Yeah, sure, cool people and cool places -- if you were into the kind of scene that Paris was into. You know, the whole fake ID deal to get into questionable clubs and get (for lack of a more delicate term) piss-ass drunk while hanging out with a less than savory crowd. Yeah, sure, classy, wasn't it? Not. At least, that was what Rhiannon's opinion of some (read: a lot) of Paris' friends and habits was. "I'm pretty sure that the seedy underbelly of Hollywood is not the first place Hayden needs to see of LA," Rhiannon muttered to herself, resisting the urge to a.) roll her eyes and b.) smack the palm of her hand to her forehead. Honestly, she could show Hayden a much more enjoyable and less obnoxious scene. Maybe she would slip Hayden her number later over dinner, if only to rescue him from Paris' clutches, as was her duty.
"San Marino is a much... well, quieter place than here," Rhiannon said, turning her attention to Hayden now. "Considerably safer too -- as they say, do be careful in Los Angeles and do keep your wits about you." She gave Paris a pointed look for a moment, and then returned her focus to the other boy. "That being said, I'm sure you'll get along just fine. You learn pretty quickly what to expect around these parts, and it's not that difficult to learn on the fly." Well, it depended on the person, but she didn't need to scare Hayden off so quickly. "Although, if you want to go to San Marino sometime, I would be glad to take you there on a weekend when I'm head over there myself." Well, they'd be taking public transportation or her dad's car, but still. (Option one was preferable though -- she didn't need her dad to ask her if he was her boyfriend while simultaneously putting him through the nine circles of hell.)
Apparently, the night was bent on having her switch her attentions back and forth at whiplash speed tonight, because Paris had chosen that exact moment to drop the bomb that he needed to stay over at her dorm. Again. The fact that this wasn't anything new was slightly alarming, if she really thought about it -- how the hell was Paris managing to get away with all of this? (Although Quentin probably knew -- maybe she'd give her older brother a call later to see what was up.) With a bit of a (daintily executed) sigh to express her exasperation, Rhiannon replied, "Just make sure you don't make me have to get up to turn your alarm off off for you before booting you out of bed, don't use my makeup or the nice perfume Mom got me, and make sure you get to school on time." She hoped she had spare bedding around...
And back to Hayden. Sometimes, Rhiannon wondered how some people managed to keep up with simultaneous conversations without even batting so much as a single eyelash -- it was no easy task, she was starting to find out. "Well, yes, you could say that," she replied with a bit of a practiced, meant-to-be charming giggle. "I'm aiming for something more like Elie Saab or Vera Wang though." She could have gone on to further explain, but it would seem that the trio had already arrived at the restaurant. Ah, perhaps a conversation for another time. Or later. Either or would work just fine for Rhiannon, really. It would seem that Hayden wanted to sit outside, and that Paris had taken charge to making sure that such an arrangement was seen to. Well, she wasn't about to object -- the outside did offer a nice view of the bustling scene that was LA Live at night. All things considered, this was just fine.
