[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Piper works as, much to her chagrin, a fashion model. The best excuse she can give is that it offers really good money, therefore allowing her to pay for her "extremely expensive" condo. She doesn't have the skills necessary to work another high-paying job, so she's stuck as a fashion model as she was scouted for her undeniably good looks. She sometimes relies on Sparks, but that just makes her feel like a failure as an older sister, so recently she sacrificed much dignity to begin work as a fashion model, though her hobby as a freelance photographer was not washed away. When she works, she goes under the name of Lola, just because she feels the need to hide her identity, even though most of her friends already suspect her to be that enigmatic woman on the front page of that fashion magazine...

[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Well, here's Piper's "home." Piper's condo is really strange. It looks good, and is extremely comfortable (well, it is to Piper, who's not complaining), but it only has one room. Complete wooden floors, kitchen, a floor-to-ceiling window that overlooks Los Angeles, and to the side, we have a nice, comfortable fireplace with a couch sitting in front of it (Piper counts this as her bed.) When she says that there's only one room, she means "there's only one room that I use," excluding the separate washroom. However, the washroom is painfully spare, with white washed walls and barely enough necessities for a woman to live, let along a fashion model -- she manages to scrape by. How is beyond me. Other than that, there are two bedrooms that remain generally untouched. Why, nobody knows (it's just a matter of personal preference).
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Appearance
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] Piper is an Asian, originating for the Philippines -- as a result, she shares many of their natural traits: slightly tanned skin as a result of staying in the sun too long, dark hair that generally all people from the Philippines are born with, and she has no intention of dying them a different colour, not even for her job, and their petite, yet strong figures. She stands at around five feet seven inches, which is somewhat "tall" for an Asian. How, she doesn't know -- but she's definitely glad that she doesn't have to hang at around her mother's height, who reaches her shoulders now. Piper weighs at around 136 lbs (don't ask her about it, though -- it will get messy), and let's just say that's she's not exactly proud of the fact. She's got a petite, yet healthy build; you can't exactly call her wiry, but she does lack some flesh on her bones, which is unusual, considering her ethnicity and a person from the Philippines' generally hard-working nature (especially out in the fields). But that's to be expected of a model. She's lean and slender, curvy in all the right places, though she can't exactly boast about her bust size. Not that it matters. Piper sports medium-length hair that curls inwards slightly at the tips, but other than that, it's generally straight down. It’s lush and chocolate brown, and everything about it is natural -- she’ll never play with her hair. It will, and I quote, "Kill your hair and make you seem like a stuck-up, vain and preppy snob just like that girl down the street." She truly thinks that putting to much "stuff" in your hair will ruin it, and she wants to keep things au naturel. Nor will she try to "make it look pretty," it’s a huge waste of time (besides, it already looks pretty). It's normally fashioned into two ponytails that generally flow over her shoulders, tied by a fancy red velvet ribbon that's so old-fashioned it shouldn't work, although it does. One might wonder why Piper's eyes seem so different, yet so... incredibly intriguing. There's something about them that make them stand out. Well, Piper’s eyes are hazel, with a hidden greenish tint to it, making it look undeniably beautiful to both the observant and not. They range from wide and beaming with curiosity to slightly narrowed, down-turned, and seductive. Honestly, it depends on what she's trying to accomplish -- obviously, the seductive look will go with her attempt at persuasion (that usually works), but for any other old thing, they're round and attentive. Lips not quite full, and when she smiles, she reveals a dimple in her right cheek. Though her face is undeniably pretty, her choice of fashion is… questionable. In the eyes of her "self-proclaimed fashion manager and best friend," it's absolutely horrid. In general, faded jeans and a plain T-shirt suits her just fine, paired with her favorite auburn hunting boots, and her olive-colored fleece vest. She's not a very imaginative person, much to the disappointment of most who meet her in person, though she has no quips about wearing whatever somebody might have to offer (of course, this is only pertains to her job; anything else is an absolute no-no). She does have some decency, though: if the clothes show too much of her cleavage, it's too tight, or way too short, then she's definitely not wearing it, fashion job or not. She also has a tendency to wear glasses that she doesn't need, and she owns a whole set of them -- ranging from frame-less to purple framed and sometimes she'll wear a really thick pair of glasses just to mess with your head. She's fun like that.
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] Personality
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] AFFECTIONATE; In general, Piper's the type who will love you if you love them back. Of course, your definition of love and her definition of love is probably not the same -- her definition of love is equivalent to the meaning of like. Actually, it's more accurate to say that her definition of like is equivalent to the meaning of love. Your "love" is her "I'm head over heels over you, let's get married right away." Her affectionate nature hides behind a mature façade. Please, however, do not assume that she will like you right after you meet: first impressions are how Piper roll. If she thinks that you're a selfish jerk, then you can just go and talk to the hand. CHARISMATIC; When you first speak to Piper, right away you notice that she has a sort of magic to her words. Orally flamboyant, it's her persuasive charm that generally allows her to get away with most things, even though sometimes she has no intention of running away. Naturally good-looking, a fashion model and the epitome of debonair, most people have a hard time accepting the fact that she doesn't let it get to her head. COMPULSIVE; Despite how rational and down-to-earth she may seem, she's also rather compulsive; acting on impulse and her normally cool judgement is shattered by her overwhelming emotions that generally cloud her rationality. This is rare, however, a good rush of adrenaline can generally cause her to lose all sense of judgement and instead cause her to think that plowing through a problem is okay. However, this generally is only what happens on the exterior, or physically. On the interior, she's a worrywart -- extremely insecure about most things. When she's in her sensitive, emotional state, it's generally hard to get her to calm down. This doesn't happen too often, though. ENIGMATIC; Although seemingly open, she doesn't foolishly give away information about herself just like that (or rather, she's more likely to be the one getting the information than giving it). She's rather sensitive about topics that include her family, especially her sister, and will protect her feminine secrets with her teeth bared. After all, a lady isn't a lady without a secret. HONEST; Contrary to popular belief (or, what people close to her think of her), she's an honest individual. Unless the situation really calls for it, she will not lie, and even then, she'd much rather keep her mouth shut than say something that isn't true. However, she almost always will dance around the subject and keep you guessing. The way she words her phrases often cause much confusion, which is just how she likes it -- if she can't tell you directly, then beat around the bush. QUICK-WITTED; She knows how think fast in many situations. Although she's not the smartest out there, or perhaps not even the most perceptive, she's definitely street-smart and possesses that one thing that a lot of people tend to lack: common sense. This goes back to her ability to be charismatic; the fact that she's a quick thinker allows her to talk her way out of most sticky situations. As well as being rather witty with her tongue, she has uncannily sharp reflexes, similar to that of a cat's. She moves to her own tempo, and it's a fast one. IMPATIENT; Along with what was just said about a quick tempo, she can also be rather impatient about things. Of course, while there aren't many situations where she's going to need something, if she needs something, she needs it now. At that very moment. SENSITIVE; Touchy, delicate, fragile, thin-skinned -- they all pertain to Piper, deep down. Sure, on the outside, if you insult her or say something she doesn't like, she might just laugh it off or even fire back a retort. However, on the inside, she's being extremely self-conscious about it. She's rather susceptible to verbal barbs, and though she's prone to making her own little fun, she also tends to worry about most things that pertain to her negatively. She's strong on the outside, yes, but on the inside her sensitivity is equivalent to that of a small child. She's skilled at throwing all of her "weak points" under an ornamental rug. RATIONAL; Down-to-earth and an incredible tomboy, she's not one to care about appearances, and it's the only thing that she's not sensitive about. It's her rational side to her that allows her to think about things clearly and effectively... when she's not being emotional and sensitive about things. She's quite the shrewd schemer, and is good at getting what she wants, though she wants very little. FICKLE; Responsibility? What's that? Rather than being the responsible adult, like she's supposed to, she's extremely non-committing and is prone to giving up early. She constantly tells herself that she'll be responsible and committed, but then when it comes down to it, she's doing things at the very last minute, which is definitely not healthy for her working life. She tries to be laid-back about most things, too -- again, it doesn't work when the deadline's tomorrow.
[cs=3][atrb=style,width: 460px; text-align: center; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px;] History
[cs=3][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width: 450px; text-align: center; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: 25px;] (1989 - 1999) Piper isn't the type of person with an incredibly dark and somber past -- actually, it was pretty nice. Born to her two very lovable parents, Maurice and Ivan McQueen. Maurice was a short, bubbly woman whose appearance matched her personality, and was an incredibly open book. She loved everybody, and was rather immature for her age, though it was that part about her that made her utterly irresistible. Ivan, on the other hand, was much more mature, serene and somewhat moody, with an extremely complex mind and a wise perspective. It is said that Piper inherited her lovable nature from her mother and her enigmatic ways from her father. Piper loved them both to bits. Piper grew up extremely loved and cared for -- a very sheltered and maybe even somewhat boring life. Of course, while Piper loved her parents and would've never traded them for anything in the world, she felt that her life was lacking that very much needed excitement. However, at the time, she didn't think much about it. There were many more things to worry about, like persuading her father to let her sit in the front seat of the car, or perhaps trying to get mother to by her another box of Twinkies. Either way, it was a life that Piper loved and wouldn't have traded for the world. As per her affectionate and generally fun demeanor, she grew up with a lot of friends in elementary school. The girls adored her because she went along with their conversations, the guys admired her on the interior because she was prettier than the other girls (though they showed their childish infatuation by lightly teasing and poking fun at her). Her early years were probably the very peak of her life -- or at least, that was what Piper assumed. Life was going so smoothly that she assumed that it was conventional to live a life like hers, allowing her to become blissfully ignorant of the harshness of the world. This would soon be changed, however. (2000 - 2006) This was probably the most influential set of years ever to pass under Piper's nose, who failed to detect anything. One day, her parents told her that they would get her a surprise and told her to wait patiently as they went out to go fetch it. Piper, although extremely perplexed, quietly obliged. It wasn't even her birthday. Why were they going to get something for her out of the blue? When the happy pair came back, however, saying that Piper was surprised was an extreme understatement. They brought home a cute little girl, with a placid visage and the demeanor of a little girl. It was like love at first sight; Piper adored her to bits. She was finally getting the chance to become a big sister -- the young lady was determined to set her on the right path (like hers) and raise her up right (which was technically Maurice's job, but Piper wouldn't take no for an answer). She wasn't going to mess up. It was here where she decided that she'd try to become the perfect role model for her newest little sister. Not to mention, she was entering middle school now. Wasn't she to be considered responsible enough to look after her little sister? Sparks was seven at the time, and therefore it wasn't too much of a chore to supervise her: no changing dirty diapers, no bottle feeding, no need to teach her how to walk. She could already do all that stuff, so it was like having her responsibility cut in half and she hadn't even started yet. However, they say that middle school is a time of changing, and Piper was no exception. Friends that she'd known for all her elementary school life began to hook up. Piper knew that one way or the other, she'd have to join the fray. She saw no point, though, seeing as that the inevitable break-ups would cause her friends to go nuts, seeking Piper's and the other girls' comfort. Piper told them over and over again that there was no point: they'd have to break up at some point. It wasn't like they were planning on getting married, so why did they even bother? Most of her middle school years flew right over her head. However, Piper had no right to talk whatsoever. A childhood friend of hers, Nathaniel Brandt, was becoming more and more attractive each day. His hidden features that normally didn't make it past ignorant, childish filters were suddenly dawning upon Piper. The way he talked, the way he laughed, and of course she was attracted to the way he looked. She'd known him ever since she was a child, and it struck her as stupid as to how she'd never really noticed it before. So, as a way to "try to hook up yet not seem too hypocritical," Piper found herself attempting to converse with Nate more. Things that she'd never really been interested in, such as his favorite color or his favorite foods (and she once failed to get his favorite type of girl). She didn't want this relationship to be loose and easy -- it was supposed to be a meaningful one. It seems, however, that either Piper wasn't able to convey her feelings well enough or Nate was a bit thick-headed, but she saw no change in their relationship, nor did she feel that they were getting any closer (or perhaps it was just Piper's tendency to act like a tomboy that scared him away). Either way, she was disappointed with what she was getting. However, she wasn't able to cough up enough guts to actually ask him out. It was out of the question! Nate was also one year younger than her -- that wasn't helping her at all. So, middle school passed without much progress between the two, much to Piper's utter disappointment. She moved onto high school, her relationship with Sparks still sailing smoothly, but her relationship with Nate plummeting. Come high school, Piper was even more popular than she'd really thought, though she didn't give other boys even the slightest glance -- she was all for Nate, and Nate refused to take the bait. Her romantic life wasn't going so well for her. Nate could be so opaque sometimes. (2007 - 2012) Piper's life began to slowly roll downhill at this point. As soon as Piper thought that she'd made some progress with Nate, as soon as she thought that she might actually have a chance with him, the dumb idiot had to leave for college and practically sever their perfectly fine relationship right there. Everything that Piper had been working for was ruthlessly sent down the drain. Piper remembered breaking down that night, calling Nate evil names, cursing him, yet also secretly wishing for him to come back so that they could start over again. Suddenly, everything Piper didn't do came back to haunt her. She missed her chance, and she was certain that they'd never see each other again. Slowly, however, Piper learned how to get over him. She moved on, but there was another troubling situation -- her sister. Sparks, Piper had noticed, was becoming increasingly colder and more rebellious as the days went by. She noticed her not-so-lovable glances directed at their parents, and even though Piper's relationship with her adopted little sister was generally stable, she wasn't so sure everything was all right with her. However, she didn't notice this until the girl moved away from home when she was only sixteen. At the time, Piper had already moved out and was living independently, so when she received a call from her mother that she had gone missing, and that all of her clothes were missing, Piper suffered from a mini heart attack. Fortunately, Sparks called and notified Piper about her "situation," which was extremely vague and failed to explain much, other than the fact that she'd decided to move out and she was doing fine. The fact that she was okay calmed Piper down considerably, though the fact that she had to call her parents to tell them that all was well was a little bit more than disconcerting. Fast forward to the very recent past, and Piper's doing fine -- she was now generally in control of her life, with a job as a fashion model (the thought never fails to irk her, though she knows that it's for the best). She enjoys photography, and she generally lives her life in peace when she's not out doing a photo-shoot or something of the sort. Since her company had (reluctantly) obliged to her wishes (no nudity, no making out with random strangers, no clothes that were too revealing, no awkwardly sexual modelling positions, among other things), she generally feels that her life's been going peacefully. However... something's missing. Or rather, someone's missing.
