[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Currently studying his second year in the school of nursing in the UCLA, while simultaneously working as a part-time assistant in a veterinary not far from the East-side area. He enjoys his part-time job way more than he enjoys his studies, which has made him dream with becoming a veterinarian and opening his own clinic in the area one day.

[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] Although Yves considers himself an introverted person, he has an easy-going personality, which usually helps him get around no matter how awkward he might be. He enjoys spending time alone rather than with people he doesn't trust, and even after five years of living in L.A. he can't say he has any friends other than acquaintances. Although he denies feeling lonely, it is true that he has wished more than once for a friend or two. Whereas Yves doesn't hang out with a lot of people, he often finds himself troubled when trying to understand what others might think or feel. However, this doesn't mean he's incapable of putting himself in their shoes, something he considers very important to have in mind for a doctor. He is still learning to understand people, although he tries to do his best to be as comprehensive as possible. He acts polite and respectful around others, manners that his mother taught him well, however, he can get a little bit explosive and moody in situations unfamiliar to him. He hates new situations or situations he hadn't visualized beforehand as he feels he's going to ruin it all. He doesn't work well under pressure. His love life couldn't be more boring at the moment. Although he has gone on a couple of dates with both girls and boys in the past, none of these relationships made him feel like he was in love. He doesn't remember having butterflies in his tummy or blushing when he saw his date. He often ponders if this is his parents' fault. For now he has branded himself "asexual", although he still feels curiosity as to what love actually means or if it exists. There was a time in his life when he felt he was talentless compared to other people; He couldn't play any instrument, wasn't gifted at drawing or singing, and didn't exceed at any sports either. However, over time, Yves managed to comprehend that he had other types of talents, talents that many don't have and even overlook at times: Observing, listening and analyzing. He is simply good at computing data. Just like any other person born in the ram's year, Yves is a very stylish person. He enjoys going shopping once in a while, and is fond of fashion magazines-- although greatly denies this. His mother has also influenced his interest in the haute couture world in many ways. At work, he enjoys talking with the animals under his care, finding their company much more interesting than his acquaintances'. He is not allowed o have any pets of his own, but he's totally planning on having a cow or a horse later on.

[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] It all began back in a small cafe in Tours, France, where a girl called Emilie met a boy called Stephan. They were both in their twenties, they had just graduated, and they both had seen each other around campus. Friends said it was just meant to be, for they had what could be called "perfect chemistry". They began walking together, breathing together, studying together... smiling together. It wasn't long before Stephan asked for Emilie's hand. Life couldn't be more perfect. They purchased a home, filled it with flowers, showered it with insignificant details, received the approval of their mothers and fathers, and eventually moved in, sighing with dreams of a new and glorious life one next to the other. However, things always change when people begin living together. Their little apartment in the outskirts of he city began to clutter with feelings of anger and deception, with screams and whimpers, with sadness. The room they had once painted together was now a field of war, and it was not rare for Stephan to sleep in his friend's house. Whichever spell had cupid put on them was now gone, and any trace of care and love seemed old and distant. Their relationship was ruined and done, and there was nothing they could do about it, except, of course, escape from the curse-- which is precisely what Stephan did. What was worse of it all, however, was that Emilie was now a mother. Jaques-Yves was named, of course, after our famous Mr. Cousteau, as it just happened that Emilie was a huge fan of his--and also for the fact that she had been watching one of his documentaries on whales when she first felt Yves. He calmly grew up in the fairytale city, surrounded by the wonderful attractions, tourists, local people, and gifts her mother could afford through her hard-earned money. There was absolutely nothing particularly special about him, except for that one mole on his cheek (which eventually disappeared in eleventh grade). One could say he was as happy as he could with his small and normal life, for he never felt it was necessary to wish for anything else than his mother's and friend's love--- except there was one small, insignificant, unimportant, dumb detail... he wanted to meet his father. Apparently, Noel had listened to him, for one Christmas eve Stephan stormed through the front door, all covered in snow, weeping and panting, then hugging Emilie as strongly as he could. Promises of never leaving each other again aroused next to the love they had once thought lost. Stephan began sleeping in the same bed as Emilie again. But to him, their now forgotten child, the new family member felt like an alien rather than a father: Seeing his mom flirting with him made him grouch, and hearing them kiss was even worse- Just who was that man? Where had he been the whole time? And why was he there now? Well, it just happens that Stephan had been in the USA the whole time (judging by his terrible accent) in the area of Los Angeles, California. He had begun a little business there, which involved a bakery and a gift shop, and many other things--- things he wouldn't possibly abandon, oh no. But he was in love with Emilie, he said, and he had been thinking about her the whole time... it was now time they moved together again, but now in his house, in the new continent. That was how Stephan, Emilie and sixteen year-old Yves took a plane to the other side of the world, moving into a comfy little house in the suburbs, a house which their only son profoundly detested. The modern edges, the fake flowers, the gigantic yet useless kitchen, the strange smell, it was a huge hell converted into a house. It didn't matter how huge his room was, he wanted to go back. He wanted to see the cathedrals, he wanted to smell the neighbor's coffee in the morning, he wanted to greet someone in his own language. But he couldn't stay hidden in his room forever. Eventually, Stephan signed him up for English classes in a school completely unfamiliar to him. He lost a whole year learning the new language. Oh, but after that came high school. If anyone asked Yves about how he felt at high school, he would most probably say he felt like a gorilla in a zoo. The boy who had been as normal as a tree back in France was now a local treasure among students. "Oh! help me with my French homework!" "Ewww! You eat snails there, you sick people" "How do you say I love you in French? I loooove French just so much". But eventually people began to understand that Yves was actually not special... at all. They eventually left him alone and branded him as "one of the weirdos you don't sit with during lunch", this lack of attention was like heaven to him. That is when things got better, when his grades began to go up, when he got a scholarship to study in UCLA. Before he even managed to notice, he had become a young adult, ready for college. Seeing his parents living happily together in that new environment made him forgive them a little bit, tolerate the things they had put him through. Eventually, he decided to move into the university and find a job to keep himself well maintained. Nowadays he is studying at the Nursing school in UCLA. He works as an assistant to a vet called Jeremy Johannes in a clinic close to the East-side area. For now, he feels like his life is being too linear. It wouldn't hurt him, he thinks, to try out some new things.
