The Golden Trio, reunited at last!
Really, how dare Leon run off to New York City and leave them behind. It was criminal! Who cares if it was ~*bro bonding time,*~ he had no right to just run off like that! He better have brought gifts back with him, or she wasn't talking to him for, like, a year, at the very least, and don't get her started on what a jerk he was-
Just kidding. To be honest, Gabi was indescribably excited to see her other best friend again. He really hadn't been gone all that long, but with everything that had happened since graduation she just... wanted some semblance of normalcy back. And the three of them together again would be a step in the right direction for that!
But waiting for him was proving to be a trial of patience. Gabi heaved a sigh, bouncing from one foot to the other as she watched people stream towards the baggage claim. This was boring. You would think you'd be able to instantly spot a freaking 6'2" giant in a crowd, but apparently it was actually a lot harder than you'd think.
"Do you think I should hold up the sign?" She asked the other 6 foot giant beside her, glancing up at Hayden with a raised brow. Lele had to be here by now, so what the heck was taking him so long? She wanted to see her favorite person in the whole wide world already! (Hint: it wasn't Leon- it was Leon's older brother, Luther.)
That's it; she was going to do it. "I'm going to hold up the sign." She declared, before picking the cardboard disaster off the floor at her feet and holding it above her head. People scuttling past stole glances at the sign and chuckled before moving on. And Gabi would hope so- she spent a lot of time and effort on this thing! It had 'ICE PRINCESS' scrawled across it in neat cursive, covered in glitter and sequins and whatever else Gabi could get her hands on.
It was the best arts and crafts project ever, and Leon had better appreciate it!

tagged: failtwin, craycray. time: May 13th 2012, 15:00 speech: hayden. notes: knight is posting after me! He'd spent the past couple of days in quite the muddled state, to say the least.
Everything had seemed relatively normal when he'd woken up from that dream that wasn't a dream. He hadn't gone to work yet, so he hadn't had the chance to check with Bailey about whether it had actually happened, but he was quite sure that he'd been making the entire thing up. Bailey probably didn't know Julie, they hadn't been in the same dream, and how in the world had he managed to conjure up such a realistic image of Korea? Probably too many hours on Youtube, searching for videos of Big Bang and dancing along to them alone in his room. (He needed a different song to sing in the shower than Super Bass-- it wasn't his fault!)
But that was before he'd gone out for a walk in the park that evening, and had found him assaulted by a slew of rain and dirt and most of all, mud.
It had been like a moment out of Inception. Caked sludge started flying at him at breakneck speed, and in a matter of seconds he found himself practically drowning in the stuff. Hayden had let out a little whimper of fear as the sludge had practically tackled him, but it was relentless. It was unyielding. The only thing Hayden had been able to say was:
"W- what on earth?"
He still wasn't aware of the talking cube, waiting for him at his bedside at home. No, he would learn about that later. But the next afternoon he'd found himself at the airport with Gabi, waiting for their other best friend to show up. He had grimaced at the sign she'd brought, shaking his head in protest as she said she wanted to hold up the sign. "I don't know whether that'll do a good job of attracting Leon..." Hayden had said, but because she was Gabi she did the exact opposite of what Hayden had asked him for, and started waving it up in the sky.
He hadn't told her about the mud yet. Hayden grimeaced--
Wait, grime-ace--
Noooooooo!!!

He saw the damned sign coming, even before he stepped onto ground. Leon also knew that his friends would be standing in the front, thanks to the manoeuvring of one Gabrielle Alberts. That girl had the honour of being one of his two best friends and also the person who had his heart. Four years and counting. Now that they were starting college soon and in the same one at that, it was finally time to make a move. Part of the reason why he was whisked off to New York to spend some time with his brother was to do some reflection and shopping. Luther had been gleeful and more than happy to take a short trip with his little brother; he claimed that he wasn't spending enough time with his favourite brother. Leon decided not to tell him that he was his only brother and therefore logically, his favourite.
So even though he'd die first before admitting it, Leon did get a makeover and there will be two very surprised individuals at that. The tall blonde made his way out unseen by his two friends. He actually heard them before he saw them, with Gabi's voice travelling over most people's but he didn't go straight to them. Instead, he made his way around and stealthily crept up behind them. Gabi's unruly brown curls was a beacon of direction and he actually managed to creep up on Gabi from the back. Leaning in, the young man spoke up softly and calmly just by her ear, even though his words were anything but mild.
"I should kill you for that sign."
Despite the horrendous sign, Leon was honestly glad to be back in California and with his friends. New York was great but nothing beats home. But home came with certain things and one of those was his older brother's dramatics. Just as Gabi turned around to give him a hug, Luther decided to make an appearance, announcing his presence with a pout.
"How come I didn't get a sign?! I'm feeling really unloved right now. He got glitter! And sequins!"
How they are related will always remain a mystery to Leon.

Obviously, Hayden didn't know the first thing about Leon if he thought the sign wasn't going to work. It was totally going to work. Totally. "Please, he'll be like a moth to a flame." She retorted with a roll of her eyes, waving the sign over her head like she just didn't care. "Do you know how long I worked on this thing?"
(Exactly 14 minutes.)
Her arms were starting to get tired, though, and she was just about to make Hayden hold the sign for her when a voice spoke low and calm in her ear. The brunette jolted in shock, before quickly spinning around to face her enemy. If he wanted her sign he was going to have to pry it out of her cold dead fingers hey wait just a second. She frowned in confusion as she took in the blond boy standing before her- it just went to show how successful Leon's makeover had been. Or maybe just how incredibly dense Gabi could be most of the time.
Eventually a light bulb turned on upstairs, and her eyes widened in surprise just as a beaming smile found it's way to her lips. "Lele!" She cried, dropping her sign on the airport floor as she rushed forward to hug him as hard as she possibly could. Which, y'know, all things considered was pretty hard, if she did say so herself.
The hug didn't last too long, however, as Leon's older brother made his appearance. Gabi abandoned her friend in favor of turning to Luther, a teasing lilt in her voice as she replied, "Lulu please, you don't need a sign to know how much I love you!" Unlike some people... but she wasn't complaining. They were together again. You would think they had been gone for months, but that was Gabi for you, blowing things out of proportion left and right.

tagged: failtwin, craycray. time: May 13th 2012, 15:00 speech: hayden. notes: knight is posting after me! Hayden bit his lip, but said nothing more. His gaze shifted towards the ground. Somehow, with how muddled the past few days had been-- oh no, not again-- he wasn't quite as good at arguing with Gabi about her actions as he normally was. And considering the fact that he had never been very good at that in the first place, he had gone from being pretty bad to absolutely horrendous. Hopefully Leon would arrive soon. Maybe he would be able to explain to Gabi why this sign wasn't a good idea--
"I should kill you for that sign."
"Leon!"
Hayden's expression immediately changed to one of complete glee as he whirled around, facing the other male. Gabi was getting there first, rushing to hug him with the brightest grin on her face, and Hayden headed in that direction, not noticing that the sign had fallen onto the ground. Needless to say, he managed to step on it as he ran, not realizing a distinct lack of friction between his foot and the ground--
Which also meant that the sign sent him plummeting onto his face in all its pink glittery glory.
SPLAT.
"Ow..." Hayden muttered, glancing upwards to see his two friends enveloped in a tight embrace. Slowly getting up, he winced. At least he hadn't broken anything, right? The brunette picked up the sign, walking up to the two of them, his little trip not stopping his wide smile.
"You forgot this," he said to Gabi, the lightest tinge of sarcasm present in his voice. With that, he wrapped his arms around the two of them, pulling them into a large group hug. "I'm so glad you're finally here, Leon!" he exclaimed, before glancing up to note that the other male's older brother was here. "And you too, Mr. Everett. How was the flight?" Even though Gabi was calling him Luther, Hayden still couldn't forget the fact that he had been his high school math teacher. The older Everett had certainly made AP Calculus somewhat palatable, but he was still a figure of authority in Hayden's eyes.

He had to smile at the grin that split the dark-haired boy's face. It was good to see Hayden again, Leon missed his best friends too much for a short trip to New York. Then his smile turned upside down when the very same boy face planted into the pink glittery monstrosity that Gabi called a sign. Speaking of which, the brunette girl felt rather nice against him but he resisted doing anything because he had a plan. And everyone knew how important plans were to Leon. Well, a handful of people who knew him. Then Hayden joined into the hug and Leon wrapped an arm around a trim waist. Now he felt complete, to sound cliched. Hayden popped the balloon by addressing the other blonde.
"Duuuuuude. You're out of high school now. So you're cool to call me Luther. Besides, I gotta thank you for keeping this sourpuss from turning into a dried lemon. Mr. Everett makes me feel my actual age. " His brother's grin was blinding and Leon rolled his eyes. What the elder Everett meant was that he didn't want to be outed as a high school maths teacher because it would cause him to drop 'cool points'. Again, how were they related?
"So what kind of trouble did you both get into while I was away?"
He wasn't even asking if they actually got into trouble or not because it was a no brainer. They definitely got into trouble. He could feel it in his bones. After four years, he had developed some sort of troublemaking sensor. And it was pinging. Leon squared his gaze onto the two and just merely waited. He'll get an answer sooner or later.
