his head. His thoughts move very quickly and he tends to jump around in his speech, which tends to make him look idiotic.. which is something he rolls with. [?] CURIOUS - William is extremely curious, which may be a good or a bad thing, depending on the subject. While most may tell him that curiosity killed the cat, William is on the strict belief that satisfaction brought it back, and he's extremely stubborn when he wants to know something about someone, or something. This sort of curiosity is encouraged in studies and school, but his blunt and often crude manners make it a downfall when dealing with people themselves. [?] PROUD - This could be good or bad. While he avoids being completely arrogant, he has issues asking other people for help, and he insists on being self-reliant, even when he shouldn't be. He hates thinking that he's weaker or less talented or less intelligent than anyone else, and in his opinion, asking for help proves that he is. He won't go around, boasting that he's smarter than you are, but if something proves you're better than him, he'll likely stay clear of it or accept with some serious unhappiness going on. [?] LOGICAL - Logic can help in many things. It helps him not overreact to things or get upset over trivial issues that he can fix, or that don't really matter too much. It can help him keep a level head when dealing with friends' issues and help them out of it. However, it also can prevent him from allowing himself to feel upset about anything serious. If something happens, he'll ease himself down by thinking that it could have been much worse, and that he actually has no right to feel upset about trivial things, when he knows much worse could happen. He pushes things down until he's ready to burst, and when he does, it isn't pretty. [-] PESSIMISTIC - The world is a terrible place, and he's well aware of that. While he has no reason to be bitter about the world, as he's had few hardships of his own, he's aware of the ones around him, and he doesn't care for people who aren't. He doesn't understand naive optimism, to believe the best in people and ignore the worst. He can see either side, but he settles on the worst sides of people, because honestly, those are the parts you need to be aware of, in his opinion. [-] BLUNT - He lacks a filter. Severely. It isn't that he can't stop himself from saying something, usually, it's just that he doesn't care enough to stop himself. To be honest, he likes watching peoples' reactions to his questions, and he likes asking them. His bluntness is the main downside of his curiosity, because while some people may wonder inappropriate things about the people around them, they don't usually ask. William quits the middle-road of wondering, and just gets it out of the way. Honestly, where's the harm in that? [-] MANIPULATIVE - He's a master of deception, though you'd expect otherwise.. which is likely because he intends for you to think otherwise. He certainly acts a lot stupider than he is. He does this to disarm people. Honestly, if he wants to hurt someone, he doesn't want them to think he's going to do so. Because really, he's just not the type, right? He has no trouble with manipulating people into giving him what he wants, one way or another, as long as he doesn't get caught doing it.
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] History
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] Compared to most, William's life is fairly boring, it has always been fairly boring. He was born into a middle class Navy household in Washington state with three older siblings, two sisters and a brother. His parents were close, at least at the time, and they lived fairly happily there until he was about four, when his father retired from the Navy and the family moved down to Dallas, Texas. Family surrounded Texas, which William rather enjoyed. He liked his cousins and his aunts and uncles and grandparents. At the time, his family was his contact with his outside world, as he was homeschooled at the time. His little brother was born when he was six. William didn't really like him much. He looked like a potato and he wasn't any fun to play with. He'd just get into trouble when he made him cry with his squeaky alien that he got from the carnival that one time, or when he poked him in the face and tugged him around the house. It wasn't his fault he couldn't walk yet, and it certainly wasn't fault that he was boring as hell. Seriously. What did one do with babies? But William did grow up, eventually. His parents distanced from each other steadily until it was obvious to the kids that something was wrong between them. Around that time, however, William and his older sister had finally convinced them to send them to public school. It was a good escape from home, at least. They flourished in the company of others, while their parents attempted to work things out. Not too well, however. His father lost his job when he was entering the eighth grade, and they moved to Tennessee for another. A sudden change, but William went along with it fairly well. His little brother, not so much. He was back to being homeschooled by mid-year. It was in the middeschool there that William had his first little crush, on a boy in his own grade, taller than himself. It didn't last long, but his sister had noticed. She advised him to keep it to himself for now. Neither knew if their parents would were okay with such a thing, but with significant Religious views from their childhood, neither thought it would go over well. He kept that secret until his junior year in highschool. Along with the stress of his sister getting married and his parents' poor relationship, it had slipped out, somehow, at some point. He hardly remembers now, how it came to be, but it was out, and that was what mattered. Surprisingly enough, his parents didn't particularly mind. His mother was concerned he'd get jumped at school, his father ... was oddly absent and seemed to ignore it, but William preferred that to something violent or something. He had always had a penchant for writing, so it wasn't much of a surprise when he aimed to go to college for just that. However, his senior year, his parents decided that would be the year they divorced. He moved with his mother back to Texas, and had to wait a year to start university. When he did, he applied for UCLA, trying to be as far from the stress and family as he possibly could get without breaking his bank account. He's never really had a sexual encounter before. No kissing, and definitely nothing else. He claims to be focusing on his studies.
